Yes, but I wanted to fully immerse myself in seaside for half a week by the beach. As always, be sure to check ratings not only on Yelp but also on other sites, weighing the pros and cons. LOCATION: You're just a two-minute walk from the beach, which is the biggest perk! Everything from dining to shopping is within walking distance. The hotel has its own parking lot, but make sure to display your hotel window tag to avoid getting towed. AMENITIES & SERVICE: Every day, there's complimentary coffee and tea available downstairs. The lobby features board games, a small bar, and lounging areas where you can relax or get some work done. Next to the lobby, there's a heated pool (it's a bit smaller than it appears in photos). You can also borrow bikes to explore the town--just ask at the front desk. Room service even sent me a text each morning to check if I needed housekeeping, which was nice. ROOM: We stayed in Room 22, located near the Ashore sign. It had a spacious layout with a king-size bed, perfect for two. The room featured a fireplace with wood, a couple of lounge chairs, a coffee table, a mini fridge (just big enough for small snacks), a TV, and standard hotel bathroom amenities. I appreciated the space, although the walls were a bit thin, so we could hear some noise from our neighbor and the downstairs when people slam the door... My wife booked this place thinking it would be a good experience. There was no help with our luggage. I went inside to ask for help and the person over the counter "Marcus" goes "do you not see the bell carts outside?" After bringing in my bags I'm checking in I mentioned "I'm here to check in" and Marcus says "oh really? You don't say?.... I see you booked this last minute. Very interesting". At this point I'm disappointed with what we're experiencing so I try to just get the room keys and leave this old man to his misery. My wife and the kids decide to check out the heated pool before calling it a night, to their surprise, the pool is freezing cold. And the jacuzzi has a green discoloration and smells horrible. The next morning we grab some toast and make a waffle, the new guy over the counter is just staring at us doing nasty faces. Doesn't say good morning. Nothing. I'm not sure if there's something in the water or it's just a bad place to work, but the vibes here are very negative. If you have the opportunity to stay somewhere else, I would. A few small things: the bottom boards by the deck door had would looked like probably wet mud or dirt there from whenever, there was some food like splatter on the table that has the phone but overall it was nice! I would definitely stay again as it was a clean hotel and it wasn't a ton of traffic. Bonus was parking. The hotel is central to everything so it's walking distance to the stores and the beach.
