Tried Fox Den's ramen at their pop up at Rice Vice. It was creamy and delicious, a perfect balance of flavors! Check their Instagram for weekly updates about what is on the menu. I think the pricing of the bowls is very fair for the quality of food they are serving. The chef checked in on us while we were dining and made sure we were enjoying our food, which is very appreciated

I loved this place and got quite inebriated while I was loving it so much…read more Good news is that I walked here from my hotel room and could just walk back. Now... if only I could remember where I am staying. LOL. Just kidding! I made it. I got so lit in Japanese whiskey flights that I ordered enough food for two people. The "Flight to Tokyo" lived up to its namesake tremendously. That dang whiskey is wicked man. Combined with the beers that go down like water and you may be like me.... Wasted Soup dumplings are so damn cool. It's also either an engineering marvel or some sort of biblical miracle. How is the soup born inside the little dumpling?? So many questions!! I had some here and they were sure tasty!! I also had some killer crispy fried pork belly and some kick ass twice fried Korean wings!! Pork belly had tremendous umami flavors and was sticky sweet and yummy all at once! Loved it! But then came the Star.... I love chicken wings as much as I love life! That my friend, is a whole fucking lot!! I am more full of myself than you could possibly imagine. I loved these particular chicken wings a little more than life. I walked through downtown Nashville alone, on a random weeknight, just to eat these wings because I saw them on Yelp. I had already eaten dinner at Eddie V's earlier in the evening, but these wings called me from more than a mile away... Come eat me, Adam.... Is all I could hear after I saw others pictures of the wings.... Shhhh. Wings. I can't. But you must, said the wings.... I can't, I have no transportation.... You have two feet still, the wings said... Guess who won that argument? '26 - 23

The ambience is bright and energetic, with fun neon signs and decor. The space feels open and spacious with plenty of seating. We started our night with the Pork Belly Bao Buns, but since they were out of pork belly, we tried the Chinese BBQ Pork instead. I wasn't upset because they were phenomenal. The Soup Dumplings were just as amazing, but the Roti Canai (Malaysian flatbreads with curry sauce) stole the show. The curry was rich with the perfect amount of spice. You're missing out if you skip the appetizers here. For my entrée, I ordered the Hong Kong Wonton Noodle Soup, and all I can say is wow. The broth and tender wontons were the perfect combination. My boyfriend loved his Pad Thai as well, and the only downside was the portion size for the price. I want to give a huge shoutout to our server, Jaylen, for making the experience top-notch. He was incredibly attentive, patient, and offered great recommendations through the night. Hawkers is on my list for date nights, ladies' nights, or a casual evening out (especially for drinks and appetizers!)

We had read somewhere that Acme Feed & Seed (in an historic 1890 building) offered a quieter alternative. We gathered around a nice table near the stage on the first floor, and maybe there were a dozen other people there? Yet, on the next Broadway block things were in full swing? We weren't complaining, but wondered why? The first floor at Acme has been described as a high-energy "Funky Tonk" atmosphere featuring a main stage for live music, a large bar, and fast-casual dining. Our band during our stage was even a little different than that, and what an enjoyable group is was! The Mudbug Stompers brought us the sounds of old-time jug bands, Dixieland jazz, blues, trains, baseball, and crawfish boils. Although this is a Nashville Band, we could have easy been on or around Bourbon Street in NOLA. I was particularly impressed with the trumpet player and the lead singer who played a mean mandolin. Add the string base, sax, and fiddle, and we experienced a very impressive whole. We were highly entertained and engaged, and we're still talking about the experience!

Our group ordered the Hotpot and BBQ combination for $34.99 per person. It was absolutely worth the price. Once our table was ready, we were seated at the door with a 1/2 table but it worked since it was just three of us. If I returned I'd want to do a full table as it was difficult to cook and talk to each other at a half table. There are tons of raw meat, veggie, seafood, noodles, rice options to grill or add to your hot pot. Along with sushi and desserts. Everything I had was good except the sushi which was bland and tasted like it sat out for hours. I also wish it wasn't buffet style with so many hands touching everything. Plus the plates were stored beneath the food and were hard to reach. I stood most of the time to cook because of the table set up. I'm not sure how others did it but I had to go get clean plates to place my food on after cooking because I refused to put cooked food on a plate with formerly raw meat. There also needs to be clean bowls available for finished hot pot food. I had to use the ramen bowl I had from the conveyor belt. Speaking of the conveyor belt, I'm confused about its point an only one person at our table could reach it. Things were not labeled and the majority were available on the buffet. My niece enjoyed herself so that's what really mattered. However, she's the one that gave it 3 stars so not the best or her favorite but also not bad. I will say (and I never mentioned this to my niece because I didn't want to ruin the evening) that I used the restroom and while washing my hands saw one of the workers use the restroom and never wash her hands! Thankfully for us were were done getting food but that's unacceptable. And yes I followed her out and know she was in fact a worker!
