Matt and Patrick were extremely friendly and the food was to die for! We celebrated our microwedding in Mill Valley and I have always selected new restaurants based on yelps top reviewed restaurants. I figured this would be the best way to go to select a catering option for an area we're not local to or able to try before in person. The reviews did not steer us wrong. We would love to book again after experiencing the food and stellar service. Appetizers: We ordered the heirloom tomato bruschetta which was one of my favorites! The tomatoes were fresh and every bite was memorable! The goat cheese croquettes were to die for and the braised pork shoulder had everyone coming back for more! Dinner: I'm not a huge kale person but we had an amazing kale Caesar salad that had me hoping I could recreate it at home. I honestly don't think there was any left over! It was accompanied by the grilled antipasto platter which complemented the lasagna dinner we had perfectly! The vegetables were cooked and seasoned to perfection! We had the classic bolognese lasagna and red wine braised boneless beef short ribs for our dinner option which were gone in the blink of an eye. Dessert: To top it off, we finished with the mini amaretto panna cotta and blackberry coulis. They were as delicious as they were aesthetically appealing!

My husband and I were set on having pupusas for our wedding, and it was a surprisingly difficult thing to accomplish. From all of our efforts and research, pupuserias don't really do wedding catering, and wedding caterers don't really do pupusas, but Chef Matt pulled it off for us on a whole nother level of excellence! When we originally reached out to him, he just said that they could do it, and we were ecstatic. At our first tasting, he had already gone to his local pupusa spot to analyze the timing, and watch the whole process. He hadn't done pupusas before, but had the drive, determination, and confidence to pull it off for us. When our wedding day came, we along with every one of our guests were absolutely blown away by the quality of every bit of food and drinks that they provided us all with. He was able to find the wife of a Salvadoran friend, and her mother, to help him make them all fresh on our wedding day, on a plancha that they were able to bring. The vibe was incredible, the food was impeccable, and even the Salvadorans attending were incredibly impressed. From the yucca fries to the plantain chips, from the guacamole to the curtido, from the coffee to the agua frescas, from the salsas to the amazing service, from the compostable serving ware to the incredible bartender. People still can't stop raving. The pupusas, the dips, the black chili salsa, the coffee, just everything. Kharma worked with us relentlessly over every tiny detail to get all of it right, and everything came together SO beautifully, and went SO smoothly without even the smallest hitch. Chef Matt and the Epicurean Escape Catering team literally made our dreams come true. We cannot recommend them enough!!!

Quince stew(Khoreshte beh aloo) also so delicious! Persian bread pudding is awesome!! We've been 3 times and plan to return to try other dishes So nice to finally have a restaurant in Sonoma County that serves Persian food

Will definitely return to Persian Night as it was excellent last night for the four of us…read more We ordered the Herb Plate and also the Eggplant Dip as appetizers. The Herb Plate, while tasty, lacked some of the ingredients listed; the radishes and onions were not visible as in the photo on the website. The Eggplant Dip was sparse in portion size but very good. Good thing it turns out that the appetizers weren't larger as the entrees were larger than expected and delicious to boot. We forgot to take photos but they were not all that photogenic but over the top delicious nonetheless. i had the Persian Beef Stew with split peas and it was fantastic as was the lovely rice that came with it. Two ordered the Khoreshteh Ghormeh Sabzi with Beef and Lamb in a stew with rice on the side and was equally excellent as was the Adas Polo ba Morgh with Chicken. The Dates were great for after as was the ice cream. Highly recommended. Good value, warm and inviting service in a small dining room that is on the shabby chic side and can get loud with happy customers inside. They also have outside seating for when the weather is nice. The owner is delightful and her cooking classes are worth checking into as my wife and sister in law experienced a while back. Clean restroom was another plus.

Definitely recommend the Thai quesadillas for appetizer, but every single dish was truly delightful and cooked to perfection, and the presentation was beautiful. If you're looking for a caterer who genuinely listens, offers thoughtful suggestions, and delivers exceptional service, Trends is the one. Susan even ran out mid wedding to get more ice during our extra hot day! Trends helped make our wedding day unforgettable, and we can't recommend them highly enough!

Trends is a must have at your wedding!…read more Susan and her team were incredible every step of the way. From the introductory meal, to the table settings, to the main event. All done with extraordinary kindness, patience, and care. For apps, we chose beef quesadillas, tequila shrimp, and the salmon corn cakes. For entrees, we chose the salmon and the chicken, of which they have plenty of variety. For vegetarians/vegans, there was a stuffed mushroom option. Finally, for sides, we had risotto, polenta, and fresh vegetables. All absolutely delicious. Our first introductory meal was sooooo good, and included a rocky road brownie that blew my mind. I wasn't sure how the food would taste for the main event, adding 75 more family style servings. But it was just as fantastic. The consistency was very impressive. The best thing we can say about Trends Catering is that we wish it was an actual brick and mortar restaurant. Because my wife and I would go there at least once a week... If you're looking for catering for your wedding or any other event, we cannot recommend Trends enough :)

Is it just me, or do you walk into a restaurant to order food for the family (today it was 2 adults…read moreand one very hungry 8-year-old) and order what you think is an adequate amount of food... only to second-guess yourself and add a little more? Today I started with ordering a one meat and a two-meat meal . . . then the internal debate started and I questioned if it was enough? So I added a sausage and a jalapeño cornbread. Once we got home the food was ripped open and scarfed down, and within minutes everyone was full -- and we had only eaten about half of what we ordered. Thank goodness no one in my family complains about leftovers, especially when it's BBQ. Quality serving sizes, robust flavor, and incredibly thoughtful service. Perfect ribs, brisket to drool over, and tender pulled pork (as I'm trying to avoid the "m" word... it definitely wasn't dry). Our sides included mac and cheese, candied yams, baked beans, and cornbread -- and the candied yams are not to be missed.

We ended up getting a brisket plate with mac and cheese and yams. We also got the pulled pork sandwhich. The brisket was a 10/10 the brisket literally falls off as you eat it!!! The Mac and cheese was also good! The yams are on the sweeter side! Service was good. You walk up and basically pick your order from their menu. Then pay for it after. Seating is limited outside but they do have a lot of indoor seating. It is a bit on the pricier side, I think we paid over $50 for both of our plates. I do wish the brisket plate came with a bit more! However bbq is in general Pretty expensive. I will say that I will be returning to try the items I was unable to try last time!
