Coming to Foxy's is like participating in an LA institution. We went for Sunday breakfast, bright and early, and got a nice outdoor table. Although, indoors wouldn't have been bad either with how warm and homely it is inside. The menu has diner classics but my party went with southwestern style breakfast plates. Our server was great with our requests for sharing plates and refilled our hot drinks without even needing to be asked. The food is delicious, no-nonsense, and priced reasonably. First time at Foxys and it was nice. I am not a fan of the dirty toasters at the table. They have many options and looks like they're delicious options. This review is based on today's experience and past experiences. This is THE brunch spot in Glendale. It's packed every weekend with families. The food is always solid and the service is typically great. Today, we had an unusually bad time, breakfast took about 40 minutes and our waitress was a mess (she let us know she was new, but she was having a rough day). So I can vouch for their service being fantastic about 90% of the time, but today was an off day. Overall, I can recommend it, and we'll continue to return here, but maybe not on a day we're super hungry for a quick brunch... read more

A long time customer, this place is an institution- like the Cheers Bar. Portions are great. The business was sold and service declined. They fired long time employees, short staffed, tables aren't always cleaned off and I was served on a plate with two big chips, along with a mug with rough edges. The waitress said she wouldn't charge me - great customer service- her manager overruled her and said he gave me a 10% discount. He didn't have his employees back. Put her in an awkward spot. I always enjoy a great breakfast and brunch. This place fits the bill as they have a variety of great options to satisfy the brunch type of need. Their SANTA FE OMELETTE which is a flour tortilla stacked with black beans & scrambled eggs. Topped with their homemade ranchero sauce, cheese & avocado. Their country breakfast is just as good. I'd been wanting to come here forever, so finally gave Foxy's a try for brunch. It is so cute inside! I love A-frames. The dining room is adorable, and there is a fireplace on each side. There's also a bar area in the front, as well as outdoor seating. My husband and I sat inside in the front area by the window. We didn't have to wait at all despite it being pretty busy. Our server was very attentive and our drinks were always being refilled. As they should be. Coffee was a good diner style brew. Their menu is pretty extensive so it was a bit of a choice overload. But I ended up with the chilaquiles with shrimp. I didn't realize they came covered in cheese though. Probably wouldn't have ordered them if I knew that. Too much cheese! But the dish was pretty tasty. It was a lot of food. Like at least 2 servings, so come hungry! Parking is a bit tricky here. The front lot fills up quickly. And it was a bit confusing where the back lot was. You have to go up a block on a residential street to find it. But that lot had plenty of space. Definitely coming back here soon with friends to try more dishes and just revel in the cute atmosphere. Such a charming place! read more

Foxy's been around forever and it shows. We had lunch on Wednesday, April 15. We were very disappointed with the restrooms. Husband went to men's restroom and the handle from a urinal was trickling, not flushing, trash was over flowing and the smell was bad, strong urine odor. I went to the women's restroom and same. Looked like the toilets hadn't been wiped and scrubbed in a long while. Smelled like urine too. We notified one of the servers and told us to ask the person behind the register, that if he said anything to him directly, it's like going in one ear and out the other. Foxy's is a nice establishment, it's not a fast food restaurant. We won't be going there again. read more

Great coffee shop/Diner on Colorado. Has quite a diverse menu. Food is solid, waiters are so very nice. Good service too which is so important!! I had a big salad with lovely grilled steak. So very good. Hubby had chicken cordon bleu. Very generous with their dishes. I wish I lived in Glendale because I would come here often. Wonderful experience to go to this classic diner. Service was so friendly and portions were spectacular.

This was our first time eating here. We were in town visiting our son and he recommended Foxy's because a local he had met when he moved to the area told him it was his favorite spot. Okay, the food was hot, flavorful, and did not disappoint. The croissant French toast was flaky as you would expect and had just the right amount of egg to bread ratio. It was absolutely delicious. Next, the traditional French toast was also just as delicious but of course the croissant was the favorite. The shrimp Chilaquiles came with a different variety of tortillas. There was green, red, and regular corn tortillas. It was amazing! The staff were excellent and the ambience pleasant. In fact, I had two pleasant conversations with other customers in the restaurant. One was a regular who recommended the hot chocolate and chilaquiles. The other was just a very friendly senior citizen who stopped to exchange pleasantries on her way out. We will definitely come back when we are in town. read more

This place is packed on weekends and we stopped by on a Tuesday morning for breakfast. No waiting and attentive service. Endless coffee, quiet patio seating. Oh and good food too. Enjoyed the cinnamon roll French toast, it was pretty good but I've had better ones. We also enjoyed the egg burrito, nicely smothered. Big breakfast-couldn't finish it off. Parking lot was east access, there is a second lot directly behind on the next street if it's full and there is a gate for pedestrians between to two lots. Nice cozy atmosphere. read more

What a cool place! I visited for the first time today, for breakfast, and was immediately charmed by the high-country lodge / European vibe! With it's A-frame construction, exposed heavy timber beams, and rich wood-paneled interior, it warmed my heart right away. I half expected to find a roaring fireplace at each end, or a happy little wood stove. And I had to keep checking out the front window to remind myself I WASN'T in Mammoth, CA, and there WASN'T three feet of snow outside! LOL The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was honestly next level. We both had the Lox Benedict, and it was incredible. Coffee was good; prices are very affordable, and even the bathrooms are cozy! (I don't often comment on a place's restrooms unless they're nasty.) I've found the breakfast diner I plan to become a regular at. Period. read more

i'd like to note that i've been to foxy's many, many times over the years and it's always been stellar, but this past sunday's visit was abysmal to the point i started to wonder if they've changed ownership. went around 2pm on sunday, the restaurant was maybe half full, pretty normal. took a good while to flag down our server who was consistently ignoring us, maybe 15 minutes, and she literally rolled her eyes at us as she walked over to the table. we placed our order and proceeded to sit there for another 40 minutes. our server disappeared about halfway through that time, maybe she went on her break, but made no apologies for the egregious wait time and offered a salad while we were waiting (no?), had no answers for what the holdup was about. my partner and i spoke with a manager who was impolite at best and said our food would be ready in another 10 minutes on top of all that? absolutely not. he also made no apologies and we ended up walking out. there was a larger table seated near us of 5 people who were there and ordered before we walked in, who also did not receive their food by the time we left. what the hell is going on here? really disappointing because foxy's is such a fun experience normally. they also did not have any seasonal decor up like usual, and the toasters are gone from the tables. read more

The salad was good, but it was priced higher than what it is worth. They forgot the cranberries on the salad. There is no egg to help add more protein. The salad was literally spinach, cucumber, and microwave bacon. The bacon did not have good flavor. There is room of improvement for this salad. It is a good place if you have a big party where people have various food preferences. They have a good size diner for bigger parties. Too much money for a salad. Slow service. Foxy... The Nautical Nonsense is something I didn't quite wish, but it's here at this cabin in the Glendale stand alone restaurant with a variety food on a dish. Stopped in after catching a closing night performance of a theater production, with not too many places open after. My friends I was with had been here once before and like the service, which I did as well! They have toasters on most tables, very classic diner style that you don't see anymore. Lots of wine and nautical themed art and decor mixed with a rustic wood cabin style layout. The food was okay... Though a lot of the veggie dishes were pretty much just regular dishes already on the menu without meat, eggs or dairy. I didn't realize they served breakfast all day, but cool they have an extensive menu for all meals and even dietary restrictions. Parking wasn't an issue, while they don't have an abundance of spots, they do have quite a bit. I'd imagine breakfast times are the busiest, but they do have outdoor patio, indoor (table or booth) as well as limited bar seating. We did want a drink or two especially with all the art, deals on our menu and bottles on display... Ironically the fact that we couldn't be served wine, beer or any type of adult beverage due to their liquor license being expired was wild considering we sat at a table directly near their full wine rack. The restrooms are not to be used if you value your eyes.... O.O Can't believe the C rating, violations, etc... Sad a place with good service has so many issues and that's been around since the mid 60s is struggling this much, they should shut down and get everything in order... A Glendale classic since 1964! And the vibe will definitely transport you to the 60's! It looks like a mountain retreat, complete with fireplace, dark wood, high ceilings and dim lighting! All it's missing is the avocado-colored SHAG carpeting of my childhood home! The breakfast is outstanding, and quite frankly my dear, I've never been here for lunch or dinner. Despite it being on the app, they won't honor the Yelp 10% discount anymore (as of 11/17/23). (They did honor it for me when I asked though!) I love the famous (infamous) Cinnamon Roll French Toast and the Barbacoa breakfast. You can't go wrong with any of the eggs Benedict's - there an entire page of the menu devoted to them. What a disappointing experience. My family and I have been coming to Foxy's for many years now and wow how have things have changed. The host Erick was rude and with a staring problem. When wanting to pay he was no where near to help us. The waiters were calling him to come out and help and it took him a few minutes to come out and help. The quality of food/service has really decreased. When walking in to the restaurant it feels sad and lonely, there's no life. Will definitely not be coming back to this restaurant. Very disappointed. My godparents took me for my birthday this year because they remember going to different locations in the 50s, and this is the last remaining establishment. The service is so attentive, the restaurant is clean and the touch of table top toasters is adorable. I love the A frame building. There is a small parking lot but note a much larger one behind the building on the next street. The menu is plentiful, options for all dietary needs and breakfast served all day! The salmon eggs Benedict was delightful and it was a great visit with even better company. I will be returning soon, it's a great place for friends, family or even a casual date spot! read more
