I went here for a group gathering/lunch and lemme tell you guys this place is so good. The noodles were crispy and fresh. Eggplant was spicy but not too spicy in fact it was very crispy and pretty ok and I take dumplings very serious and lemme say they're good but a bit salty and soft. This was relatively satisfying experience a bit on the expensive side but the staff are incredibly nice always checking on us to see if we needed anything else or wanted for food and tea. Great staff and the ambiance is relatively relaxing very interesting. BUT BUT BUT HALT the downside is a bit too much MSG in the food Haiyahh!!!. My mouth felt dry after and was very thirsty but overall still decent. But I may have to reconsider going there again tho...

After walking around for 30 minutes...looking at chicken - American, Korean; burgers -premium, non-premium; sushi; and ramen nothing was appealing to me. After asking if the restaurant accepts credit card, they said yes. If they didn't, I would have had to find a bank and probably left since I didn't want to walk anymore. They gave me a cold glass of water, which I quickly drank since I didn't know I was dehydrated. She refilled my glass while I perused the menu. Thank you so much! Finally saw beef and tomato broth which would be great for a cold day. Ordered and it came very quickly. This hit the spot without me knowing that this is what I wanted. Warm, cozy, meat vegetable and noodles... the pretext meal. Thank you for the wonderful meal. Always great food especially when you don't know what you want to eat sometimes.

When life is lackadaisical and you need an uplifting force or encouragement for catharsis to be resilient as an awakening, dumplings are summoned. It brings presence to every bite for awareness and genuine aliveness. My emotional pain cannot be disconnected for healing. As I sat in silence I checked my email waiting for my order fulfillment and arrival. This business is a local cafe, not quite a restaurant but very Asian specifically a medley of Chinese dumplings and heavy Japanese decor atmosphere. I was very bewildered of this dumpling business is Japanese or Chinese cuisine, or possibly both incorporated? Asian fusion? Japanese beckoning cat, maneki-neko 招き猫, is heavy presence for decor atmosphere throughout the entire cafe. There is one large Japanese beckoning cat with one paw raised in a beckoning gesture by the cash wrap register. This beckoning cat is adorable! The menu is very simple offerings but does not describe the contents in detail. It is not a extensive list as it is a cafe. The server/cashier advise to order first, sit to eat and pay last like a full service restaurant. This business has been listed in my Yelp bookmark to try for a long time. The slightly warm temperature has teased me to induce Spring Fever as the first full day post Daylight Saving Time, 2026 and I was outdoors for walk as exercise. Sauces and condiments are available at a station counter. There is one large TV. Background music is somewhat loud audible and sourced by Spotify. Customer service is average. There is one unisex facility on the premise and is relatively clean. There is a small parking lot in the front shared with neighboring businesses. This business is located in a small shopping complex named Metro Plaza. Chicken dumpling noodle soup, $12.00 The dumplings were pan seared fried, unfortunately not traditionally boiled especially for noodle soup. The dumplings are average. The noodles were rice vermicelli with half boiled egg and scallions in Japanese Tonkotsu Ramen soup base broth. The Japanese Tonkotsu Ramen soup base broth and half boiled egg is a replica of Japanese Ramen noodle soup. It was served piping hot. Chinese soup spoon Tangzhi ladle where the end is at a angle is provided with one disposable wooden chopstick as utensils. Jasmine Tea, cold $1.50 This was awful! It was one tea bag filled with ice. I did not taste the Jasmine aromatic flavor. Stay away from ordering any drink as Song Dumpling Cafe is good for dumplings. It is certainly no bubble tea business to obtain quality Chinese tea. After my MTA NYC Transit SBS Q52 bus ride, I walked from Woodhaven Boulevard moving east on Metropolitan Avenue to gain access.

Firstly, I'd always recommend getting the Shoyu or Tamashii Ramen, unless you really prefer some other kind. In my opinion, these are the best. I've also had some other things from here, like the pork buns, takoyaki, Eel on rice, and curry. Would recommend- the Ramen, Pork Buns, Kaarage. Solid - Eel on Rice, pork katsu, takoyaki. Good for a meal but I would recommend other things first. Kinda disappointing - curry. Just tastes like regular curry that you can make at home. At some point I'd like to try the Okonomiyaki.

The Kara Miso Ramen was better and I enjoyed the spicy taste of it. We also tried their Pork Buns, which were yummy and had a nice smokey taste. We had Lucky Chicken, a Japanese beer that's a red IPA that we both enjoyed. Overall, this is a nice spot for ramen that offers vegetarian options as well as other dishes, and is worth a visit if you're in the area and craving ramen. I would definitely revisit but this isn't my go-to ramen spot in Queens.

Maybe not cozy but you're not really going to linger here. Service is good but a little hectic. Friendly staff but they get a pass as they dish out noodles, apps, drinks and more. You're spoiled for choice here but everything is pretty good so I'll call out the extraordinary items. The fish broths are amazing, sweet in the seafood way with a deep richness of flavor. The black fish slices (poorly translated from Chinese, sorry) were satisfying. Boneless and tender. It's a small cost to upgrade from regular fish (I believe it's grass carp) but it's worth it though unfortunately I can't help much in terms of naming the upgrade in English. Their popcorn chicken is well executed, with light crunchy batter and well-seasoned meat. Their fruit drinks are nice too, including the pomelo grape and the peach. Ask for less sugar if that's your thing. Portions are ridiculous but admittedly we over ordered on purpose. Also, it's a common move to ask for the free noodle refill before getting your leftovers to go though we did not partake in the excess here. The bowls are already never-ending buckets of goodies. We did take our leftover broth though. No shame. In fact I'd be more ashamed if we wasted the soup.

What a neighborhood GEM!! Kuku Korean was fantastic! Fresh, tasty food at reasonable prices!…read more We (6 of us) were in the neighborhood for a Valentine's Day celebration and searched Yelp for a good ethnic restaurant in the area. We came across Kuku Korean and said YESSS, this is the place to go! The only wrench in our plans was that Kuku Korean doesn't take reservations; not even on Valentine's Day! They warned us that they expected to be very busy that evening, and to expect a wait. Ok, we made plans to go, but also made a Resy with another restaurant close by, as a backup plan in case there was a long wait for a table. But really, Kuku Korean was our preferred first choice. After our V Day event, we rushed over to Kuku Korean to see what the wait time was for a table for 6. It was just after 6pm, and the stars were aligned for us, because we got the last large table available! Woo Hoooo! Happy Valentine's Day to us!! We quickly cancelled our Resy with the other restaurant (sorry!) and perused Kuku Korean's fabulous menu. Our MENU (shared by 6ppl): ~ Seafood Pajeon ($24/large): Crispy battered pancake made with green onions & seafood (mussels, clams, squid, and shrimp). This was phenomenal! So much seafood and such a comforting dish...get this! ~ Veg Japche ($21): Stir-fried Korean vermicelli with Kuku soy-garlic Japchae sauce and assorted veggies. This dish was also available with various proteins but we opted for Veg since we were ordering other meat dishes. This dish was so flavorful and delicious. ~ Kuku Bibimbap ($24): Seasoned vegetables over rice, topped with a fried egg. Served with Kuku spicy bibim sauce. Again, you have the option of adding protein to this dish but we kept it veg. Another great dish! ~ Pork Galbi ($28): Char-grilled Pork ribs marinated in Kuku sauce, served with sauteed onions. Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. The pork was cut in thick slices, which was surprising, but wow, this was phenomenal! So tasty and lean, and just delicious. ~ Beef Bulgogi ($33): Sauteed thinly sliced beef rib-eye marinated in Kuku sauce with mushroom, Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. Another phenomenal dish. Bursting with flavor. -- Spicy Squid ($28): Stir-fried squid in spicy Kuku gochujang sauce, onions, hot pepper and carrot. Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. This squid was prepared perfectly; not over cooked nor rubbery! Great dish. - Ban Chan: generous unlimited servings; fresh & delicious. These 6 dishes, plus Ban Chan was perfect for 6 ppl to share. We finished everything and were fully satisfied. Every single dish was delicious and we ALL said we wanted to return to Kuku Korean to repeat some dishes and try new dishes. Customer service and atmosphere were great. The busser staff did an amazing job and were even more attentive than our server (who we only saw twice)...kudos to the bussers! They were so hard working, with a smiling, friendly attitude! Give them a raise! Looking forward to a return visit to Kuku Korean...hopefully SOON!!

I went during Ramadan with my partner to break my fast, and they were so accommodating. Tip: call them to make a quick reservation beforehand. Next, onto the food. We ordered the dumplings, lamb stew with naan, and their special noodles. Everything was absolutely mind blowing. The lamb was perfectly seasoned and fell right off the bone. The bread was soaked in flavor. The noodles are perfect for a cold night. The noodles are mixed in house and fresh, and you can definitely taste the difference in fresh noodles and store brought. Their service was impeccable. Our host was gracious and greeted us in Arabic as soon as we walked in. He took our order fairly quickly, and the food did not take that long to come out. Whenever he spoke, he had his hand over his heart and was so friendly. I cannot speak anything but praise about this place. It's amazing and I plan to go there soon again with my whole family. What a way to end the week…read more Since moving to Brooklyn, I have had my fair share of Lagman, a popular dish in Uyghur cuisine. Cafe Kashkar in Brighton Beach, Nargis Cafe in Sheepshead Bay, this is the dish that keeps on giving. Until eating here. I will just keep this one all to myself. Everything here is right, on top of right, on top of right, on top of right. Friendly, fast, and efficient service. A pretty ambiance that does not hit you over the head with a walking stick, and some of the best Lagman I have eaten this side of the East River. These folks know what they are doing. To come here and not order some naan is a huge insult, so I did that. Even that is done properly. The naan is light and full of flavor. It needs no oil or anything to spruce it up. Enjoy it for what it is. The Lagman hits all the right notes, checking every box that Lagman needs to have. Ample and flavorful meat? Check. Fresh hand pulled noodles that are also ample? Check. Crispy, sautéed vegetables? Check. About a quarter of the way through my meal, one of the owners came up to me and offered me chili oil to put in the dish. I obliged as I learned from Cafe Kashkar the importance of adding flavor to this dish. It really does elevate everything on the plate and brings all those flavors that are already on the plate, forward. Everything is rather affordable as well. Before the New York Times finds out about this little hole in the wall and blows this restaurant's cover, I will close this review by simply stating this restaurant is a winner, without all the aforementioned accolades.
