    BEST COFFEE OF MY LIFE

I've found it!!! The best coffee in the world (or at least where I've tried lol) I stopped here on a whim because I was going somewhere nearby and wanted a cup of coffee. This place is tiny but they had a line out the door! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I had a breve which is espresso, milk, and sugar - it was amazing!! It tasted like chocolate but I didn't add any. I looked at the bagged coffee and it had notes of chocolate. I bought a bag of beans and brought them home back to Cleveland and I've been drinking it since I came home. Thankfully they sell the beans online so I'll definitely be ordering some.

THE BEST coffee I had while in Chicago. And definitely going to be my go-to whenever in town! The coffee shop is pretty small so there is very little counter seating by the window. But there is a pretty big outdoor space that has seating. Ginger Turmeric Almond Milk Espresso Latte - Very lightly sweetened and the perfect amount of that ginger burn. I could drink this EVERYDAY. It's perfection. Mexican Chocolate Espresso Latte - The perfect blend of sweetness and slight bitterness. The espresso here is so smooth and delicious. Probably one of the best espresso I've had in the states. (I drink a lot, a lot of coffee) Prices are super reasonable. Service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful.

This is a very small cafe right next to the Pink line station. You line up at the door inside the train station and you exit through the other door on the other side. The line wasn't too long when I was there. They have a moderate amount of food and drink options. I had 'L' Cubano sandwich which was a big portion for the price. It has real pork and some lunch meat. Quite delicious! The espresso (single shot) with some creamer was ok. It looks like the nice coffee mugs that they've posted here in 2020-2021 are for sale and not used in the store. Seats are limited. The outdoor seating area is not available now during winter. I saw many people take their food to go. Parking looks tricky lol

One of the reasons why I really love living in Pilsen is because of spots like this. These little independent coffee, shops and sandwich, shops and restaurants are located all over this community. I really hope that it remains this way, and that it is not gentrified to the point where it just looks like everywhere else. This particular café is about four doors down from my house. When I tell you I love this place, I am not exaggerating. Javier who may be the owner...I'm not sure because he is always there...is super friendly and amazing. All of the staff is very helpful and friendly and they all take turns making sure no one is really waiting too long to get their order taken. Even when I am walking my dog and I want to stop for a coffee they are really cool about letting my very tamed pup sit next to me while I wait for my drink. This place is a neighborhood gem with not just coffee but also good sandwiches. On the weekends I'm either here or at another local gem that is one block away getting something to eat. This establishment is actually inside of the CTA station so it's nice and warm if you have to wait outside the door. This place is excellent so often times the line is definitely long but it is worth the wait.

It's fresh, a little sweet, and makes you feel like you've made a good life decision--even if you're just ordering coffee in pajamas. If I was a local, I could definitely see this space as a regular study spot To be honest, I feel like my boyfriend and I didn't order the best items because the coffee and food was just okay -- I'll come back to try their breakfast burrito and potato wedges next time, and maybe try different speciality drinks like their hibiscus matcha or this purple iced drink I saw everyone ordering But the staff was so kind and the space had great vibes so I hope to try more from them next time!

While reading I saw that Metric in Chicago was on the list. And that was the sign this place had to be a must try! Came here on a Saturday morning. I walked a few miles from downtown to the neighborhood this place is in. It is in an industrial part town of area. Kind of reminds me of the west bank of the flats area or temont type of area we have in Cleveland. The shop itself is not very big. However the coffee, is absolutely incredible. While there I met Cara . She was so friendly and knowledgeable. I mentioned that the reason for making the walk to this place was to see how it measured with award of top 100 shop. From there I got my espresso. Amazing. Just amazing! Cara also took the time explain the cupping process. And how Metric gets their beans. The educational experience for a coffee nerd like myself was . And then getting a chance to do the cupping was icing on the cake!!! I'm very glad that I got to experience this gem of a shop. I truly understand why it's top . When in Chicago, for any coffee lover/nerd. Come here. I promise you will love it!!! https://theworlds100bestcoffeeshops.com/locales/metric/

Fully stocked pastries and options, great customer service and HOT tea!!! My visit today Saturday 2/28 @3pm CST was VERY disappointing not only for me. Let's get into it. I was second in line I paid for my croissants and stepped aside while I waited for my Honey Lavender Matcha. The 2 girls in front of me was also waiting. One left she too ordered the same tea. The second girl in front of me was checking her order and noticed (2) Honey Lavender Matcha (cold) on the screen and they removed it. Gave her her order and she left. I'm still standing and waiting and the girl with the duplicate tea on her order returns and says you didn't give me my tea. My drink is finished and my matcha cup is not hot. I take a sip and it's tasteless and luke warm. I didn't feel like more waiting I left and heated it up at home. These two cashiers need more coaching on QA quality assurance is important when it's not included it causes customer service to drop quite a bit. I know this was a one off bad experience which is why I'm rating this place 5. However if it was my first time visiting this franchise they would've gotten a 2 out of 5. They advertise hot tea mine was not.

It's smooth, perfectly foamy, and dangerously drinkable. I order multiple every time because apparently I believe I'm running a small coffee distribution center from my home. The spinakopita pastry deserves its own fan club--golden, flaky, warm, and packed with spinach and feta in that perfect savory balance. It's the kind of pastry that makes you pause mid-bite and go, "okay... this is really good." And the blueberry muffin gets an honorable mention because it quietly does its job extremely well--moist, full of blueberries, and not overly sweet. The reliable supporting actor of the order. I love a specialty latte so the Honey Bee latte caught my eye and oof, delicious but maybe a little too sweet for me. My friend got the banana coffee from the same specialty menu and felt the same way. This is one of her favorite spots in town, so definitely good coffee and worth another visit, but I might stay away from the specialty drinks menu. We also got a spanakopita as a quick bite and that was a hit!
