We're always on the lookout for good doughnut places so we decided to check out Fox & Oak. They specialize in naturally leavened doughnuts and coffee. We dropped in on a Sunday afternoon (around 3:30pm) and it was busy. A small lineup out front but it moves relatively quickly. There's roughly half a dozen tables outside to sit at. Service is friendly and we liked that you don't get pressured when ordering. There was a dozen doughnut flavours along with a small drink menu. We were worried that the selection would be slim given the time we arrived but they had all their flavours and were continuously re-stocking. - 5x Doughnuts - we tried three gluten free flavours (haskap berry, vanilla glazed and chocolate mango) ($2.50 each), vegan apple fritter ($4.00) and maple walnut ($3.50). The gluten free is a cake batter while the regular ones are a brioche or yeasted dough. The gluten free ones were great; a little smaller in size but good texture. Haskap berry was my favourite of the three. B liked that the chocolate mango wasn't too sweet. Vanilla glazed was the sweetest of the bunch. The vegan apple fritter was my least favourite from the five we tried. The texture was different and didn't have that satisfying nature of a regular apple fritter. The maple walnut was decent. Definitely will be back next time we're in town to try more flavours. Give F&O a try! read more

Wow! What an experience. My boyfriend and I came here fiending for coffee and not expecting much. We weren't even planning on getting donuts but the smell upon stepping inside immediately convinced us. The earl grey doughnut was perfectly balanced between earthy and sweet and the lemon blueberry fritter was tart and fluffy and we felt like we could eat 5 more. The only downside is that we have to go home knowing we can't come here every day. read more

These donuts are VERY worth the visit. Food: 5/5. All the donuts are amazing, and the brioche ones, in particular, have a lovely fluffy and buttery texture. All of the flavors I've tried are tasty. Coffee: 5/5. The pour over is well extracted, and I appreciate the bean selection. Service and atmosphere: 5/5. The shop seating area is a modern, clean place to hang out and chat in, though the seating area is crowded. Plan to get cozy with your table neighbors if you go during peak hours. read more

The cafe had a silly line leading out the door. Weird. The doughnuts looked yummy, but were all very different in size. The prices were all uneven too demanding on which one you wanted. Price ranged from $3-5.50 depending on doughnut. I got a very large cinnamon bun that turned out to be a bit stale and dry. They didn't have the any drinks that I typically order at a regular cafe so I didn't order a drink. The employees were not dressed appropriately for their job. These little issues could easily be fixed with better management. The chocolate doughnut was very good. read more

Bright and cheery inside and every seat inside and out occupied! This is a true gem of the cute town of Squamish. I came here for a gourmet assortment of donuts and a coffee. Coffee was good but for someone who loves unique flavors, there wasn't too much creativity to the drinks. The to-go cup was adorable, so modern and different looking! This was a solid good tasting vanilla latte - but I was hoping for more syrup choices. Honestly, it could be limited creativity for drinks on purpose due to not wanting to hinder complimenting their stars - the donuts!! We got an assortment of donuts, my favorite was the mango passionfruit. The glaze was not artificial tasting and donut was not dry. Their donuts are treats and a work of art! My friend and I got way too many donuts for just 2 people and sampled the 6 all for a beautiful box I ended up bringing with me all the way to California. No regrets here, except maybe too many carbs and sugar. All donuts are mostly made with brioche and so it was unique -- a bit chewier and a bit more dense, but also fluffy...can't explain it well. You may just need to try it yourself ;) - Mango Passionfruit -- surprisingly very flavorful and delicious; all the flavors came thru - Cinnamon Sugar and old fashioned cake donut - classic, can't go wrong -Vegan Tahini Caramel - it was very rich and flavorful, but might have been much to have in the morning. Tbh, my tastebuds were confused because of the tahini though. - Blackberry berliner was also very good And I can't remember the last one. My friend also got the chai and myself, an irish bfast tea latte and probs wouldn't recommend. It just tasted like oat milk -- would recommend that you ask that they leave the tea bag in there for any kind of tea flavor. read more

We spent a day in Squamish and one of our must stops was Fox & Oak. Unfortunately with it being a long weekend, they ran out of doughnuts quite early so we will definitely have to be back for them. There was lots of seating outdoors and also some seating indoors and with it being a nice day, decided to hang out outside with our drinks. We got a latte and a cappuccino and we had no complaints at all. Highly recommend! read more

i come here for the food and friendly service. Today the scone wasn't super fresh (and apparently couldn't be warmed up), the cashier was officious after asking me several times about my order, and it just felt rushed and unfriendly on what was otherwise a nice day. Disappointing for a cafe that used to be nicer and with better food. The outside tables had not been bussed. so the ambiance was also not great. Could be that the Fox & Oak is a victim of its past success. I will look elsewhere in Squamish for a cafe next time. read more

Fox & Oak not only has a cute logo and an aesthetically pleasing exterior and interior, but also fantastic coffee, quality matcha and tasty cookies! They're easily my favorite cafe in Squamish to sit and relax at or for a quick grab and go. Their donuts always sell out within minutes so get there early if you're wanting to grab a brioche or cake donut! I love how they have a donut for almost every dietary need and a ton of in unique flavor options for them as well! They definitely have a donut for everyone and anyone. read more

These doughnuts (correct spelling) were worth the line up. We just wanted coffee, but ended up with these baked treats as well, and they were sooo yummy delicious. Coffee and donuts! Love finding new places along the corridor to grab some snacks and a drink to break up the drive home. This spot is on the smaller side with a few seating areas inside (closed due to covid for now), and some covered tables and chairs outside. Lots of coffee accessories and of course, doughnuts available, even later in the day, which was a nice surprise they weren't sold out! Tried a maple and a mango passionfruit donut, as well as a london fog tea latte and americano. I really love the logo, creative reuse and design of certain coffee and holiday decor, the beautiful to-go cups - never seen ones like these with build in insulation, place to hold the cup and was designed so nicely - Almost felt bad throwing it away so soon after drinking it). Drinks were good though tasted a little watered down. Donuts were nice and fluffy, and service was very kind and knowledgeable. Definitely enjoyed the visit and wlll return again. read more

I like the idea of having vegan donuts but maybe personal preference, those flavours didn't appeal to me much so I ended up with the regular maple walnut and took a lactase pill. They also have these super cute dog donuts for a buck each and I thought it was a really nice snack for bringing your dog to the shop with you! The donuts are good (brioche, soft and fluffy) but I didn't think it was amazing and didn't warrant the super long lineups outside. read more

Along our way to Whistler this morning we made sure we made a visit to Fox and Oak as it was highly recommended by a dear friend who also has a sweet tooth for donuts! Even the line up at this place says it all! There was a constant line up throughout the day but they are quick. All the flavours were very unique and gorgeously decorated! And they even have mini dog donuts which we got to spoil our pup a bit for being so patient along the ride! The donuts have a pillowy soft brioche texture. We ordered the Mango Passionfruit + Cherry Berliner + Salted Caramel + Mosh-Mellow. Each flavour was unique in its own way but my favourite is the Mango Passionfruit. It has a very fragrant flavour and a chunky piece of dried mango on top! The Cherry Berline was a very generous in size and it was nice how they made their own jelly filling too but in did find the jelly consistency a little too solid so would opt for the non jelly donuts next time. Definitely a must stopping fulfill your sweet cravings and it is no doubt a local gem in Squamish! read more

The cutest little coffee/donut place! Stopped by here on our way back to Seattle from Whistler. Very aesthetic, you can see them decorating their donuts behind the counter so you know everything is made in house. They even make doggy donuts for your pet! We saw that Fox & Oak recently won the Vancouver Foodster Doughnut Challenge so obviously we had to go check it out. We ordered coffees, the lemon meringue and rocky road doughnuts. Very nice and light brioche doughnut with a generous amount of filling. Found the lemon custard filling a bit runny but tasty nonetheless. Also for the rocky road, the almond in the topping was a wonderful surprise. Never knew I would enjoy almonds with my doughnut. We will be back to try the rest of their flavours! read more
