I've had this place bookmarked for a few years now and I'd always forget about it. Today I met my son for lunch and he wanted sandwiches. So I turned to yelp and this place popped up so we decided to give them a try. Walking in the place is clean and open with simple but appealing decor. We walked up to the counter/ cashier and told her we needed a minute to look at the menu board on the wall since it was our first visit. My son decided on a turkey and avocado on squaw bread with dirty chips and a ice tea. I couldn't decided so I went with the pick two lunch combo. I picked the half turkey and cranberry sandwich on squaw bread with a half size greek salad and a strawberry lemonade. The young girl helping us was new and she was having trouble with putting our order in the register. The other employees seemed bothered she was asking them questions, not cool! I told her it was ok and to take her time but she was so nervous. Our order was just under $40 kinda steep for two cold sandwich lunches but hopefully worth it. We looked around while we waited and the girl that took our order came out three different times to ask our order because she couldn't remember squaw bread and onions. Still just figured she's nervous. After a short wait our food was packed and ready. My order was wrong she still forgot the squaw bread but thats fine I'm not going back in at this point. The sandwiches were good everything was fresh and delicious. The salad was just ok nothing special and the dressing was watery, so not worth adding to my salad. Food was good but not worth the price. Great new addition to Redlands! It is definitely my new favorite place to eat. They have many different soups, paninis, sandwiches, salads, and freshly squeezed juices. Everything is fresh and made on the spot when you order. If you're busy and don't have time to wait, they also have pre-made salads, sandwiches, and juices for a quick grab. We ordered the Asian Chicken Salad and The Club with pasta salad. The portions were fairly large, especially the salad. It was really fresh and the veggies were so crunchy. It wasn't soaked with salad dressing, which I really liked! Also, there was chicken in pretty much every bite. The sandwich was delicious too. I loved the toasted bread and bacon bits inside the sandwich. It's $1 more to add Cole slaw, pasta salad, or chips. And the pasta salad was definitely worth it! It was so delicious and fresh. The tomatoes and bell peppers were still crunchy. Overall, I am 100% satisfied! There are lots of tables inside and outside. One of the best in town! The have the freshest sandwiches, and amazing soups and salads. They're also part of The Prep Table so you have the option to get amazing fruit, veggies and preplanned meals. My favorites are the Sicilian sandwich and the Tuna salad. Their salads are monstrous and can feed two, and you can have the option of getting a half a sandwich and salad or soup. I honestly don't think you can wrong with any of their options. My wife's a vegan and they have options for her with sandwiches and soups. Also a decent healthy kids menu. I seriously crave soups and their delicious lemonades. You can see me here several times a week, and I believe I eat here so much I should be on payroll lol. You have to try it! Just had a late lunch here and I loved it! I ordered the vegetarian with no mayo or cheese, and the sandwich was HUGE and came with a bag of Lays chips. Everything was so fresh! I saw them making a salad for another customer, and that portion was also GIANT. Lots of seating, clean, hip atmosphere. I came in and ordered a turkey bacon avocado grinder. ai noticed one on there menu with chipotle sauce so I asked for no chipotle or veggies. When I got to my car I noticed the sandwich was hot and had veggies. I went back in I didn't realize that grinders were actually hot sandwiches and they re made it. Solid spot for a sandwich. I've been here about four times now and so far and it's been pretty enjoyable. They have good sandwiches, but I don't think it's anything extraordinary or close to the best. I still see myself coming here once in a while for a quick lunch, but that's about it. Food: The most recent sandwich I had was the turkey cranberry. It was alright. The ingredients were definitely fresh! They don't skimp out on the meat and the ciabatta bread was a nice twist from your regular rye/sourdough/etc. To be completely honest, as fresh and filling as the sandwich was, it was pretty bland. Maybe the spouts were a bit overpowering, but I couldn't really taste anything else besides the cranberry sauce. Overall, it was okay. In the past I've had their turkey avocado and one of their paninis (forget which one), but I would definitely get those again over the turkey cranberry. Keep in mind that they also have salads, wraps, and juices which seem to be really popular! Price: All the sandwiches are about $9-10 which I think is really fair for how big their portions are. Service: The staff are friendly and helpful! Atmosphere: I love how open the space is to eat. There seems to be areas all over the building to sit down and enjoy your meal. I'd say this is even a pretty good study spot! There's also outdoor seating and a large table or two for bigger groups. It's well lit inside which a very clean, modern vibe. The restaurant is also a store which a lot of organic, local foods. Overall: If I could give Deli on the Corner a 3.5, I would, but based mostly on my food experience here, it's average. I've been wanting to come here for a while and was ecstatic when I had the day off. The menu is fresh l. The prices are comparable to Panera but the food is way better! Try the wrap with jalapeño tortilla and avocado butter. The store was clean and modern style. My two cons were 1. They ran out of a lot of options by 2pm, soup and wheat bread. It was slightly disappointing for a weekday. Consider posting that on the electronic menu, I wasn't informed until I waited in line for 10 minutes. 2. Consider more vegetarian options (besides salads and two sandwhiches) like veggie meat or tofu. there is a big veggie community nearby that would devour this place! 3. Maybe consider cutting down on disposables, for those dining in reusable cups plates instead of a basket make a place feel homey and more upscale. read more

Being an OC/LA/SD girl who drives out to Loma Linda for work, I am so happy to have finally found a DELICIOUS place to eat lunch. Because let's be honest, this area is the type of place to rate their local Pokebar a 4 1/2+ stars even though the fish is chewy and not fresh. There is just not a high standard for food around here. Deli on the Corner is my saving grace! Their portions are BIG and their ingredients are FRESH! I thoroughly enjoy every meal I have here and am more than satisfied, often having to save the rest of my sandwich for later. I've had their Roast Beef sandwich and also their Sirloin and Mushroom sandwich. Both are sooo good and filling. Again, I can't get over the freshness of all their ingredients and veggies. I've been to this place many times and it's overdue a good review. The building itself has a lot of space for dining in but you can also get food to go very quickly. Shame! I loved this place but today the little girl with the nose ring had such an attitude when I asked for fresh salad as opposed to the left over that flies had been kissing on. I couldn't understand why it bothered her so much . Her attitude smelled like feces and I didn't want that bad energy in my food so I cancelled the order. Try to understand that people have the right to pick what they want: which I though was the whole point of a custom salad. UPDATE: Have been back several times since the original review, with about 50% order accuracy. Great food... when the get the order right. To err is human, but I have not been to the deli on the corner in a while since the last order I had placed was with a professional colleague and there were several mistakes in our meals. Today, I was set to watch my seven-year-old son's research project and join him for lunch at his nearby campus. I decided to try deli on the corner again. I am vegetarian and ordered a half veggie sandwich with no cheese and a half Caesar salad and added a dill pickle spear on the side. When I arrived I used Apple Pay picked up my order and was on my way. Upon reaching my son's school I opened the bag as the contents had shifted during my travel. I realized I had a chicken Caesar salad and no dill pickle spear. Being vegetarian and unable to eat half the meal, this was not a fabulous situation. This time, I called deli on the corner to at least get my money back for the pickle (it was the principle). They stated I could get a refund but only if I came back to the restaurant and presented a paper receipt, which I did not have as I used Apple Pay. They apologized, but honestly in a digital age you should be able to refund someone's money virtually. This is really unfortunate, and I really wanted to like this restaurant, but alas, at $13.55 for 1/2 salad & sandwich combo, I prefer to get what I ordered. read more

Amazing place! I like to come here with my boyfriend to eat healthy. They let you customize the sandwich as you like. I've never had a problem with a wrong order because theyre so careful with it. Theyre also really nice about gluten and vegetarian options. The food is great. Ive tried the sandwhich, wrap and the soup here and all were full flavor and fairly healthy for you. I was impressed with how fresh the ingredients were. The wrap had an avacado based tortilla. Also they have snacks you can buy while you're there. They range from gummy worms to granola and they taste great! I don't really have anything negative to say. The only warning I have would be that the quality of the food comes at a cost. This place was hard to score because the food isn't jaw dropping amazing as I expected. The ambience and look is really beautiful. You walk and instantly feel like you're in a new setting and taken away into a new city. Seating is spacious but it does get packed around lunchtime. What gives this place a 4 is because it is super unique. They have a meal prep area where they can give you ingredients for meals you can meal prep at home. I like their salad variety and creativity. They also have a mini shopping area where you can buy treats, nuts, dried fruit and more. I ordered the pastrami and the summer salad. The summer salad was great I just wouldn't add the vinegar dressing becauase it makes it too tart combined with the fruit. The pastrami had a lot of meat. I actually took some out. I would also ask for more Dijon mustard. Parking is not friendly. Not a lot of parking spots and the ones available are tight. Most park on the street. They also have fresh juice and prepackaged salads. I say prides are okay to fair. Service isn't through the moon or memorable. read more

This place is always really clean and a good place to eat some great healthy food. Lots of plastic packaging. They also do NOT have a recycling bin? Shocking considering the aura of the place. Most of the items are recyclable that they provide, why not add a recycling bin?????? Huge turn off especially when there is a lot of in house diners who throw out their plastic soup containers, cups, straws, Salad container, forks, spoons...etc! That is a lot of waste going directly to landfills. So much plastic! I would expect a green place like this to have some reusable dining ware for people who are eating there. Other than that, food is super , service is lovely. No complaints there, add a recycling bin and this place will be top notch! :) read more
