Absolutely adore this place. Wonderful, warm and inclusive atmosphere with warm hospitality from the moment you walk in. The food and drinks are all well made, the 405 and West Coast are my favorite sandwiches, you can really tell they put a lot of love and effort into what they do. The drinks are made with equal care and love. I also think it's so wonderful to see a business actively trying to give back to the community and is not afraid to stand up for what they believe. This is such a sweet, tasty stop in Pilsen! We had the Pink Line and 606 bagels - both tasted delicious and were full of flavor. The 606 was unlike any combo of flavors I'd had before on a bagel: sweet, salty, slightly bitter from the arugula. For bagel connoisseurs, the bagels themselves were nothing particularly special. The space itself is spacious and has nice seating options. There's also colorful drawn pictures on the wall that makes the space feel bright and happy. I will say, it does get a little smoky inside, so they do need to work on their ventilation system. The staff was friendly and helpful! No complaints. Their food menu looked amazing, wish I were there closer to lunch time. This coffee shop is in the middle of a neighborhood, so it's easy to miss. They have a good number of seating options. The drinks are great, the baristas are friendly, and the food absolutely slaps. The ACE is hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've had in my life. The place is small and simple. Located right on the corner and it can be easily missed. The mint chocolate latter was perfectly sweetened and chocolatey. The pumpkin pie latte was was good but could have used a little more pumpkin flavor. The breakfast sandwiches were soft and yummy. Definitely recommend the place. I'm a little torn writing this review because our experience wasn't awful, but it wasn't amazing either. My partner and I went to Foxglove today to try out a local small coffee shop instead of our usual pick of Cafe Jumping bean. We ordered 2 bagel sandwiches and 2 drinks, one of which was an iced decaf 12 oz cookie butter latte with oat milk. They only have a 20 oz size for iced drinks but they were kind enough to let me pay for a 12oz in a different cup instead. We paid and waited for our drinks. When they arrived, I tried mine and noticed that it didn't taste like it had any cookie butter flavoring to it. I told my partner and they very kindly went up after the baristas weren't busy to confirm it was in fact a cookie butter latte. The person who rang us up was more apologetic than the person who incorrectly made my drink (which was rang up correctly). Obviously mistakes happen, but their demeanor and lack of apology was something I noticed. They did remake my drink but it seemed like it was done by mixing in the cookie butter to the cold drink which resulted in a slightly off texture. The person who rang us up was very welcoming and friendly, but the other two employees were a little dismissive and seemed annoyed by having to talk to customers. One customer left the front door open and one of the employees walked over and rudely shut it behind them. The bagel sandwiches and drinks were good, but i don't know if I would come here again because of the service I received--and I'm not talking about making the drink wrong because that happens sometimes! I'm talking about the lack of care otherwise. I'm hoping that by leaving this review my concerns will be brought up so they can improve their service for other customers in the future. read more

I got an Iced Sweet Matcha. The color wasn't that vibrant and it was pretty bitter (probably why they recommend it sweetened) which hints that they use culinary grade matcha instead of ceremonial. That's disappointing when I paid $7 with tax+ tip, the same price as a cafe that would use better quality matcha. Didn't try the coffee or food so can't speak on that. The place was also pretty dirty. There were flies and crumbs everywhere, dirt in the corners, and the garbage in the bathroom was overflowing. Three stars for the employees' good service. read more

This is my favorite independent coffee shop in Chicago. I come here once a week to get coffee and a special treat for my sleepy gf. The staff are always so sweet and you can always tell who's a regular if they close the door behind them or not. This is a small cafe near the Pink line station. Overall it feels quite ghetto but they still have some features that I like. It's close to a supermarket called "Super Mercados El Güero Cermak". There was only one other guest when I was there so it was quiet and the service was pretty fast. The background music was a bit loud, but they have big clean tables that look good for work or reading. The Pink Line bagel sandwich (with bacon, cheese and egg) was good. It was made from scratch and it was sizzling hot when served. The iced mint chocolate chip signature latte had no chocolate chips and it tasted a little watery. It's not worth $6. I ordered the smallest option but they gave me the biggest (20 oz). read more

I love this place! My husband and I get bagels + coffee from here all the time and they have never disappointed. The staff is great. The food service is speedy. The bagel sandwich selections are delicious. You can't go wrong with any of the choices. My favorite drinks are the thai milk tea, iced chai latte, and the lavender lemonade. Everyone I've taken loves it too. Their bagel breakfast sandwiches are also really good. They put cream cheese on the sandwiches which isn't my thing, so I get them without it. My only complaint is that every time I go in, I smell like a burnt bagel when I leave. Even my hair! And when I went in the winter and ate inside, my coat smelled like a burnt bagel for 2 days so I had to send it to the dry cleaners. Maybe keep the door open. I am not sure the solution haha. I am not from this area and this place popped up as close by on a search. Lucky for us the GPS took us right to it, because the sign would be easy to miss. It ended up being a good find for some weary souls in need of an afternoon pick-me-up. The co-worker I was with is also a self-proclaimed connoisseur of coffee. He had the latte and was impressed by the great taste. I always try the drip at a new place. It definitely pleases the palate. It had great flavor and is exactly why Americans should break free from the coffee chains that litter our streets. Like I'll go across the city for good quality shiz. So I was pretty psyched when I found this place and really loved their tea. Definitely in the top bests for me. Also tried their bagel sandwich, similar to the 405. Only difference was that it came with a sesame oil drizzle instead of the garlic cream cheese. Superrrr delicious. And there's a freaking hash brown in there, what's there not to love. The chai iced tea that I decided to try out was a little disappointing, but this is a small thing in comparison to how amazing this place throws down everything else. This place is my new favorite. I am an East Pilsen resident but recently came this way to try something new. I have been going to this place after my run every single morning. It's my treat after a 4 mile run. I feel like I'm with family when I get here. The owner, Michelle, is so welcoming and accommodating. One time since I did want cream in my coffee, when I mentioned after the fact, she was kind enough to dump the old cup and give me a brand new hot cup of coffee with oat milk. Loved it! And I'm hooked. I typically stick around for 10 Mins or so chatting about the neighborhood. I have not tried any of the sandwiches because this delicious coffee with oat milk is so fulfilling.
