My only issue here, which caused this to be a 3 star review and not 5 stars, was that the cucumbers in my sandwich had such a weird and bitter taste -- NOT something cucumbers taste like at all. One of the employees even took my dirty trays and disposed of them himself. Nice. I order a small 43 (the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich) and an order of their amazing Beer Battered Fries. I have been to this Deli D three days straight now.... shows you how much I love the food and service. The wait time has been reasonable. A few times I've just called in before and it makes the wait time even shorter. They have the option to order online now too which makes it even better! The service has been amazing, they're always checking up on you and making sure everything is to order. So it's COVID and I'm trying really hard to support my local business. I put my order in just before 12 pm, got to the location and didn't get my order until 30 minutes later, even though the site said 15 minutes. I think what bothered me the most was the cashier told me she was going to bag my order but left and never came back. The second cashier told me my order was next so I waited. Then cashier one came out to clean tables while my order sat on the counter with other online orders. Finally I heard the older lady say that my order was done already and THEN the cashier got my order from the rest. Why tell me 15 minutes and why let my order sit? My fries and sandwiches were cold. They ask for you name for the order, but if not too busy they will actually bring it out to you! Think that is a pretty cool personal touch. This place is the only deli I eat at in Sanger. Deli D is everywhere in Fresno but this spot is always on point. The little guy behind the counter is awesome, he has a beard but I still think he's got to be no more then 20 years old. I can tell it's a family run operation because an older lady works most of the time. Good thing because she puts motherly love in each sandwich. Leave it to Sanger to have a Deli Delicious that messes things up. Seems to be a pattern here in town with franchises. Had a 21, bland, and worst of all they missed the avocado. As a matter of fact all 4 sandwiches were missing the avocado. Family said the same, sandwiches were bland. We ordered the beer battered fries and the regular fries. Both were bland. Other than the cut, the flavor profile was identical. Oh and just like the other trend in town, no napkins. UPDATE Owner from Deli Delicious reached out.
