Most of these poor reviews are personal vendettas against one of the owners. I worked there in the past, and I still eat there regularly. It's always relatively clean, and the food is good. It is not really a fast food place, it's short order. Food is cooked on the grill when it is ordered, so no it's not going to be as fast as McDonalds. It's not going to be as cheap either. read more

We came through the drive through and the lady was having a very hard time understanding what my hubby was ordering. We took a long while to get to the window and they didn't even had the shake ready. The food is good but the service sucks!! They don't have that many customers inside. read more

This is a revisit, I wasn't very happy last time but this time the service was great and the place is clean and the burger was very tasty. The fries were crisp and hot overall great experience this time. Will return to try more of the menu, one suggestion the ice tea is from the soda machine please get real brewed ice tea I'll come by just for ice tea read more

Enjoyed 2 small 1/2+1/2 cones at Fosters in Sanger on a Saturday evening in November-it's never too cold for ice cream :) No one else in their indoor dining area, drive thru seemed pretty steady. Friendly service at the counter. Haven't been inside the Selma or Sanger Fosters in a decade or so, this Fosters seems much more remodeled than the Selma one is or was. Plenty of seating. Looks like the menu is the same. Good place to get dessert in Sanger. read more

My first time eating fosters !!! And let me tell you , it's the best food I have ever had ! The burgers were amazing !! Same with the ice cream ! I'm coming back tomorrow !!! read more

What an insult to the foster freeze name . They serve the wrong ice cream . It's not the traditional foster freeze custard . The food is always cold or undercooked . For the price they're charging it's not worth it . The owner is rude and makes nasty comments about people . Save your money and time and go to Clovis if you want real traditional foster freeze . read more

Person working drive though took my order, charged me, 10 minutes later of waiting at the window tells me they don't have what I ordered. Please make it known to your workers what you guys have and don't have..... thanks. read more

I was acknowledged when I walked up to the register. Cashier was nice and respectful. The store was nice and clean, along with the bathrooms. Great music, wasn't too load or quite a nice medium. read more

Wonderful place everything is clean WONDERFULL severice would 10/10 go there again it amazing place to go for food or ice cream!

Garbage food. Rude staff, clearly they get it from the owner. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I'd recommend going to big mommas or dennys for a burger. read more

honestly whoever runs this place is doing a great job. I got the big boss and it was so good! fries were fresh the ingrediants were fresh prices aren't bad at all it's hard to get a meal for $10 and at fosters in Sanger u can! lmao bomb food read more

First and foremost a bit of background on who I am. I a big foodie and love to try new and different places. I've been living here in Fresno for over a year but have live throughout California, Washington, Oregon and Mexico. I have a very good palate for food. Now my sister and I wanted to try something that has been local for many years hear in the central valley so we went to Foster Freeze in Sanger. We used the drive through as they didn't care if you were a mask or not. The building, sign and menu need major upgrades and they have cash signs everywhere so they can put more money into maintaining the building which is ironic since the place here in Sanger needs major upgrade. We ordered the old fashion burger. One medium combo and their cheesy bacon ranch fries. The burger was meh, it looked delicious but once you take a bite the only thing I could taste was the tomato. The sauce they used was thousand island dressing but watered down, meat needed some salt or seasoning. The bun was lacked flavor as well. the medium fries was a tiny bag which by todays standard is a small. The cheesy bacon ranch fries were alright, just a dab of cheese in the middle, the ranch was on the side and the bacon was actually good. but overall not amazing. The women who handed us our drinks was nice as well as the gentleman who later came back with the bag of burgers. If service was bad it would of been a 1 or 0 star rating. If you just need a place to fill the stomach its ok, if you are looking for something wow ... well I would look elsewhere. Hopefully the owners actually make some upgrades and look at the negative reviews unless all they care about is the money which it seems that way to me. read more

The food here is absolutely horrible, this evening I received my food cold and not fresh whatsoever. The wait in the drive-through was 15 minutes and waiting that long I was expecting at least a fresh hamburger and french fries but I got none of that. The price was extremely expensive and Completely not worth it. This was the first time and the last time I will ever eat at Fosters freeze and I'm gonna tell everyone I know not to go bc this is uncalled for. I'm not sure what the employees are doing that it took 15 minutes to get my order out but it's not working, and I expect this place to be shut down very soon as they're selling bad hamburger meat. read more

Fosters Freeze - Dried up inedible hamburger meat. - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Sanger, California

You can't select your ice cream flavors for the banana split because they can't do it in the computer. Yeah right...

Waited 30 min for chili cheese fries. I usually do drive through, the times I've been here, but that's usually at least 30 min. Ordering inside was not any faster, not sure why everything is so delayed here. I came for chili cheese fries and the Chili cheese fries were over priced, skimp portion, and mediocre quality. Disappointed, I've given this place too many chances. Aside from this, customer service is not the best. With the reviews and stars this business has on Yelp you would think the owner/management would start responding to bad reviews and hearing out customer pain points, unfortunately they do not. read more

Ordered 2 small cones at the drive thru. Menu says $2.99 each. Got charged $8+ at the window. Had to argue with the manager to get the price reduced and the correct change. Buyer beware read more

It's a hamburger joint, that can't get the simplest order right. 2 burgers, no cheese, add onion, no pickle on one of the 2. They still put cheese. Old Fashioned burgers from fosters never came with cheese. Now they do without asking. Even got the drink wrong. read more

My daughter's iced tea had a live cockroach in it. The employees shrugged, and seemed completely unconcerned when we told them, and simply offered up another tea (as if!!) Disgusting. There is nothing more to say read more

Best Foster's in the valley! I had the 3 patty burger with Cris cut fries.... fresh bun, melted cheese, crispy lettuce, and soft ripe tomato. They give you real ranch dressing not a processed mini tub of 900 year old pre packaged gelatin based artificial buttermilk byproduct. If your in Sanger for some god awful reason then eat here... then get the hell out of Sanger, it's a shit hole. The counter help is okay.... a bit sarcastic but the bathroom is filthy and smells like sewage. I went in to wash my hands and I think the air in the bathroom made it dirtier than when I pet a stray dog up the street! But the food tasted good. Eat here..... but don't use the bathroom. read more

Asked for my burger to be lettuce wrapped expecting it to be wrapped in a leaf of lettuce like everywhere else. However when I got it they had sliced off the ends off a head of lettuce and made a lettuce bun. It was filling and delicious and I will definitely be back for more! And yes it takes a long time to get your order but at least you know it's fresh when you get it read more

WAY over priced!! Never coming here again. $15.31 for two shakes. Not two shakes and fries or any other item. Just two shakes! I asked the worker (I think his name was Bobby) if I heard the price right. He could care less. Total whatever attitude. Then didn't even have the decency to give me the shakes himself. Made a younger individual hand it to me. He just hid somewhere. This is total taking advantage. read more

so I went to get a crispy chicken sandwich and asked to add bacon and when I took a bite to there was a entire (like from the root) hair strand in it, it was disgusting and I'm seriously never buying from this place again. I called them so they know who I am and know that this is real. It was the shift that worked around 6-7 on Monday may 10. Also they really skimp you on the waffle fries. read more

Absolutely unsafe Covid practices. While they claim to cases have been traced back to their store it'll only be a matter of time if they continue letting customers go maskless COUGHING all over the place. I am appalled and shocked they would allow maskless and visibly sick people in. read more

I am happy to review this delightful establishment! I have always been a little Leary of Sanger and the Fosters Freeze chain has slipped since I was a child. I ate here a few times on my last trip to visit my parents. I was totally wrong and completely excited about it. The food was good! Well made and fresh. The workers obviously took care in putting together my hamburger. The dining room and bathroom were clean. Not just cleaned but obviously the employees keep the place clean. I suggest it over Sonic and the others in Sanger. read more

Not really sure why this place gets such a bad wrap. Sure, it takes a little longer than most places but you totally taste the difference. They're super chill with making changes to order. I'm always super picky with what I want and they've never given me attitude or dirty looks. read more

This is probably my favorite fast food. I love the food here. Its always so clean inside when I go eat there. The employees there are so nice. The owner is really funny and nice. I think that this is the best fosters freeze in the valley by far. The best food in town I think. There shakes are amazing. Its really fast there to. Minnie Medina the cook is really nice. She makes the best hamburgers in town. I will forsure be back here to eat. Thank you foster freeze for the amazing service. You guys are the best!! read more

The store seems to be clean most of the time and they did a good job of remodeling, I'm old fashioned and always liked the old 1950s feel that Foster's had but i guess the times have changed. The food has always been good but a little pricey for fast food. The service can be a little on the slow side at times but the staff seems to always be friendly and curious. I think that Foster's makes the best milk shake around and for sure the best here in town. read more

the employees were really friendly but the food doesn't taste good i go sometimes to visit family members in Reedley and I go to the fosters in Reedley it taste way better and they have more items their wings so good I don't mind driving all the way to reedley as long I get good food and have to get my fav twisters strawberry cheese cake! read more

Had Fosters for lunch yesterday. Fosters was my favorite place to go for a really good burger. Not anymore. Yesterday was the last time I go there unless I want disappointing food. I asked for no cheese, got cheese. The patty was over cooked and the fries were extremely salty. AND I was overcharged 4.00. The lady did correct the overcharge when brought to her attention. The staff was nice. But when getting inferior food, nice only goes so far. read more

Great customer service the ice cream and soda was really good

Yup. My go to spot for twisters and ice cream. Not sure what's in their ice cream but I am addicted it's very good. I always get the Reese's twister or a parfait. I went to Sonics last week and got a blizzard or whatever and it sucked so bad and the service was so bad and rude. Ya. Fosters knows how to do it. The big guy is Always so nice too. read more

THIS place IS so SLOOOOOWWW!!!! Plus it's dirty, old and waaaaay overpriced for ice cream. All these positive reviews were obviously written by the owner or a reputation management business. No one in the world would give this place 5 stars unless they were getting paid. Seriously there's every other fast food restaurant in this shit-town, u should go there.
