Don't leave your car in parking lot without paying, you'll get a huge fine and they put a boot on your tire. I went inside to check in and drop some stuff off in my room and I was going to add the parking to my room. But you can only do that if you get valet service. So I had to go back to the lot to get the license plate number from my rental car, so I could pay through the app, and there was already a boot on my car and a $200 fine!!!! The people at the front desk explained that it's a third party company that owns the parking lot, but it's a bad policy for out of town guests. They need more signage to let people know that you risk a huge fine and a boot on your car if you take even a few minutes to check in. Pay immediately or don't park there. read more

Let me first say that this is a nice hotel is a great area of downtown--walking distance to coffee shops. The reason for the three stars is because of the industrial-style rooms flanked with metal, concrete floors, sliding restroom doors, and too much of an open concept. There is no sound-proofing between the restrooms, much less between neighboring walls. I could hear my neighbors chatting, coughing, and shuffling around, so I felt horrible washing my face and making my own noise early in the morning. And my room had a connecting door the next room, which I wish I would have been warned. Single and traveling alone, I don't like those and would have insisted on a different room. The hotel has a nice lobby and lobby bar; friendly staff... complimentary bottled water, coffee, fridge in the room was a plus. read more

The staff are all awesome humans!!! The lady at the front desk was awesome!!! She was definitely a vibe, full of laughter and has a great attitude. She deserves a raise for sure!!! The hotel rooms were reserved on 602 day when the deal was $60.20 for my double beds in my room and I'm glad that it was! Very good price! I love having 2 beds in my room...odd, I know! The room appears bigger with 2 beds and not claustrophobic. My preference! The rooms are cold/hot due to cement floors and has the lofty feel of loft apartments. The walls are super thin especially if there's a door connected to the other room. You can literally hear everything! The rooms I seen looked nothing like the photo which was deceiving on social media... unless they advertised a VIP MODEL on a different floor. The shower pressure is horrific in the shower and the shower head has settings in which, was annoying since the pressure was horrible! The water doesn't get very hot either! I found it odd that the sink was in the shower area, as well as, lead to another sink on the other side of the shower because I've never seen this before! I'm wondering why it's like this? Perhaps, I personally didn't have a good night's sleep here but we did enjoy the bar area with Jon and the staff at the restaurant gift area, all seemed nice. The pool area is ok but it's far from being a rooftop pool which is odd because had this had a rooftop pool, I'm pretty sure that, it would be booming since the location is one of the best! It was nice to lay by the pool with humans starring out of their room windows down at you, since the rooms overlook the pool. Lol awkward!!! They were definitely all in the window!! Boooooo!!! I must admit that, the view from my room was one of the best! Sleeping with the blinds wide open starring out into the sun fall and the moon rise was nice. I didn't sleep so it was nice having a view! Overall, it's not my preferred hotel stay, but it's not horrific.. everyone has their taste! Lobby: I love their art room and their lobby seating area which has phone charging ports. This is definitely a great lobby to sit to read a book or chat with pals. I like the open feel of the lobby! I think that my stay would've been better had the water pressure been better and the room was more comfortable but it felt cold and dark. I personally wouldn't want to stay here again but that's just my preference however I would refer others who has that lofty preference, to stay here! Parking isn't free however, you can parking lot pimp the area, and find free parking. I feel sorry for the residence who reside in the area because I'd hate to have to fight for free parking. Downtown is nice and everything is within walking distance in the area of this hotel if you're into small business shopping and cute restaurants. I love it down here for sure!!! They also have the zoom scooters on every corner that you could rent and roll around on, and the hotel has bikes as well that you can rent which is nice! This is a beautiful boutique hotel in the arts district of Phoenix. "Industrial chic" decor with larger rooms, concrete floors, metal light fixtures, and a very large shower which feels open but provides privacy. Everything is very new and fresh. Best of all the place doubles as an art gallery with a lot of interesting local art, and a huge lobby with attached shop/restaurant with excellent service and reasonable prices, healthy options for food. I will definitely stay here again, the price point was quite good for all the above. I stayed here for a long weekend and had a great time. The rooms themselves had hardwood floors with an industrial, metal decor throughout. There was a massive open shower in the bathroom - along with accessible seating/shower head options. The prices were also very affordable and service incredibly excellent and kind. They also had different rotating art galleries - and it was cool experiencing all of the art. I came on the tale end of their Randy Johnson collection - and the curators were very nice and friendly individuals. The lobby has a lot of space for you to work/explore. The inhouse restaurant/bar/store were solid options for hotel food all things considering. The prices were reasonable (though not amazing deals) and service fairly speedy. Overall, I wouldn't hestitate to recommend this hotel if you're looking for a fun hotel to stay in! read more

I have to say that I loved the style of the hotel and the friendly employees. The artwork was great and the little shop had some awesome items. The problem i had at the hotel was the manager Travis i called the front desk because I didn't look at my key card and find the password for the wifi and I ask what it was and he responded capital F capital Y find yourself well I didn't hear him clearly so I asked again and he repeated himself with an attitude and then hung up before I could even thanked him. When I went down to the desk area to see who it was he was berating one of his employees in front of people and the young man was a really nice man. I felt totally sorry for the young man. I also didn't like how they locked the back door of the hotel where we all had to park and didn't let people enter through the back door. They actually deactivated the keypad so you couldn't enter and to top it off I asked them every day about why the keypad wasn't working and they would always tell me they would look at it. At the end I was very upset that I had to walk around the building to get inside. Well the last thing that I had a problem with was the breakfast that they offered, it was like 4 or 5 basic things till 10 am then you could order the brunch and the breakfast which is what me and my wife wanted. So we basically had to go out for breakfast every day. Do better FoundRe because we really did like it there with a few exceptions and get rid of the manager. read more

It took my husband and I about 2 hours to just look at the painting in the hotel. The room itself was very comfortable and spacious!! They are also pet friendly with no extra charge. They have a very nice and clean pool. You have an amazing selection of rooms to chose from and they will happily move you if you have a noisy neighbor. I tried leaving 2.5 stars but rounded up to 3. I chose to stay here due to reviews found online of how clean it was. Ironically, I did not find our room to be clean. The shower head was dirty. The shower was gross. The sink had mold in it. Otherwise, the room was comfy and the location was great. Parking price was a bit excessive especially after the cost of the hotel itself. The staff at the bar were super kind and friendly! Although the few people I interacted with at the front desk....not so much. The lady did not seem to care when I made her aware of the black mold. She said she would send someone up to look before we went to dinner. After dinner, it was still there. So even the people in the artwork could notice the frustration in my eyes. She said they were busy so I asked for a different room and all the sudden someone was able to go check it out. Waited for about 30-40 minutes in lobby before she sent someone. The man that checked us out had no personality either. Overall, I would love to come back but would like them to acknowledge this and do better. People pay for a clean space. read more

First time visiting Phoenix for a concert at the Van Buren and I stayed here a couple weeks ago. I loved how welcoming the space is. It feels like you're staying in a really warm art gallery. The rooms feel industrial with the most comfortable beds. I got a really great nights sleep. Not to mention the shower and its products set me up to fall asleep effortlessly. The robes were so comfy I'm asking for one for Christmas! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in phoenix. Their staff is so friendly and the rooms were the perfect size to boot. After reading mixed reviews I stayed here for 2 nights. It is on the northern end of dt phoenix. If walking is not your thing the train is nearby. I saw complaints on the industrial look. This was not a big deal. You know it is industrial when looking at photos. I didn't mind the look. Other complaints was thin walls. As for this I didn't hear anyone talking or being loud through the walls. You do hear occasionally knocking noise or a rumble. Not enough to ruin my stay. The parking complaint was not an issue because I didn't drive. The only thing I didn't like was they did not clean the room while we were out. They changed the shower towels for us and took the hand towels but didn't replace them. The bar area is nice and big. The pool is small and the water was cold...Overall I liked the hotel. One thing to note is you are in what seems to be the LGBTQ community of the city. Doesn"t bother me but something to note as some people may not like that. read more

My fiancé and I stayed here for his birthday weekend and we enjoyed it! We brought our beautiful fur baby with us and we really appreciated how pet friendly this boutique hotel was. Honestly, the price overall for what you get is quite moderate I think because it is in the downtown area next to places you can grab some breakfast bites, parks to walk your pets, and relatively easy parking. Overall, the room was clean and had a modern, industrial vibe, which we enjoyed. The bed was actually not uncomfortable like we are normally used to when we travel so the three of us were able to relax and unwind pretty quickly. They offer walk through areas within the hotel that have art hangings, pet accommodations like extra bowls if you forgot one at home, and the staff was quite friendly overall. They do also have the availability of room service and a restaurant called Match downstairs next to the lobby where you can grab food, or order to the room. We weren't a huge fan of the breakfast or food overall just because it was portioned quite small for the price they charge, and the quality of it wasn't worth it to us. The surrounding area was urban and had plenty of walkways for us to take our fur baby around for walks! We loved that element of the stay. There is a valet service as well built into the price of the stay, but we never used it because there was a validated parking area for patrons. We would definitely consider coming back when we decide to enjoy Phoenix again since we have family out here! read more

I want to like this hotel but cannot and won't return in the future. Walls are paper thin and even worse if you get a room that shares an adjoining door. Thankfully we only heard loud talking and the television but still....big gap under both of the adjoining doors. Also, the conference room off the side of the lobby area is quite annoying. If there was a way to reconfigure that area to keep hotel guests and conference people separate, that would be so much nicer. I did not like how conference people were spilling out into the lobby area, making it very loud and crowded. We were downstairs first thing for coffee and breakfast and staff were not ready to go. Lastly, the heating/cooling vents in the rooms are HELLA loud. While it did drown out the neighboring room watching their TV, it was just too loud. read more

This is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in, with a price to match, but you definitely get what you pay for. My wife and I had a king room, which was spacious, very clean, and had a massive open shower. The artistic decor was really well done, I wish I could have checked out more rooms in the hotel just to see how each one was decorated differently. The front desk clerk was attentive and kind, and he even thought to offer us a crib for our infant when I totally forgot to ask - he just noticed we had the baby and asked if we wanted one. It was delivered to our room within minutes of us arriving in there. Others are absolutely right in their descriptions, this place has a unique industrial vibe. Electrical fixtures are run through exposed metal pipes, the floors are concrete with area rugs, and there are exposed beams in some places. It felt like someone rehabbed an old factory and appointed it very tastefully. The hotel restaurant was quite good, but we only ate there once. The hotel provides a free coffee or gelato coupon, and stocks the fridge daily with free Fiji waters. I would stay again if my wallet wasn't so empty... read more

And the bar downstairs has a very nice breeze to the outisde the hotel is very accessible within the art district in phenoix. Few caveats are the room service is very slow, they didn't even clean our room when properly asked it had to take a few days for them to listen, but it's definitely worths it's value because it was one of the cheaper hotels in phenoix. The hotel has a fitness center, pool and dining at MATCH Market & Bar. The name FOUND:RE is pronounced "Foundry" and describes what this hotel is all about - discovery and innovation. Even though I have never stayed here, I do visit from time to time for the art work that is displayed throughout the hotel and for drinks. The Juried Exhibition is one of my favorites and I have had many artist friends have their work displayed here. If you have never been, FOUND:RE does a great job of curating this exhibit with some of the best art Phoenix has to offer. I highly recommend checking it out. read more

Jessica Brock Front Office Manager offered to put my name on a list to reimburse me due to me getting a room for a couple nights though a 3rd party and then staying longer through them where they charged me for more time then what they should have. We spent a lot of money there... We used the restaurant, the bar did the breakfast thing in the morning with the mimosas. Upon refunding me for them charging me for more days then they were supposed (took them over 2 weeks... I left the 12th didn't get my refund cleared until the 29th) due to all the inconvenience I was told my name would be put on a list to replace the days I was there to have a better experience for the next time... COVID hit right after and I was told that I could use my days anytime after. I have been trying to get the days/room that was promised to me for years now where they just blow me off. At first I figured they were busy but this last time a gave good notice and never got a call back Daniel Opodaca (now the manager) and then when I called the front desk they put me on hold and left me there then when I call back I couldn't no longer get through!!! This place is garbage and they have absolutely no respect for their clients!!! should have got NO STARS... However I had to put at least one to post this. read more

One of my FAVORITE hotels, and I travel a lot for work. This is located in a wonderful part of Phoenix. Cute Roosevelt Row area with cafes, restaurants and museums, all within walking distance. This place is an updated Best Western, but you'd never know it. Great modern, industrial vibe. Rooms are well thought out, unique and fun. Bathrooms have an interesting set up, with sink available on both sides (from shower and room side). LOVE the lobby restaurant+bar+gift shop. Monday and Tuesday are all day Happy Hour. Staff is top notch (bartender was my favorite - she was a master mixologist and friendly). Uber dog/pet friendly - which I love! Pups everywhere. Bring your support giraffe. read more

The location of this hotel can't be beat! The design inside is really wonderful and I think this hotel was really needed in downtown Phoenix. I loved the free coffee or Gelato welcome gift. There is so much attention to detail here. Although we didn't take advantage of the free rental bikes, it was great that those were available. Our room was very spacious and had all the amenities that we needed along with a great view of the city and the pool from the penultimate floor (7).the top floor is a penthouse or suites, so with our standard reservation, we got the best view possible. Folks should be aware that the bathrooms are unique. A good friend and I were sharing a double. You really have to be comfortable with the person you are in the room with because the bathroom walls are made of smoked glass. You can't *really* see what's going on in the bathroom, but you can hear it, and of the lighting is just right, you can see the person's silhouette shadow in the shower (like that scene in Flashdance). When we arrived I was a little disappointed that there was no bell person to help me with my luggage. Maybe I'm spoiled, but I expect that at a hotel of this caliber, plus I had been camping prior so I had a lot of luggage when I arrived! The luggage carts were artsy and industrial but also unwieldy and hard to maneuver. Although the listing said there was free valet, there was no valet when we arrived. Although the parking was advertised as free, the parking wasn't free but built into the daily resort fee of $35. All of this was completely acceptable, but it should have been clearly stated in the listing when I made the reservation. The uncovered parking was ample and straightforward in the lot immediately behind the property. The small pool was sufficient but deserted every day that we were there. We visited during Memorial Day, and honestly, I felt like all of Phownix was deserted. Even with the miscommunication of the listing, I would still come back to this hotel. It's cute and in the heart of downtown Phoenix, where everything is walkable. You can take the light rail to places further away (like the airport, the stadiums, or the east valley) , though you would need a car for many places in Phoenix (like Camelback or the Superstition mountains). read more

We have been staying here since Friday night when we checked in. Being from out of town I was completely lost trying to find this place. It is located downtown in the arts district. It's all one way streets around here. So if you past something you will be making a uturn somewhere. I did see it as we passed and I thought no that can't be it. Because the entry looks like a loading unloading area. But nope that is where you go to check in. This place grows on you if you aren't familiar with it. It is an artys kind of establishment. Not really my thing but I thought I would keep an open mind. Off to the right as you walk into the lobby there is a room full of artwork. It is pretty cool. To your left is the restaurant that looks pretty good. The check in process was easy and we were off to our room. What a surprise as you enter the room. This is definitely not your average hotel room. The room is something like a manufacturing facility that has been turned into a hotel room. It really is pretty neat. The bed is framed with literally iron rails. With more iron rails behind for support. The electrical work is all exposed throughout the room. I've never seen anything like this. The bathroom as has the coolest shower and sink combination. The toilet is in same room as the shower. The sink is in the same room as the shower as well and the other half of the sink in on the other side of the wall so another person can wash up while you shower. The towel rack and toilet paper holders are all made of pipe and capped with piping caps. The place is so clean. It has been an interesting stay. It is close to many good places to eat and have a good cold beer. There is a farmers market close by on Saturdays. There is a lot of homeless people around this area. But they don't bother anyone. So I wouldn't let that keep me from staying here again. I think the only thing for someone that isn't familiar with the area is the one way streets. You definitely will be getting turned around. So just be patient. read more

Great hotel if you have dogs! The room is spacious, all concrete floors which is great for dogs in case of spills or otherwise. Very interesting bathroom and the overall aesthetic is very industrial and hipster like that, but all good. The bed is also extremely comfortable! There is a large grassy patch for your pets right next to the hotel. The parking lot is kind of small, but conveniently located right behind the hotel. They also have free valet parking which worked out well since we couldn't find any self parking spots. Overall definitely a good place to stay with your pets! read more

Overall, the experience was decent. The room was as presented well in accordance to the website photos. The room presented a lot of cool features such as decor, art and a swivel lamp that hung over the bed. It was quiet and everybody was friendly. There were some things I didn't like for example, mold began to build on the pathway sink. There was a bad connection with one of the lights, so that flickered continuously. When we first arrived, we were assigned a room that was already assigned to another guest. We were complimented one free drink for the night for the mix up of rooms. My stay here was very brief (1 night). I was in the area for the work conference. Location - In the downtown Phoenix area. It's quite a busy area. Food - I got a $25 credit to use at the hotel restaurant/cafe. We were told that this credit is only applied if you use more than $25. We also had a section of the patio reserved with food. The pasta was just ok. The "seasonal vegetables" was steamed broccoli. The egg rolls, garlic bread, and tiramisu were my favorites. There is happy hour, so I got myself a refreshing beer which was recommended by a really kind bartender. Rooms - The rooms have concrete floors with a very industrial vibe. It was a very unique design. I liked everything about the room except the fact that I can hear every single sound -- people walking above me, people using the bathroom (yes, for real), people talking, phone alarms... I found the perfect hotel for an overnight date downtown! My husband and I wanted to spend the night downtown and able to walk and bar hop. Not only did Found:re sit in the perfect location; it's also such a cool artsy vibe. It's a small art boutique hotel with an interesting design and fun signage. You walk in to a larger than life centerfold of Bert Reynolds At the check in desk, an egg on a pink wall behind you, a bar to your left, and to your right is an art gallery. I had booked a room with a patio and quickly found out that they are all on the first level and really just look out to the back parking lot. The staff was great, though, and immediately switched us to an upstairs room with a view when we asked. No patio on any upstairs room, but the view of downtown is all I wanted. The rooms are not only spacious but also a really cool design, between the layout and the simple artwork set against the industrial metal elements. In the lobby is the Match restaurant/bar and market. The wall of glass windows opens up during the day for a nice fresh feeling. You can grab fun gifts, snacks, or sit for a drink and a meal. We didn't use the pool but it's fun and colorful set against the backdrop of downtown high rises. We enjoyed the night out walking only a few minutes from the hotel to dinner at first and last and then drinks in little debbie's, teddy's preserve, and rough rider. The hotel was nice and quiet and the bed was perfectly comfortable. The next morning we walked down for breakfast to the Churchill and walk through booths of the Saturday farmers market. We Staycationed at Found:RE on a Thursday & Friday to attend a concert at State Farm Stadium. The hotel's by the stadium were over priced. This hotel is a conservation piece. It's decorative decor and art displayed throughout the hotel and even in our suite was an added bonus. We hung out at the pool, ordered drinks and some small bits. The suite was unbelievable, it was a Loft style with a Barn Door that split the room. It had a separate living space, 2 flat panel TVs and a double shower. The bed was really comfortable and the sheets were soft. The reason I'm not giving this beautiful establishment a 5 is that 1. All the sinks in the suite drained slow. 2. This is a pet friendly hotel and our room was clearly stayed in by a pet owner. I have pet dander allergies & my eyes & nose became irritated. I highly recommend this hotel. read more
