I stopped here to get food I ordered on the TooGoodtoGo app and was pleasantly surprised. It's a small pizza joint in Clifton which I've never been to before so I didn't know what to expect. The price for the food was $3.99 which is a real bargain. I ended up with four slices of pizza. A pepperoni, buffalo chicken, and two veggie slices. The counter guys were great and even warmed up the slices before I left. The pepperoni slice was good, very cheesy which is a plus. The buffalo chicken slice was one of best I ever had, perfect amount of heat and chicken was great. The two veggie slices smelled great and were also very good according to the consumer.....lol. The TooGoodtoGo app earned this place another try. I will be back to order more items in the future. Glad I found this place. read more

I hate tearing down pizza joints and am rating based only on their abomination of a Sicilian pie. It was inedible and overcooked. They did put a ton of cheese on the pie which I appreciate, but the crust was thick and tough to chew. I ended up throwing the whole pie out. This is the first time since I started ordering wings from here that I was thoroughly disappointed. I dunno what counts as a normal sized wing, but what I got today can't be it. I ordered 36 wings. Typically, the entire pan is filled with no spaces. This time, there was at least an inch or so of space from the laid out chicken wings to the edge of the pan. If you see the size of the wings, you'll understand why. What I got was the equivalent of the 24 wing order in terms of volume. The wings weren't even as long as my index finger. Each wing took literally one bite. Not even a full bite, mind you. Also, they don't actually give you an extra container of blue cheese. I've ordered wings with extra blue cheese dip 6 times ($0.50 each) and it's always been 3 containers. I recently stopped ordering with the extra dip and it turns out, they still give you 3 containers. I don't think I'll be ordering wings from Master Pizza again. Which is too bad because, I really did enjoy their wings and the sauce. All it takes is one bad experience and this was it. Ordered through the Slice app-got a call saying that they didn't have a delivery person, so I changed the order to pickup...not realizing that there are multiple Master Pizzas (d'oh). Called a few minutes later to see if I could cancel (I don't have my car at the moment and it's a bit far to walk 10 miles!). Seemed to be too late, so I told them to just keep/give away the food. Well, I get a call 10 minutes later saying the manager was going to make an exception and deliver (they actually don't deliver to Carlstadt which was the original problem-totally understandable!). Plus, they were super kind over the phone. Seriously? I mean, 5 stars for customer service right there. BUT WAIT! We got our food (plain pizza, mozzarella sticks, a garden salad)-OMG WAS IT GOOD!! Pizza was absolutely perfect (and truthfully it was still warm when we got it-again, 10 miles away? That's awesome.), mozzarella sticks are delicious and their homemade Italian dressing is so tasty (it's simple). The kicker? I had two pies delivered. The first one was pepperoni, sausage, onions, and cherry peppers. I asked for extra sauce, they didn't do that. However, the pizza tasted awesome! I wanted to give them a rating lower for not doing what I asked but, it really did taste good... it just needed more sauce. The crust was nice and not too crispy, the sauce (what little there was) was good and not too sweet, and all the toppings tasted good and not old. The second pie was a square pizza. Just cheese and pepperoni. This time, they did put extra sauce on that one. I actually didn't like the square pizza. I didn't like how the crust was so chewy and doughy. There is a place in Jersey City where they call their square pizza a Brooklyn Slice. The crust on that thing is crunchy... like they toasted it. I like that much better. Overall, this place is not bad. If they would have actually listened and put extra sauce on both pies, I would be happy. Dressing was a watered down BLAH Italian dressing with old Parm mixed in. Oh, the croutons were super soggy as well. Mozz Sticks - why I expected. Frozen pre made. Wings - Small and pasty. Very soggy exterior with an overly sweet sauce. Thanks for charging for the blue cheese dressing and celery. "Grandmas Pie" - Far cry from what a grandmas pie is. Sauce was horrible Regular Pie - Junk wanna be pizza that would rival and slice from 711 or a gas station. However the dough was crisp. Coke - Perfection So basically this place was not good at all. Came to order pizza and I had my sister who has health problems. I ordered and we waited for our food. My sister health problem includes a stomach problem that sometimes when I'm out she makes a loud burp. It's embarrassing enough for me already but it's not in her hands. Got two salads with grill chicken which ,they give you plenty of!! Mozzarella sticks - the sauce is thick and sweet yum. Lastly , we got a surprise of Zeppolies it was a nice touch ! I'm a large fan of Buffalo Chicken wraps, and I gotta say. Of all the recent pizza spots I've gone to asking for this item, this place has got to be ones that has got it right. The buffalo sauce had just the perfect amount of spice to sauce ratio. It was amazing. My girlfriend also got blessed. She ordered a Mancotti Pasta and I just found myself taking more bites out of her plate then mine! I don't know how they do it but it seems as though their chefs are creme of the crop.
