I don't know why I keep ordering from here. The food is mediocre and the delivery is alwaaaayyyys LATE. I ordered via grub hub tonight and the estimated delivery time was 8:20-8:30pm. My food did not arrive until 9:04pm. This is unacceptable. I ordered two appetizers and a small pizza with a dessert. I don't think it take 1.5 hours for that and I literally live down the road, I can walk there in ten minutes. The food was also lukewarm by this point. I had an order of mozzarella sticks, since when are they served with buffalo sauce instead of the usual marinara?? I called the restaurant twice and they kept saying "it's on the way, oh he should be outside now.." Seriously?? Won't be ordering from here again! Foschinis was a total surprise in Lyndhurst! The outside of the restaurant does not look so great, but it is quaint and modern inside. Ordered pick-up for the first time from this place about 2 weeks ago and it was ready right on time (30 minutes). The large margherita pie was EXCELLENT and the large buffalo chicken pizza had great flavor (we got it without bleu cheese) but I thought the chicken was just a smidge too dry. All the slices on display looked excellent as well, and I would definitely choose Foschinis next time I'm craving a slice of pizza. The crust is thin and crispy like it should be from a brick oven, and the flavors are just right on. Highly recommend! read more

NOT HAPPY. The delivery food for this place used to be good. Now, it is below average & takes a really long time to arrive. Ordered the food & it took an hour & a half to arrive. The sandwiches were cold & so were the fries (very few of them). Very disappointed in how bad this place has become. I ordered online and it took over an hour to make it. No apologies and they think it was best to blame me for their incompetence. They lie to me saying it's ready in 5 minutes but I wait over half an hour. Then when I opened it up it was half done as cheese is still solid and uncooked. No ownership of their incompetence and behaves like it's not their problem and then doesn't give me choice of canceling the order since they weren't going to refund online pay. We ordered here again, for the new year I have changed some of my eating habits. This time I passed on the FBOK and got the grilled chicken salad instead. Delicious. The chicken was great, the dressing on the salad was very tasty. A little hicup because we didnt let them know ahead of time that we were using a credit card, but delivery was generally smooth. Foshini's uses fresh mozzarella, not the commercial rubber cheese. Their sauce is fresh and tangy and clearly not canned. My favorite pizza is the Margherita, however it is not always made with the advertised ingredients of fresh mozzarella, basil and San Marzano tomato sauce. This used to be my go-to pizza place. Unfortunately they must have changed management because the quality has really gone downhill. The first problem I experienced was a few months ago. I ordered a pizza on a Friday night and was told delivery would be 45 minutes to an hour. It showed up nearly 90 minutes later. Okay, fine, I get that they're busy on Friday night. The pizza was a little cold by then but I stuck it in the microwave for a few seconds, no biggie. Until I put the remaining slices away in the fridge and saw for the first time that the crust on the back half was burned black. I was annoyed, but wrote it off as a one time issue. I next ordered from them maybe two or three weeks later. I ordered a burger, and after hanging up realized they didn't ask how I wanted it cooked. Oh well, this isn't a steakhouse, so I guess that was asking too much. I don't remember how long I was told the wait would be, but I do know that it was about as long as the previous time, and this was mid week. I finally received what looked like a piece of charcoal, ice-cold, and about six fries. I ordered one more time, and then only because the new place I'd found since then was closed. I ordered an Italian hero, which had been one of my favorites on their menu. Not this time. I'd say there was about half the meat and cheese and almost no oil and vinegar. Pizza was delish for slices but service was mediocre. We are traveling through so after reading reviews and it being easy to find and open on a Sunday night we gave it a try. We arrived at 9:30, they are open until 10. She told me they were closing but we could get slices. I was a little hesitant but gave it a go. The pizza maker asked eating in or to go. Eat-in? , the cashier specifically stated they close at 10. Ok plenty of time for slices and a few beverages. My kids loved the pizza and there were a few choices so we were all happy. I just felt like we were bothering them. Most restaurants if they say they close at 10- take orders up until that time. Oh well, it served the purpose for $20 for 3 of us and we left full, garlic knots(warmed up for us) were ok too. read more

For an Italian pizzeria manned by non-Italians, Foschini's makes a solid pie, esp. the Margherita as the other reviewer mentioned. (FYI, the Margherita is not always available, so call in advance if this is your main interest.) Also recommended are the salads (esp. the Caprice salad, made with quality mozzarella) and wraps. Be prepared to spend a little more than you'd expect from similar eateries. If you're lucky, a crazy guy named Ronnie will be there (probably drunk) and will talk your ear off as if your best friend. I placed an order for a small Margherita pizza. I liked that the minimum delivery was $10, and this place is only 5-10 minutes away, so I was expecting a quick meal. The delivery estimate was 30 minutes. I placed my order at 1:26 p.m. on a Wednesday afternoon - not typically a busy time by any means. I used the Grubhub app, and it estimated my pizza should have been here by 2:00. I assumed it would be earlier, since I am 5-10 minutes away, and it was a small order. When an hour had passed and my order still hadn't arrived, I called Foschini's. They told me shortly "it'll be there soon." No further information, and hung up. This was around 2:30. I found my way to Yelp, and noticed that a lot of customers had also posted about having a similar experience and waiting an hour and a half for an order. This seems to be a conclusive problem. My pizza didn't get to me until 3:00, an hour and a half after I ordered it, for a place that is 10 minutes away. The pizza wasn't hot, didn't look fresh, and for an hour and a half wait time with terrible customer service, it was not worth it. I was very disappointed by my experience with Foschini's and will not be ordering from there again. read more

I cannot believe people think this is good. The hot wings were the total opposite of anything they should be. They were absent of any sauce at all, and tasted like rubber. These were microwaved and nasty. Out of the four people here at the house nobody ate more than one. The much praised "Margherita" pizza was nothing more than an average Ny style pizza crust with a small amount of tasteless sauce, sub-par mozzarella, and pieces of basil. I think some people need to get out of lower Bergen County and get some proper pizza. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place, while the pizza is awesome the service leaves something to be desired. I placed my order using delivery.com left a note saying deliver at four. Then called to verify a four pm delivery. The girl on the phone wouldn't even take my name. Then at three I get a phone call that they are outside if an empty apartment. Terrible customer service. Good food is only part of the dinning experience. I ordered a margarita pizza through delivery.com today. They sent me a regular pie. I called the restaurant and I was told there was nothing they could do but offer me a credit on my next order. I said unacceptable. They said I must wait 40 mins for my pie. The person didn't offer me an apology, was rude and not accommodating at all. You just lost a customer. Considering I order at least once a week or so and every time it was the margarita pizza I'm disappointed. But you can't be rude to your customers. read more

Stopped in here for a slice a couple of times. Each time, same experience. On my first bite my reaction was, "This is the best tasting pizza in Lyndhurst...", and my second reaction was, "...but the crust is not crisp". In other words, its pretty much the opposite of most of the other pizzas I've had since moving here which are typically a bit bland, but have great, crisply crusts. By the time I got to the middle of the slice, the taste was less special and the dough's chewiness annoyed me more. Also worth noting that in both cases, the slice wasn't heated up all the way through, so was a bit cool after just a few bites (which seems to be a very common problem in this town - I guess its all about pies and dinner, here, and walk-in traffic just doesn't matter to these places). read more

Drove over after a 20 minute wait, walked in and was told that it would be "a while". I asked how long, "a while" was the response from the snotty little cashier. After another 30 minutes, the food was still not ready. The total wait time for mediocrity was 1:05 from the time I called to the time I walked out with the order. Example they were supposed to deliver within 30 minutes...70 minutes later food had still not arrived called and said they got backed up. There was no sorry no compensation. Just a brush off. Well let me start off by saying this is my first time eating foschini's pizza so I ordered two large pies one being half plain cheese pizza and half pepperoni shrimp then I ordered a second pie one being half and half plain cheese pizza the other half mushroom and onion we also got a side of broccoli rabe sauteed mind you so let me start off by saying they delivered the first pie which was the half cheese half pepperoni shrimp sadly the lady must have confused what I said because when it arrived it was literally half pepperoni and half shrimp there was no regular cheese so right there they lowered themselves 4 out of 5 stars when I called them up about it they quickly made another Pizza so it helped it's good to know they fixed their mistakes properly and in a calm cool Manor the pizza was pretty good I couldn't argue about it it was tasty and delicious although in a town full of pizzas it's kind of hard to say which one is it's kind of hard to say which one is the best point is would I come back.... yes I do believe so I just hope next time I order they will get a right on the first try LOL read more

I think I like this place better than most reviewers. It seems to cater to the phone order / takeout and delivery customer, but we were traveling so we ate there. It's a very simple place, with very friendly staff. I was impressed by the number of items on the menu, there is plenty of selection. I had a salad and the spaghetti arrabiata, (and brought in a six pack from the liquor store next door). Everything was great! Low prices, friendly staff, great food! I will admit that I don't appreciate white table cloths and waiters in suits, so if you want this, go across the street. read more

I ordered a chicken finger fry pizza pie after waiting almost an hour FOR PIZZA, the delivery arrives and is wrong. They sent me chicken fingers and fries?!?! Ok, maybe a misunderstanding....delivery guy apologized and called someone who was going to send the correct order. I call myself and ask how much longer I would have to wait and I'm told 30 minutes not including delivery time which means I would wait another hour for my pizza!!!!! I have only gone in this place and ordered slices of pizza for lunch by picking the ones that are behind the glass. Those slices are the best in this area. The other places in Lyndhurst are pretty much the same. They are equivalent to the NY style pizza restaurants I like. I can't comment on any other items on the menu since I have not ordered them. Very good pizza! Must get it well done however. If you are going to order from here you need to order just a pie and appetizers. Regular food is not great. The best new addition is the byob inside. Great for a family night when you would like to keep the budget low. They also have a location in dumont that is just as good in quality! Definitely recommend for a Friday night when you don't feel like cooking. read more
