Buyer Beware: Deceptive Pricing and Classic Dealership Games…read moreWe drove two hours from Wisconsin to inspect an advertised pre-owned truck at Advantage Chevrolet of Bolingbrook. After calling ahead, the dealership explicitly assured us the vehicle would be prepped and ready for a test drive upon our arrival. Roughly 40 minutes before we arrived, a salesman named Raul Rosales called to inform us the truck was actually off-site at a detail shop. Because we were already over an hour into the trip, we agreed to go with Raul to the detail shop to inspect it. The truck had only 12,000 miles and appeared to be in great shape. To save time, we decided to head back to the dealership to work through the numbers while waiting for the truck to be brought back. That is when the experience devolved into a masterclass in classic dealership runarounds. We gave Raul an initial price we were willing to pay, initiating a tedious cycle of endless back-and-forth waiting. When he returned saying they could meet our price, I noticed a forced "protection plan" added to the breakdown. I insisted it be removed, so off he went. When he returned, I spotted a separate $900 detailing fee that was actually illegal to add on. Exhausted from the long drive and over an hour and a half of dealer games, Raul finally left to set up the final documents. We then waited another 30 to 40 minutes for the truck to return from the detail shop so we could finally test drive it. While the vehicle drove well, completing the purchase took another half hour, including a requirement to unlock our TransUnion credit report even though we were paying in full by check. Finally, we met with finance manager Tim Hosek to sign. What followed was a heavy pitch for extended warranties, followed by a rushed signing process where the final figures were glossed over completely without a transparent line-item breakdown. The following day, I thoroughly audited the paperwork. To my dismay, I discovered we were charged $1,928 above our agreed-upon price, along with an extra $275 artificially added to the licensing fees. I have attempted to call Tim and dealership management to resolve this discrepancy, but they refuse to return my calls. I have now filed a formal complaint with the Illinois Attorney General Consumer Complaint Portal and the Better Business Bureau. If you're financing through this dealership, double-check every single line item before you sign. Their primary strategy is steering your attention toward the monthly payment figure while quietly padding the back end with hidden dealer fees, mandatory "protection plans," and shell-game price increases. Because interest rates and loan terms can easily disguise hundreds--or even thousands--of dollars in tacked-on costs, make sure you demand a itemized, line-by-line total cash price breakdown. Do not sign or rely on verbal promises until every single fee matches what you explicitly agreed to pay.

However, when we began discussing the financial aspects, his demeanor became extremely rude. He even went so far as to toss the final offer, which was written on a sheet of paper, stating, "If you want 0% finance, this is the best I can do," before walking away. I was there for no more than two hours before I left.

BUYER BEWARE - THIS DEALER IS A SCAM. I WOULD NOT recommend this dealer to my worst enemy. I…read morepurchased a car from them in July 2020. From the time I drove the car off the lot it has had engine problems. There was NO disclosure of these issues at the time of purchase. They sold me a bogus warranty that doesn't cover anything. I tried to work with these scammers to fix the issue and they have refused, even to the point of blocking my calls. The car is still having those same issues. When I first contacted them, they said they will pay a portion of any repair fees but all they cared about was making money on the deal and not doing what was right for the customer. Needless to say, I never got ANY check from them either.

I definitely will go back if I'm ever in the need of a vehicle again, and strongly would recommend them to anyone else in the market for a clean quality used vehicle. They took my extended warranty info and worked with the warranty company to make sure it was done correctly and to my satisfaction. He was pleasant, knowledgeable about the QX80, and great to work with. After the test drive, we came back and talked for a bit and I told him I was interested. A few minutes later, Shawn, one of the managers, came in without Zach. I remember thinking, "Here we go, now comes the high-pressure sales guy." I couldn't have been more wrong. Shawn was a straight shooter from the beginning. No pressure, no endless back-and-forth price game. He simply wanted to find me the exact vehicle I wanted and give me the best deal he could. I had done quite a bit of homework and had already shopped several other dealers. They didn't have my exact color combination in stock, but by the next day Shawn had located one with the exact options I wanted. Here's what really impressed me: I knew exactly what this vehicle should cost because I had pricing from several other dealers on essentially the same QX80. Shawn beat the other pricing by about 5%. Even more surprising, his price came in roughly $3,000 below the number I had already told him he needed to reach to earn my business. He could have easily stopped at my number, but he didn't. That told me a lot about how he does business. Needless to say, I was very happy with the entire experience. From Zach, to Shawn, to the finance department, to how beautifully the vehicle was detailed when I picked it up, everything was first-class. Buying a $100,000+ vehicle can easily turn into an exhausting negotiation. This was exactly the opposite. Straightforward, professional, fair and actually enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend Infiniti of Naperville, and especially Zach and Shawn, to anyone looking for an Infiniti. They earned my business.

What an Amazing experience!!!…read more At first, when I bought the car, there was some minor issues... however, when I brought it up to this dealerships attention, they went above and beyond to make it right for me as a customer. My special thanks to Daniel Tucker for the best service I have ever received from a Sales rep.. and I have bought over 30 cars in my life time.. Most dealerships, wash their hands of a customer, once the car is sold, stating, you bought the car As-Is, however Napleton Maserati made sure to make it right, even with the small issue we noticed after the sale was done. I am from California, so realistically Napleton did not have to do anything, or could have simply said, it was an act of god or delivery company that caused it. But again, they did not let me down.. And for that, they get a A+ from this Marine Veteran ~ and if you are an out of state buyer, I recommend using their delivery company, b/c they warranty and guarantee your car will be delivered as promised in the pictures or videos they will send you, or they will cover any possible issues that a delivery company may have caused (if you use the delivery company they have). I used my own delivery company, and I regret it.. ~ however, instead of playing the blame game, Napleton service and sales managers reviewed the cars service record, and made it right for me. And for that I am extremely grateful. Thank you Napleton, Don (Director), Matt (sales manager) and Daniel Tucker (sales representative) , for putting me in my dream car that runs beautifully.
