The folks here are very nice, but they struggle with responsiveness and customer service. If you hope for your printing work to be completed within a given timeframe or you're in a rush, look elsewhere. I came to Forthrite with a t-shirt printing job for my company. After a nice initial conversation during which they told me they could accommodate my order, 17 days of back-and-forth followed, at the end of which they told me they couldn't do the work any more. I'll need to start over with a different printing company now, even though in our first interaction I told Forthrite I hoped for the work to be done within two weeks -- meaning I'm even more behind schedule now. At one point they took a week (and a reminder from me) to respond to a single email. I can't speak to the quality of their finished product (which may be very good!) because I didn't get the chance for my order to be fulfilled. I'm not frustrated they can't fulfill my order -- it's OK to turn down work if you're too busy. But their lack of responsiveness resulted in them turning me down over two weeks after initially telling me they could do the work, which has put me way behind schedule. Hence my comment on responsiveness and customer service. read more

I have printed several jobs with Conor at Forthrite. Simply put: HE ROCKS. The prints I have gotten from him are clean, perfectly registered, and super professional. I have a very sensitive eye for color, I am very exacting when it comes to color, and I also pick colors that are difficult to match. Conor hits it right on the button every time. (I recommend giving him a color proof to match.) He is friendly, efficient, communicative, and delivers the work on time. Conor is a stellar fella. When I send a job his way, I know I can trust him to both put his all into the gig and to give me a square deal. When picking up prints, he's given me a run down of the challenges of a job and his techniques for dealing with them. You can simply tell he cares about doing good work and loves his craft, and it shows. Paid for a job to be done by a certain date (weeks out). Never received calls or notification of the job progress. I patiently waited, excited to get my prints. A few day AFTER the job was promised to be completed, I called to see what the hold up was. To my surprise, not only had they not finished my job, they hadn't even started it. And to top it off, they were NOW no longer interested in doing the project they had contracted to do. WORST customer service I've ever dealt with. Go elsewhere. read more

At first my graphic designer husband and I were excited to use Forthrite for a print job of t-shirts and tote bags for a summer camp that I run, based on the quote, overall aesthetic, and reviews. Unfortunately, the customer service is not up to par. When we contacted Conor to pick up our items on our agreed-upon date, he was out of town and said that he had us in his calendar for the next week; he admitted the mistake was entirely on his end. I understand that mistakes happen, but there had been clear correspondences about the due date, he already had our money, the circumstance of the due date was not flexible, and we needed our materials asap. Conor offered us a 20% discount to get the items to us 5 days late, which was too late for us. Unfortunately I had to rearrange my entire day (it was a Friday early afternoon and print shops around here are closed on the weekends and we needed the items by Sunday morning at the absolute latest) and scramble, PLUS pay someone else $100 to do a rush job within four hours. If you want to get a job done that you've paid for, I would go somewhere else where they are more organized and professional. read more

Conor is, without a doubt, one of the best printers I've ever worked with. He was attentive, patient and got my job done ahead of schedule. His pricing is fair, he was genuinely interested in my work and how he might best assist me in getting my items done within my budget, and even offered me a referral to another shop for another project as they might have been a bit more economical. Frankly, I'd rather pay him; I like his direct and "forthright" attitude and appreciate his candor and his understanding (as I am a small business owner, too). DO NOT HIRE!!!!!!!!! Don't ever use this guy. He's a complete A-hole! Conor at Forthrite doesn't follow your specific instructions and if he ever botches your job, he will place the blame solely on you and offer or do nothing to remedy the situation. He doesn't strive to match the colors you specify and his printing quality sucks as he does not color trap for his silkscreens. This guy is total scum, I can not emphasize this enough. The only thing forthrite is good at is taking all of your money forthwith and giving you major attitude. Do not use forthrite. Go to monolith printing, yes press, kabuki printing, harvest land or deisel or anywhere else but him. Go to gig posters dot com and you can find local shops. read more

Forthrite is great!! I had seen their posters around town for a long time and always admired their look. When it came time to get a nice poster done for our last album release I asked Conor at Forthrite to design and print them. He came up with multiple designs for me to choose from. The poster cam out looking fantastic and now I've seen them framed and hanging up in the homes of many friends and family.
