I've never stayed here but I did have a drink at their bar and spent a bunch of time hanging out in their outdoor area, which were both fantastic. The drink was maybe the best Negroni I've ever had. The outdoor area is beautiful with a ping pong table, large Jenga, bocce ball court, and a bunch of great seating. Definitely recommend checking it out for a chill afternoon/evening. read more

My stay at the Four Seasons was great! The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom had plenty of counter space and the shower was roomy! The grounds of the Four Seasons are very pretty. They have a great bar in the center of their lobby with plenty of seating nearby, as well as outside on their patio. The patio was my favorite part, which overlooked the lake. It also had hanging lights with flowers on them everywhere! There were also rocking chairs to sit in amongst the other chairs and couches. The staff was fantastic! Concierge was extremely helpful for a few things that I needed during my stay, including printing documents and shipping boxes. I was there for a retreat that I planned for my company. The behind the scenes staff that helped me in the planning were great as well! Everything went smoothly from start to finish and were always on site to make sure I had what I needed. read more

Amazing luxury hotel in the heart of Austin. Note: Didn't pay for the stay so no commentary on the actual value. The Four Seasons Austin is an institution as far back as I can remember in Austin when it was the only luxury hotel in town. Located right next to the river, overlooking the congress street bats as well. A bit off from dining or other drinking venues, but downtown austin isn't big enough that a 10 minute walk can't get you to where you want to go. The lobby itself is impressively luxurious, opening onto a grand bar, seating areas, and then check in areas tucked away. The service is impeccable, from the valet at the front to the front desk. Definitely the 5 star feel. The room itself is very well appointed, luxurious bedding, heavenly bed, large sitting area. Doesn't really have a great work desk which is an issue for business travelers, but perfect for vacation. Great complimentary coffee and tea selection. Bathroom is also very well appointed, shower pressure is amazing, and very large bathroom. The rest of the property is also amazing. Lobby bar is great, nice restaurant and outdoor patio overlooking the river, and easy access to a running trail. Very highly recommended. read more

The Winter Warmer A-Tea-X - Afternoon Tea Experience is seasonal, Sep 25 2025 thru Jan 4 2026, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm It's $78 pp You do need to make your reservation well in advance when they open up. This year, we reserved for Friday Jan 2nd. And unfortunately, our server was a bit rushed and not as friendly. It seemed very transactional and not the great experience we've had in prior years. The mini sandwiches were ok, but the bread was dry as if it has been sitting out too long. You get 1 of each of the 4 sandwiches. The sweets were delicious. Especially the mini scone and cheesecake. The tea was ok, not hot enough and the loose leaf was all in my cup, I couldn't even finish it. Overall it was an ok experience this year. What made it great, I got to spend the time with my dear friend! We'll be back next year and hoping for a better experience! read more

Came here for the Ice Rodeo at 6pm and so beautiful! I would have given five stars because of the hot chocolate drink didn't get replaced on a timely manner. Otherwise, the hot apple cider was good. We didn't rent the cabanas was early to get a table. We got charcuterie board and s'mores kit and hit the spot! The skating shoes were well maintained. I've got really rough and needed re smoothing after an hour. Nice area to walk around and the cabanas are great for bigger group. I had not visited Four Seasons in several years. Driving up the entrance with all the beautiful trees made a strong positive impression. Then the valet was attentive, indicating where we should come to and check the car. Friendly and nice. The staff - each one - was friendly and nicely groomed. We ate downstairs and when we requested a change in table (we wanted outside where it was quieter), our request was honored - no problem. The food was just delicious and the wait staff was polite, responsive, and friendly. I had a marvelous time! I look forward to enjoying a drink at the lobby bar in the near future. read more

Go to Ice Rodeo!!! Had the most AMAZING time at the Four Seasons Ice Rodeo. I'd recommend going a slightly chilly day to make it feel extra Christmasie and get a cabana to sit by the fire and roast some marshmallows for s'mores. The holiday lights and decor are stunning and beautiful. My favorite drink was the Floral Elixir. I'm not huge on sweet drinks and this was made perfectly. Also you have to get out on the ice rink. I hadn't skated since I was a kid and slowly, but surely it comes back to ya lol had the best time! Thank you Four Seasons. read more

Four Stars for $ Four Seasons! They used to be top dog in Austin as the place to stay for luxury. Everything in Austin has changed including choosing your place to stay. My earliest memories of Austin were a cute little roadside motor hotel and a plate of tex mex. Slow pace and liberal attitudes. That Austin is gone and evolved into a dynamic, cosmopolitan vibrant 24/7 city catering to all manner of desires. Cheap hotel got it. Strataspheric over the top hotel got it. If all the choices are making you dizzy while planning your Austin getaway, default to Four Seasons. The first time I stayed they hooked me by serving strong drinks poolside, in the strong sun! They are still doing that while providing knock your socks off service and comfort. Stay here while looking around for your next fabulous place to stay. read more

I need to get through my backlog of Yelp reviews, so I thought I'd start with this hotel, which is the last place I stayed away from home before all of this hit the fan! I was here for conference and enjoyed everything about it. The location is pretty good. It's right on the river trail so if you want to get out for a run or walk, it's super convenient. It's also near the bat bridge and if you sit outside during the times the bats fly, you get a good view. It's also not too far from the entertainment areas downtown. If you're from NYC like me and you're used to walking everywhere, it's an easy walk. Others who are from less walkable areas took Ubers the several blocks to the dining and entertainment venues. The lobby smells really good and every staff member was courteous, professional and welcoming. Check in was easy. There was usually flavored water by the elevator, which I loved! My room was comfortable and clean and had a great river view. There was a big horse mural on a glass wall by the bathroom which was weird, but that was the only drawback. The bed was super comfortable. The conference areas on the lower level were nice and they always had a good assortment of snacks and drinks. Temperatures were maintained at reasonable levels (none of the way too cold or boiling hot you might have experienced in other venues). One night while I was there I didn't feel great and had Grub Hub deliver a soup and sandwich to me. That was easy to do and was quicker and cost less than half of what room service would have run me. I liked this place and I'd be happy to stay there again....especially if someone else was footing the bill! read more

5/5 stars for a wedding we attended at the Four Seasons last weekend. The wedding was elegantly done, food was very good and plentiful. The staff were attentive and friendly. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were in the lower part of the hotel. Spacious, clean, the restrooms on the lower level were so clean I bet you could have eaten off the floor (and I've never said that about a hotel). The food served during the cocktail hour (risotto balls, salmon sliders, mac 'n cheese, lobster grilled cheese bites, beef wellington bites, spread of veggies and hummus, as well as our main entrees were tasty. I assume the quality of this food spills over into the rest of the hotel. We had pre-ceremony drinks in the main bar. Bartenders and waitstaff were very friendly there, too. When we left at the end of the night it sounded like the bar may have had live music happening, but we didn't stay to check it out. Can't speak to what the hotel rooms looked like or how much they go for per night --- I would assume they're similarly priced, or more expensive than the Fairmont (where we stayed). read more

Okay okay okay. I'm a local and a fan and I've been hanging out at the Four Seasons for years. I finally decided to share two important sikkrits. Say you want to watch the bats fly out from under Congress Bridge but you're lazy and tired or your schedule is simply hyper-social and you haven't time. Simply schedule drinks at the upstairs patio bar around bat time, and they ... will fly right past you. Yes, it's one of Austin's best-kept secrets. One caveat... this needs to be happening between March and August and on years when it hasn't rained a ton, because the bats tend to wait until dark if they don't have to forage too hard for bugs. Sikkrit #2: The brunch at Trio on Sundays is DIVINE. A buffet that every living soul will enjoy. I won't share my other Four Seasons sikkrits cause I'm selfish :) read more

A couple of times a year we visit their lobby bar, the Live Oak, for great people watching, wonderfully crafted cocktails, and always their Prime Burger. Service, as you would expect, is top notch. And their cocktails are perfectly mixed. The Prime Burger, IMHO, is the best in Austin. I requested medium rare and it was served perfectly. Plus 1's medium well arrived with just a hint of pink, which is perfect for her. I believe the house-made bun perfectly complements the burger as does the caramelized onions & heirloom tomatoes. Sweet potato fries rounded out our early dinner. I would be remiss if I did not mention their perfectly mixed martinis and blue cheese olives. read more

It's a Four Seasons, so it's obviously going to be nice. But it's usually twice the price of newer hotels that have nicer buildings with better views like the JW Mariott, Hilton, or Fairmont. The service here is better than at any of those other hotels, but I don't really go to hotels for the service, so it's not worth an extra $300 to $400 a night for me. YMMV. I stayed Thanksgiving weekend. My room was beautiful. It had a balcony overlooking the lake. The morning nature walks were very relaxing and beautiful. The hotel service was poor. The food was not properly warm, Salad was soaked in dressing and therefore it was soggy. The Spa was terrible! I never relaxed the entire 80 minutes. The therapist hands were cold! The room was chilly, I asked the therapist "are you cold"? She said yes. This was the worse spa I ever had. After the session, I left immediately. The four seasons in Nevis is truly 5-star. I also recently stayed at The Ritz Carlton in Charlotte and it was 5-star. read more

This was the place we got married years ago and today still very elegant and luxurious. We were here today for a SXSW 2018 event and greeted as we entered the lobby. Apparently they are slowly renovating this hotel to keep up with the newer upper scale hotels in downtown Austin. If you did not know you would not even notice it was going on. One of the major upcoming is redoing the pool area. After talking I headed to my event which was located outside sort like the backyard of the hotel. The landscaping was perfect and awesome view of Lady Bird Lake. The staff here was very professional and made me feel welcomed. This hotel during the holidays has a yearly tradition of creating themed gingerbread houses. And even had special events for every holiday in the year. As we left the event the hotel concierge thanked us as we headed out. This is definitely in the best top three hotels in Austin. read more

I had long forgotten what great customer service looked like, but then I ventured into the Four Seasons Austin. Before I even went in a bellman assisted me and greeted me cordially. I was early (11am), check in is normally at 3pm they allowed me to store bag and offered me access to the business center. The one tiny issue I had was that the business center could use a refresh and at the time none of the outlets inside it were working. I was easily able to find a quiet corner to sit and give a webinar. The staff was lovely and incredibly accommodating. I enjoyed the food. The guacamole station we had was excellent and breakfast was tasty. I gave them five stars because the beds were so amazingly comfortable and they have twice daily maid service. So if you were to say fall asleep accidentally for an hour then leve your room, when you came back in the evening your bed would be made. :) read more

Fabulous hotel!!! The lobby area is understated but the display of fresh flowers daily was amazing!! At the bank of elevators in the lobby there's plenty of spa water and coffee...a nice touch! The lobby bar is small but plenty of seating around the bar. Oh and before I forget, the drinks are well made...especially if you like them in the hard side!! Very good selection of wines...only negative was Malbec was fair but Pinot Grigio was smooth and delicious!! On to the rooms...OMG!!! The bed was comfy with lots of great pillows! All the lights dim in the room too! Very spacious room and bathroom. The towels feel like what I have at home...soft, not your typical hard, thin hotel towels. Nice touch with robes and flippers! Amenities were very nice. The service is unbelievable! Coworker had issue with room and service recovery was phenomenal. Housekeeping was great...room was very clean and they replenish your bottled water later in day. Finally, the white noise machine on nightstand was a great touch!! Best sleep with it on and do amazing I bought the exact same one on Amazon!! read more

I really love the calm and kind atmosphere of this beautiful hotel. One of the biggest assets of this location is the gorgeous walkways along Lady Bird Lake. The trees, plants, and lovely places to sit, talk, and enjoy nature right in the middle of the city, make this place worthwhile. Another little local secret I'd love to share, is that this is a wonderful place to come and eat an anniversary dinner or any other special occasion for dinner, or even just dessert. It's hard to find wait staff that are as attentive as the wait staff are here. It's a rare treat, makes you feel like you are valued as much as a precious gemstone. read more

The Austin hotel was no different from what I've come to expect from this par excellence chain of establishments. Unfortunately, while I was at the Austin Four Seasons Hotel last year, it was under construction and unable to view all the common areas, bars, and restaurants. For that reason, I've left open the possibility of adding another star when I return next summer to visit my son in Austin, Texas. By then, I would hope all the renovation is complete. I purposely didn't add photos to be fair to the hotel while under construction. read more

I don't know why anyone would give this less than 5 stars - I wish I could give it 6! I had a 3-day, 2-night stay here for a work conference and wish I could've stayed forever. The amenities are flawless (the bed to die for), the views of the river unbeatable, and the ambience and service perfection. One of my favorite elements during my stay was that in the early afternoon, they offered a variety of free perks -- one day was an elaborate espresso station (complete with all cream options, flavor shots, etc.). Another day they offered complimentary margaritas with a candy station. The service was phenomenal and everyone who worked here seemed truly happy to assist and provide for their guests. Highly, highly recommend and am already hoping to plan my next stay! read more
