We stayed as a team for a weekend of youth basketball. If you enjoy board games and BYO wine in the lobby/communal areas after 9pm, I would recommend staying else where. They have a strict no alcohol policy at any time in their lobby, as they have a bar where you can purchase cocktails. Apparently, OLCC prohibits them from allowing patrons to enjoy their own adult beverages outside of what they serve. It felt very buttoned up, and not family friendly. read more

I paid almost $800 for 2 nights here and after traveling for over 12 hours expected to come and have a peaceful place to rest. Instead, our shoes immediately got stuck to the floor and I noticed crumbs and hair everywhere...like literally everywhere. They failed to clean the floors and the room smelled like a wet dog. It was clear they do not pride themselves here in providing clean rooms to their guests. When I informed them that the room was dirty they acted shocked and sent someone from the night crew to mop it. He was the only saving grace that night (Dario) I think his name was. After spending a night there feeling itchy, I realized the room was most likely hardly ever deep cleaned. In a place that offers pet friendly rooms, they should really be more careful of the cleanliness and hygiene issues giving people dirty rooms. Ours had spots like a dog had peed and it had not been cleaned. I ran a wet towel on the floor to confirm and I was right. It was the worse stay. I felt like everything was dirty. I asked if there were other rooms where pets had not been and was told they were sold out. I was stuck and only stayed because it cost me a lot of money. The entire time I was there I felt disgusted. The patio on the lower levels is also useless and offers no privacy as all hotel guests show up to the grass area to let their pets use it as a restroom. This hotel advertises itself as a luxury place and it is far from it. They are a scam. Stay away from here. You can't even sit on the patio chairs because they are filthy too. read more

Recently we booked a room at Rivertide Hotel in Seaside. But due to unforeseen medical circumstances we were unable to make the trip. We had made a non refundable deposit, that they waived after learning of our misfortune. This would have been our third time staying at this location, and every time it has been a pleasure. The staff is amazing, location is soothing, and rooms are spacious and clean. I would recommend the Rivertide to anyone staying in Seaside. Hotel amenities and Kendra give this place some stars. Front desk attendant Debbie removes some stars. She seemed genuinely confused by the computer system, taking 15 minutes just to finish checking us in. Later when my boyfriend tried to pick out a wine, she said "ugh, ewww. I don't even drink the stuff." Odd thing to say when you want to advertise a wine bar at your business. Hopefully she doesn't turn away too many more customers. read more

Very clean and comfortable room with good amenities and a nice balcony overlooking the Necanicum River. The front desk receptionist was fantastic-- friendly, kind, helpful and efficient. The bed was comfortable and the cotton linens crisp. Lots of pillows. Location is great, close to everything in downtown and very walkable. Overall this is a good value and very safe. Minor improvements could be made in the breakfast bar, which was somewhat sparse. Otherwise, this is a solid choice with friendly service. Oh-- and pet friendly, which is a bonus! read more

The room was very nice. There were a few minor things that could be pointed out: the remote was missing the battery cover, there were some scuffs on the walls that could use some touch-up. Reception was warm and welcoming. We originally intended to bring our dog, but opted not to. It was no hassle getting the pet fee removed. When we got into our room, we were impressed to see a full kitchen including a dishwasher and decently appointed dishes. The couch wasn't very comfy. No biggie though, we weren't hanging out there. The pool was small, so we waited for it to clear out some before the kids swam. The hot tub was out of order. The jetted tub was big and the jets worked well. The front desk had a scavenger hunt for Seaside with a little gift for the kids. The bed was uncomfortable though. Breakfast left a little to be desired. Continental style. Cereal, bagels, milk, almond milk, oranges and dry little muffins. The only thing my husband could eat were the hard boiled eggs as he's low carb. Overall, it was decent. We were gifted a one-night stay gift certificate. However, the price per night would have been $349. I can't say it would have been worth that much. read more

I have read some of the reviews but tried to see if things have changed since some of the reviews were old. we checked in and had a king suite facing the mountains when actually you are facing the parking lot and stores with the mountains in the back. The room had stains on the couch, the carpet in the hallways was filthy, we had food in the refrigerator that was from whomever were the last guests who stayed in the room. the fireplace was electric and a joke. the bed was extremely uncomfortable and we were afraid to pull the sheets back to look at the mattress condition. there was damage to the walls. we were charged $500/night and this hotel should be ashamed to charge that much for a room that was maybe worth $100. the hotel had one elevator that was slow, one elevator for a hotel that could house over 500 guests. We came to River-tide Suites in 2019 and had a great time! The same goes for our most recent stay over the weekend. I booked through booking.com and was pleasantly surprised with the prompt and friendly welcome message from River-Tide. They called the morning of our expected stay to confirm our estimated arrival time, the employee spoke quickly, but was very friendly and helpful. We arrived about 6:30pm and were glad to see an available ADA parking spot. (Don't let the flies outside fool you, I think it's just a product of being in a beach environment) Check in was very quick, they will need your license plate number so bring that inside to safe yourself a walk of shame to and from your car. Our room was located on the 4th floor and there is only one elevator, so as long as you aren't in a hurry to/from your room to the lobby you are fine! We splurged on a 1brm suite with a river view for the night. It did not disappoint! The view was STUNNING at sunset. You can even see a sliver of the ocean if you are lucky to have a room that is across from a road leading to the beach, which we did. The room was clean, very well laid out for 3 people with plenty of seating for all. The full kitchen made our door dash dinner very easy to enjoy. There was 1 blanket and two pillows in the closet of the bedroom for the pull out bed, we called the front desk for an extra blanket and one was brought to our room about 20 minutes later, great service! We loved the large dining table, was perfect for the board games and uno that we brought with us. The pool was on the smaller side and full of children, but the teenager in our group was able to snag a small corner for a bit of pool time. Pool hours were 9am-9pm...It definitely deterred us using it ourselves with the amount of kids packed inside, but it did look like they were having a blast. We didn't partake in using the new bar, though it looked nice last night. And we didn't eat breakfast, it was a tad chaotic when we peeked in with families trying to corral their little ones to eat their cereal. Checkout took all of 30 seconds, the ladies at the desk were very friendly! :) Overall we will definitely be back next time we venture to Seaside! I highly recommend for families, or those traveling with children in their group. Overall a solid 4 stars, and we will return! Suggestions to get 5 stars from me(but not deal breakers): - Have adult only pool hours (maybe 9pm-10:30pm?) - Some Furniture might need an update soon, our couch had a large stain on one of the pillows and the bed wasn't as cozy as I had remembered in 2019. - Have vending machines on higher floors that accept card payment. read more

Do not stay here. The pictures on their site look great the reality is completely different. I booked a king bedroom suite with River view. The lobby and carpet are old and smells of humidity. When I got to my room it was not what I booked. The River view was of the Holiday inn parking lot. When I went down to tell them this is not what I booked, they claimed they had "upgraded" me to this room with 2 beds. And insisted the room had a River view. The lady at the front desk even went with me to the room to prove me that if I opened this tiny window I could see the River. Or if I went out to the balcony I could see the corner of the River. Really? Turns out they were out of rooms and this was the last room left. So they decided not to honor my reservation and most likely gave my room to someone else. Since it was late we had no other option but to stay. We couldn't wait to get out of there the next morning. The carpet and the sofa in the living room are old and stained. The manager never had time to meet with me, so she sent the supervisor to give us a 15% discount. The best joke is the room was almost $400. I've stayed at the Ritz with the view of the ocean for that rate! Don't waste your money. Down the street there's a much nicer hotel which we found the next day called the Kathryn Riverfront Inn. Rooms are way nicer and you actually get a view of the River. Oh and service was outstanding!! read more

This place was a real gem. Too bad we only had one night here on our coastal road trip. Great room. Clean, granite surfaces. Washer and dryer in room. Nice amenities. Beer / Wine / Cheese and cracker social hour was a nice bonus. Only had Blue Moon, but better than nothing. Easy to walk from the hotel to the ocean promenade. No bikes allowed in rooms, so I had to secure our bikes on the car and move the car a couple times until I was comfortable with the security of my location. I understand why no bikes, the rooms are so nice, you don't want a bike banging into things, but a secure room or bike rack in the entry would be nice. read more

This is a really nice hotel. They have all the amenities that I look for when booking a week long stay away from home. The kitchen was stocked with plates, utensils, pots/pans, glasses, cups, microwave, coffeemaker, etc. The bathroom had two sinks and a jetted tub. The separate living area had a queen size sofa bed. It wasn't very comfortable, but nobody complained. Our room also had a fireplace and a set of washer/dryer. The staff offers free laundry detergent. Our room had a seating area outside overlooking the river. The grass outside was luscious and lovely to look at IF the dog owners were considerate enough to pick up after their dogs. On our last day there, a boxer was pooping right outside our terrace with nobody to clean up after him. On one occasion, I did see a hotel staff member picking up poop on the lawn. The kids enjoyed the pool, but it gets easily crowded in there, just like the continental breakfast in the mornings. Speaking of breakfast, the hotel has quite a spread. There is a waffle maker which is very popular, yogurt, frozen blueberries, shredded cheese, whipped cream, cereal, bread slices, bagels, muffins, omelet, oatmeal on some days, warm biscuits/grits on others. From 5 pm to 6, the dining area fills up with guests relishing in the afternoon snack of cheese/crackers, grapes, sweet treats, wine, soda, water or juice. The Crow's Nest on the rooftop is a nice place to chill and we did just that on afternoons, granted we were free. Just outside the dining area, guests are welcome to use the BBQ grill. We utilized the gym which had one stationary bike, an elliptical, two treadmills, a set of weights, and a multi-task gym equipment. Next to the front desk is a cozy living room space. There they offer DVD's for rent, games, and books. The hotel lobby provides self service coffee, tea, hot chocolate, hot apple cider 24 hours a day. Upon our check in, an older lady working as the hotel desk clerk asked for my credit card. I handed her a Visa and she quickly made a point that I used a Mastercard when I reserved the room. I therefore handed her my Mastercard without being flighty. She said either card will work. I told her she can use whichever one and she snapped at me that she was only asking me which credit card I wanted to use...so which one??? I was confused as to how this was becoming an issue. She then turned her attention to the lady checking in beside me to strike a conversation with her as she finished my transaction. Not quite the welcome reception I expected. Aside from this encounter, the other hotel desk receptionists were attentive and friendly. On our third day here, I woke up itching my legs and right foot. I found a couple of bites, but thought nothing of it. The next day, upon waking up, my son was scratching his neck so I immediately assessed what was causing the irritation. I discovered two bites on his neck and one on his shoulder. That same morning, I found another bite on my left foot. My husband thought they were flea bites, and I shuddered at that thought. We did not have any pets with us. I would like to think that our room was cleaned diligently and thoroughly. Not sure what or where those bites came from, but I know for certain the bites occurred overnight. We applied a hydrocortisone cream to appease the annoying itching. We've stayed at other pet friendly hotels before (which this one is if not already obvious), and never had this happen to us. Overall an average stay. read more

Family of 4 plus one dog: We stayed here for two weekday nights during spring break and it cost about $400 total. Roughly $100 of that is taxes and pet fees. It was $30 extra per night for a dog. Our room had a queen bed and a pullout queen sofa bed, full little kitchen, dining table, balcony, washer dryer, jetted tub in shower. Kitchen was stocked with basic cooking supplies, 4 burner stove, oven, dishwasher, toaster, coffee pot, microwave, full size refrigerator. It is just a 5 min walk to the main attractions of seaside on broadway street. About 10min walk to ocean. It is riverfront, many rooms face the river, but not all. They have a little pet area on side and the grass stretches across the whole front of the hotel. They had a kid scavenger hunt and when the kids completed it they gave them candy. Small indoor pool and hot tub. I never went in but my family did. Small cold breakfast options...bagels, oatmeal, scones, cereal, hard boiled eggs, fruit, lots of condiment type options for them, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, OJ. Space to eat there or to take back to room since you have a toaster and stove in the room! They had a little lobby bar in evening but never attended plus lots of lobby seating. Board games to check out. Dog cookies and poop bags available 24/7. Overall, we had a good experience and would stay here again. Any place that is dog friendly I do not expect to be super high end. It is not spotless and luxury but it is also not filthy. Our room was clean and the linens too. Only complaints I have- my family asked 3 times for pool towels and waited a long time for them and they never came. They had to walk back to room wet and cold because they were told they would bring them to the pool area but never did. Front staff was hit and miss on helpful and friendliness. The blanket provided in the room for the pull out bed was a very small very thin blanket. (Queen bed had nice fluffy comforter on it.) I asked for another one and was questioned about what was already in the room. When I was given another one it ended up being a fitted mattress pad. So I had to go back again for another. But then I was given a huge king comforter so that was great. Elevator is slow. read more

Thought we would try this place as we come to seaside often with family. Most likely will not be staying here again. Although the staff was very friendly, the beds were uncomfortable, there was no instructions or guidance as to where anything was or worked, also upon asking for an extra hour at check out they didn't even consider and I was told "we didn't offer late check outs". I can understand if it's busy and they are not able to, but just as a blanket policy at a place charging 200 plus a night (not summer season) that's just not good customer service. Plenty of other places to stay in seaside and at this price we could have a ocean view. 2 months later, I still do not have the credit card refund. I checked my credit card account several times. I took Groupons word I would get my money back after much time and energy with back and forth disagreement. While Groupon holds the money, yes, the inn is equally as responsible because they made it so very difficult from the start. Had they made it easier, it would have been resolved sooner. The inn employee, Whitney, told me not to worry, she will have her supervisor call Groupon and refund me. When I emailed the supervisor Christine, she did not say she approved the refund. She instead just pointed fingers at me, talking about the rules and how Groupon was right to not refund me, then pointed at Groupon saying it was up to them. Groupon of course also blamed me for canceling in the first place, and indicated it was the inn's decision. I can't believe I am still fighting this $71.40. If I was paid per hour for the time I worked on this, I would be getting a fraction of minimum wage. I will have to write a Groupon review as well as they still have my money. Please watch out for even more advantage takers during the pandemic, they are everywhere, even what appear to be reputable businesses do not put our safety first. I feel it's an easy way for Groupon to take funds and not provide a service. (don't worry, it won't hurt my feelings if you mark any of my sad reviews as funny! The room was great, loved being able to cook family meals while on vacation. Marvelous view of the river and the beach in the distance. Having two bedrooms and two bathrooms was perfect for our family and privacy. The rooftop area presented superb views! So much potential for using that space in the summer time. Breakfast was hot and offered a good variety. Location is just fine for walking to town and exploring nearby restaurants. Only downside was the pool was very cold and the hot tub was filthy. Stayed in 2 bedroom suite for a women's retreat so we had quite a large group. The 2 bedroom suites are very spacious and nice. 2 full bathrooms. King sized bed in master bedroom. The master bath has shower and jetted tub. The 2nd bedroom has queen bed. Full kitchen. Nice living room sitting area with hide-a-bed coach. Nice balcony. Washer and dryer in the unit. We had a river facing room and the view was beautiful. We used the meeting rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors and also had a hotel-catered meal, which was very good. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Only cons: continental breakfast is very basic. Not much to it. Opted to go out to coffee and get breakfast elsewhere. Would have been nice to at least have pastry options. Also - at catered dinner we were told we had to save our dinner plates to use for dessert. I checked in with Debbie and she was absolutely wonderful! We got a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite and it was just beautiful. The rooms were so nice and clean. We had a full on kitchenette along with a washer and dryer. It's straight up like a condo. The views are so pretty. We were in room 419 and got 2 different views. 1 from the balcony and 1 from the master bedroom. We loved it so much we decided to extend our stay with Whitney. Although the suite is sold out for the night Whitney from the front dress made our transition to our next room East for us as possible! During the crazy time that we are living now with Covid19 you truly see the true act in kindness in people. It's really all about the little things so Thanks again entire staff! I am really disappointed about this place. Paid almost $500 for two nights. I expected a better place for that amount of money. First, there is a kitchenette. When we got there there was stuff in the dishwasher still, which we didn't know if it was clean or not, so I washed some items by hand since we needed utensils and they were in the dishwasher. The shower curtain liner was absolutely disgusting. It was riddled with pink and black mold. When we checked out I mentioned this to the person at the front desk and he kind of apologized, but he mentioned he was a new employee. The housekeeping manager was behind him and instead of apologizing, she excused the maid saying that it is humid and there's no control over the mold on the curtains. I was pretty disappointed by that response. The rooms, even though we were on a second floor, were not insulated enough to prevent noise from being heard inside. And I am talking about people walking on the streets, and even worse, the children running all over the place, which I know the hotel does not have control over. Another thing, which in part is my fault for not reading more closely about the hotel amenities, was that the Wi-Fi is $10 per stay. Most hotels have free Wi-Fi, and I don't justify having to pay $10 for a couple of nights. One good thing is that it is conveniently located, close to different attractions and close to the beach (within walking distance). Although, I don't think I want to go back to that hotel. read more

I really wish I could leave a better review of this hotel, as it has the potential to be a perfect place to stay. The rooms are basically like a condo, complete with washer and dryer and a fully stocked kitchen. The problem is that the rooms we've stayed in (2 years in a row) have been filthy. I've literally had to go to the nearby Safeway store and buy supplies to clean both times before the rooms were even habitable. The floors were sticky, the countertops were dirty, the tub and toilet had what I assume was urine and various body hairs on/ in them, and the dishwasher still had dirty dishes in it from the guests who stayed there before us. Family members who stayed in another room at this same hotel found sand in their beds when they spent their first night and had no working air-conditioning. They were moved to another room the next day, and one family member discovered a small bug crawling across the sheets. Housekeeping and the manager came up to assess whether it could have been a bed bug, but as of now, have not contacted my relative to say whether it was or wasn't. I will not be staying at Rivertide Suites again and advise people to be aware of the lack of attention paid to the cleanliness of the hotel. read more

Everything we said earlier is pretty much still true, but two things amazed me on our recent stay. First, the hodgepodge of remotes is a pain in the neck. There is no excuse for this. Sensible management would start buying universal remotes and assign an employee to find one that can be made to work with TV, cable, and the DVD player--and then standardize on it. There is no excuse for having cable that won't pull up the guide. Petty things? For what you pay to stay here, they are not petty. More concerning, and has seriously damaged our view of the staff: A front desk employee not bothering to wear their mask correctly, and not correcting someone not wearing theirs right in the lobby area. I got the impression it was a local and a friend of theirs. That's no excuse. Here's what's the big deal: While some guests are jerks and idiots about the mask thing, most actually abide by the policies like decent human beings. How does it feel to do that, and then see that someone on the staff is just too important to wear theirs correctly, or correct someone in the lobby area? Feels like a big middle finger. We are going to look into other options for our next trip to the coast. read more

Had a great stay here. As someone mentioned, the parking lot is small, but we didn't have a problem parking and we were here for a few days after Christmas. And even if there was a problem, there is street parking nearby overnight. And also as mentioned, there were a lot of people in the main area until about 11pm, but even though our room wasn't that far from it, we didn't hear much noise after 9pm. Actually more like 8pm. The suites are nice, could use a few more towels when you come in and some paper towels, and was clean. Staff is friendly too. read more

We had a really wonderful stay here. We were so happy with everything. Parking, location, staff, cleanliness, and breakfast. The suite we had was massive, and the view from our terrace was beautiful. They had some painting refurbishing going but it was over in the early afternoon and started later morning after checkout so was really not bad. The room not only was the size of an apartment but it had a jacuzzi tub where my evening was spent relaxing. We walked to the promenade and had dinner at sunset (try Maggie's on the Prom, we loved it) and walked back. I actually preferred being back from the ocean a little at Rivertide because it was quieter. read more

All the staff was very nice and talked to us. Great complimentary breakfast. Books and dvd player in the room. Great well stocked kitchen and plenty of chairs. Nice tv with plenty of channels. Balcony and great view. Washer and dryer with soap included. Overall a very homey feel, very comfortable. Cons: The bed dipped in the middle. Annoying crowded elevator. Annoying crowded parking lot. Lots of kids running around being rude/loud No blow dryer in the bathroom. No HBO or Showtime on tv There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we got here. (Gross) Overall it was a good experience and we enjoyed our stay. We were really comfortable and this hotel provided great hospitality to us. I would recommend staying here, especially if your here for several days because the kitchen and washer/dryer come in handy. read more

This was definitely a pleasant surprise. I would give it 4 1/2 stars if I could. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. The rooms are large with full kitchens including range, oven, microwave, dishwasher. They even have cooking pots and pans, knives, plates. The place. Is clean and well kept. Still seems pretty new, like they had a recent renovation. Even the furnishings in the bathroom seem higher end. Like the ?nickel? Bathtub faucets and shower heads. The tub is extra large and has jets. I went during the week and got a 1 bedroom suite for under $160! Awesome. It's right across the street from some really good Mexican food. The free breakfast and managers reception are just ok but it's free so can't complain too much. The few minor cons. $10 a day for wifi.... Hate the nickel and diming from hotels..... It's also 3 blocks from the beach. It's definitely quieter because of that but it's a long 3 block walk to the beach. Can be quite a walk if dragging kids and large load of beach toys, food, etc. Will definitely be back in the future. Maybe a large extended family gathering? read more

After I had to walk out from the disgusting comfort inn and suites choice hotel across the street (see my review on them), after I told rivertide suites about my experience they felt bad & gave me my first night free! Just out of hospitality. To top it off, the rooms, the view, the customer service, the crows nest, the amenities are better than what I've received at 5 star hotels elsewhere, even in big cities like Seattle. I liked it so much, I added on an additional night for a 3 night retreat :-) read more

We've stayed here numerous times but our favorite time was last Christmas. What a nice idea to get a one bedroom suite for a few days over Christmas. We spent Christmas day in the suite making Christmas dinner which consisted of a small turkey and all the fixings. The trash cans in the rooms were rather small but the one housekeeper on duty on Christmas asked if we wanted service and she took care of us on that day. It was nice to have a quiet place to spend Christmas. We spent the next day walking around Seaside and took in a movie. What a nice place to stay, like having your own condo at the beach. The condos are well stocked with dishes and pans. I found that I had to run the dishwasher daily to keep clean dishes. I would bring some paper towels and napkins to use while you're there as there is just a couple of dish towels (which they change daily but if you need napkins it's not enough. The pool has a bit too much cholorine in it, which I understand but it's really over powering. It's not kept very warm either. The hot tub is a bit more to my liking but still a lot of cholorine. I haven't tried the breakfast downstairs yet but I plan to do that in the future. I look forward to our next stay. read more
