This is where you meet. It reminds me of a nicer, older Perkins. It's decently comfortable (although the booths are a bit tight and have seen better days). Everyone is friendly enough. And the menu is large and just about everything will be pretty good. Or good enough. This being southern California, there are plenty of Mexican inspired dishes for breakfast. And of course the more traditional dishes as well. My breakfast was a little cold but stilil tasty nonetheless. My friends enjoyed their plates and a good, relaxing and not expensive breakfast was had by all. It's not hard to see why this place has been around for so long. It's a classic. With all that entails.

This diner is located near the Glendale Galleria and Americana at Brand Parking was okay since they have their own parking lot and it's free Inside was dim but spacious with booths and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating Menu had a good variety of dishes and pricing was reasonable since most items were under $20 Service was decent and nothing too special Got the Egg Benedict ($17.50) and it was mediocre. The Canadian bacon was very salty and the egg was slightly too overcooked so not as poached as I wanted. The hash browns were crispy and plentiful. The Quesadilla ($11) was pretty good! It was stuffed with plenty of cheese, tomatoes, and mushrooms. I was impressed with the portion size! It was very flavorful and delicious! The guacamole seemed fresh and tasty! Overall, I thought the food was okay so not sure if I will return or recommend

The food is very good and the menu is easy to understand with many variety! The service was great for a big party. The ambiance is very pleasant and intimate so everyone can hear your conversation if you're too loud.

Went here with a large group and the staff was very accommodating and attentive! I got a hot chocolate which was yummy! The eggs were cooked well, the bacon was bacon lol mostly there to give me more protein and served its purpose. I really enjoyed the croissant French toast! Had the lighter texture that you're looking for but didn't compromise on taste. Pretty decent for diner fare! The inside is dark but I enjoyed the retro almost tudor style building. Pretty cool. Would come here again for a quick breakfast!

I've only been once but can tell this place is a classic and probably frequented over and over by many of the locals. Anyway, we were in Glendale and. Wanted breakfast for lunch and found Foxy's. Something weird was going on in the parking lot with lots of spaces blocked, but happened to find a spot back in the corner. Free parking in Glendale is always great! Waited a bit for a table but once seated, service was very quick and friendly. Ordered the steak and eggs as well as the croissant French toast which was a first for us. Med rare Steak, over easy eggs and well done hash browns were all the right temp which is rare. French toast was good, but the syrup was in the small take out containers which threw us off. Same brand name, so not a big deal but I guess we were expecting the ubiquitous syrup pourer :) I also give the waitress credit for her honesty. I love home made corned beef and hash when available, but when I asked she was honest and said it was from a can. Most places do the same, so bit knocking them at all, but not something I'll order when I have the same can at home :).

Was in the Glendale area and decided to try Foxy's for breakfast with my family. Very retro interior A-frame. Think red velvet color scheme with lots of wood and gold accents. And a fire place to set the mood. Nevertheless it was a cool experience. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was good. Simple and straightforward. We had a picky eater among us and he managed to eat all his food. That speaks volume within our family. Pancakes when a little darker than accustomed to but they were light, airy and had a good texture. Served with whipped butter and syrup on the side. The eggs were all cooked perfectly. Hash browns were crispy on top and cooked just enough within. Bacon was cooked a little too much for my liking and I'd consider it dry and crisp. It didn't seem to bother my son at all. I'd recommend the eggs cordon bleu but the cordon bleu itself was half cooked perfectly and the other half fried too long which made it dry and basically hard. The half that was cooked properly though was delicious on its own and especially good with the poached egg and hollandaise sauce. Due to its variety of menu options, I'd dine at Foxy's again.

First time trying this place . I pass by all the time . It definitely did not disappoint. The pancakes melt in your mouth . Omelette was delish . Shared with my daughter . It was a nice balance . The ambience is very old school feel. Busy cafe style . Overall great experience .

Foxy's is a place where time stood still. Everything looks like it was all the rage sometime in the early seventies. Mint leaf garnish? Check. Slice of orange on every plate? You betcha. Brownish carpet? Yes. Soft lighting? Indeed. Everything is seventies, that is, besides the food and service. Sure, the menu has nods to those seventies items we grew up on (well, SOME OF US GREW UP ON) but the service was impeccable! Fast, efficient, attentive, accommodating, whispering, and personable. Those are so many adjectives to describe what was PERFECT service in a warm environment. Keep it up Foxy's!

Gringos Breakfast with hash browns

It's been at least 35 years since I was inside this place, and I swear nothing has changed! Well, except for mayby the staff. But, all was very good here. Super nice, excellent service, and the food is good. Also, it's a really good value! I had the Mexican Tuna Melt, and while it was tasty, it was a little messy. My wife had the Gringos Breakfast that was a take on Machacas. She really liked it. It's an old school coffee shop and they do a great job. I would return and recommend.

I've been dying to find a good breakfast place like Conrad's (if you're from Glendale and you remember Conrad's it was the BEST) I have to say Foxys has become one of my favorites now. Relaxing atmosphere, great service, and the food 10/10 :) price is amazing.

Best family restaurant/diner in Glendale area. Old school interiors transport you back to the 60's/70's in this fun high pitched roof building with fire places in it. Always packed with locals as they have a great variety of good American coffee shop/diner food especially a great breakfast menu. Super friendly service and management. Wine and alcohol too! Patio dining. When the parking lot is packed (usually is) - there is plenty of parking along the street. Family friendly and also good for larger groups. Expect a wait during breakfast as it is always bustling but tables turn quickly here.

This place has great choices of breakfast, plenty of omelette and meat choice, I choose the New York steak, it comes with two eggs and hash brown, choice of bread. I am happy with the steak, a thick slice. The waiter and server was attentive and stop by to ask you if you need anything from time to time. The price of food was about average, there are many seats in the patio area, the coffee isn't that strong but acceptable. I think I will come for another meal when I am in this neighborhood again.

Pets are allowed but only if leashed and for outside patio seating only unless they are a service animal. We go there often and have seen people bring their dogs and sit outside all the time.

Are they open Thanksgiving morning?

Yes, until 4pm.

Is breakfast served all day?

Yes breakfast is served all day and night.

How is the parking? Is there a private parking lot or do customers need to pay for parking?

There's parking in the drop t and the back of restaurant

Is Foxy's open on Independence Day?

Yes but they close early.

Are dogs allowed?

dogs aren't allowed inside the restaurant but I've taken my 5lb. chihuahua and sat outside on the patio. the space is limited on the patio so I don't think it would be a good idea to take a large dog though

The Black Cow Cafe has been part of my life since my college years, so when I came here now, it was always filled with nostalgia and a slowed pace over a calming meal. Opened in 1994 by a father and son, they embodied the community's "Main Street USA" vibe with a neighborhood diner where everyone knew each other, and you were served a soothing homemade meal during breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Did this cafe leave me with warm memories of the past, or did I cower from time's inevitable changes!? PURCHASE(S) Green Milan 16floz Drink ($7.95): My body needed something "green" and this sounded interesting. This smallish portion on the healthier side was packed with fresh goodness and fluffy eggs. The country potatoes were plentiful, nicely seasoned, but lacked the outer crisp I liked. The large sourdough toast with creamy butter and preserves rounded out the meal well. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=vDf51dNgOCoyIaPX_AOvrw Fish & Chips w/Coleslaw & Muffin ($17.95): Made with tempura fried Icelandic cod served with jalapeno tartar sauce, and Hawaiian coleslaw, the three fish pieces were crunchy, hot, and thick but needed more seasoning so the tarter sauce came in handy (no vinegar!). There were no TVs nor could I recall any background music over all of the loud conversations. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL It was nice to revisit The Black Cow Cafe, and hoped to return soon. The menu was packed, the food was good, the prices were comparable, and the service was busy but manageable. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $69.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). My husband and I arrived just before 9 PM on a Wednesday night. The parking lot was almost full, which we took as a good sign. We were told to seat ourselves, given menus, and a busboy kindly brought us water. After that, we were completely ignored for about 10-15 minutes. No server came by to take our order until we had to flag someone down ourselves. It became clear that the two servers had both assumed the other person was taking care of our table. We ordered a slice of the Bavarian Chocolate Banana Cream pie and a slice of pecan pie. Surprisingly, it took quite a while for just two slices of pie to come out. When the pecan pie finally arrived, it was extremely hot, almost as if it had been microwaved too long. It had practically melted onto the plate, and the pecans had a rubbery texture that made it seem reheated. Once it cooled enough to eat without burning your mouth, the flavor itself was mediocre at best. The Bavarian Chocolate Banana Cream pie was somehow even worse. It tasted old, like it had been sitting refrigerated for days. The whipped cream around the edges was overly firm and bordering on dry. The only hint of "chocolate" was the faint beige-brown tint of the filling. On top of that, it had enormous chunks of banana that left literal holes in the filling when removed. Even the crust felt like an afterthought. We took a few bites, asked for the check, and left. For a place called House of Pies, this being our first impression, they may want to consider rebranding to just "House."
