This coffee shop is TRULY a hidden gem. I ran into it randomly and it ended up being my favorite place. If it was closer to me I would go often. It's the best coffee shop you will try in Chicago; I don't quite understand how it is not popular. The drinks are just perfect. They're of quality and the flavors blend in so well with the richness of the coffee. The drinks are truly made with love and it shows from the taste. I got the lavender latte and tried my friends chai latte. Both drinks were phenomenal. It's hard to find unique coffee drinks that aren't overly sweet. This spot has it down to perfection. I really love this coffee shop. The only thing I would change about it is that I would make it closer to me. The artwork is so interesting and I spent the first 15 minutes just looking around! I tried the Sweet Potato Pie latte and it was amazing. So I broke my rule of having only one cup of coffee a day and try the Taffy Apple latte and it was equally amazing! The owner gave me a half off discount on my second cup. He was so nice and took the time to chat with me about his business and his hopes for expanding his hours. He was so kind. I love the seating spaces. This will be a great place to work remotely, to go with a group of friends and have a book club meeting, to just go and relax yourself and get some reading done. I'm reluctant to write this review, because I don't want this place to get so popular that I can't grab a seat or a table when I need to drop by to get some work done and enjoy an excellent hot or warm beverage. Muse Coffee Studio is my preferred home/office away from home at this point. It is very comfortable, and the vibe is exactly what I'd want to create if I were an owner of a business/gathering space. This place feels like you're being welcomed. It feels personal in a great way. It feels human, and real, and connected to people in the way that the best hospitality businesses are. If you enjoyed any (or many) of the artists featured in Dave Chappelle's Block party (or the artists that inspired those artists), then this place is often playing exactly your soundtrack. It is EXACTLY mine. Potentially ironically given the business I'm reviewing, I don't drink coffee. Ever. I do love the smell of coffee. I love it in ice cream or as an ice cream flavor, but I can't drink it to save my life. I'm a tea person through and through. And Muse Coffee Studio always has some seasonal teas that are even more soothing than your standard issue fare. My personal favorite is probably "The Fire Next Time." Perfect spicy heat and temperature to take the chill off during a Chicago Fall or Winter. There's also an art gallery here which just adds to the overall ambiance of chill. Take your time to peruse and recenter yourself while your drink warms you. There are also occasionally special programs on the weekends, so take a look at their website or instagram feed before you come through on Saturdays or Sundays. Enjoy. read more

This place is so cool. You walk in and make your order at the cashier. It looks small, but when you walk to the back, you are welcomed to a huge room with open space. The decor is very cool with paintings on shelves with exposed brick walls. There are tables and chairs, and couches. Such a great space to study or hang out. Lighting is bright and good for reading or studying. It def has a great vibe. I had the hot chocolate with oat milk and it was very good. Perfect for cold weather and for a non-caffeinated drinker. read more

I tried the lavender latte and the matcha lavender latte and I loved that there is no additional charge for alternative milks! I got the drinks with almond milk and they were great! The lavender latte was a bitter stronger in the coffee with a hint of lavender and the lavender matcha had a nice blend of sweetness and quality matcha. Jan 2021- New TriTaylor black-owned coffee spot has been only open a week and i stopped by! Serving Metric coffee--thumbs up. Owner George says his favorite color is purple and there are light accents under the wood and brick vibe. He's serving a basics menu to start, but it includes an on-theme lavender latte. Are just building their food menu but was happy to see Justice of the Pies! Larger exposed-brick back room will provide ample seating area when the time comes, and they plan on being able to multi-use the space. read more

We love our new neighborhood coffee shop! Just down the street from where we live, Muse Coffee Shop has brought a much needed caffeine oasis. First and foremost, the coffee is incredible. Fresh brewed and high quality, they have everything you need from delicious drip coffee to decadent lattes. I love the Lavender latte made with their house made Lavender syrup. My husband loves the vanilla latte. Both are great hot or iced! And oat milk, almond milk, and whole milk to choose between. Yum! The drip coffee, hot or iced, is also top notch if you are looking for no-frills non-latte options. They also have non-coffee options like Matcha and scrumptious looking baked goods. We haven't tried those options yet but look forward to giving it a try in the future! The staff are wonderfully welcoming and helpful. We've loved every interaction! Also, the space is so clean, open, and fun! Cashless and with a street window, they were super safe during the pandemic! Thanks Muse! There are also lots of books to look through and educate yourself while you wait for your made-to-order drink. It's great! Not only did the owner, George, give my friends and I our drinks on the house he also let us take our pick of free pastries from the cabinet. That level of generosity with high quality products is very meaningful and created such a welcoming environment. My matcha iced latte came out earthy and refreshing which is no small feat considering how finnicky matcha can be. I also tried a few bites of the cold brew donut and it was fresh with the perfect level of sweetness-can't wait to try the other pastries.
