Miso Ramen, Curry Ramen, and Veggie Ramen
    Kathleen W.

Came here on a cold day for some ramen on a Sunday afternoon. The inside was cozy and the staff were super welcoming. I decided to get the miso ramen which came with veggies, chasu, and ground pork. The ramen soup was thick and a little more salty than I like. The noodles were nice and al dente but I wish I got some more meat. The chasu slices I did have were pretty tender and flavorful. Overall an average bowl of ramen but it does hit the spot.

I think this place might have the best ramen in all of Queens. We got there just when they opened and were seated by the bench tables. They also have stool style seating and asked customers which they preferred. We ordered the ika karaage (squid), champon ramen (non spicy) and miso ramen. The ika karaage was freshly fried and came on a bed of salad (lettuce, red onions) which was a first but it was a good palette cleanser before we moved onto the ramen. It also came with two dipping sauces: honey mustard (maybe?) and caesar salad sauce. I had my eye on the champon ramen but wasn't sure if I could handle the spice level. Luckily the staff were able to make a non spicy version. The soup flavor of my ramen was so light (reminiscent of tonkotsu) that I could've drank it all (though I probably shouldn't). There were 2 mussels, regular sized shrimp, mini shrimp and a few pieces of octopus. Plentiful of ramen noodles at the bottom. It was definitely a very filling meal. I also tried some soup from the miso ramen and it was quite saltier in taste compared to the light flavor of the champon soup. Service was great as the staff were always refilling our water cups (with the prettiest rainbow glass pitcher) and clearing empty dishes from the table. Their bathroom was impeccably clean and I think it's the first time I've seen an air conditioner inside of one! All in all, this is a really great spot to get ramen in Queens/Forest Hills area.

My old favorite ramen spot closed not too long ago and I've been ima hunt for a new fave. This place has been holding its spot! Have yet to be disappointed! They're super quick with delivery and the flavor is always consistent!

    13. Buta Ramen (front)

Gave the place a try on a really cold night. Satisfied our cravings for hot bowls of ramen. I got the Buta ramen which looked simple on the wall photo but was a rich gingery broth with al dente noodles, Chasyu, toppings and ground pork (settled at the bottom). Champon had a clear light broth but the spice comes at the end of a spoonful - with seafood. The pork buns are filled with a couple slices of Chasyu- were good. Other menu items like donburi etc available for those who are not into ramen. Menu shows the lunch prices in ( ). The place was packed but we were put on a waitlist, not a lot of standing space though. Learned they don't take reservations. Fast service. Easily accessible - bus and subway (71st-continental) stops nearby. Usually hard to get parking (meter) in that area.

Location: Forest hills, NY Service: it was fine nothing supet special. Ambiance: Around 9pm not so much people. It was spacious and clean. Washroom is clean. Food: Love it that this store closes late. Def a go to for a savory ramen. Had champon- seafood lover like me can't resist the smell and the good chunks of different seafood mix. Had to leave some for my breakfast haha. Well cooked noodles. Karaage was perfect starter too. The chasyu ramen too is a must try! But the winner is the beef shitaki for me! Flavorful and best paired with white rice. Price- feels just right! Highly recommend.

Staff was very friendly, loved the broths, so flavorful! The veggie shio ramen was great for a chilly night and helped my cold. Also had purple taro fries and my sis had the cold noodles. Everything was great, will be back!

Had the okonomiyaki pancake and shio ramen. Great flavors and textures and good portion sizes Seating was quite ample, they have low tables and high tables. We were seated quite quickly in the afternoon Service was very attentive and friendly

Decent ramen with good portion size at a good price!! Cute setup and decor as well. Not my favorite but still hit the spot and at this price, not the cheapest but not overpriced either, can't complain

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. Was craving curry Katsu - I got pork which was very dry for me. But my boyfriend's unagi Don was delicious. The Kanu salad was a little on the heavier side with mayo. I would be back to try the chicken Katsu. Service was fast!

Walked in and was able to be seated in 15 minutes. The restaurant is heated well so even though we sat near the door it wasn't cold at all. Tried 2 kinds of ramen and the pork buns. The pork buns were really good! Everything came out to the table fairly quickly as well

To be honest, I stumbled on this ramen place and was soooo happy I found it. The first time I came in was after shopping at Sephora & was craving my favorite Food ever which is called "ikura". They had this bowl called "ikura don" and it means fish roe with rice. The first time I came, the waiter was very nice but dismissive (because it got busy). I understand if you're busy, just don't be rude to me.... The second time I came in I ordered Kurobota sausage and finally tried the ramen & it was pretty damn good ! This is such a nice place for a date ! Will be coming back to try more stuff !

I came here on a Saturday night with a party of 2 and we were seated pretty quickly. We ordered the: - Tamashii Ramen: 4/5 The broth was flavorful and light, and chashu was tender. The portion of chashu was a little smaller than I would've expected - it came with two small pieces but they were pretty thick cut - Miso Ramen: 3/5 The broth was rich and flavorful, and noodles were perfectly chewy. - Ika Karaage: 4/5 the squid was light and crispy and tasted great with the sauce. Overall, this is a great neighborhood ramen restaurant! The food was delicious and service was fast. I would definitely come back!

Ramen was okay, not something I'd crave. Shrimp tempura was lacking, they were soggy and oily. This is a one time try for sure.

Business was relatively quiet and rather empty on a Tuesday early afternoon for lunch as there were only two people and I subsequently became the third patron. Customer service is, indeed, as described by Yelpers to be attentive, efficient with order fulfillment and polite with reverence by good measures. I did receive a printed sales receipt to retain. I did leave a 20% gratuity for this male server who did served me well. Restroom facilities are relatively clean with a contemporary modern sink. There are Sakura cherry blossom branches that fills the ceiling for decorum. There are QR scan code laminated to the table at the corner to order.
