The Chili Tofu and Avocado Spring Rolls were so disappointing I briefly lost faith in civilization. I took one bite and felt my soul leave my body, hover above the table, and ask if we were seriously doing this. It tasted less like food and more like a cry for help wrapped in rice paper. My friend and I each had one bite, locked eyes in silent despair, and the rest was immediately sentenced to the trash with no possibility of parole. The Smashed Cucumber Salad, however, came in like a redemption story written by HBO. Incredible. Fresh, crunchy, perfectly dressed, and here's the kicker: the cucumber was barely smashed. As it should be. I am once again begging restaurants to stop assaulting cucumbers. They did nothing wrong. Let them remain whole, crisp, and emotionally stable. Then the Coconut Curry arrived and suddenly all was not lost. Rich, cozy, and actually delicious. The kind of dish that whispers, "stay, don't leave a one star review yet." A strong supporting actor in an otherwise emotionally complicated evening. Would I drive all the way from downtown for this again? Absolutely not. Nashville has too many places competing like it's the culinary Hunger Games, and right now this one is still in the training montage. There's potential, but we're not at "burn gas money on purpose" levels yet. Now let's talk about the staff: genuinely phenomenal. Kind, attentive, and somehow carrying the entire emotional infrastructure of the restaurant on their backs. Also, there was a ridiculously hot chef or sous chef in the back who had me rethinking years of personal growth. For one reckless second I considered asking if she needed a husband, a line cook, or someone to simply stand there and admire her knife skills. But my therapist, my ancestors, and basic survival instincts reminded me about boundaries. Also, based on the intensity of that kitchen energy, I'm pretty sure flirting would end with me folded into a dumpling and steamed. So yes, I may return. Not for the spring rolls. For closure. And possibly for the hot chef at the wok station who now lives rent-free in my mind.

I headed over to the Wash location of east side pho and absolutely loved how quick & easy the service is. The menu has a great variety of different foods, I went for the snack size coconut curry noodles. The flavor itself was amazing, had a wonderful mix of green onion, noodle, and chili crisp. It had a good heat to it without being too overly spicy with lots of delicious flavor. This was a relatively small dish, definitely a side but was about $9, I thought this price was a bit steep, I would've thought $5-$6 for the amount you get but overall it was delicious!

Ingredients are fresh and well balanced. Service is window order and you can take out or sit under the seating outside. Ambiance is very casual. Portions feel a tad small. Solid 7/10

We enjoyed a delicious bowl of chicken pho and the ESP salad with chicken -- fresh, crisp, and full of flavor. Although they were out of wonton soup, the pho was just as satisfying. It's a great spot for takeout or outdoor dining, and the staff was very accommodating with our dietary requests. We'll definitely be back to try more dishes -- and explore the other eateries at The Wash!

My girlfriend & I went on (4-1-26) and I can truly say that we had a great experience. The customer service was on point! I'll rate this place a 7.2 out of 10 just simply because their meat could've been more seasoned. They also served one of our meals in a Togo container. I ordered Bun Bo Hue & my girlfriend ordered the Chicken Hai Nam Rice Bowl. Other than that the atmosphere was amazing & we'll most definitely be back! Oh we also had Spicy Mango Rice

The pho was delicious and the spring rolls crunchy. I loved dining on the patio. It started to rain, but it was easy to get under cover.

Went to this spot yesterday and it was average to me. Broth seemed bland with no flavor and they acted like they didn't want to give me another sauce. I'm like it's chillin sauce not like I'm asking for guacamole . Be prepared to sit outside amongst dog hair and cigarette butts.

I'm a sucker for Pho but I'm never on this side of town. When my coworker and I talked about eating lunch someplace new, he found this micro food hall. The name eludes me but I think it was an old car wash and you have these smaller order-only restaurants with outdoor seating. We originally went for a Latin-American restaurant but seeing a Pho restaurant stopped me in my tracks and I ordered from here instead. Granted, I should have known better than to order a hot soup on a Nashville humid, summer day and I paid the price because my shirt was soaked from sweat, but the Pho was so good. I ordered the "Bun Bo Hue", a pork and beef pho chock full of pork shoulder, beef shank, and pork dumplings. Some people may be turned off by the oil slick on top but not me. Bring on the fat. The quantity, as most pho restaurants, was a huge bowl with all the traditional garnishes. My only complaint is that it wasn't salty enough. I guess I could have asked for some salt packets but I didn't. Besides, we could all use a little less sodium in our diet. This place is worth every penny. Although I probably won't go there if the weather is bad, I do need to wait until the weather is a little more tolerable to outdoor dining.

Chicken pho - generous portion, so many garnishes, and so tasty!

Hot take: my favorite things to get here are actually the non-pho items. Don't get me wrong: on a cold day, grabbing a heaping bowl of chicken pho (where I always sub tofu for the chicken meat) can really hit the spot, but the rotating specials and quite frankly one of my all-time favorite salads are my go-to's at this lovely fast-casual spot in East. Part of a micro food hall of sorts, East Side Pho brings the fresh and herby flavors I love in Vietnamese cuisine to anything they do. On a recent day when I didn't eat lunch and came in a bit hangry, I grabbed the new shrimp & pork steamed dumplings with chili oil. Let me just say -- WOW. I actually don't eat pork so had never ordered these before but now I guess I eat pork only when East Side Pho is serving up these dumplings? Literally some of the best dumplings I've ever had. Have gotten them several times since then. The salad is also a real fave - the half is SUPER generous and filling, loaded with herbs, pickled onions, crunchy peanuts, crispy chicken skin. So dreamy and delicious. Also recommend just getting a cup of broth to go for a tasty sipper! My go-to whenever I feel the slightest chance of a sniffle coming in and I'm convinced this broth cures all. Lots of room to sit outside or you can combine with a tasty drink inside at nearby bar Bay 6 (my go-to option!)

Excited to see pho in this side of town. I ordered the beef pho and spicy pork noodles (under not pho). However, the pho was a little bland than what I had hoped for. It has some flavor and the beef was good , but it's not that flavor hitting pho taste so that was a little disappointing. The spicy pork noodles were nonsoupy so it's noodles with their chili peanut sauce and minced pork. This was pretty flavorful and has a little spicy kick to it. I ordered take out so it might not have tasted as good as if I ate it there when it was made fresh! This restaurant is part of the Wash and they have a cute outdoor patio seating but they share it with a few other restaurants. However, parking is super tough because the lot can only fit a few cars and this is for customers from all the restaurants there. I found some street parking a few blocks away.

This is our favorite and most eaten place in all of nashville. We really enjoy it and I always get the beef pho. Yum.

This is like a homemade pho (in the best way). The chicken broth is light and warming. It's my go to pho spot. #1!

The best bubble tea. I had a tea with sticky rice and none dairy milk. I left and came back the same day to get another one. Mmm good.

My wife and I stopped at Little Hats while visiting our daughter in Germantown, and wow, this place…read moredid not disappoint. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan sub, and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken was super tender, packed with flavor, and the sandwich was huge. I only made it through half and ended up eating the rest later that night. It was just as good the second time around. My wife had the Spicy Italian, and she loved it. The sweet pickles on it really made the sandwich stand out and gave it an awesome flavor. The atmosphere was really cool and felt very authentic. They also have a grocery section where you can buy authentic Italian sauces, pasta noodles, and other items, which was a nice touch. The only thing that surprised us was the fountain drinks being $5 each, but they do come in a souvenir cup. If you're looking for an amazing sub sandwich, I highly recommend Little Hats. The food was fantastic, the staff was friendly, and Germantown itself is a great area to walk around and explore. There are tons of cool places nearby. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Nashville. I'd give this a 5 out of 5 stars.

We went to the Germantown location, which has a huge, really nice patio and a bar area. We ordered at the counter and didn't get any drinks, but I definitely want to come back and spend more time checking out the retail section because it looked great. I got the chicken Parm sandwich, and while it was good, I felt like it needed a little more flavor. I'm probably a little picky with Italian delis since I'm from New England and have had some really great options, so my expectations were high. I think I need to try another sandwich next time. My sister got the soup, and it came in a big bowl and was really good. Overall, everything was solid, but I did think it was a little expensive for a takeaway deli. We spent around $40, which felt a little high for what we got. I will definitely come back for the patio. It seemed dog friendly, and I'm always looking for new spots to bring my pup. The atmosphere is great, and I'd like to come back to try more of the menu.
