What a gem! Great location. Minutes walk to beach and Haystack Rock. Minutes from shops as well. Lobby is cozy and welcoming. Maya was at the desk and was delightful, friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and well appointed. Coffee, hot water and iced water available morning and night in the lobby. The bed was so comfortable too! Definitely a must stay.

We had so much fun here! Clean room (with robes), nice whiskey bar and restaurant downstairs with kind staff, front desk, free salt water taffy was a nice touch. There's parking, and a quick easy walk to the beach! So perfect for our one night stay.

room toilet flooded poop all over outside lights not working Staff impossible, not able to check in till very late

It's very difficult to reach anyone at this hotel if you have any issues. Our room flooded with shit all over and we could not use the bathroom for half the period of time that we were there. Also, the room was not available for check-in until after 4 PM, which is the latest check-in time I've ever experienced at a hotel. The staff was very friendly, but it's almost impossible to reach them to have something resolved. After such a nuisance as the lights not working the smell of poop all over our room the toilet not being usable therefore not being able to use the bathroom for half the period of time that we were there we were promised reimbursements which did not happen. Overall, this is a very cute hotel and the staff is very nice but the management & their website, their ability to answer the phones and respond in a timely manner to issues made our experience somewhat of a nightmare.

Charming New England style hotel a block from the beach and close to town, it's the perfect place for an overnight or week stay. During Covid, they are taking all precautions including delivering breakfast to your room in a basket along with all utensils and a pot of hot coffee. Having been stuck at home for 7 months due to the Pandemic, I really needed a change of scenery. Walking the beach, visiting the shops, taking in the breathtaking views of Ecola State Park, and having dinner out, including adult beverages, is so much easier if you stay overnight. The Cannon Beach Hotel provided everything I needed. Clean room and bathroom, comfy robe, smart TV (watched some movies on HBO) and just a block from the beach and a short walk into town. They even left two chocolate chop cookies and a few pieces of taffy to enjoy. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was preordered when I booked the room and I didn't know what to expect. I was delightfully surprised! A basket was delivered to my door at 8:30am as requested. Inside was a pot of fresh, hot coffee, homemade bran muffins, scrambled eggs, sausage and a potato dish. Everything was delicious. The hotel is old and they have done their best to modernize the bathrooms. I'm all about cleanliness and I found everything cleaned to my standards. Even the remote controls for the tv were sanitized. I'll definitely be back! But probably not in the hot weather as they don't have air conditioning and I can't sleep if it's hot. But that still leaves the majority of the year to stay at this charming little hotel.

The trash area which has trash dump all around it

Room are extremely small. The surrounding area is unkempt. There website is very deceiving of what it actually Looks like and the size of the rooms. There are a lot other places around that are nicer and cost way less.

My husband and I decided to do an overnight getaway and stayed at the main Cannon Beach Hotel. The environment is so welcoming and comforting as soon as you enter the lobby! Staff was very friendly and we appreciated that we were also able to communicate by text. It was a VERY short walk to the beach and Haystack walk and a few blocks from the downtown area, so location was extremely convenient. Our room was very clean and had a nice big fireplace right by the bed. We definitely got the home-y AirB&B vibe from our room rather than the usual hotel aesthetic. We loved it! The only thing we weren't a fan of was the shower.. it was a stand-up shower where the curtain enclosed around you so it was hard to avoid contact with the curtain during the shower (we have a weird thing about that). I know not all the rooms are the same though, so that will be easy to avoid if you try. The provided breakfast was delicious and filling! We meant to just grab a quick bite but ended up getting more than we expected! Coffee/tea/juice-milk, housemade granola for yogurt, hard boiled eggs, a variety of fruit and pastries and bagels, even fresh avocado and other fixings. Breakfast was set up in the adorable cafe right off the lobby. We loved our experience here and will definitely be back when we return to Cannon Beach and pay the little extra to upgrade to a premier room where there's a tub :) Thank you CBH for the delightful stay!

Hi, I was really trying to let this experience go. First let me clarify your comments below. No one was in our room. It was myself, my pregnant wife and our dog. I think you should get your facts straight before making accusations. Our "family member" who stayed at the Cannon Beach Hotel left that review and they had the extra person who they notified your staff of. They were not Asian so maybe you thought they were not family as I outlined below. As for breakfast I was kind and said thank you to your staff. Again I think you need better sources. I'm ok with not staying in your establishments as this again clearly outlines how dishonest your response is without being present and not knowing the full facts. Wish you the best and take care. Thank you This was the worst experience I've had. I called in advance to make sure that pets were accepted and was told yes by the receptionist. Then I went ahead and booked on Expedia way in advance for our 4th of July trip. Then to get a call from the hotel later to tell us that my reservation was cancelled. I spent 3 days with Expedia and this establishment trying to resolve the issue as it was a family trip with other members of the family. I asked what they could do and the only thing they offered was a higher priced room at the full rate or another hotel. Of course I wanted this hotel as family was there. I argued that the room was still available on all the booking websites and why they were telling me to book a more expensive room. After 3 days of me having to call back as they never called me back they finally offered me an the upgraded room. I arrived to find out no pets allowed and the staff was rude about our situation. I asked well I can't leave the dog in the car. They stated it's July. Who would say that about a loved family member who is like 5lbs. Then the owner offered to pay the difference for another hotel. Then they found one of their pet friendly establishment was available and quickly took that statement back. Please see attached for the room they gave to us at full cost. With being compensated a horrible breakfast and the pet fee. They even messed up on the contract and invoice. I'm not one to write a bad review as I try to be the bigger person. But this was really the worst experience I've had. It's sad to see making $ is worth more then the people and their pets. On top of that they had a dog in the restaurant attached to the hotel but we can't have a dog in the hotel? Anyhow this ruined my whole 4th when I should be celebrating the day with family. Just my 2 cents before booking any of their properties.

We stayed here to celebrate our twin birthday...even though the room was small, it was beautifully appointed and well laid out. Our favorite part was free buffet style breakfast in the adjoining cafe with free mimosas and Seid was the best waiter!

My bf and I really enjoyed our experience in this hotel! It's very sweet and cute. Loved the jacuzzi, smart TV, it was clean, and I liked the location. The only concern was finding dust in some spaces in the bathroom, other than that pretty clean. They are doing a great job with accommodating to covid regulations also (:

He greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the property. Every morning he prepared delicious hot breakfast and coffee for us. The refrigerator was fully stocked with water, juice and beer. There was even sparkling wine if you wanted to make mimosas in the morning. The bathroom had a towel rack that can warm/dry your towels before and after shower, which I absolutely loved. Who doesn't like a warm towel after shower? It's a 5-star bed and breakfast because every little detail was put into this place and I can't wait to come back and stay with Rafael the next time I'm in Astoria!

Pam and David are the sweetest and most hospitable hosts, and their B&B truly feels like a cozy home. They collect really fun items, and each room has its own character and its own unique homey decor. The location of the inn is close enough to walk anywhere you would want to go out for dinner, drinks, or shopping. The best part of the inn (besides Pam's breakfasts - which always include the BEST fruit bowls) is most definitely their 13 year old chihuahua, Penny. She often makes an appearance after breakfast and steals the heart of everyone she meets. If you aren't able to use a tub with a shower handle (like the kind popular in Europe) to bathe, then I would suggest getting one of their rooms with a shower/tub combination. I loved having a clawfoot tub to soak in (we stayed in the Rose Room this time) each night while I read and drank a cup of tea. There is usually hot water and teabags or instant coffee available at all hours (freshly brewed coffee is available starting at 7am) on the stairway landing and I took full advantage of that amenity!

RESTAURANT ONLY REVIEW -- SERVICE WITH A SLAP…read more I was invited out by my parents for my birthday dinner with bf and bff in tow. You'd think I was still a teenager because I wasn't consulted or asked where I wanted to go, what I wanted to eat, etc. We end up at Kendra's. First of all, I thought were going somewhere "nice." This dining room looked like a diner, not a dining room. Tacky table cloths like you put on a picnic table, very low key. Inside seating and outside seating with a view. When we arrived the server was yelling at the cook and I'm like, oh geez here we go! The same server, naturally, comes to serve us and she is nastier than an alley cat who just had her food taken away. She did settle down during the dinner. I was able to order what I wanted, the halibut that has raves here. It was merely passable . . . overcooked, the twice baked potato was awful and I don't remember the veggies. I think it came with a salad and that was the only good thing in the dinner. The drinks that they offer were limited, forget it on the wine, she didn't even know what Prosecco is when I asked. I had a huge Mojito and thank goodness, that made my night. Because my Dad (yet again!) ordered dessert without asking me, we got the deep dish baked cookie pan, 2 for the table with mounds of ice cream. Again, okay, not great. At what I saw the prices, this would have had to be great in California to last as a resto. Maybe it's slim pickins in Oregon, but I don't think this is a great place at all, esp. since the server was very rude in the beginning but got better later on. ~Ms. Ali
