Seriously, I will never return. Up until this past appointment I was happy. But when I tell you my nail that you just worked on looks crooked, fix it!! I've never had a crooked looking nail, I'm a perfectionist and would have noticed before! I went in today for the first time and I have to say I was quite pleased. This is the third nail salon I have tried in the area. You know what they say, third times a charm. I was happily greeted upon walking in. There was a brief wait, but only about enough time for me to pick out a color. I came in for a gel manicure. They have a good variety to choose from including shellac and opi brand gels. A young lady named "Hannah" did my nails. The technique she used to remove old gel polish was quick and efficient. She was gentle and thorough with my manicure. She shaped my natural nails very well and applied the gel polish perfectly. I asked her to add a second coat of the top coat polish for added strength. She happy obliged and didn't even talk bad about me in Vietnamese to the other workers...kidding. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of price. All the salons in this area charge $25, so I understand the standard. I recently moved here from Phoenix, I guess the gel manicure is more popular out that way. Most places charge around $18. All in all I had a very good experience here and will be returning. read more

Tina was fast and efficient. She took her time and handled me with care. All was well until it was time for my feet to dry. The salon was very busy and she rushed me out from under the dryer, sprayed my feet and wrapped them in plastic. I live less than a mile away. Upon returning home, I immediately removed the plastic from my feet. The polish came completely off of both my big toes. I was furious. I didn't return for her to fix them. I had a similar color at home and fixed them myself. That was my first and only visit to this salon. read more

I was recently waxed by Jessica and my skin is now irritated. It's been three days since my service and I have inflammation from improper wax maintenance... the kind of irritation you get when someone double dips into the wax But, older salons always reek of health code violations.... It's not surprising. My true reason for posting this review was me being up-charged $7. I thought the pricing on the final tab was high, but I didn't feel like confronting anyone about because it was my day off. I had errands to run. After calling the salon and asking for a price quote on Monday, I was told by the owner that the total for lip and chin would be $13. I was even asked if I wanted my eyebrows done also!!! So, when I let the owner know that I was up charged on Saturday, she pretended to misquote me and say chin was $13!!!! Up-charging for a service modifications or additional work is one thing, but lying about pricing when YOU'VE BEEN CAUGHT QUOTING A DIFFERENT PRICE is another. Local convenience will never compensate for mediocre service and improper nail filing technique. I feel foolish for ever supporting such shady business and I wouldn't be surprised if she'd been up charging me this entire time. read more

Great nail and beauty salon. I've been a customer for over 18 years. I won't let anyone else wax my eyebrows. Loan is the owner. Loan and staff are wonderful. It is a family owned establishment. I'm not one to get falsies, but their nail art is top notch. Usually, I use their pedicure and wax services. On special occasions I'll get a manicure. However like most nail salons it does get busy on the weekends, but worth the wait. read more

I have been going to Foxon Nails for over a year now and I am very happy with my results. I had been going to the same girl since the beginning, but she has recently left and I now see another girl which I like just as much, if not better. They get their clients in and out quickly and do a great job. They get to know you, they learn your name so you don't feel like just another person getting their nails done. I have gotten a pedicure once, but I was not thrilled with the results and I'm not sure if that was my fault or theirs. The polish chipped off the next day. I should gone back but it was more of an inconvenience than anything else. I have also had my eyebrows waxed once, but that also takes longer than I feel it should so I stick to doing those myself. I do enjoy this salon and prices are reasonable, $5 off if you pay in cash. read more

ever since i started doing my nails i've been going to Foxon. i moved from EH a couple years ago and have tried to find different places alittle closer to me but have always been drawn back to Foxon Nails. i'll go everytime now to get my nails done. they STILL and ALWAYS do a great job. i've recommended them to all of my coworkers, and i will recommend them to you too! i love the people who work here and they are always so welcoming. they have so many colors to choose from and they also have dip powder. I went in today for a gel manicure and couldn't be more disappointed with my results. The gel polish was sloppily applied to where my nails look watery and a lot of the polish is still trapped under my nails. The first time I was told my nails were done, you could see my natural nail right through the polish. I had her apply another coat. She told me it's because the polish I chose from their salon is tight and doesn't sit on the nail right. I'm curious as to why I was not informed of this problem to begin with and why they still offer this polish if they're well aware it causes an issue. I had returned later today and expressed that I was very unhappy with my nails and would like them redone. I chose another color this time and although they don't look as bad as the first time around, the new color I chose also apparently doesn't stay on nails very well as I was told again after she finished. Do they have any colors that don't need to be thrown away? I wasted my only day off at this salon and no complimentary discount or anything was offered. Never again. read more

This is my second time going here, first time I got a gel polish. Second time I wanted regular polish, and not spend the extra $10. Little did I know they charge you $5 to remove the gel polish that originally applied to my nails. They were trying to make deals with me to get the gel polish after I already said no 3 times. Also took the girl over an hour to do a fill, and at the end of the time there the polish is uneven and smudged. My friend who was with me was told the other women would be with her soon, over an hour later and she ended up taking someone else! Very unhappy with the money I spent. Prior to going to Foxon Nails, I had an appointment for my bridesmaids and I to get our nails done the day before my wedding. Things went wrong at this other salon but Foxon Nails took all 6 of us an hour before they closed. The women stayed an hour and a half late to finish our nails for the wedding and were so lovely about it. We all had mani/pedis and everybody's nails came out wonderful. Thank you! read more

My rating is -1: I called foxon nails & asked if they had S&S dipping powder & the manager told me yes, and made an app. for 6:30; however, when I arrived I was told they had a similar powder Nu Genesis & it was better than S&S. I waited until 7:08 & was finally brought to a station to get the S&S removed. The girl that started the process used a drill & kept nicking my cuticles, then wrapped my nails in acetone & foil. Five minutes later they attempt to remove the product by filing my nails in a quick & rough manner & when I asked if she could be gentle the tech started talking nasty in her native tongue - I told her to stop what she was doing & I left. My nails are brittle & ruined. These nail salons should: 1. Have licensed technicians; 2. A courteous receptionist or representative that speaks English; and 3. Learn how to manage their time -- I could have been soaking the S&S off my nails from 6:30-7:08 instead of sitting in a chair wasting time - any experienced nail tech knows it takes more than 5 minutes to remove powder from the nail. I will NEVER patronize Foxon Nails on Rt 80 again! read more
