Walls are really thin so it's loud pretty much all night; they charge a bunch of extra fees for Wi-Fi, water bottles, etc. even though you're already paying $$$ to stay there; bathrooms are weird since top part is glass, so if you're staying with someone else and they go at night it lights up the whole room; Wi-Fi is very slow. The art is cool and the curator is excellent, but that's about the only positive. Would not recommend staying here. read more

Entrance lobby is on 1st Ave which is a one way street. At night, our uber driver was google directed to their parking lot. So he drove around to the front drive up entrance to drop us off with our luggage. Its actually located pretty close to many restaurants and bars. There is even a Japanese Garden and a public park in walking distance. Light rail right out the door. Industrial decor, lots of painted artwork and "RE"- titled placards throughout hotel. Even the hotel restaurant matches this theme. The hotel check in people were very welcoming. The security even helped us take our bags to the lobby. Wow, where do I start? Over a decade ago, I slept more soundly at a cheap motel in a rough neighborhood with an argument happening right outside than I did at FOUND:RE. How is that possible, you ask? Well, the walls are paper thin - so thin that you'll feel like you're practically in the same room as your neighbors. I could hear one gal next door talking with her boyfriend on the phone - heard every single word out of her mouth. If you decide to stay here, do NOT say anything you don't want a complete stranger to possibly hear. The real issue was how often I woke up afterwards to the sounds of "love making." I put it in quotes, because it's hard to call it that. This hotel desperately needs to improve their insulation/sound proofing and/or put white noise machines in rooms. Bring your earplugs, folks! Also, I was a little perplexed by the toiletries, and possibly my confusion can be blamed on grogginess from lack of sleep. They had very large bottles of CO Bigelow products, and all the caps were pushed down like they hadn't been twisted open yet. But I saw a sign about the price of the bottles. I wasn't sure if that was for people who steal the entire bottle, or if that was for anyone simply opening them. I thought it had to be complimentary, but I also didn't want to risk it the morning I was leaving after basically no sleep, so I stuck to my bar soap. If it is in fact complimentary, I'm sorry they have to put up a sign for the jerks who decide to go home with massive bottles of bath products. It must happen a lot. Another negative was their restaurant Match. The service was almost non-existent. Sat there thinking the server had gone missing. It was one of the worst hotel dining experiences I've ever encountered. I only went because they gave me a voucher. But the amount of my time wasted made it not worth going at all. The parking isn't ideal - you're pretty limited to paying for the hotel valet. I read about free parking nearby, but I didn't see anything. That said, valet takes away some stress and they were quick. Okay, on to the positives and why FOUND:RE gets two stars instead of one. The art throughout the building is show-stopping. Clever and fun and memorable. The industrial deco in the room was pretty original and it's a unique experience to stay here. It has that posh, party vibe so if you're looking for lodging for a bachelorette trip, this would be the kind of place to stay. The check-in process was smooth and they'll treat you like you're famous. Oh and they have a bowl of taffy at the front desk - you must try one. They're good. Personally, I would never stay here again because I like to actually sleep, but I would go again to simply look at the art because it's really wild and amazing. read more

Dirty rooms (please see photos) We came back to our room at 12:15 AM And we're told that we needed to be quiet and not wear heels because of the concrete floors. It's a SATURDAY at 1215. Why did we get the 8th floor for extra price if we cant even get dressed in what we want? This is my second time staying at this location while visiting Phoenix. Last review I gave it 5 stars. I do have a love for the decor and exposed industrial vibe. Its in a great location but, I have to tell you about my experience this visit. First, we were not greeted by the front desk. I had to say hello. Whatever, fine. They have a great little pool area that we wanted to sit out and just relax at this past weekend but couldn't. The pool is now open to the neighborhood for a pool party every Saturday in the Summer months. I truly wanted to relax as it was an emotional weekend with our Daughter being deployed over seas and the party atmosphere was not what we as a family were expecting. The pool was packed with grown men and women - playing volley ball, floating on huge floaties, making out and dancing. It was like being in Vegas. I feel this does not cater to their guests and in fact made it very neighborhood focused vs the paying patron. The hotel staff said "we know people feel this way but its what we do in the Summer now" We will not stay here again in the Summer months again. Now if Drag Queens, Unicorns and Rainbows are not your thing - this will not be your jam on a Saturday. Came here for a business trip and the hotel definitely looked better in the pictures. The staff was super nice and friendly, but the hotel rooms were kind of weird. My door was stuck to the door frame and the bed is awkwardly placed in the middle of the room, feels like a New York studio apartment. But when I got home I saw an additional $40 charge on my credit card and when I called to ask about it the representative I spoke to called it an "amenities fee" which I was never told about. She took it off right away when I asked but seems like suspicious business practices, I wonder how many people were charged with this fee and never said anything... read more

Nice surprise. Booked this hotel based on its proximity to the concert I was attending, and because the photos made it look unique, but honestly I wasn't sure how nice the area would be. Hotel was beautiful, as were the rooms. Service was excellent, very friendly staff. Another mention is the hotel restaurant, which are usually lackluster. Very artsy funky ambiance of hotel. Rooms are loft style with high ceilings. Stayed for 3 nights, changed room on night 2 d/t screaming kid and unpleasant view (overlooked AC units). Hotel is in quieter part of the city of Phx - is not near a ton of restaurants/things to do but if you don't mind walking you can get anywhere within 10-15 minutes, or drive (note there are street parking fees). We had a car and used the hotel parking lot which was convenient -however we felt the $35/day parking fee was quite steep esp since we were guests. There is an open style restaurant in the hotel -food was good. Staff at counter for breakfast was exceptionally friendly. Wish they sold their coffee (Umbria) - was delish! I am also very grateful to the housekeeping staff as I left several valuable items close to $2K in the safe and realized this as I was on the plane heading back to NY. They held onto my belongings and everything I left in the safe was shipped back to me. I am so lucky and appreciate everyone's honesty. read more

My lights kept flickering. I mean everything in the room all off in intervals of 20 minutes. Is that a truck in my room? No industrial sounding air what did you say I can't hear you, you want me to condition your hair? No that's weird! Oh AIR CONDITIONING!!! Someone complained about the concrete floors. No I love them because Phoenix is so hot, nice and cool and refreshing flooring, I want to lay on them. I got a balcony king and well it's too hot to even drink wine..wait, what? Shoot me! So in the warm weather don't spend the money, honey on a balcony. I am from Vegas..so if I say it's hot...it's like the sixth circle of hell here... Let's talk about sound. Why did they waste money on walls? Is this tissue paper? Seriously. The bachelorette party next door...I know that one of them got lipgloss at Sephora and dress 30% off with a coup! Thrifty shopper, yeah you! now shut up. And P.S. I can hear them doing lines. The people above they are competitive roller derbying. And I can hear when they drop a deuce. This was such a unique space. The layout, the service, the location, all great! The complimentary items available definitely are a hit. We walked to a few places like the museums, The Churchill and some other really cool bars. The art made the place stands out and feel very edgy without doing too much. Pool was nice and never crowded. There was parking but the last day I ended up parking on the street as there probably aren't enough spaces to accommodate the guests. The elevator is a bit slow so keep that in mind if you need to head out to meet ride share or run back to your room for something. But this place was amazing! read more

booked online a standard king room and paid $254 for one night. The pictures looked amazing so I thought money would be well spent..... well I thought wrong ! Upon check in the front desk was confirming my information as I pre paid when booking and I noticed they changed my room from a king room to a 2 double standard room. They then told me that they were all booked up for the night and that was the only room they had to offer. We had been traveling for 6 hours at this point so I asked to look at the room to see if it would work as I have a small child. Eventually we went back to the front desk and asked to double check the room situation to see if there's anything they can do and they offered us a $50 refund for the inconvenience and then charged me an additional $35 for parking. So happy we found this hotel! Saw it on Priceline, last minute deals. After seeing the pictures of the hotel on their website, I was skeptical, it can't be that cool, I thought. WRONG!!! IT IS THAY COOL. We lucked out, upgraded our room, stayed 2 more days. The view is amazing, the room is industrial chic, the bed very comfy. The staff, well they are above and beyond accommodating. Andrew, Abba & Danielle were absolutely everything I'd expect in a 5 star hotel guest service experience. We come to Phoenix quite often, and will definitely be staying here again. Hotel is fine. Well located, clean and comfortable and a little funky. I would like to stay there when in Phoenix, but will not again, because of hidden fees and costs. Don't go through the hotel site to book. They offered a room for $125, then (without prior disclosure) hit me for an additional $51 in "tax recovery and resort fees." It's a hotel, not a resort and does not offer other than the usual hotel accommodations. I felt misled and ripped off. Booking.com had a better deal for a total of $149, including all taxes and fees (about half of what the Found Re site assessed), which I bypassed relying on the representation that the room cost was $125. I am a lawyer and this stands out as a bait and switch and unfair business practice. read more

Amazing place, clean, comfortable and the Market/Bar downstairs is a plus, food was delicious but be aware of one of the bartenders, she was very rude to all the guests that come her way..everybody else was very pleasant, helpful and attentive. Could have had 5 stars but the only downside is that the noise level is extremely outrageous. Walls are very thing so you literally hear EVERYTHING! Maybe it's just a bad night and happened to stay at the same time with obnoxious guests but there was clanking and banging from the room above us, guests screaming for hours during the mid-afternoon (which is whatever people are awake) but it lasted throughout the wee hours of the morning. It was quite hard to enjoy our stay in a comfortable room with all the unnecessary noise. Called front desk and they said they were sending security but I'm pretty sure those guests just shrugged it off. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. Arrived tonight and there was a massive marijuana industry party taking over the ground floor. Tried to check in and was told my room was downgraded for the night but I could have the room I booked when It became available tomorrow. The manager had little option but to offer room discounts, so I accepted. Then I tried to get to my room to find 100+ people lined up for the elevators and no elevator for hotel guests. I asked them to get me a room elsewhere and they agreed. However this should all have been avoided if the hotel ownership had any morals or concern for guests. I should have been notified before arriving, tired and hungry, and expecting a quiet night. I've never experienced such abjectly wrong behavior by a business before, and especially not in the hospitality industry. DON'T STAY HERE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

Before I get into it, the lady at the front desk when I first checked in was cool (never saw her again) and the guy bartender who served me when I ate at the bar was also cool. Other than that... Where do I start? So I got into my room and picked up the phone to order food. The phone didn't work. I called using my own phone and was put on hold. I was actually put on hold for a long time every time I called, which was only like a few times in the couple days I was there. I told her my phone didn't work, but there was no effort made to fix it. I wanted to order room service. She connected me and I told room service that I was taking an important business call and that I wanted the food to just be left at the door. So I'm on my business call and, of course, someone starts pounding on the door. "Amenities!" I thought, okay, maybe he's just knocking to let me know the food is there and he's going to bounce. Nope. Knocks again. "Amenities!" I had to interrupt the call to go get the food. I was so annoyed, but it wasn't his fault that she didn't communicate. I called the front desk again later to have some of their complimentary water bottles delivered to the room. Five hours later, they weren't there. I had to go down and get them. I connected to their internet, but it didn't work. It wasn't just a shitty connection, it just didn't work. I had to disconnect from their internet in order to actually have internet on my phone. You have to press the power button on the TV remote several times to get it to either turn on or off. Once you're able to get it on, it's basic ass TV, which is weird since you're charged a resort fee. No streaming options or app connectivity, which are now standard in pretty much all hotels. They want to be all trendy and modern, but the TV experience is a few decades behind. When I left for the afternoon, I put the sign on the door to request room service. When I got back hours later in the evening, no one had come by. And no one ever came by. My Kleenex box only had like two tissues in it when I checked in and I kinda wanted it replaced. When I checked out, I asked for another water bottle (it's fucking AZ -- it's 112 degrees -- we're in the middle of the desert in the middle of summer -- why is this so difficult?) and she said THEY'RE FOR OVERNIGHT GUESTS ONLY. I'm like, I just stayed here for two nights and I can't have water?? She directed me to a water station by the bar, which is fine, but I can't take it with me. You're not going to give me a water bottle because I just checked out? Wow. There's a hospitality professional for you. Congratulations on losing any future business from me over a bottle of water. It sucks because the room was comfortable, the staff is generally nice-ish (some attitudes behind the bar), and the bar/cafe area is a cool place to hang out. The food was on point, too! I stayed here for several days with a work function. The design of the industrial decor for the rooms is interesting and would be "cool" if the insulation was any better then a warehouse. Its quite obvious the construction is incredibly cheap, and probably had zero upgrade when they turned this from an industrial box into a hotel. It may look good on the surface, but you can hear EVERYTHING. You expect that from a Motel 6, not from $200+ per night supposed "business luxury." Furthermore, the "art" is just shock-value "oh wow we are so edgy" rubbish. Playing to those pretending to be avant-garde, but instead look like young children who just learned how to curse. I'd never stay here, or expect anything but a pseudo-San Francisco "culture" copy/paste attempt that falls flat on its face. Pros: Location, a few staff members, convenient restaurant, comfortable bed. Cons: This is a gigantic case of form over function. This hotel is like the house in Beetlejuice. Too cool and totally impractical. -They have a hidden $25 resort fee which is insulting beyond belief. -The bathroom portion of the room is ridiculous. It has a hole in the sink and weird windows so you have no privacy. The shower is impossible to use without flooding the entire bathroom and entry. I'm an able bodied woman and I almost slipped countless times. -Some of the staff are shockingly rude and dismissive. -It took forever to have towels, water or any amenities replenished at the pool or the room. -There is no hamper at the pool so you have no clue if seating has become available because the pool isn't properly serviced. -We we're on the bottom floor and they start bumping the pool jams promptly at 9am so no sleeping in for you. -If they want to be cool and hip and charge what they do and offer the resort feel have some TV options. They don't offer the ability to stream and there isn't anything but crap TV. -They have a store downstairs that is completely ridiculous with no thoughtful considerations for guests. Only too cool totally impractical items. I had a terrible headache and they didn't have Tylenol or Advil. They didn't have any regular soda options of toiletries. Put a vending machine somewhere if those items aren't cool enough for you. Ultimately this place is completely impractical and is so focused on being cool that they completely miss the mark on customer service and the comfort and happiness of guests. read more

I stayed here 1 night due to the RNR Arizona Half. I had a friend that lived literally 5 mins away from the hotel, so I didn't need to rent a car/use valet. The pick up/drop off area is super simple. Upon entering the Hotel - the entire place looks NICE. There's also a restaurant inside - the smell of food was so strong, haha. I was getting hungry as I was checking in. *FOUND's bathroom is Japanese like. No shower door, open like bathroom. But the design is fairly fancy. The sink is pretty massive and it actually is a dual sink... in the sense the other sink is connected to the walk in area of the room. *FOUND has no bathtub. Only showers. The bed was great. I slept like a baby. I have no complaints. The room itself is huge IMO. It was just me, but I wouldn't have felt claustrophobic if my BF was in the room too. Design of the room is modern & just felt more homey/comfortable when compared to other hotels. The morning of check out was my race. FOUND's checkout is usually 11am. I had to plead my case-- the manager related to me since she also does races and gave me extra time to shower, etc after my race. The race was in the ASU area (20 mins away), so... time was of the essence. I had 15 mins to spare when I was done with everything. Whew. Literally showered, packed, dried off within 40 mins. Had a great time in Phoenix! I'd never been before, and finding this hotel is a task & a half! The entrance is this tiny, unmarked little turn that you will miss. Then, GPS thinks you've arrived. I found the parking lot instead, which was just fine. They have valet too but the lot was right next to the building and easy to access. Rooms are great! I love the cement floor. They are dog friendly! You can hear the neighbor dogs but I didn't mind it. There is art all along the hallways. It's an industrial feel, and a cool contemporary spot. Check out was as easy as turning in the room keys. Staff is friendly, house keeping is kind. I found my spot for all Phoenix stays, yay! read more

When we go to a hotel and it has a pool or a work out room, it's implied that it comes with the room. There are signs that say to re think hotel stay and re find yourself. How about a re fund? It's unique and relatively clean (dirty tile grout) has overpriced art for sale. My room had a painting of a shot horse. Yep slept next to a bleeding horse. Parking is extra. Staff was rude except for the door man. He was polite. The room was $294 plus the 25 plus the 14 for parking and I have not checked the check out bill. I'm scared!!! read more

The bed was comfortable and the shower was actually fun to be in. The staff was friendly but the restaurant crew was slow and disorganized when I placed an order. There is an events room next to the lobby and if you don't care about loud music going off until 2:30 am then this is the place for you. When I checked in I was not told about reserving someone to clean your room. So make sure you reserve your room to be cleaned 24 hours in advance. Oh and good luck with it getting cleaned after you do so. Our person never came to clean. Attended a private party here on 11/13/21. Stayed the weekend as a bank of rooms were reserved for the private event. The hotel is less than helpful in even trying to accommodate any type of special request. They actually act as if they are (personally) being put out by offering any kind of extra service or help. NO! You can not have early check-ins! NO! late! check! out! unless you want to pay $20 an hour in addition to the already overpriced room rate, valet fee and amenities fee. I don't like the concept of having full size shampoo/soap bottles that are left for every guest, before and after you to use- I picture someone replacing the shampoo with NAIR- maybe I watch too much dramatic tv- nonetheless, we brought all of our own shampoo/conditioner/shower gel etc.... Maybe that's what they want guests to do so they don't have to ever pay replace it- seems like something they would do based on the lack of other accommodating features. The patio was dirty and stains all over the concrete patio floor. The cushions were stained and disheveled. The overall vibe was very generic- Think Prison camp with a high-end designer budget. Concrete floors in the rooms, a cattle style tile shower - I would definitely recommend the same design team to create a youth bedroom that any teenager would dream of- but for a high-end weekend private event getaway- no way.... When we initially drove up to the entrance and looked up at the building, I thought we were at a low-end apartment building. The building does not have a very esthetically pleasing curb appeal factor. I would not stay here again- amenities fee is essentially a sneaky way to add on to the high cost room charges without offering anything of value. The hotel is absolutely beautiful with all art and the bar has a very open setting. The room is very different from most but I loved it it all! NOW As soon as I tried to fall asleep I heard all the rooms around me. Literally heard the rooms next to me whole conversation word for word. And they weren't even being loud. I never experienced anything like this before. I called the front desk 4-5 times about this and they didn't know how to handle it. And said they have got calls about this before. Well I obviously wanted to be moved and they had no real solution. Each month I'm in 15-20 rooms and this is by far the worst. I didn't sleep AT ALL. Come here for drinks and dinner do not stay here! The Bed is very hard and made my back hurt. No vent in bathroom so steam from shower prevents towel from drying. Don't hang your clothes on clothes rack because its rusty from the moisture in the air. Supposed to be family friendly but it's not. Not with drunk females in pool yelling and chanting "suck his di**" and pushing total strangers to "make out". Seriously like being around teenagers. Rooms are not sound proof at all. Okay so my husband and I did a week here for anniversary. Upon arrival I was told that my reservation was for 1 night instead of 5. So I call the company I booked through to find out what happened. Mind you all of my documentation still said 5 nights. The guest service rep Erica had a questionable demeanor but decided to 'correct' the mistake and we went ahead with checking in. I honestly think God was trying to stop us from staying here. The room was dusty and not very comfortable. The industrial decor style was unique but the room was cold and far from cozy. The floor is concrete and the rugs provided were filthy. There is no clothing storage and the bathroom...well it's weird. The double sided sink sounds great until you realize there's no way of blocking air from the room which comes directly into the shower from underneath the mirror. My husband jokingly called it a pervert room cause I mean the bathroom alone just ugh! Found hidden cigarette butts under the stool on the patio which hadn't been cleaned. Housekeeping was a no show even after requests. Parking was a joke! The lot is small and tight and serves as parking for the art gallery as well as the Match restaurant located in the property. Unnecessary fees and charges are rampant . Thin walls and honestly stank attitudes from hotel and guests alike. They charge for amenities they don't really have. Small pool only 4ft deep, dirty pool loungers. Ventilation on balcony actually spews heat. And the views are not as exaggerated. I couldn't see the city unless I stood on the balcony in front of the hot vent. The Artwork on the property is beautiful but that's about it. I like that you must use a key to access floors from the elevator. Then the day before check out they called to "confirm" that I was the right person in the room claiming there was another person with the same name in the hotel. I have a very rare name so that sounded like bull. I got charged again for the mysterious one nighter guest with the same name. Charges were removed but only after I called them questioning the charges from my bank. This was my last hotel stay. We normally do resorts and I now remember why. Never again! read more

For being a boutique hotel in the Rosevelt district of downtown PHX... it's cute. The food is okay, and the drinks aren't anything to get overly excited about. The rooms are stunning, that is for sure. The modern take on an open floor plan/loft style/ Edison room is cool. The art galleries are ... meh. They curator has vision but lacks anything interesting. The pool is sub par... the British guy that works there is the biggest a** hole ever and should be fired. read more

I've been staying in hotels for 40 years this is one of the worst experiences I've ever had and trying to enter a hotel that has no markings at street level no identifying marks at the hotel how to get into the hotel where to go for the lobby this is absolutely ridiculous yeah they have a sign on top of building 30 stories up how are you supposed to see the top of the building when you're driving the car. The front desk people say oh yeah it happens all the time people can't find us are these people stupid ? Then the front desk people tell me the elevators aren't going to work from 6 AM on I'm handicapped how am I gonna get down the stairs with my luggage and climb downstairs with that elevator's working it should be against the law for elevators not to work in a hotel so they should not sell rooms the people that have to climb up stairs and climb downstairs with luggage. This is bad business please go somewhere else they don't deserve none of our money. read more

Strong beneath the artsy surface. If you have done any research on this hotel, you know it's eclectic and fun on the outside. I won't go into detail there. But the fundamentals are strong, too. I don't know if they've learned lessons in the past few months or if some of the previous reviews I've seen were anomalies, but everything was great here. And somehow we paid $99. I have a feeling that price won't be available in another year. We stayed overnight before a plane trip and were planning an airport hotel. Being downtown was a little less convenient but oh so worth it. The train comes right next door, so we dropped our car off before settling down for the night and didn't have to pay for parking. Service was friendly and informative. Beds were deliciously sturdy, pillows and bedding clean and fresh, mechanicals excellent. We didn't get to the pool, but it has a bar and liked great. Rooms have safes and high-end fridges. We enjoyed the restaurant, Match, quite a bit. It's huge and well thought-out, with a decent happy hour. It's downtown expensive, but no more so than that. Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Phoenix. This hotel just opened 5 months ago so if you're in town & looking for lodging/culture, look no further. When you first walk in, you're greeted by friendly staff & Burt Reynolds. The hotel also serves as an art museum w/ pieces hanging in the lobby, hallways & separate event space room. Prices for artwork are steep so look, but don't touch. Rooms are modern, loft decor. Attention to detail is key from the pipe tp holder in the bathroom to the usb outlets to the c.o. Bigelow toiletries to make it feel like you're truly on vacation. Attached bar/restaurant is located on the 1st floor so you don't have to leave the hotel in search of good food. Happy hour is from 4:20-6:20pm & prices are the same $4.20/$6.20. Although we didn't use the pool, the deck looked inviting w/ comfy lounge chaises & canopied tables surrounding the pool. Artsy beautiful hotel very modern and just amazing to look at The staff is friendly and the layout of the hotel is cool. The bathrooms are really cool also but hope you are not to shy lol they are small and the doors are sliding doors kinda thin too. The pool ia really nice and i like that its close to the restaurant and bar. But a big plus of tbis hotel is match the bar and reataurant here it's amazing and fits really well with this hotel. The whole experience here is fun and worth the trip. read more
