She had the 17-spice chicken and ate almost the whole thing (she saved the rest for dinner). It came with roasted potatoes and a small salad. I had the chicken shawarma which is wrapped in a lovely thin pita bread and topped with a pomegranate drizzle. Amazing!!! We were clear that wanted single serving appetizers* allowing those attending the event to pull from a variety of choices during our 2.5 hour event. She provided just the right amount for 80-100 people. Given that it was 100 degree day, appetites were a bit allayed but the majority of the lighter apps disappeared. We reached out to Kristina less than a month before our new date (after our original wedding plans had been postponed) and she was eager, willing, and happy to work with us! We recently spent my wife's 60th birthday in California wine country and decided to hire Mazza Catering for the special birthday dinner. It was extremely disappointing. Mazza and Chef Kristina Daya came highly recommended from the owner of the house we rented. Kristina's correspondence emphasized how special it would be. She signs each email with: "We look forward to exceeding your highest expectations." So we decided to splurge on a $170-per-plate dinner. Mistake. The fatty ribeye steak and salmon were served downright cold. The vegetables were way undercooked. The dressing on the kale salad was so tart that my wife couldn't eat it. The dishes looked nothing like what we saw here on Yelp. By all appearances and taste, the food was pre-cooked, carried to the house in foil containers, and barely warmed to serve. The cake was good. To add insult to injury, when we complained afterwards, Kristina (who was not present at the event) did not apologize and instead provided detailed excuses. She even placed the blame on us because we didn't complain during the dinner and expressed appreciation to the servers. We didn't want to entirely ruin the evening by making a fuss. I was hired by Mazza Catering as a part-time server. Not only is Chef Kristina highly disorganized, but more importantly, she is verbally and emotionally abusive to staff. Condescension and belittling are her calling cards. Additionally, she refused to tell me where to find water on a very hot day and assumed my water bottle would last the whole time. She then berated me for not bringing in my water bottle. She also repeatedly pressed me to carry a large, hot chafing dish up a set of stairs, despite my letting her know that it would not be safe since I was concerned about losing my balance. Being verbally abusive is one thing, but putting people in a situation where their safety is in jeopardy is quite another. I would not recommend working here, nor would I hire her knowing how unorganized she is and how she treats her staff. Brought our Work staff to Healdsburg for the day from the peninsula. My husband and I had personally been at an event the past summer and Kristina had done all the food. We loved everything. MY daughters wedding was catered by Mazza Catering in Geyseville Ca this past October. We were very very disappointed with the food. There were about15-18 tables to be served. They ran out of salad after the fifth table. They ran out of bread also. The chicken, which was in a sauce was so dry that it took great effort to cut it. The baby carrots were NOT COOKED! We could not even cut them with a knife, it would have taken a hacksaw. We could not even eat them because they were as hard as rocks! The polenta medallions were very good. In December my son in law said that Kristina would not respond to his attempts to contact her. So many guests left the wedding hungry. Mazza Catering failed my daughter and my son in law and did not deliver good quality food. I would not recommend them for a dogs wedding!
