Very unreliable. Came for first treatment, no problem. 2nd treatment: a no-show. Got someone late in the day; we couldn't get all 3 cats contained and outside, so rescheduled for Monday 8:30- 9:00 a.m. again; no-show. My cats have been in carriers since 800 am they say they may get here later today. These poor cats will be in carriers for more than 10-12 hours if they come before 3 pm, and much longer if they come later. I can't let them out; I'll never be able to catch them again. Not right, guys; you need to do better. read more

I called the person who gave me his business card at 9:45 AM. I called and left him 2 messages within 5 minutes. No response. Then I had to call several numbers I found online. They set it up so you cannot leave a message. Finally I got to speak to a human. Of course they couldn't explain why we were not given a phone call to tell us no one was going to arrive to do the service call. Do not use this service. They either come unprepared or unwilling to properly service homes. The best you'll get is a lazy tech spraying and refilling baits. At worst you'll get someone who comes without the right equipment - or ongoing rescheduled appointments because they could not make it to you when planned / scheduled. My last interaction can be summed up as "Three weeks ago against my better judgement I tried one last time with Fox to handle a problem - carpenter bees. The pest control tech who came out did not have the necessary equipment to treat them - which is wild because carpenter bees was the exact / only reason he was called out. Said he needed to come back to dust them - that he'd climb a ladder to spray in each and every hole - and that it would take quite a while. I called again yesterday and asked to make sure this was happening today. The person on the phone said they would note it for the tech. Today - the tech came and did not want to do what the last person said needed to happen. Said the best he could do was go around with a pole and dust around the outside of the holes....which is the kind of thing the last tech said wouldnt be good enough. read more

For starters, read the other reviews here before signing up. The service is a grift and, based on my experience, quite the scam. Here's how it went for me. We had a minor wasp issue. The initial tech was nice and we signed up for a year. They were desperate to get us for 2 years, but we denied that. After two services, we received calls to upcharge our service for additional protection. We weren't very interested and mentioned that we would likely cancel service after the contract expired as the initial issue was solved. The gentleman was very unhappy with this response, gave a curt response, and hung up. Major red flag. Upon coming back to Yelp, and reading the reviews, we noticed a common issue was techs not doing what they claimed. We check the cameras, read the report from the most recent service, and go figure, about half of what the tech claimed was completed did not show on our cameras. We calculated that we'd be charged over 400 bucks for the last 6 months of questionable service. 250 to cancel now. I guess we're forking over the 250 to keep them away from our house. Not local to 12571. certainly response time is not 10 minutes or even a day. Have a contract but still have to wait. tried to cancel my contract but there is a charge for that. Despite contract and scheduled visits......once every three months, I pay $73 a month. Still have a carpenter ant problem which is destructive and regular ant problem as well. Do you think that should be the case if they come contractually? Should'n't that be a none issue or why else would I need any pest control. read more

Some dude showed up on my porch trying to solicit and wouldn't take no for an answer, he made my mother in law feel uncomfortable. She said he walked up with no vehicle which made her unsure he was even being truthful. His "pitch" was that they had been applying mosquito and tick treatments at a neighbors house, she said we aren't interested closed the door and he started speaking again to get her to open the door. Another thing the uniform leaves a lot to be desired in regards to figuring out what company you are and what you do your "brand" isn't well known enough to have guys in basically all black with a small red and white tail on the cap, she wasn't even sure he was telling the truth about being with a pest control company again cause he just walked up to the house and continued to walk up our road no vehicles in sight. In conclusion, if you are gonna have guys solicit make sure people can easily see who and what you are. Most importantly don't be pushy and over bearing sometimes no thank you just means that. I have ring footage of this but I'm not sharing it guy doesn't need to catch heat for a review y'all just need to train them better. read more

Called about yellow jackets, 1st Tech came and treated all the areas/crevices we showed him, he stated within 12-14 days if any activity is present call and they would retreat. We did, and they sent a different tech who treated the one issue and NOT the second. My Husband came home and was quite upset they didn't redo the second issue. We called and asked to send the !st tech out to do and complete the treatment correctly. We were told payment only covered one revisit. THEY didn't do the job, and refused to send someone to actually complete the service. I would NOT recommend them to anyone and am making it known they don't do what they got paid to do! read more

BEWARE: THEY REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU Showing up at our door during COVID lockdown, we gave them a chance. We signed a contract and all seemed fine. They said they visited and sprayed, but never left any evidence that they did (door hanger? flier? receipt?). We ran into them once or twice, so we assumed that they were coming as they said. But when we noticed that there wasn't much of a positive difference in bug activity, we decided to cancel, no easy feat. I tried calling several times, but no one would ever answer. I left messages, requested callbacks, but still nothing. I emailed them about canceling but got messages like, "What would be the reason for wanting to cancel with us?" and "Do you still have pest activity?" and "Do you need this pushed out to a different day?" --anything but to the point which was that I requested to cancel service. Despite my pleas, they scheduled a service to my house, didn't come (I know this because I was home all day), and then sent me an invoice (via mail and email) for $208.38 for services that didn't occur. (Makes me wonder how many other times they billed me for services not rendered.) And you know WHY they didn't just charge my credit card? I had canceled it, so they couldn't. Otherwise, they would have. I tried calling some more to cancel our contract, but no one answered. That was when it dawned on me that they had flagged my phone number and weren't picking up because they knew what I wanted. So, I called from a different number, and you know what? They picked up immediately. The rep said that she would forward my cancellation request to the Accounts Manager. Then I didn't hear anything further. So I contacted the Better Business Bureau who jumped right on it. They contacted the company and mediated the cancellation, something that wasn't happening without them. Within two days, I was out thanks to the BBB. My goal now? To warn everyone and post this message everywhere. Stay FAR AWAY from this company. Don't believe their niceties below or however they respond to this message (and they will). They are a VERY shady company with duplicitous business practices. They will post that they want a conversation with me (as they have posted with others) but those are words after the fact. They are SWINDLERS, HUSTLERS, and CROOKS who just want your money. The proof is in the example they set before the problem, not after it. They didn't want to talk to me when I wanted to cancel, but they will surely want to talk to me to mitigate bad press. Oh where to start, first of all the door to door salesman who came by (should have been my first red flag) lied about the length of the contract. I said multiple times I was only willing to sign up for 1 year of service, not multiple years, which he assured me was what I was signing for, but the page on the Ipad he didn't show me when i signed was for 2 years. The first service was fine, but the next few they spend less than 20 minutes at my house, claiming they treated a bunch of areas that my camera showed they didn't go. The final service the tech was only out of his truck about 10 minutes and that included walking back and forth 3 times. He had his duster out for a total of 3 minutes and claimed he treated the entire house. When i called to complain/cancel they told me that since i was under a 2 year contract there was a large cancellation fee. I had to threaten to go to the attorney general and Better business bureau stating i had their tech on camera not providing the service i paid for before they would finally cancel. Within 2 weeks there was another door to door salesman back at my door trying to get me to purchase their service again. They also won't stop calling trying to get me to sign up again. Fox has been my pest control company for a several years. We haven't had any significant pest issues until this summer and I've previously been satisfied with the Home Protection Plan and Sentricon services they provided. This summer, yellow jackets entered a vent on our house and Fox sent technicians out to apply a treatment on 3 occasions because the yellow jacket activity persisted. After the 3rd treatment, the yellow jackets immediately entered the house. When I called to express my concern to a management representative about a)why these weren't dead despite 3 treatments & when we might use a product that would actually kill them & B) why were they now living their best life in my house, I was told that they usually don't treat if they can't remove a nest because it drives them further into the house. That's a piece of information I would've appreciated being told BEFORE the three treatments were applied. Additionally, they said it wouldn't do any good for them to come back to treat the yellow jackets IN OUR HOUSE if we didn't know where the nest was. They're unable to assist in any nest locating or offer suggestions as to where I might look, but said if I wanted a nest removed there are companies that do that. Apparently, they are not one of those. In summary, the primary service they've provided is facilitating the yellow jacket invasion of the interior of my house, creating a potentially much more expansive & expensive problem, which they're unable to fix unless I find the nest myself at which point they can come back and spray it. I'm now sharing my house with a multitude of yellow jackets, who particularly like my kids rooms, without an obvious nest site and am apparently on my own to identify and locate the problem. I've always felt good about their services in the past because we didnt really need them. This has been a wake up call. read more

I had a sales rep knock on my door to try to sign a contract for insect removal. I claimed my next door neighbor just signed up and a truck would be here tomorrow. After speaking to him for a while I could tell he was lying. I said let's walk over and confirm. But didn't. After all the pressure sales he finally left with nothing. This is the absolute worst customer service experience ever, it almost seems unreal. The technicians lie, they NEVER show up to appointments, this company literally gaslights you and does not respect your time. They charge you monthly and do nothing. They were hired 8 months ago for mice and I still have mice. They say you can call anytime and they will come out and they never do, they don't even show for routine appointments. The receptionists lie to get you off the phone and say they are coming and no one ever shows up. You are not allowed to speak to a supervisor ever. They do a good job up till you need to cancel 2 year service they lock you. They also do not adhere to their own contract. All you need to do is give 30 written notice. I notified them on more that one time. They need to have me call to cancel. They refused to do anything till I call. About 6 to 12 months later they did cancel but added a fee to do so. I found this company via an online search when I was looking to rid my property of a wasp problem. I was hesitant when I found out this was a subscription based service with a monthly price tag of $70! I saw they had good reviews and felt comforted when I was advised that I had the ability to call them for service whenever I needed them. Which was on top of a quarterly service they provide. I reluctantly signed up with the justification that at least I do not have to worry about pests anymore. However, this past week I found a bees nest forming on the side of my house so I went to their website to schedule an appointment. Unfortunately, their website does not offer any sort of online booking or email option to make an appointment. I called their number and waited on hold for 33 minutes until a young lady answered my call. I informed her of my issue and wanted to schedule a service. I was put on hold for 7 minutes and when she returned to the call I was informed that she couldn't "find" an appointment and that someone would call me back..click! I was a little angry to say the least so I prepared myself to calm down for when I receive my call back. It has been three days since that call and nobody has contacted me back. I have reached out to the same service center number and left messages. My last message informed them that I removed my payment method from my account with them. I am not paying a monthly fee for not only horrible service, but NO service! They have in the contract you sign that if you cancel your contract before 12 months that there is a $200 penalty fee. This is the first time I have asked them to perform any service other than the initial one they provided. I will not be paying any penalty fee since they are in breach of contract for not providing the services stipulated in that contract. I believe this company's business model is to sign up as many people for the initial service..get them to sign the monthly contract..then forget about them. They probably sell the $200 penalty to a debt collector for penny's on the dollar and just churn over an area until they get sued or are investigated by a state agency. In my opinion this company is absolute garbage and nobody should even consult with them about what services they offer. I should have know that the company was a joke when they informed me of their "subscription" based services. You live and learn and I can only hope that the readers of this review decide to choose another company for their pest removal needs..at least my ordeal with them would be put to some good use. read more

My wife and I scheduled an appointment with Fox Pest Control for Fri, Aug 20th to remove a very dangerous wasp nest. John called us and confirmed the appointment and told us that Alex would arrive between 2pm to 4pm. On Fri, Aug 20th, I took off from work to wait for Alex to arrive. At 4pm, he still hadn't come, so I called their office and was told he was "almost finished with a job and that he was in the next town over" and that "he text us when he was on his way." At 6:30pm, he still hadn't called, texted, or arrived. We called the office and were told, "you don't have an appointment today between 2pm to 4pm, and the technician isn't returning our calls so he must be done for the day." I still haven't heard from anyone at Fox as to what happened. They just ghosted me. Steer clear of this unprofessional company. You'll thank me later. read more

I was lied to. I was told it was a one time service when I scheduled on phone. I paid in full $189. I had spoken to the guy who was at my house that day and was very clear I did not want him to come back I just needed the one time visit. He said I needed to sign his clipboard for him to use my credit card for that service and to confirm he did the service. So I signed. He blatantly lied. A month later I noticed an unauthorized charge on my credit card $68. Apparently it's $150 to cancel account and they charge you monthly even though they do not come out. What kind of business is this? I cancelled but got screwed out of a lot of money. They are a fraud company. Beware. read more

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW before YOU sign up! I have NEVER given a review on YELP but felt compelled to share this experience with you all. Westchester County, NY Resident. I signed up nearly 2 weeks ago due to a HUGE BEE problem. We had a Large Bee hive on the exterior portion of the house along with 2 Bees nests under the house siding (one in front and one in back). We clearly articulated the problems and the locations that needed to be addressed. The appointment was scheduled. Fox came out and removed the exterior bee hive and left, without addressing the other 2 primary issues. I have called NUMEROUS times (sometimes getting through to a human and other times received a message that I would receive a call back but never did). I called once again last night and was on hold for over 1 hour. Needless to say that the issue has YET to be resolved. Customer service is HORRENDOUS! I am sure that I will hear from someone once I post this review. I called again this morning and was connected to the scheduling dept for existing customers. I apologized to for the poor customer serviced that I described. I asked to speak with a manager who gave the poor excuse that this is a busy time and they have not been able to return all the calls. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the services and questioned how I can cancel, she replied they will charge me a $200 early cancellation fee if I do so. I have been told the earliest someone can come out is next week (2 weeks after I originally gave specific details as to the areas of concern). i hired fox because i was stung numerous times by a white faced hornet. they came initially and did eradicated the nest.. that was good. i later found european giant hornets at night flying around my porch and back of my home. contacted them it took several weeks to get a response and no one contacted me. i set up to be notified prior to exterminating to be done because i have a feral cat that i wanted to catch to keep her away from pesticides. well they came again "unannounced " and did the treatment, my daughter was home and saw them spraying my organic herbs with pesticides . when I contacted them they told me that never happened. At this point I was not happy with their lack of communication and what they did so I canceled the service. A week later i get a bill for $250 for my cancellation fee. I paid it. and 2 weeks later I received another bill for $250. This company is corrupt and doesnt truly care about its customers. It does however care about getting their money whatever way and shape they can. I personally would never use them again, nor do i recommend them! read more

I had been dealing with mice (and other invaders) taking over my basement space and didn't want to go down in my basement anymore. I tried handling it myself , but they kept coming back. I called Fox and they sent Alex C out to inspect the area . He placed traps, sealed areas he believed they were entering in and I have been free of rodents ever since! He seemed extremely knowledgeable and was very personable and professional. Just beware!!! Sales people coming through the neighborhood - presented what sounded like an inexspensive service. After their second visit, I was surprised with the cost. I called to have the service stopped. Thought all issues were finalized. I recently was billed for another quarterly service... causing me to contact them to cancel. Beware of sales people offering seemingly inexpensive service. It cost me $150 to terminate the contract. I was never told of this scenario at purchase time and had no idea that the contract I signed had the termination fee in small print somewhere.
