My boyfriend and I had lunch here after a day of shopping at The Americana. Thank you Yelp for recommending this place since we weren't sure where to go. There have their own parking lot so we found parking right away. It did start raining during our visit so that was convenient. Diners are cool since they have an array of different cuisines. I wanted breakfast and my boyfriend had Mexican. Their corn beef has plate was delicious! Seasoned well and filled me up. They also have salsas that were tasty and added to the flavor. The service was great. Our waitress was awesome! I forget how much our entire meal cost but it was reasonable for two entrees, two coffees and a soda. Go try this place!
Not sure I can add anything new to the thousands of reviews already here. Everything was good, so let's just add one more 5 stars to the pile. Foxy's has that classic old school diner feel. Small parking lot, friendly staff, huge menu. Breakfast, mexican dishes, burgers, pasta. salads, etc everyone should find something. I ordered the Chicken Fajita Omelette with French toast. Omelette had cheese inside, plenty of chicken and veggies, and the hash potatoes were really good. 5/5 for me. Just look at the photo. Coffee was decent and refills were fast. You pay at the front counter before you leave, old school style. Good food for very fair prices. Nothing to complain about here.
When I think of a diner, I think of bright lights, chrome, and tile. Foxy's is an old-timey restaurant that shows its age with a very dark interior and ornate fixtures. The menu is varied - breakfast, Mexican dishes, burgers, pasta with only pesto as the sauce choice... We ordered the house-made chips as an appetizer and burgers. Everything was very tasty and the service was attentive. We are not local, but if we were we think our visit would be one and done.
This was an interesting diner. I liked its old school vibe. It probably hasn't changed much since it opened. And that's pretty cool. We came for breakfast. Service was attentive and quick. My wife and I shared the Eggs Benedict and our kid had the French Toast. The Eggs Benedict was good, but not great. The hash browns could have had more seasoning, but with some hot sauce it didn't matter. Our kid loved the French Toast. Overall, a pretty decent meal. Nice portions and quick service. I would return to try something else.
Haven't been to Foxy's in years! (Used to be our go to for brunch/ breakfast all the time.) Their menu hasn't changed, just added some things. Coffee fresh and fast on the refills. I ordered the Chilaquiles with Carne Asada, extra sauce on the side and a grilled jalapeño. Still delicious and good as I remember! My daughter ordered the Patty Melt with cheddar cheese - she loved hers as well. Burger was juicy, fries cooked just right. Will definitely start coming here more often. *So glad we decided on Foxy's - service is still the same- fast and friendly. 9 out of 10 for me, enjoy!
Foxy's is a Glendale landmark and often has long wait times, which usually suggests a popular spot. It's conveniently located across from the Americana on Colorado Street and has plenty of old-school diner charm. I love the nostalgic atmosphere and all of the unique decorations throughout the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food has been a major disappointment. My husband and I have visited several times because we wanted to give Foxy's the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe we had just come on an off day. Sadly, after our third visit, we realized the experience was consistently disappointing. My husband ordered the Machaca omelette. The machaca was burnt to a crisp, extremely greasy, and served with cold tortillas. To make matters worse, the orange juice he ordered was forgotten. His plate wasn't even warm when it arrived, and he was both disappointed and put off by the meal. I ordered the Machaca scramble, and unfortunately, it wasn't much better. Like my husband's dish, it was cold and overly greasy. I was equally disappointed. As someone who loves classic diners and their unique character, I really wanted to enjoy Foxy's. The atmosphere is charming, but the food simply hasn't lived up to expectations during any of our visits. After giving it multiple chances, we've come to the conclusion that we won't be returning.
Tonight was the worst experience at Foxy's. I ordered a Cobb salad for take out. There was no turkey on the salad and I found a hair in the salad dressing. I dug around in the salad dressing to look for more hair and found a square plastic bread tie. I called Foxy's and was told "well this Kind of stuff happens sometimes." The best I was offered was a new salad. No thanks!
This diner is located near the Glendale Galleria and Americana at Brand Parking was okay since they have their own parking lot and it's free Inside was dim but spacious with booths and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating Menu had a good variety of dishes and pricing was reasonable since most items were under $20 Service was decent and nothing too special Got the Egg Benedict ($17.50) and it was mediocre. The Canadian bacon was very salty and the egg was slightly too overcooked so not as poached as I wanted. The hash browns were crispy and plentiful. The Quesadilla ($11) was pretty good! It was stuffed with plenty of cheese, tomatoes, and mushrooms. I was impressed with the portion size! It was very flavorful and delicious! The guacamole seemed fresh and tasty! Overall, I thought the food was okay so not sure if I will return or recommend
This is where you meet. It reminds me of a nicer, older Perkins. It's decently comfortable (although the booths are a bit tight and have seen better days). Everyone is friendly enough. And the menu is large and just about everything will be pretty good. Or good enough. This being southern California, there are plenty of Mexican inspired dishes for breakfast. And of course the more traditional dishes as well. My breakfast was a little cold but stilil tasty nonetheless. My friends enjoyed their plates and a good, relaxing and not expensive breakfast was had by all. It's not hard to see why this place has been around for so long. It's a classic. With all that entails.

After a long, exhausting four-hour dialysis session, my friend Maria picked me up because I had a doctor's appointment immediately afterward. I was starving and had been craving a tostada salad for years, so we stopped at Foxy's, a place I'd been going to off and on since the 80s. Both Maria and I ordered the chicken tostada salad, and what arrived was incredibly disappointing.!!! The chicken was bland, tasted like frozen chicken with fake grill marks, and there was barely any of it. The salad itself was mostly lettuce and baby spinach. Seriously, who the hell puts baby spinach in a tostada salad? We were so dissatisfied with those salads that we told the waitress to take them back because we didn't want them. The waitress, who was also the cashier, suggested that we order something else instead. Maria ordered a cheeseburger that came with fries. Since she used to come to Foxy's about 20 years ago when her kids were in junior high, and because she knows I like carne asada burritos, she suggested I order the carne asada burrito because she remembered them being huge back then. Well, not anymore. The burrito was much smaller than what she remembered, and after I took literally one tiny bite just to taste it, I immediately noticed bell peppers in it. Wtf? What kind of idiot puts bell peppers in a carne asada burrito? I asked Maria if they used to put bell peppers in them years ago, and she immediately said no. Maria tasted it herself and was disgusted by it too. When I say I barely touched it, I mean it. I literally took one small taste, Maria barely had a bite herself, and there was still approximately seven-eighths of that burrito left sitting on the plate. To top it all off, the burrito also came with stale-ass tortilla chips! Since I couldn't stomach the salad or the burrito, I ended up eating only half of Maria's dry, tasteless, cardboard-like cheeseburger and exactly four fries because by that point I was disgusted with the entire meal. The final bill came to $41.90. I'm on a fixed income. Paying $41.90 for half of a dry cheeseburger, four fries, and food we barely touched because it was so bad is frustrating enough. Being asked whether I wanted to take home a box for a burrito that still had seven-eighths left felt downright insulting. No thank you. I don't take home food that I thought was crap! When I was paying, I told the waitress/cashier, "I wish I could speak to your manager." She told me he was right there, but I explained that I was already going to be late for my doctor's appointment and didn't want to have to reschedule until next week. I spend three days a week at dialysis and use my other days for specialist appointments and medical visits, so my schedule is already difficult enough to manage. I told her I would call the manager when I got home. When I finally spoke with the manager later, he asked me, "Why didn't you tell them you didn't like it? They would have taken it off the bill." That response left me confused because the waitress already knew exactly how dissatisfied we were from the moment the salads went back untouched. She knew we rejected them. She knew we ordered replacement meals because of them. She knew I barely touched the burrito. She knew Maria disliked it too. She knew there was almost an entire burrito left sitting on the plate. If taking it off the bill was an option, why wasn't that offered at the time? Why wasn't there an offer for a discount, partial credit, or some kind of accommodation? At the very least, after watching customers send back meals and barely touch the replacements, comping a dessert to go would have been a nice gesture. This experience was disappointing from beginning to end, especially because I remembered Foxy's so fondly from years ago. Ewww!! Never again!!!!
Nice free parking. Sat quickly but room was very cold (bring a sweater). Ordered chicken lettuce avicadi wrap. It arrived and i liked that the wrap was warm from the chicken. Usually wraps are cold. It was a nice portion and very tasty. I added tobasco sauce. The side if fruit was equally delicious and good quantity if strawberry, honeydew, cantaloupe and pineapple. Also an orange slice. I had a Dr Pepoer soda. I would highly recommend this wrap and can't wait to go back or order one to go!
I've only been once but can tell this place is a classic and probably frequented over and over by many of the locals. Anyway, we were in Glendale and. Wanted breakfast for lunch and found Foxy's. Something weird was going on in the parking lot with lots of spaces blocked, but happened to find a spot back in the corner. Free parking in Glendale is always great! Waited a bit for a table but once seated, service was very quick and friendly. Ordered the steak and eggs as well as the croissant French toast which was a first for us. Med rare Steak, over easy eggs and well done hash browns were all the right temp which is rare. French toast was good, but the syrup was in the small take out containers which threw us off. Same brand name, so not a big deal but I guess we were expecting the ubiquitous syrup pourer :) I also give the waitress credit for her honesty. I love home made corned beef and hash when available, but when I asked she was honest and said it was from a can. Most places do the same, so bit knocking them at all, but not something I'll order when I have the same can at home :).

I've been coming to foxy's for years. Today was the first time I ever felt unwelcome. I asked for a table. They said all they had was the counter so I said I'll wait.. they must've sat two or three people so I went back and asked how long is the wait. OMG, what a find! Stepped into the past (in the best way possible) to find this Mexican-American-influenced classic diner right across Colorado from The Americana at Brand. This is NOT one of those kitschy '50s diners with mini jukeboxes on the table. It's actually old school, with toasters on the table (to toast your own toast!), a moody dim-lit back area where you can hide your sorrows, and a wall of windows in the front, pouring glowing light over the dark-wood architectural interior. A-frame? M-frame? The inverted interior of an ancient ship? I'll just say it's surprising. (There's a large outdoor patio area, too.) Fast attentive and friendly service. Coffee cup never goes empty. The leaning tower of Mexico breakfast was delicious!! Would drive here all the way from Beverly Hills just for kicks next time I'm in town. Worth the trip! I've been dying to find a good breakfast place like Conrad's (if you're from Glendale and you remember Conrad's it was the BEST) I have to say Foxys has become one of my favorites now. Relaxing atmosphere, great service, and the food 10/10 :) price is amazing. read more

Such a staple in Glendale if you want good quality breakfast/brunch for a fair price. Foxy's is across the street from the galleria but not to worry, they have their own private lot for parking. The place is always packed though, but there is additional parking in the back lot if you come during the busy times. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. I prefer to sit indoors because of how homey the decor is. Each table has its own toaster as well so your toast never goes soggy! Service is always so warm and fast. Feels like you're dining in someone's home tbh. French toast special 5/5 - this is one of their most popular orders for a reason. One of the best French toast I've had. It's pretty standard French toast without all of the razzle dazzle that other places try to "fancy it up." Which honestly says a lot. It comes with a side of sausage or bacon, and eggs. Ones of the best dishes in my opinion. Chicken fried steak 4/5 - I always love a chicken fried steak and theirs is solid. I do want a little more seasoning on the steak but the gravy makes up for it. The dish comes with eggs, hashbrowns or country potatoes, and a side of toast. This is almost too much food for one person. Will always be loyal to this establishment! This place has great choices of breakfast, plenty of omelette and meat choice, I choose the New York steak, it comes with two eggs and hash brown, choice of bread. I am happy with the steak, a thick slice. The waiter and server was attentive and stop by to ask you if you need anything from time to time. The price of food was about average, there are many seats in the patio area, the coffee isn't that strong but acceptable. I think I will come for another meal when I am in this neighborhood again. read more

Fox in Glendale - Broken trust and terrible quality. I should have stayed home. Back in the 90s, this was the place to go, but the new management has completely destroyed the public trust this neighborhood staple built over decades. I ordered a New York strip, but they served a completely different, lower-quality round cut with zero fat cap. Passing off a cheaper cut of meat while charging premium prices is a total bait-and-switch. In fact, when I pointed it out, the host actually walked over to my table, looked right at the meat, and completely agreed with me that it was not a New York strip and apologized. To make matters worse, the dining setup was incredibly frustrating. The knife handle was old, scuffed, and heavily punctured, and the fork was of such cheap quality that it literally bent when I went to cut into the meat. I didn't even take a single bite of the steak. On top of all that, the dark wood table was so degraded and grimey that my arms stuck to it every time I put my elbows down. If you are going to run a classic spot, you can't cut corners in the kitchen and the dining room. Between the incorrect steak, flimsy utensils, and sticky tables, the experience at Fox was a massive disappointment. Save your money and cook at home. read more
First time at Foxys and it was nice. I am not a fan of the dirty toasters at the table. They have many options and looks like they're delicious options. I went for the ham steak breakfast and it was good. My husband ordered the corn beef hash and he also liked his meal. Aside from the toasters it was nice and I recommend Foxys! read more
Coming to Foxy's is like participating in an LA institution. We went for Sunday breakfast, bright and early, and got a nice outdoor table. Although, indoors wouldn't have been bad either with how warm and homely it is inside. The menu has diner classics but my party went with southwestern style breakfast plates. Our server was great with our requests for sharing plates and refilled our hot drinks without even needing to be asked. The food is delicious, no-nonsense, and priced reasonably. We didn't know that when we left, people would be lined up in the parking lot waiting for our spots! read more

I like Foxy's. I like the food and the parking but when I was there on a Thursday for lunch at 12:30pm there must have been a staffing shortage. We waited 20 minutes for a table when there was clearly 6 or 7 empty tables. It just did not feel right. The host was dead in the eyes. No affect or customer service skills. Anyway, my hamburger was good. The meat was so juicy it made my bottom bun soggy. The restaurant is still appealing. It has a unique look. It's aging but nice. It in a great location and it has that old school feeling, which for me, is great. Try it. Lots of free parking read more

DO NOT CALL TO ORDER. I had to wait nearly an hour when I was quoted 20 minutes. And to top it off the food had been sitting behind the servers the whole time. The food was lukewarm at best. When I got home the order was missing items I asked specifically for. Very very disappointing and won't be back here again. read more
I'd been wanting to come here forever, so finally gave Foxy's a try for brunch. It is so cute inside! I love A-frames. The dining room is adorable, and there is a fireplace on each side. There's also a bar area in the front, as well as outdoor seating. My husband and I sat inside in the front area by the window. We didn't have to wait at all despite it being pretty busy. Our server was very attentive and our drinks were always being refilled. As they should be. Coffee was a good diner style brew. Their menu is pretty extensive so it was a bit of a choice overload. But I ended up with the chilaquiles with shrimp. I didn't realize they came covered in cheese though. Probably wouldn't have ordered them if I knew that. Too much cheese! But the dish was pretty tasty. It was a lot of food. Like at least 2 servings, so come hungry! Parking is a bit tricky here. The front lot fills up quickly. And it was a bit confusing where the back lot was. You have to go up a block on a residential street to find it. But that lot had plenty of space. Definitely coming back here soon with friends to try more dishes and just revel in the cute atmosphere. Such a charming place! read more

After a hike at Griffith Park, we stopped in for a bite and had a wonderful experience. The staff was warm and welcoming, and we were seated right away. Our coffees were served piping hot and constantly refilled. The food was absolutely delicious, and the restaurant gives a charming ambiance. A great spot to unwind and enjoy a great meal! read more

I like Foxy's a lot but if you are going to seat people on the patio please clean up the area. The window well next to us was full of trash and there were pots stacked there, random utensils, a box of syrup sitting in the sun. The food is good and I love the vibe of the place but please take care of this. Note, I was just going to send this via email but there was none listed on their site.0 read more

This restaurant has been here for as long as I can remember. Plan on spending several minutes to go through their menu. There are so many menu items to choose from. I ordered the French Toast Special. My wife ordered the Chicken Melt, and our friend ordered the Tuna Melt. read more
The salad was good, but it was priced higher than what it is worth. They forgot the cranberries on the salad. There is no egg to help add more protein. The salad was literally spinach, cucumber, and microwave bacon. The bacon did not have good flavor. There is room of improvement for this salad. It is a good place if you have a big party where people have various food preferences. They have a good size diner for bigger parties. Too much money for a salad. Slow service. Great coffee shop/Diner on Colorado. Has quite a diverse menu. Food is solid, waiters are so very nice. Good service too which is so important!! I had a big salad with lovely grilled steak. So very good. Hubby had chicken cordon bleu. Very generous with their dishes. I wish I lived in Glendale because I would come here often. Parking was convenient and llenty. The service was excellent and staff were very attentive. The burgers were dry and had no seasoning. We ordered as medium but it was dry and more like well done. Foxy... The Nautical Nonsense is something I didn't quite wish, but it's here at this cabin in the Glendale stand alone restaurant with a variety food on a dish. Stopped in after catching a closing night performance of a theater production, with not too many places open after. My friends I was with had been here once before and like the service, which I did as well! They have toasters on most tables, very classic diner style that you don't see anymore. Lots of wine and nautical themed art and decor mixed with a rustic wood cabin style layout. The food was okay... Though a lot of the veggie dishes were pretty much just regular dishes already on the menu without meat, eggs or dairy. I didn't realize they served breakfast all day, but cool they have an extensive menu for all meals and even dietary restrictions. Parking wasn't an issue, while they don't have an abundance of spots, they do have quite a bit. I'd imagine breakfast times are the busiest, but they do have outdoor patio, indoor (table or booth) as well as limited bar seating. We did want a drink or two especially with all the art, deals on our menu and bottles on display... Ironically the fact that we couldn't be served wine, beer or any type of adult beverage due to their liquor license being expired was wild considering we sat at a table directly near their full wine rack. The restrooms are not to be used if you value your eyes.... O.O Can't believe the C rating, violations, etc... Sad a place with good service has so many issues and that's been around since the mid 60s is struggling this much, they should shut down and get everything in order... Do you allow pets?
Pets are allowed but only if leashed and for outside patio seating only unless they are a service animal. We go there often and have seen people bring their dogs and sit outside all the time.
How is the parking? Is there a private parking lot or do customers need to pay for parking?

Are dogs allowed?
dogs aren't allowed inside the restaurant but I've taken my 5lb. chihuahua and sat outside on the patio. the space is limited on the patio so I don't think it would be a good idea to take a large dog though
