Wild rice latte :)

Wanted to check out a new coffee shop on this lovely day and WOW! You need to check this place out! Support your local coffee shops!!

We were headed out for an early date night and my wife needed a quick pick me up so we looked for a cafe that was still open. Anticonquista Cafe was right up the block so we decided to stop in. I love the feel of this place. There were quite a few people in here studying. It was pretty quiet. The staff was friendly and we didn't feel rushed. I ordered a hot chocolate that tasted that it was crafted with high quality cocoa. My wife ordered a mocha and said it was really good. I loved the pro labor / anti colonial art. This seems like a wonderful place for a friend meet up/ first date/ study spot. I'll definitely stop in again if I'm in the area.

Anticonquista Café has so many delicious options! I went on a weekend they were selling Guatemalan tamal and it was AMAZING! My whole family ate them and we still talk about them. Their coffee is good too! They were very helpful and friendly. There is seating available. Note: No high chairs available.

Cubanito, husband said he had better though

Must try: - cafe de olla latte - everything bagel with onion chive spread - panini with Brie on blue corn baked bread Love the ambience and how beautifully curated the art and furniture are here. Lots of seating to get work done or enjoy a nice coffee date. The cafe de olla latte is just divine! We are soon to be regulars. We went on a Saturday morning and it was very crowded! The owner served us as she was taking orders, very kind and low key. This is a great small business to support. Please read their bio at the very back of the cafe with a magazine article on display covering their history.

Great balanced coffee. True neighborhood gem and the mango yogurt bowl should not be missed. A morning repeater for sure.

This coffee shop was great in terms of a small menu and good items and an awesome speciality menu. They do all their drinks in house and they are all good! I had a Agua de Maracuya and a cold brew. both great options. the service was good, friendly and quick! with the cold brew jar, if you bring it back they give you $1 off your next purchase. Ambiance felt very family type. people are encouraged to sit and share tables. You can WFM from here but you cannot take any Video calls/meetings, for safety and protection of everyone around.

Stopped in to support one of Pilsen's newest cafes, anticonquista cafe, with a friend. Love the building it's in. Cute and cozy space with a lovely bird mural I particularly enjoyed as a birder. It's a woman owned, Guatemalan cafe that also serves some tasty Guatemalan pastries. I had a Guatemalan concha pastry with guava that was seriously amazing! Welcome to Pilsen!

This is a cute cozy new spot in Pilsen. I love trying the local cafes vs always just hitting Starbucks. This place is decorated colorfully and in keeping with its Guatemalan heritage. Love the art hanging in the walls as well as the mural. The coffee is fantastic and smooth. There's an assortment of baked goods and seasonal menu items. They are new so I think they're still working out some kinks operationally, for instance while I was in line to order my coffee the cashier stepped away to deal with orders coming out. For a few solid minutes no one was working the register and the line built up to the door, but I think those type of things are growing pains that get better with time. Friendly service, will be back.

I must not have had real Columbian coffee before today. I had a latte at Cal's on Division St…read more it was absolutely delicious. I chose an 8 oz drink, because caffeine and I do not always get along. When I saw the "courtesy cup" size, I thought, "That can't be 8 oz." But, it was, and the cups were on the top of the glass case to show how large they were. It was the right size drink for me. The "courtesy cup" size reminded me of the days in Gahanna, Ohio, whenthere was some kind of privat battle between little BBF fast food place and big McDonald's. I liked BB, and I didn't understand why McDonald's won and BBF went away. They both had courtesy cups for children. Milkshakes were huge. My mother poured some of hers into two courtesy cups, one for my sister, and one for me. Keep your courtesy cup size, Cals. Julie

The bonus here is there is a mini roaster and DJ area with two turntables and speakers. Can't wait to go back for some good vibing. My wife loved the ham and cheese danish. I couldn't get enough of that banana bread muffin with my hot mocha. The barista was pleasant and professional and seemed calm when the line started to grow. Luckily, her "sidekick" showed up soon after and helped to move things along, A dynamic duo. Pics to come soon.

The Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Chicago is an absolutely beautiful experience! From the moment…read moreyou walk in, you can tell this isn't your typical Starbucks. With five floors to explore, stunning architecture, and an extensive selection of food, coffee, and cocktails, it's definitely a place worth visiting. However, my biggest recommendation is to GET THERE EARLY! We ended up waiting approximately 30-40 minutes just to order our food, and honestly, I didn't even feel like we were that far back in line! The third floor is where you'll find the majority of the food options, while the fourth floor features a bar with some really interesting cocktails. They also offer both physical and online menus, which is helpful when deciding what to order. Now, let's talk about the food because we tried quite a few things! The absolute star of the show was the cheddar, bacon, and egg biscuit on a croissant! This was SO incredibly good! The flavors worked perfectly together, and it was easily my favorite food item of the entire visit. I would come back for this alone! We also tried the salmon toast, which came with cream cheese, arugula, and salmon on sourdough bread. It was delicious and had a great combination of flavors. My only critique was that I wished the sourdough bread had been a little softer, but it was still enjoyable nonetheless. The Parmesan herb-crusted prosciutto sandwich was another winner! It was flavorful, and the croissant was buttery, light, and flaky, just as you'd hope. We also ordered the whiskey donut, which was a little smaller than I expected. However, it was still really good, and the frosting was definitely what made the donut stand out! After enjoying our food, we headed up to the fourth-floor bar to try some cocktails, and let me tell you, the drinks did NOT disappoint! We ordered the rum espresso martini, and it was SO freaking good! The combination of flavors was absolutely delicious. We also tried the pumpkin spice espresso martini, and it was everything I hoped it would be! Seriously, 10/10 recommend both cocktails! If you enjoy espresso martinis, the fourth-floor bar is absolutely worth checking out. One thing to keep in mind is that their lunch offerings become available after 11 a.m. We spotted a pepperoni focaccia that looked absolutely incredible, but unfortunately, we didn't get to try it this time. That's definitely on my list for my next visit! Overall, I really enjoyed the Starbucks Reserve Roastery. The building itself is gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the cocktails were phenomenal. It's much more than just grabbing a cup of coffee; it's an entire experience. Would I return? Absolutely! However, next time, I'd make it a point to arrive earlier in the morning to hopefully avoid such a long wait. My recommendation: Come early, explore all five floors, don't skip the cheddar bacon and egg croissant, and DEFINITELY make your way to the fourth-floor bar for an espresso martini! This is one Chicago attraction I would happily visit again!

I'm not a Starbucks regular, but I really enjoyed the vibe here. The unique furniture, modern fireplaces, and that bronze cask/bean delivery thing were fantastic, and browsing the merchandise was a lot of fun. We sampled a few things from the menu: the Tiramisu Latte was delicious, though the avocado toast fell a bit flat. On the bright side, the staff was super friendly and helpful throughout. Unfortunately, we ran out of time to check out the gelato and cocktails, but that just gives us a great reason to come back!

Now that you all have gotten rid of the DJ table and added more chairs, it does feel more like a standard cafe! I'm looking forward to the menu changes. Thanks for your consideration! Previous review: I really enjoy their beverages and I keep coming back. That being said, there is almost no price transparency. The only prices they have on their menu are for the THC additions. I've mentioned this to the owner twice (he's a cool guy) but he has always sort of shrugged it off. It bothers me every time I'm in. Sometimes my latte with oat milk comes out different prices. Price transparency is so important for consistency . Not including the prices is a bit elitist, especially when the average drink is $6-$8. You should want folks to come in and comfortably order what they can afford. I hope this suggestion is taken into consideration. The drinks are good and like I said, I keep coming back but this has been a sticking point for me for a year plus.
