I ordered a drink with cold foam, only to find out after my drink was handed to me that the cold foam wasn't available. I wish they had mentioned that when I ordered so I could've chosen something else. As for the atmosphere, it definitely feels like a locals spot, and it was pretty evident who the regulars were some friendlier than others. We happened to sit next to an influencer who didn't seem too pleased with our presence, which made things a little awkward. Overall, the coffee was good, but the experience didn't quite live up to the reviews I had seen. I'd maybe go back and try something else.

The inside is simple and cute, nothing overdone, just a nice place to enjoy your drink. My only downside is the staff. I have had a couple of really friendly experiences, but most of the time they seem pretty dry and not very inviting. Overall, still a great spot and one I keep coming back to.

The bakery itself is cute with lots of sittings available. We went on a weekday so not crowded at all. It also has a convenient 15 minute parking right outside otherwise, you'll need to park on the streets. We ordered the pistachio bombolini, pecan tart, biscoff cheesecake and tomato and spinach quiche plus an assortment of cookies. The stand outs for me are the almond cookie and the biscoff cheesecake. Taste, sweetness, flavor and texture of these two items are superb. The rest of the items were so so..not bad but nothing to rave about either. Flavors are just too muted and for the amount of money we paid, a bit disappointing. Portions are decent. This place is more sweet than savory and for the flavor and texture, I might go one block to Fat Peach instead although the latter's price is steeper than Paola's. Overall, an okay neighborhood bakery with some hits.
