If you like Halloween and drinks, this is the bar for you decoration. Wires was amazing. The drinks was unbelievable. Great my favorite was the out for blood. It was in a blood bag the balance between alcohol and fruit juice was amazing not to sweet not to bitter . I was able to drink two of them and got a nice balance drink that was great I want thanks to yelp elite for the invitation and I hope to see more.
Always going to be one of our go to bars! Especially when speakeasy burgers are out front. We love the drinks and the bartenders are always friendly. We typically sit outside but there's plenty of seating inside and out, love their espresso martini and the fact that they have their own parking lot.
Absolutely adore this place! The cocktails are on point and the staff are super friendly and engaging. Joe and I stopped in for some midday cocktails and were the only ones in there for most of the time and enjoyed chatting with the staff the whole time. We'd previously only been there for Yelp events and will definitely be back for more :)
First time checking out this spot and it was great ! Smaller parking lot and I'm sure they get filled up pretty quick. Very low profile in the area and seems as if not much people visit because they don't know about it. From our recent experience , definitely a nice spot to enjoy a drink and relax and just socialize. They offer rental options as well for the small hall with bartenders , setups, etc. they are more of a whiskey house and has some limitations on drinks , but definitely worth a try and visit for the ambiance and drinks
The only bar that was open early on a Sunday after we had brunch in the area. Since then, my friends and I always try making plans to visit our favorite bar. Anything you try on the menu is fabulous, but if you don't see anything, the bar tenders are more than happy to make you something. They are so creative and are very knowledgeable. They have an outside area, a main room and another room in the back, so plenty of space to sit. The day we came Cas had on anime and we were loving it I haven't been able to go due to my schedule, but they always have the coolest events happening at their bar. Hopefully one day soon
First visit to Forward Slash, a craft beer and spirits blending house, and the space itself makes a strong first impression. The interior features a small but inviting bar with a handful of tables, plus a covered outdoor porch that's ideal on a beautiful March evening. We grabbed a table outside with plans to sample a few cocktails and settle in for the night. The menu offered several intriguing selections. I started with the margarita, while my guest ordered a glass of cabernet. The server asked if I'd like their signature salt blend adhered with what I understood to be tallow. Thinking it might resemble something like Tajín, I agreed -- that turned out to be a mistake. The margarita leaned heavily lime-forward -- not inherently bad, but the citrus overwhelmed everything else to the point that I couldn't distinguish much nuance. The signature salt blend was unfortunately the bigger miss: largely flavorless with a slightly greasy aftertaste that detracted from the drink rather than enhancing it. My guest's cabernet was fine in quality, but the pour felt modest. I understand a standard pour is 5 oz, yet for the price point I would expect a slightly more generous serving. Out of curiosity, we looked up the bottle retail price (around $20 for a 750ml), which made the by-the-glass pricing feel particularly steep. The atmosphere is pleasant and I can see how their special events could make for a lively group outing. However, for us, the value proposition just wasn't there. My Scottish blood simply won't allow me to spend $30+ (before tip) for two small, underwhelming drinks. Nice setting, but likely not our spot -- though it may very well resonate with a different demographic.
Another first! Nestled away in a quiet corner sits this little gem. The drink menu is extensive. While you wait for your expertly crafted cocktail, take a gander at the interesting tales of distilleries they use to blend for their craft cocktails. We had the pleasure to meet Tim, the owner/operator who excudes enthusiasm for his product and ensuring the clientele feels welcome. The space appears to be a bit small but they do offer outside seeting. Happy hour is during select hours. But don't go on a Tuesday or you'll miss out as they are closed on Tuesdays. Hope to come back again to explore more menu options.
My husband was gifted a membership here for Christmas and he has enjoyed this location quite a bit. They have a great selection of blended whisky/bourbon/rye drinks, but they also have a gin and vodka that is distilled in house and makes some really great drinks (like the Florida tea ceremony and their version of the espresso martini). They have a few tables inside and outside as well as a small patio to sit and chat with friends. All of the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Great place to stop in and try some unique and different cocktails.
I asked some friends to join me here for happy hour on a Friday night. I first experienced Forward/Slash at this year's pre-Halloween Yelp Elite party and was impressed with the ambiance, the space and the fantastic bar staff. We were greeted by a new bartender, Chase, and he is an excellent addition to the team. He makes fantastic cocktails, is a great conversationist and a lot of fun. We had many pleasant conversations throughout the night as we sat at the bar. The drinks we tried included my past favorite, The Gomez (tequila), created by Cas. He was also attending the bar and although this cocktail was on the seasonal listing and not really available, he said he had enough to make at a few more drinks. (Now, that is catering to the customer! Thanks, Cas!) The Pumpkin Spice Expresso Martini (vodka) was another highlight. Other cocktails we tried included The Florida Tea Ceremony (gin), the Dirty Martini (vodka) and the Experimental B/More Mait Whiskey (a two finger pour combination-see pic). Everyone was happy with each drink selected! In addition, Speakeasy Burger had food for sale in the parking lot area on this night. They made delicious smash burgers that complimented our perfect combination of cocktails! Bar Manager, Bric, was also there, as was another bartender, Julia, that I met at the Yelp event. It was great to see and talk with both of them again. This place is a jewel in the Winter Park area and is not to be missed if you are looking for excellent specialty cocktails, a cool vibe and a fun night out.
We love Forward/Slash. Great drinks. Beautiful little intimate bar. The bartenders are fun to talk to, have great recommendations and are friendly. They also host some fun makers markets and have awesome holiday inspired drinks. Five stars every time.
I got try some delicious drinks at the last yelp event I attended and couldn't help but visiting! The bartenders are so cool and truly know their drinks. I really enjoyed how vibey and dark the inside is, perfect for a date night! I tried the the gothic revival at the yelp event and loved it, this time they recommended their espresso martini and even offered to make it decaf since I sadly have some caffeine sensitivity. Absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back.
We came in for drinks and the Sushi Saint pop up and had a great experience. I love the back room area where they host the pop ups. Service was great and there were plenty of seating options for a smaller location. I always get the Florida tea ceremony. It's my favorite cocktail. It has gin and chamomile tea and has lovely floral flavor. My second drink was the dirty martini. It was exceptional. I absolutely adore their blue cheese goat cheese olives. This is my favorite dirty martini in the area. I love everything about Forward Slash.
I have been coming here ever since they opened, almost 3 years ago. I have also celebrated my birthday here for the past 2 years- no doubt, my favorite bar!! They have THE best espresso martini. The bartenders & owners are so friendly and attentive. Its a chill vibe & they also have an amazing happy hour M-F (closed on T).
This place is much smaller than it appears on the outside, it was cute and cozy inside despite the super high ceilings. When we walked in, I wasnt sure if we were meant to order at the bar or find a seat. When we got to the bar someone offered a menu and told us we can sit wherever. We found a quiet spot in the corner and ordered. I got the seasonal To the Sun and my partner ordered the dirty martini. Both were delicious. They don't offer food, but it's a cute spot for a cocktail. Hours are a bit odd, and it was pretty dead for a Friday night. read more
WINTER PARK, FL: Forward/Slash is Florida's first craft distillery and blending house. They make beautiful cocktails and have a nice menu to choose from. Their concept is unique in that they hand select spirits from other distilleries and create their own blends. Vodka, rum, bourbon, and gin blends can be enjoyed straight up or in one of their crafted cocktails. We met one of the owners, Tim, who was fascinating to talk to about the business. Leashed and friendly dogs can go inside to order, but then must enjoy the outdoor patio. There is a tented section with Adirondack chairs and small tables and also regular tables right outside the entrance. Bring your own food and check out live entertainment and a food truck. read more

Gin and tonic was great, however, the "6 oz" wine pour was modest (and that's being generous). read more
I recently went with my brother in law who is an expert on all things whiskey and he spoke very highly of this place and I think visited 3-4 in a couple of days he was in town for Thanksgiving. I appreciate you can do full or half pours and their selection of cocktails is great. My sister in law got a holiday cocktail that was so creative that had cranberry with mustard and it was amazing. The service is great, everyone is friendly and helpful. The space is smaller inside but has a nice outside covered patio and ample space outside. I am glad I finally got to make it and look forward to my next visit. Also, don't sleep on the Krampus release. A warm cinnamon roll hug. read more
Was here for yelp with me and and had to bring Hubby to check out these awesome drinks for a date night. I have to say I was equally impressed and was pleasantly surprised that they were not busy during dinner time. The crowd started rolling in around 9 PM so if you wanna go and grab a drink early, this is an ideal spot. The bartenders are fun and engaging. The drinks are unique and delicious, and honestly, this was a great hidden treasure that I'm so glad I was invited to Yelp event and I am recommending to everyone since read more

Came out to Forward Slash for the first time last night. My husband and I sat at the bar where it was quiet at first and it gave us a chance to get to know our bartenders and about the distillery. We were educated different types of liquor licenses and the process as I mentioned I'm a tequila fan and how long the process takes to get approved to actually create your own tequila due to international regulations on agave. I went with what I believe is a new seasonal drink and even though I had a couple, the name keeps escaping me. I think it was red light, green light? But it was delicious and I highly recommend if you're not a whiskey/ bourbon person but love a well made drink, I believe you'll love it as much as I did. My husband fell in love with the house made rhapsody blend and said it's one of the best whiskey blends he's ever had and he's a consultant and a veteran .. so he's had a lot of whiskey in his life. Ha! Their customer service is outstanding and I love the food truck support. We enjoyed the pass progressive once we got hungry. They have some of the best birria and Forward Slash has no problem with you bringing in your food as well. We had everyone at the bar going out to get some because it looked and smelled so good. Forward Slash has a great chill vibe, fantastic local distillery, and great people. Will definitely be back soon! read more
I happened upon Forward Slash after selling some clothes at the Avalon exchange thrift shop. Next door to the winter park Porch restaurant, this whiskey blending house was a new experience for me. Rather than a distillery (which I thought it was), Forward Slash partners with small distilleries around the country, purchasing their barrels, and creating their own blends which they can sell by the bottle or in their tasting room. Having a "tasting room" rather than a bar means they can only serve alcohol prepared in their facility, so their cocktails never contain liqueur (until they start making their own...stay tuned) I was torn between a sweet bourbon drink (my usual go-to) and an espresso martini (which has been a fall craving of mine) and the bartender guaranteed the espresso martini would be the best I've ever had in Orlando, AND that he could make it with bourbon and it would be fantastic. I was impressed with the drink overall, but personally I think will keep my bourbon and espresso separate from now on :D Just seeing him prepare the espresso fresh, I have no doubt the vodka espresso martini would have surpassed any other I've had. (I tasted the fruity, pink gin drink also in the photo and it was very refreshing!) read more

Perfect place for a drink. As you walk in you feel a great atmosphere. When you order you drink you dont have to wait for it, tbey will bring it to you table. They have inside and outside sitting. They also offer distellery tours until 9 pm and they have two different tours, was not able to be on time for the tour but i will next time. They good space for parking. Now at this time of the year the have a spooky menu for halloween which I try tbe pumpkin spice expresso martini and it was so delicious. Service was so great and friendly staff. Definitely coming back. read more
I love it here. This is a distillery/tasting room, cocktail bar, and bottle shop. They've created an integrated cocktail program to compliment the spirits they produce with an ever-changing menu. It's a bit smaller than expected but they have a patio space as well. I personally love the intimate vibe indoors - but we also caught a killer sunset outside. No food is offered on site but one of the particular nights I was there they invited a vendor "Dean's oysters" and that was totally a vibe. Service was quick and the bartenders who worked there seem to really enjoy it from the looks of it. Hands down one of the best expresso martinis I've had in Orlando. read more

I stumbled across this place by chance on Saturday and I'm glad it happened. I had no idea it was there after living near there for many years. I had been craving a real Old Fashioned for the entire week and had the original. Then I tried the Southern next. The Bartenders were fantastic and I also chatted with some of the other guests. I will be back and will bring my friends with me next time. Highly recommend to anyone. read more

A distillery 2 minutes from my house? Very dangerous and very exciting. Although it is so close, we did drive cause ... Florida. Parking was a breeze though with the lot right next door that they share with a wedding dress shop. There was a bit of a wait to go inside Forward Slash to order, but thankful for a useful texting system especially on a grand opening night. Technology is beautiful. We got our text that it was our turn -- inside is smaller than I pictured with just 2 tables and about 6 bar seats. There were additional tables outside but few places to stand and sip. First round was the Southern Style Old Fashioned & Florida Tea Ceremony. With the cayenne in the old fashioned, I imagined it to have some heat but there was zero and I'm usually a wimp. The Tea Ceremony reminded me much of a daiquiri, but a little less liquor forward. Nice and citrusy. Second round was the G&T, which was what you'd expect, as well as the Pot and Collins, which I was not a big fan of... it felt like it was missing something. Maybe it was just that round, but I'll order something else next time. A flight of bourbon, perhaps? Excited for this addition to Winter Park and excited to see what they do with their menu and spot! read more

This place is pretty new, the ambiance on the inside is nice but there is very little indoor seating. The outdoor area was pretty nice as well. Although I did not spend much time talking to the bartenders they seem very friendly and they were very quick to make drinks and they even brought them outside to us. The reason for 3 stars is because I just was not a fan of the drinks. I did not like the flavor of whiskey itself or the vodka in the martini which was a bit dissapointing because I have a decent bourbon collection and was hoping I would like the whiskey. I also wish there were more drink options. read more

This has become my new favorite cocktail bar in Winter Park! They feature new cocktails regularly and they are all truly amazing. They also distill their own spirits which is wild - have you tried their tequila/mezcal "Sin Nombre"? Phenomenal! Their bartenders remember you and are always down for a chat. They also have food trucks parked outside (Helloooo Mohawk BBQ!!!) Porsche events every month, and their happy hour is great! Really looking forward to their Halloween themed cocktails! read more
My first visit to Forward Slash was primarily to check it out for a future group to visit. Owner/Managers were very informative and interactive. I had the Southern Style Old Fashioned, which was quite tasty. Small inside area around the bar, another outdoor covered area on the way in, and tents (which I was scoping out) for their once-a-month cigar and spirit pairings. If you are in the downtown area give this place a shot. Plenty of parking all around. read more

Whether you're a bourbon lover or a cocktail connoisseur you'll want to check out Forward/Slash! This small business hasn't been open long but they're definitely making a name for themselves with the passion they have for their craft! Feel free to sit outdoors under a covered area, inside at the bar, or at one of their table tops! We ordered the Southern Style Old Fashioned and A Proper Espresso Martini. The old fashioned is powerful but smooth and the espresso martini was among one of the best I've had! Of course we couldn't close out our evening without sampling their blends, so we go the bourbon flight. This was the first experience I've had with flights that they give you water to tame down your tasting, but don't forget to try it neat first for the full flavor! I can't wait to see the growth in the months to come, and I will absolutely bring my bourbon loving friends to try it for themselves! read more

Stumbled upon this great place and found some unique drinks and a cool date vibe. With it being our first time, the bartender took his time explaining everything and found cocktails that matched our tastes for the night. Highly recommend!! read more
This place is so cool. The customer service was great, the drinks were delicious. There's interesting explanations of where their liquors come from in the back of their menu. My favorite cocktail was The Apparition, but I also tried The Romero and liked that one too. They have a good variety of options, so there's something for everyone and the drinks are a decent size. They also had the place decorated for Halloween and had candles in the ceiling and cobwebs and other Halloween decor all around for the Halloween season. read more

Forward/Slash at the Yelp Celestial Ball and their after party at the distillery was the best whiskey distilling and cocktail crafting experience I have had in Florida. I've been to a lot a distillery around the US but the service we got from the staff and owner was by far the best experience I've personally ever had. The craft cocktails were incredible the staff was knowledgeable and entertaining. Highlight was seeing the still 'BOB' and talking to the owner about the distillation process. This is a must stop for any foodie on vacation. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 Dietary restrictions The staff was very attentive to possible allergies while crafting cocktails. read more
I loved all the cocktails I had here! The menu has something for everyone. I think it's cool that they also blend their own spirit but they don't really use their blended spirit in their cocktails. The vibe was very chill yet lively. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable with their recommendations. Parking was easy since there's a big parking lot attached. I'll be back again and will be bringing friend! read more

It's small and chic. No pressure to do anything but listen to some good music while getting some friendly customer service. I went on a Thursday evening and feel it was the perfect day to experience the atmosphere without the food trucks and big crowds. We both enjoyed out mix drinks. The sampler was exactly that. I've been to plenty of distilleries and this was the smallest serving I've ever had in a flight sampler. The merchandise is priced pretty high, I always support local and buy a glass, shirt or hat but these were a bit pricey for what they are. I collect high end whiskey but none of the samples from the flight wowed me enough for the price point. It's definitely worth trying, I would even suggest it for a weeknight outing, but I don't see me adding this to the frequently visited rotation. read more

I loved the service. You don't need to stand at the for your drink they have servers who bring it to your table. It's a laid-back atmosphere with perfect lighting and decor. Drinks are very good. I have the Apparition and the Proper Expresso Martini. Moderately priced. The distillery tour was already closed at 9pm however I do want to come back to try it as I'm sure I won't be disappointed. They have plenty of outdoor and some indoor seating. Parking is right outside the property, and they are spacious, unlike many places within Winter Park. read more
FORWARD/SLASH recently opened to the public and a great addition to the winter park area! They offer blended whiskey, bourbon, and other liquors. The inside includes a small intimate bar area, high top bar tables, and additional seating outside. What I ordered: the Southern Style Old Fashioned, Gothic Revival, and the Bourbon Flight( which was my favorite). The flight included bourbon from MB Roland, Filibuster, and Boulder Spirits Bourbon. The first and last being my favorite and then randomly squeezed in a half oz of the smokey option from Boulder Spirits- Peated Malt and loved it. Next visit, I'd like to try Espresso Martini... Overall, I had a great experience at the bar speaking with Didi, Michael, and Tim...all of which are really friendly people. I'd recommend checking it out if you're looking for something new and different! read more
I attended an event hosted by The Writer's Block bookstore in the event space in the back. There was an additional bar set up back here for patrons of the event. An event ticket included a special cocktail which was delicious! I'm not sure what all was in it but I tasted mezcal and pineapple juice. The event was crowded and there were no seats in the event space so I took my drink (and my book!) outside to the covered seating area. This was nice and the Adirondack chairs were comfortable. My friend joined me and we moved inside to the main bar area. I ordered the Gothic Revival which I had seen was popular and it was amazing! I was not sure how those flavors would blend together but the drink was delightful! There was a burger food truck that evening and they brought the food inside to us. Overall, the service was quick and all the drinks were made right in the bar area. The prices were good and not overpriced. read more
This was my second visit to Forward Slash and it's safe to say i'm in love. This is such a neat place and everyone is so knowledgeable and friendly! We went for a drink to celebrate my friends birthday. One of the owners came out and offered us a sample of their Rhapsody whiskey since it was my friends first time visiting. I thought that was great customer service, way to make an impact! As for the whiskey, it was lovely! Usually higher proof spirits are too hot for my liking but Rhapsody went down smooth! I am a big whiskey lover so I really appreciate having a blending house here in the Orlando area. Birthday boy got a whiskey flight, I got the southern old fashioned to start then the tropical daiquiri and our other friend got Semester Abroad and Gothic Revival. All of the cocktails were wonderfully crafted and the prices were fair. We enjoyed learning about acid-correcting with the Gothic Revival! I can't wait to go back for some of their other events! If you are a fan of craft cocktails you cannot miss this place! read more

Great ambiance, there's an intimate indoor area surrounding the bar on the inside and more covered seating provided on the outside. I went on a Saturday afternoon during a Kentucky Derby celebration, there was a food truck available and there appeared to be a waiter bringing the food to and from customers. There's a designated parking lot for this establishment but street parking is available also. I enjoyed the espresso martini and the table next to us turned to my friend and I to share how great it smelled, the coffee aroma was wafting through the air and it was equally as tasty. I'll be back for a date night in the near future. read more
