From the introductory call to the tasting to services on the day-of, Tim was just a joy to talk to and work with. He is possibly one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Accommodating, warm, generous, honest, and easygoing. He loves what he does and is passionate about making his customers happy; it really shows in the care that he puts into his food. And unlike other vendors for our wedding weekend who made me eventually feel like just another income-generating number -- with Tim, first and foremost, he always treated me and my family as people who deserved his attention and care. It showed in his responsiveness and in his flawless execution of planning, set up, and service on the day-of. I didn't need to worry about a thing. This is truly saying a lot because, as someone who negotiates contracts and runs transactions for a living, I'm probably one of the most detail-oriented, most-organized persons you'll ever meet. The food itself is just delicious. Guests were raving at how yummy his St. Louis ribs were. And let me tell you about his sauces. He gave me and my husband two bottles after our tasting, and I rationed those for almost an entire year so that I could always have a splash or two handy whenever I needed it. There really should be more caterers like Tim, and I thank him from the bottom of my heart for letting me and my husband express through him our love and care for our friends and family.

Matt and Patrick were extremely friendly and the food was to die for! We celebrated our microwedding in Mill Valley and I have always selected new restaurants based on yelps top reviewed restaurants. I figured this would be the best way to go to select a catering option for an area we're not local to or able to try before in person. The reviews did not steer us wrong. We would love to book again after experiencing the food and stellar service. Appetizers: We ordered the heirloom tomato bruschetta which was one of my favorites! The tomatoes were fresh and every bite was memorable! The goat cheese croquettes were to die for and the braised pork shoulder had everyone coming back for more! Dinner: I'm not a huge kale person but we had an amazing kale Caesar salad that had me hoping I could recreate it at home. I honestly don't think there was any left over! It was accompanied by the grilled antipasto platter which complemented the lasagna dinner we had perfectly! The vegetables were cooked and seasoned to perfection! We had the classic bolognese lasagna and red wine braised boneless beef short ribs for our dinner option which were gone in the blink of an eye. Dessert: To top it off, we finished with the mini amaretto panna cotta and blackberry coulis. They were as delicious as they were aesthetically appealing!

My husband and I were set on having pupusas for our wedding, and it was a surprisingly difficult thing to accomplish. From all of our efforts and research, pupuserias don't really do wedding catering, and wedding caterers don't really do pupusas, but Chef Matt pulled it off for us on a whole nother level of excellence! When we originally reached out to him, he just said that they could do it, and we were ecstatic. At our first tasting, he had already gone to his local pupusa spot to analyze the timing, and watch the whole process. He hadn't done pupusas before, but had the drive, determination, and confidence to pull it off for us. When our wedding day came, we along with every one of our guests were absolutely blown away by the quality of every bit of food and drinks that they provided us all with. He was able to find the wife of a Salvadoran friend, and her mother, to help him make them all fresh on our wedding day, on a plancha that they were able to bring. The vibe was incredible, the food was impeccable, and even the Salvadorans attending were incredibly impressed. From the yucca fries to the plantain chips, from the guacamole to the curtido, from the coffee to the agua frescas, from the salsas to the amazing service, from the compostable serving ware to the incredible bartender. People still can't stop raving. The pupusas, the dips, the black chili salsa, the coffee, just everything. Kharma worked with us relentlessly over every tiny detail to get all of it right, and everything came together SO beautifully, and went SO smoothly without even the smallest hitch. Chef Matt and the Epicurean Escape Catering team literally made our dreams come true. We cannot recommend them enough!!!

Got the marinated chicken burrito (GF in which was verbally stated to the cooks) and let me tell you- the flavor was popping that I scarfed the burrito down. Unfortunately, due to the wetness of the meat, beans, and salsa, the tortilla ended up ripping apart half way through and then got pretty messy... finger licking good if you know what I mean. As I was waiting for my food I overheard another patron order the coconut horchata (what?!!!) the lovely owner (who is very accommodating and sweet) gave me a sample; oh, it was phenomenal. I cannot tell you how excited I am to already return to try more items from their menu. Ps: in the evenings they serve Persian food. Indoor and outdoor patio dinning avalible, easy located off Hwy116 outside downtown Seb, with decent parking spots in front.

We went as a group and tried several dishes. Sima has crafted a creative menu with many Iranian staples and then some less common but equally loved dishes. Her drinks menu was especially creative and appetizing. The marinated olives were so original it would be hard to tell the difference between what they make and what you'll find in the North of Iran. My questions are still the same as what I asked her then: why not extend this to weekends and even open a new place dedicated to Persian food? :) The restaurant is a bit tucked away but easy to find, with its own parking. Loved it and will be back soon!

We got pork ribs, pulled pork, two types of links and sides- Mac and cheese, collard greens, and baked beans. Plus corn bread and for dessert the banana pudding. The cons were few and even though I'd list these as a con everything was still amazing - the greens were a little salty but when I ate them with some beans or the Mac and cheese the flavor balanced out. On their own just a tiny bit too salty. The cornbread was a tad too dry. The pros were basically EVERYTHING else. And the surprise treat of banana pudding made everyone's eyes go BIG a tasting the amazing flavor and lovely consistency of the pudding. Definitely save room for dessert!!! I have to admit though - BBQ and sides are very subjective if you have a great BBQ boss/ soul food chef in your family... truly everything on our table was AMAZING. The restaurant was homey, clean and inviting with picnic tables and lots of napkins within reach. Even though it was lunchtime on a weekend we had fast and friendly service and we didn't need to wait long for our food. We can't wait to come back!!!

I think I like the fatty brisket more but the brisket was too salty. The Jalapeño cheddar sausage way too spicy, I mean, I know it's a jalapeño so it's supposed to be spicy, but it was like really really spicy. The pork ribs were mine and everyone's my favorite. They weren't really dry and had a good smoke flavor. The chicken was good and had a good smoke but some pieces were a little dry. All the side were good despite some bad reviews on Yelp. Mac and cheese not too heavy. I like their spin on potato salad it wasn't heavy at all. The pickled onions, were good, Apple slaw was really good. Usually I don't get coleslaw, but this was really nice refreshing and help cut through the salt. The banana pudding was really nice. The honey biscuit was tough and not soft. Service was great and friendly and they answered all my questions. We timed coming here really great. When we got here there was only one person in line and by the time I went to pay, the line was to the other side of the dining area. They have a few tables outside and a cover tent area and they have a good handful of tables inside. Pretty solid barbecue but some things were pretty salty. However with that I would still say this is the best BBQ in Sonoma County. Overall 4.3/5
