My boyfriend and I had lunch here after a day of shopping at The Americana. Thank you Yelp for recommending this place since we weren't sure where to go. There have their own parking lot so we found parking right away. It did start raining during our visit so that was convenient. Diners are cool since they have an array of different cuisines. I wanted breakfast and my boyfriend had Mexican. Their corn beef has plate was delicious! Seasoned well and filled me up. They also have salsas that were tasty and added to the flavor. The service was great. Our waitress was awesome! I forget how much our entire meal cost but it was reasonable for two entrees, two coffees and a soda. Go try this place!
Not sure I can add anything new to the thousands of reviews already here. Everything was good, so let's just add one more 5 stars to the pile. Foxy's has that classic old school diner feel. Small parking lot, friendly staff, huge menu. Breakfast, mexican dishes, burgers, pasta. salads, etc everyone should find something. I ordered the Chicken Fajita Omelette with French toast. Omelette had cheese inside, plenty of chicken and veggies, and the hash potatoes were really good. 5/5 for me. Just look at the photo. Coffee was decent and refills were fast. You pay at the front counter before you leave, old school style. Good food for very fair prices. Nothing to complain about here.
When I think of a diner, I think of bright lights, chrome, and tile. Foxy's is an old-timey restaurant that shows its age with a very dark interior and ornate fixtures. The menu is varied - breakfast, Mexican dishes, burgers, pasta with only pesto as the sauce choice... We ordered the house-made chips as an appetizer and burgers. Everything was very tasty and the service was attentive. We are not local, but if we were we think our visit would be one and done.
This was an interesting diner. I liked its old school vibe. It probably hasn't changed much since it opened. And that's pretty cool. We came for breakfast. Service was attentive and quick. My wife and I shared the Eggs Benedict and our kid had the French Toast. The Eggs Benedict was good, but not great. The hash browns could have had more seasoning, but with some hot sauce it didn't matter. Our kid loved the French Toast. Overall, a pretty decent meal. Nice portions and quick service. I would return to try something else.
Haven't been to Foxy's in years! (Used to be our go to for brunch/ breakfast all the time.) Their menu hasn't changed, just added some things. Coffee fresh and fast on the refills. I ordered the Chilaquiles with Carne Asada, extra sauce on the side and a grilled jalapeño. Still delicious and good as I remember! My daughter ordered the Patty Melt with cheddar cheese - she loved hers as well. Burger was juicy, fries cooked just right. Will definitely start coming here more often. *So glad we decided on Foxy's - service is still the same- fast and friendly. 9 out of 10 for me, enjoy!
Foxy's is a Glendale landmark and often has long wait times, which usually suggests a popular spot. It's conveniently located across from the Americana on Colorado Street and has plenty of old-school diner charm. I love the nostalgic atmosphere and all of the unique decorations throughout the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food has been a major disappointment. My husband and I have visited several times because we wanted to give Foxy's the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe we had just come on an off day. Sadly, after our third visit, we realized the experience was consistently disappointing. My husband ordered the Machaca omelette. The machaca was burnt to a crisp, extremely greasy, and served with cold tortillas. To make matters worse, the orange juice he ordered was forgotten. His plate wasn't even warm when it arrived, and he was both disappointed and put off by the meal. I ordered the Machaca scramble, and unfortunately, it wasn't much better. Like my husband's dish, it was cold and overly greasy. I was equally disappointed. As someone who loves classic diners and their unique character, I really wanted to enjoy Foxy's. The atmosphere is charming, but the food simply hasn't lived up to expectations during any of our visits. After giving it multiple chances, we've come to the conclusion that we won't be returning.
Tonight was the worst experience at Foxy's. I ordered a Cobb salad for take out. There was no turkey on the salad and I found a hair in the salad dressing. I dug around in the salad dressing to look for more hair and found a square plastic bread tie. I called Foxy's and was told "well this Kind of stuff happens sometimes." The best I was offered was a new salad. No thanks!
This diner is located near the Glendale Galleria and Americana at Brand Parking was okay since they have their own parking lot and it's free Inside was dim but spacious with booths and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating Menu had a good variety of dishes and pricing was reasonable since most items were under $20 Service was decent and nothing too special Got the Egg Benedict ($17.50) and it was mediocre. The Canadian bacon was very salty and the egg was slightly too overcooked so not as poached as I wanted. The hash browns were crispy and plentiful. The Quesadilla ($11) was pretty good! It was stuffed with plenty of cheese, tomatoes, and mushrooms. I was impressed with the portion size! It was very flavorful and delicious! The guacamole seemed fresh and tasty! Overall, I thought the food was okay so not sure if I will return or recommend
This is where you meet. It reminds me of a nicer, older Perkins. It's decently comfortable (although the booths are a bit tight and have seen better days). Everyone is friendly enough. And the menu is large and just about everything will be pretty good. Or good enough. This being southern California, there are plenty of Mexican inspired dishes for breakfast. And of course the more traditional dishes as well. My breakfast was a little cold but stilil tasty nonetheless. My friends enjoyed their plates and a good, relaxing and not expensive breakfast was had by all. It's not hard to see why this place has been around for so long. It's a classic. With all that entails.

After a long, exhausting four-hour dialysis session, my friend Maria picked me up because I had a doctor's appointment immediately afterward. I was starving and had been craving a tostada salad for years, so we stopped at Foxy's, a place I'd been going to off and on since the 80s. Both Maria and I ordered the chicken tostada salad, and what arrived was incredibly disappointing.!!! The chicken was bland, tasted like frozen chicken with fake grill marks, and there was barely any of it. The salad itself was mostly lettuce and baby spinach. Seriously, who the hell puts baby spinach in a tostada salad? We were so dissatisfied with those salads that we told the waitress to take them back because we didn't want them. The waitress, who was also the cashier, suggested that we order something else instead. Maria ordered a cheeseburger that came with fries. Since she used to come to Foxy's about 20 years ago when her kids were in junior high, and because she knows I like carne asada burritos, she suggested I order the carne asada burrito because she remembered them being huge back then. Well, not anymore. The burrito was much smaller than what she remembered, and after I took literally one tiny bite just to taste it, I immediately noticed bell peppers in it. Wtf? What kind of idiot puts bell peppers in a carne asada burrito? I asked Maria if they used to put bell peppers in them years ago, and she immediately said no. Maria tasted it herself and was disgusted by it too. When I say I barely touched it, I mean it. I literally took one small taste, Maria barely had a bite herself, and there was still approximately seven-eighths of that burrito left sitting on the plate. To top it all off, the burrito also came with stale-ass tortilla chips! Since I couldn't stomach the salad or the burrito, I ended up eating only half of Maria's dry, tasteless, cardboard-like cheeseburger and exactly four fries because by that point I was disgusted with the entire meal. The final bill came to $41.90. I'm on a fixed income. Paying $41.90 for half of a dry cheeseburger, four fries, and food we barely touched because it was so bad is frustrating enough. Being asked whether I wanted to take home a box for a burrito that still had seven-eighths left felt downright insulting. No thank you. I don't take home food that I thought was crap! When I was paying, I told the waitress/cashier, "I wish I could speak to your manager." She told me he was right there, but I explained that I was already going to be late for my doctor's appointment and didn't want to have to reschedule until next week. I spend three days a week at dialysis and use my other days for specialist appointments and medical visits, so my schedule is already difficult enough to manage. I told her I would call the manager when I got home. When I finally spoke with the manager later, he asked me, "Why didn't you tell them you didn't like it? They would have taken it off the bill." That response left me confused because the waitress already knew exactly how dissatisfied we were from the moment the salads went back untouched. She knew we rejected them. She knew we ordered replacement meals because of them. She knew I barely touched the burrito. She knew Maria disliked it too. She knew there was almost an entire burrito left sitting on the plate. If taking it off the bill was an option, why wasn't that offered at the time? Why wasn't there an offer for a discount, partial credit, or some kind of accommodation? At the very least, after watching customers send back meals and barely touch the replacements, comping a dessert to go would have been a nice gesture. This experience was disappointing from beginning to end, especially because I remembered Foxy's so fondly from years ago. Ewww!! Never again!!!!
Nice free parking. Sat quickly but room was very cold (bring a sweater). Ordered chicken lettuce avicadi wrap. It arrived and i liked that the wrap was warm from the chicken. Usually wraps are cold. It was a nice portion and very tasty. I added tobasco sauce. The side if fruit was equally delicious and good quantity if strawberry, honeydew, cantaloupe and pineapple. Also an orange slice. I had a Dr Pepoer soda. I would highly recommend this wrap and can't wait to go back or order one to go!
I've only been once but can tell this place is a classic and probably frequented over and over by many of the locals. Anyway, we were in Glendale and. Wanted breakfast for lunch and found Foxy's. Something weird was going on in the parking lot with lots of spaces blocked, but happened to find a spot back in the corner. Free parking in Glendale is always great! Waited a bit for a table but once seated, service was very quick and friendly. Ordered the steak and eggs as well as the croissant French toast which was a first for us. Med rare Steak, over easy eggs and well done hash browns were all the right temp which is rare. French toast was good, but the syrup was in the small take out containers which threw us off. Same brand name, so not a big deal but I guess we were expecting the ubiquitous syrup pourer :) I also give the waitress credit for her honesty. I love home made corned beef and hash when available, but when I asked she was honest and said it was from a can. Most places do the same, so bit knocking them at all, but not something I'll order when I have the same can at home :).

Look and feel of the restaurant was so cozy! If you're looking for a peaceful atmosphere, this is the place to be especially with patio seating. Food was phenomenal, came out hot and looked as tasty as the pictures on the menu. 11/10 would recommend everyone trying this place when in the area. A Glendale classic since 1964! And the vibe will definitely transport you to the 60's! It looks like a mountain retreat, complete with fireplace, dark wood, high ceilings and dim lighting! All it's missing is the avocado-colored SHAG carpeting of my childhood home! The breakfast is outstanding, and quite frankly my dear, I've never been here for lunch or dinner. Despite it being on the app, they won't honor the Yelp 10% discount anymore (as of 11/17/23). (They did honor it for me when I asked though!) I love the famous (infamous) Cinnamon Roll French Toast and the Barbacoa breakfast. You can't go wrong with any of the eggs Benedict's - there an entire page of the menu devoted to them. Suleima was the sweetest waitperson! She's all smiles and patience and very helpful. Warning: Weekends are insanity here and parking is challenging. read more

This was our first time eating here. We were in town visiting our son and he recommended Foxy's because a local he had met when he moved to the area told him it was his favorite spot. Okay, the food was hot, flavorful, and did not disappoint. The croissant French toast was flaky as you would expect and had just the right amount of egg to bread ratio. It was absolutely delicious. Next, the traditional French toast was also just as delicious but of course the croissant was the favorite. The shrimp Chilaquiles came with a different variety of tortillas. There was green, red, and regular corn tortillas. It was amazing! The staff were excellent and the ambience pleasant. In fact, I had two pleasant conversations with other customers in the restaurant. One was a regular who recommended the hot chocolate and chilaquiles. The other was just a very friendly senior citizen who stopped to exchange pleasantries on her way out. We will definitely come back when we are in town. read more

The service is good, but the food was not good at all. The chilaquiles have no flavor, no salt, the beans were terrible. The only good thing was the coffee. The place is beautiful, but too expensive for no flavor, melted cheese instead of queso fresco and no sour cream. read more
This place is packed on weekends and we stopped by on a Tuesday morning for breakfast. No waiting and attentive service. Endless coffee, quiet patio seating. Oh and good food too. Enjoyed the cinnamon roll French toast, it was pretty good but I've had better ones. We also enjoyed the egg burrito, nicely smothered. Big breakfast-couldn't finish it off. Parking lot was east access, there is a second lot directly behind on the next street if it's full and there is a gate for pedestrians between to two lots. Nice cozy atmosphere. read more

A friend of mine had come here often, and finally scheduled a ladies brunch with some friends. I had never been here so I was excited to try something new. I got the veggie omelette with hash browns and we shared a short stack of pancakes. My omelette was good! The flavors of the veggies and the perfect amount of cheese worked really well together. The hash browns were perfectly cooked and crunchy. Really good !! The pancake was really good too! The staff was AMAZING!! Catered to all our needs and we're super nice. There is a parking lot but it gets pretty full, but I believe there was a lot in the back as well. Will def come back! read more

Could've been better... As a first-time visitor, I was not very impressed, to be honest. Only 1 server serving the tables outside? (I don't know about the inside) Honestly, I felt bad seeing her going back and forth between tables. Unfortunately, it was not a very clean place as well, which is something very important for me, I'm sure for other people too Coming to the food, I noticed some dishes ingredients were not clearly described. When I got my order, I noticed there were ingredients that were not mentioned in the menu, and I really could not eat them , which was the reason I could not eat and finish my plate. The server was a great person. She really worked hard taking care of all the tables. As I mentioned earlier, this visit could've been better... but unfortunately, I don't think I will be visiting this place again. read more

The service was great. Family friendly and all servers where great! We where seated right away. They have TV's inside and toasters at every booth. It's a bit dark inside. I had the Chorizo Chilaquiles but it was a bit too salty for me. The pancakes and bacon were perfect though. read more

We've been coming here for years and I'm glad that Foxy's is still around, since it's one of the few remaining mid-century restaurants. I would have loved to seen it back then, but it's still hanging in there. I've always enjoyed the food and I love the architectural style and decor inside. The toasters at the table are great. I think there have been some service issues in the past, but our last visit, the service was fine. We sat outside this time, decided to take anything to cut the waiting, as there is always a line. They are still doing the QR code menu, which I think is silly at this point, I would have preferred a physical menu. Our waitress was fine, polite, if not in a tiny bit of a hurry, but it was understandable as she was covering a lot of tables and was repeatedly being called back to the table next to us to be ogled at by the two old Hispanic men there. I hope Foxy's addresses the public health codes issue and stays around for many years to come, because I would be sad to see it close. It's a nostalgic treasure in Glendale. read more

Very delicious food at reasonable prices. Service was excellent, our waiter kept checking on us and offering drink refills. We dined outside, but the interior showed signs of aging. I ordered Huevos a la Mexicana, and it was so good!! I finished it all. I believe my friend ordered sausage links. They have their own parking lot which is very nice. A very tasty and southwest themed diner in Glendale complete with a toaster on your table. This weekend was my first visit to Foxy's even though I have known about it for quite some time. It's a well-known diner in the heart of Glendale that servesbreakfast through dinner. They have a very large menu filled with all sorts of diner classics, but you will especially find a lot of southwestern style dishes. Inside is very unique, not only with the toaster on the table, but also the entire restaurant being an A Frame building that is dimly lit inside with many chandeliers hanging instead for your lighting. They have many tables inside and out and we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated for a Saturday morning brunch. Our server was very polite and all of our food items came out very quickly. There is a large free parking lot attached to the side of the restaurant so parking was extremely easy. Being our first time we wanted to try some of the more popular breakfast dishes on the menu. We chose the Corned Beef Hash Benedict and the 2 x 2 x 2. I learned that I am not a very big fan of corn beef hash, but everything was cooked perfectly and I can't fault the restaurant for it just more of a flavor preference. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise was made just right. The 2 x 2 x 2 was also very good. The bacon was as crispy as I like it and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Overall, pricing is very fair and the portion sizes are generous. I would recommend to anyone searching for a great casual spot not only for breakfast but for lunch and dinner as well. read more

Went for the first time on the way back from a tv show taping in Pasadena . This old school vibe is just what we were looking for. Next time in Glendale we will be back. The food was delious. The server Jaime brought me a beautiful dessert for my birthday. read more

This is a quick review because I was in the area, stopped by here on a whim and ordered takeout. First off, they have their own parking lot (which is great). I was able to find a spot right away, even, though the lot was nearly full. Walked in, received a warm and friendly welcome and was given a menu. I ordered the Cobb Salad. Turn-around was quick. Also, the place is sooooo cute. Ample inside seating as well as a nice sized outdoor dining area. Got home an ate my salad. It was okay, but nothing special at all. I will dine in soon and update my review. read more

This place is our favorite! We are rarely in the area as we live 4 hours away, but when we are we come here. The staff is always so nice, The food is fantastic, I love the variety of eggs Benedict! i got the salmon Benedict & didn't get any pictures because I ate it so fast lol We usually love to eat outside as they have a lovely patio. Est. 1964- The large menu with color photos has some interesting dishes. The wooden A frame interior has a log cabin-like feel, and it's been a staple of Glendale for almost 60 years. The two fireplaces don't work anymore, but each table has its own toaster, which is convenient, even if most of the bread is too big to fit in properly . Regardless, the food is good and the Bloody Marys with tahini pepper on the rim, are very tasty. The Corn Beef Hash Benedict is excellent and the hollandaise sauce was not too tart or rich, it was just right. The Power Breakfast Scramble is massive, and loaded with Chicken, Spinach, Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Black Beans and Brown Rice. The house made Salsas are very good and compliment the Scramble. The service was friendly and efficient and we were never left alone wondering where our server went. Foxy's may be getting older, but she's still got it. We will be back! read more

Excellent service. They kept refilling our coffee and water, booths have a toaster at each table for fresh toast. It's somewhat of a cottage feel/look. Our table order included French toast special, country breakfast, and the Gringo entrees. I had the shrimp chilaquiles with poached eggs on the side. Everything was fresh, hot, and had a great flavor. The order came out right away. They have plenty of breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. They offer a paper version of the menu, but also have a QR code at the table that does include the prices. I've included the link below and images of the menu. Do you allow pets?
Pets are allowed but only if leashed and for outside patio seating only unless they are a service animal. We go there often and have seen people bring their dogs and sit outside all the time.
How is the parking? Is there a private parking lot or do customers need to pay for parking?

Are dogs allowed?
dogs aren't allowed inside the restaurant but I've taken my 5lb. chihuahua and sat outside on the patio. the space is limited on the patio so I don't think it would be a good idea to take a large dog though
