Hands down the best nail place in Southwest Reno. I have had gel nails over 25 years and can honestly say Vincent does the best job. He and Joann take pride in their work and that of their employee's. Relaxing music, calming atmosphere, and the best pedicure massage ever! Vincent takes most of the phone calls and books the appointments. He takes great care to get every question answered as far as pricing, and there has always been a huge menu in the waiting area, of their very reasonable and competitive prices. I have been a very happy client for over 18 months. I can highly recommend Foxy Nails, for not only your nails but also any skin care or waxing needs. I am currently a licensed aesthetician, and I have never seen anything but great care by great people! read more

Tina and team are always accommodating and do an awesome job! I went to another place for awhile and am so happy to be back!

I've given them a few chances and still can say Laura is the worst nail person I've ever experienced. She cut me, no apology, burned me, no apology. She's rude and horrible! Do not recommend this place at all! read more

Steve and the owner are amazing! The work they do is flawless. This place is truly a gem. I've only been here twice but the work they do is so great and all the employees are so personable and friendly. So glad they're right down the street from me! read more

Coming from a big city, I was having the hardest time finding a new nail place! My co worker recommended foxys and this is my only go to place for gels! Fair priced and they always do a great job! The only thing preventing it from 5 stars is sometimes you have to wait a little while even if you have an appointment. But honesty that's almost all nail places. I definitely recommend Foxy! read more

Foxy Nails - Love my nails!! - Nail Salons Near Me - Reno, Nevada

I went to Foxy Nails based on a recommendation from a friend. Both my sister and I got our nails done and we were both pleased with the results. We were walk-ins and we were helped right away. 45 minutes later I have a mani worthy of my wedding! We will be returning very soon! read more

A great experience! We went to Foxy Nails this week on the recommendation of a friends and were impressed with them from the moment we stepped inside. The greeting was friendly, we arrived with a large group and no reservations, the staff was kind and efficient, took care of their customers and got to us as quickly as possible. The quality of the work is great, they were attentive and careful, clean and hygienic. Each of our manicures and pedicures was customized to our request, with beautiful and unique designs for each. The salon is pretty, quiet and well-maintained with comfortable chairs and a soothing decor. Each of the staff was friendly and professional, Joanna especially made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The prices were also better than expected, very competitive with other salons. I usually get my nails done in the Portland Oregon area, and am frequently disappointed by experiences at other salons. This was great and I will be a Foxy Nails customer whenever I am in the Reno area. read more

Save your self! Do not go here! My sister, father and I made an appointment for pedicures and opted to go for the 25.00 pedicures, they brought out a basket of tools and proceeded to share them between me and my sister, the nail file was obviously used and David and John handed it back and forth between them to use on us, they also used the same clippers on us without sanitizing anything. Nothing was wrapped in the autoclave envelopes when they brought out the tools. They didn't even do a complete job, they are supposed to use salt scrub and other items and didn't do that on any of us. Then to top it all off the girl who came up to me for payment says "it be 105.00" I reply to her that no in fact 3 x 25.00 is 75.00, she says 1.00 for debit card use. I said fine, so 76.00 to get us out of there. We are talking about 10 different code violations during our 40 min visit to this place. Horrible service, scamming employees and general uncleanliness. Don't do it! read more

I have been coming here for about a year now, I get my nails done by Joanne and she does an amazing job! Always does what I ask, very kind, gentle on the nails, and we always have great conversations! Only nail lady I will continually go to!! Head on down and make an appointment with Joanne, you won't be disappointed! read more

Not happy at all! The staff was rude especially the girl I had. For a gel fill she charged me 48.00 and it was nothing special. My step mom and dads pedicures were not that great either and they charged me for the deluxe pedicures which neither of them got there nails painted. So 145.00 later I told the lady I would tip everyone 5.00 except the girl who did the manicure and pedicure for my step mom, I want to tip her 10.00. She played she didn't understand me and wanted me to tip everyone 7.00. Meaning she wanted one more dollar from me. WTF!?!? I will never go back there again. Also the side of my gel nails are lifting...ands it's only been a few days...Horrible products too. read more

LIFE LONG DAMAGE...TERRIBLE AND DISAPPOINTING! I went here to get gels put onto my toes and they looked fine but I moved to another city by the time I wanted them to come off so when I went to this new salon, the technician could NOT get the gel off. The tech explained to me that some salons buy extremely cheap products but charge twice as much. Gel is supposed to come off when the tech puts a solution on the nail and allows it to sit for about 10 minutes. After this process, the gel should be able to peel right off. Instead, after 50 minutes of soaking, the tech finally got some of the gel off...along with layers of my nail. I am not allowed to paint my toes for 3 months and will always have parts of gel on my nails. DO NOT GO HERE. This is one of those places that you would see on Dateline because of how terrible it is. read more

I do not recommend this salon. The experience was adequate at best; nothing special. First, I sat down and put my feet in cold water. That was NOT a good start. The technician spent most of the time during my pedicure speaking, in another language, to one of the other employees sitting and waiting for an appointment, I'm guessing. I do not like this. I am paying for a service; the least that can be done is to pay attention to ME. The technician seemed to be in a terrible hurry to get done with me. She did not work on my callouses at all; she skimmed over them with a pumice, very briefly. I do a better job myself at home. The massage was not long and leisurely, as I had read on this page. It was adequate. When the pedicure was done, I was hustled over to her nail station for my "manicure", which could not have taken more than ten minutes. I had to pay an extra $5.00 for a hand/arm massage, which I think is wrong, as it should be part of the manicure. She was, once again, in a terrible hurry, and did a shoddy job, looking past me to the door almost the entire time. My polish started peeling within a couple of days; the pedicure has held up. I will give her credit for that. All in all, it just wasn't a great experience. I like to be pampered when I'm putting the money out for it, and I just didn't get that warm and fuzzy feeling here. The only reason I will give it two stars is because the pedicure is still hanging in pretty well as far as the polish. I will not, however, return to that salon ever again. read more

I can't say enough GREAT things about this salon - the people, the quality, the service, the personal care! I came through town in dire need of a manicure/pedicure - so much so that I walked 1.5 miles from my hotel to find the only open location nearby. Not only did they stay late AND do a fantastic job, they also insisted on giving me a ride all the way back to my hotel, even though it made them late to their dinner own party. Highly recommended - if I lived in Reno, this would be my go-to salon! Thanks so much - and I'll be back next time! - AJ from Portland, OR read more

I was new to Reno and my sister-in-law recommended Foxy Nails, so I tried it. I was lucky enough to get Tommy the first time I went. He worked efficiently, was professional and did exceptional work. I continued to have him do my mani/pedis for a few months...until he went on vacation...at which time I tried someone new which unfortunately, spoiled my experience altogether. The salon is fairly priced and the Owners, Vincent and his lovely wife, who also do nails (and stay booked regularly) are very nice people. But all it takes is one bad apple to spoil the bunch. Normally I might be able to overlook ONE mistake. But I went in the following day (the tech didn't have time to do both my mani and pedi) to do my second treatment (my nails) and I left feeling quite irritated. Not everyone's nails are the same and shouldn't be treated as such. ('And that's all I'm going to say about that.') 3-star rating to balance out my great experience with Tommy and fair pricing with my icky experiences with the substitute. read more

While visiting from New York City I had a friend recommend Foxy Nails. At first they were not going to take me for a pedicure because it was 20 minutes till closing. However, after much chit chat amongst employees, they did take me, and I had a great pedicure. A few days later I went and had my brows and lashes tinted. It was an overall positive experience, and its nice that the salon is located south of town and away from the riff raff. I felt their prices were more than fair, and a bargain compared to NYC prices. I can't wait to visit town again and go to Foxy Nails. read more

I came to Foxy nails in a state of emergency...I had just left a another nail salon ( see my review on La Belle Nails) , and my nails looked absolutely horrible...Don saved the day ..not only did he reshape my nails correctly but he took his time to try to fix the crooked nails the other salon had applied. After some chit chat...I found out that he did nails at very popular salon in Chicago which is my home town...which made me even more comfortable...I walked in a train wreck, and left a satisfied customer. read more

I have been going to Foxy Nails for several years, because I was quite satisfied. Lately, it has changed. My favorite people have left and a recent experience may have me going elsewhere. There is a great deal of pressure from one new pushy fellow to have deluxe pedicure and gel manicure. When I sent my grand daughter as a treat for a specific appointment with this fellow, he refused to do her manicure because she did not want gel, he passed her off on somebody else. This very pushy fellow wont be doing my nails any more. Both my daughter and I found the pedi top coat to be sticky hours after they were done which means he probably really thins down the polish. I hope this fellow adopts a better attitude soon. I tried one other new fellow but he was just inept, did not take care of callouses well and massage was very weak. Quality of service really needs to improve. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. I went in for an acrylic fill which was supposed to be 18$... She gave me a gel fill. I told her I wanted acrylic and she started to argue that gel was better.. I asked for more pointy of a shape and she made them more round. At the end of it she charged me 35$ and I asked why and she said it was because of the gel... read more

Wow, I have been a getting pedicures here for awhile and just had the worst pedicure I have had..ever. When I first sat down I put my feet in a full tub of ice cold water. I had to wait while they drained it enough to add hot water but it never got hotter than luke warm. The gal, I don't know her name, cut me when she was clipping my toe nails. She kept getting up and walking around during my pedicure, no other technician was doing this. The "Spa Pedicure" I received took less than 35 minutes - she couldn't have spent more than half that time on my service. I was really disappointed - what I thought would be a relaxing splurge became a painful, stressful experience. I am not sure I will go back. read more

I was so excited for my Gel Fill Manicure today. I had heard great reviews so I had called for an appointment, saying that I worked in the area, and could they do a lunch time appt. I made an appointment for noon today, and arrived 5 minutes early. There was one male tech near the front and two near the back doing pedicures and two ladies apparently waiting. I was not greeted or acknowledged in any way at all. I waited until 12:15, but had to leave. I got up and left unfortunately. read more

Set appointments for 3 of us for May 22 but had to cancel due to flight issues. Called the next day to reschedule for the 23rd. The salon was very accommodating. I had a cousin with me who is handicapped and Joanne treated her with nothing but respect and was very calming and gentle with her. My hat's off to Steve and Tommy as well for our fantastic pedicures! Also loved the fact that the salon served beer and wine! Was a very nice afternoon and made for a very memorable experience! Thank you Foxy Nails! Upon my return to Reno we will come see you again! Staff is exceptional! read more

This was my first time at Foxy Nails and honestly, I wasn't pleased. Once I arrived, I was greeted by a woman and was sent to a man who looked very restricted. I greeted him with a smile and he said nothing to me in return. After the first five minutes of silence, I attempted to break the ice and ask him how long he has been in the business and he told me it was his first day. This made me a bit uneasy, but I congratulated him anyways and to my disappointment, the rest of my appointment was silent. I spent the entire time watching tv while he yanked at my fingers and pushed them away. If I didn't understand what he was trying to tell me (he never spoke to me clearly, all he did was mumble), he would let out an aggravated sigh and act extremely annoyed with me. I did text my mother in the beginning of my appointment to let her know I had arrived safely and I would text her when I was able to, and he glared at me the entire time. I realize that could have been taken care of earlier, but it was still very uncomfortable for me to have him give me a hate stare. When I had called earlier in the week I was told that my nails would cost approximately $28, so, I asked my parents for $40 because I like to give a $10 tip. By the end of my appointment, he added up my total charge and he told me that I owed him $43. I immediately told him that I only had $40, and that I was told what the cost for my nails would be. He didn't seem very upset, he realized he had made a mistake but that didn't mean I was any less thrilled to have the price go up that high. I gave him the money, told him I didn't have the $3 and I left. My nails do look fine, but I feel like I was cheated out of a pleasant experience. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to Foxy Nails. read more

Ask for Vincent for your nails he is the best! Awesome hand massage :)

I was a regular here for years when Don (the owners brother) worked here. He has been gone 4 or 5 years now and I have since moved so I don't come here very often anymore, just to get a pedicure every once in awhile. I came here on my birthday to get a quick pedicure. The girl who did it was very sweet and talked me into a deluxe pedicure which was only $10 more ($35 instead of the regular $25) when she went to paint my toenails she asked if I wanted gel polish, she said it was so much better and said it would last much longer so I agreed since I don't get pedicures very often, she didn't mention an extra cost. When I went to pay it ended up being $50. Which I paid and left her a decent tip even though I was a little upset she did not mention it would be an extra $15 for the gel polish. That's how they get you. So I get home and check my feet to find that my heels and the bottoms of my toes look and feel exactly the same as they did before I paid $50 for this "deluxe" pedicure. Still rough and cracked and dead skin still left from whatever she did to them. So I called and told them and they said to come back and they would fix it. I went back the next day only to sit there for 20 minutes to wait for the girl who did my pedicure the day before and of course she was sweet and apologized and went to work removing all the dead skin and scrubbing the bottoms of my feet. Just curious why she didn't do that the first time and I had to take time out of my day to go back not to mention gas to drive back out there. If I'm going to pay $50 for a pedicure my feet better be soft like a babies butt! read more

I should have known the minute I walked toward their doorway. The ground was littered with cigarette butts, actual piles of butts. I had an appointment, which made no difference. All the pedicure chairs were full, so waited 20 minutes for a spot. The pedicure was the fastest that I've ever experienced. I noticed the metal clippers were simply kept in a plastic box, not sanitized AT ALL! The lotion used for the foot massage came out of a plastic bottle that looked worn out. Whatever homemade concotion was in the lotion, I noticed afterwards it left a greasy stain on my khaki pants. The place was dirty, you'd think twice about walking barefoot on the tile floor.Soiled, wet towels piled up in a corner, floor littered with toenail clippings(eeeww) Not a great experience, I'd rather pay more $$$ at a salon that closely follows sterilization procedures for utensils. Stay away if you don't want to get a nasty fungus infection!!! read more
