Breakfast omelette
Kimberly W.

Very prompt service and seating, even on a Saturday morning. The omelette I ordered was huge. However, it could do with a bit more flavor. Even though the Flamenco omelette was described as having spicy salsa on the side, it wasn't at all spicy and not particularly flavorful. So you'll leave with a full belly, but though the presentation is good, the food was just okay. It's possible their breakfast staples are better, but it just wasn't anything special.

Vegetable soup with my cracker-the soup was amazing

We stopped in while visiting family in the area-absoluty LOVED it!! The service was fantastic and the food was delicious and clearly made from scratch, made to order everything was delicious. I had the Vegetable soup and a BLT with fries and my sister had the same but with Chicken Dumpling soup, every was perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. Thank you for a nice lunch.

The cafe had lots of seating (booths and tables). There were a lot of different things on their menu for both sweet and savory preferences. Nothing super special about their food or coffee, but they got the job done. The service was very helpful and friendly.

Really enjoyed our breakfast here. Got right in on a holiday morning. Great service and excellent food. I had the egg salmon Benedict it was delicious! Husband had a ham n cheese omelet said he really enjoyed it although it may have been a tad over cooked but omelettes this big are hard to get just right throughout. Our granddaughter had eggs over easy, hashbrowns with pancakes on the side that she split with Grandpa. All very tasty.

Top of the hash browns was crispy but under it was a mashy mess. They wound up in the garbage.

Food prices are outrageous!!!!! 2 egg omelette on seniors menu $12 Coffee almost $4 Our regular restaurant charges $11 and get twice the size omelette Now the food came. The omelet was so small. Also they couldn't make sure the cheese was melted inside. Just a big chunk of cheese. I'm so tired of going out to eat at places where they charge a premium price and then give sub par food. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt I make my omelets at home 100% better. Yet they cried support your local business during Covid. You the owner should be ASHAMED of yourself.

If you are looking for a breakfast spot with tons of options this is it!! I seriously had 4 items I could not choose between. I finally settled on the Banana Bread French Toast and WOW was it delicious. This is the perfect breakfast for anyone with a major sweet tooth!! Our waitress Kristin was very sweet and happened to know my dad from another restaurant. The owner/manager even came over to greet us. This spot has a clean fresh vibe, lower noise level and flavored coffee creamer which is a big deal to me. Overall great experience.

What an awesome breakfast/lunch/brunch establishment in Lemont! I adore places that serve a lot of vegetarian options! I'm a lunch person and the husband is all about breakfast. Best of both worlds to be had here! I went with the Veggie Panini, as it's so difficult to find a good restaurant that caters to vegetarians. Fork and Spoon did not disappoint! Everything sounded so good that I felt conflicted on what to order. The husband went with the Avocado Scrambler, of course. My Panini came with soup and fries. I asked our waitress if the soup was vegetarian. She insisted it was. To be sure, I asked again verifying no beef or chicken base, was told no. However, it had that flavor when I tried it and so I didn't want to chance getting sick. It looked so fresh and homemade, though! Wish there was an easier way to figure out the truth. The Panini was absolutely delicious! It had an abundance of veggies such as yellow peppers, eggplant, and spinach with a garlic mayo kind of spread. So good! The fries came out fresh and seasoned. Yummers! My husband enjoyed his Scrambler and I couldn't agree more with the sample I did taste. So many veggies and avocados in a large portion! The youngest also enjoyed the pancakes that came with the Scrambler. Prices are very reasonable when you think about it. Entrees range from $12-$15, but they do not skimp on the portion sizes!

This is a very cute restaurant in the Jewel strip mall with great food. We ordered 2 skillets, country fried steak and a corn beef sandwich. Nobody had any complaints and the portions were really large. The country fried steak with gravy was hand breaded which seems to be hard for us to find lately and it was delicious. We had the cream of chicken soup and stuffed green pepper soup. I haven't had it in years and it really hit the spot.

When I'm there, I like to relax, unwind, and just enjoy playing my game. Some staff members make that a little difficult always looking over your shoulder or making pushy comments about tips. But with that being said I've been to several Dotty's locations over the years, and I've recently had the pleasure of running into a younger girl named Courtney a few times now. I've never felt compelled to write a review but I finally had a chance to sit down and write this because she truly deserves the recognition. Courtney is one of the nicest and most helpful young ladies I've met at a Dotty's. She has amazing customer service for such a young girl. She is very knowledgeable, always friendly, and goes out of her way to make sure everyone is comfortable and having a good experience. She does all of this without being pushy or overbearing, which I really appreciate. She keeps everything running smoothly, always makes sure my soda is filled, the snacks are stocked (especially my cookies), and the place feels welcoming. You can tell she takes pride in her job and really enjoys helping people. Her kindness and positive attitude are what stand out the most. I always look forward to seeing Courtney when I come in because she makes my visits that much better. Dotty's is very lucky to have her, and I hope to see her again soon!

I've been there three time total and each time one of the customers has a machine malfunctioning, this time was my turn. Avoid like the plague.

Honestly, that part is completely understandable since we were late and they operate on more of a first-come, first-served basis. Once we were seated, though, the service became quite disappointing. It took a while for our drinks to arrive, and then we waited about 20 minutes just to have our food order taken. From the time we sat down, it was roughly another 20-30 minutes before the food actually arrived. What made the wait even more disappointing was that the restaurant was not busy at all. There were only about three other tables with customers, so we really couldn't understand why everything was taking so long. With that kind of wait, we were really hoping the food would make up for it, but unfortunately it fell short. Some of the dishes were noticeably over-seasoned and salty. The milanesa tortas were tough and chewy, and definitely not something I would order again. I would also skip the rice and beans. The burrito was probably the best thing we tried and was decent. The kids' tacos were also disappointing the tortilla was very greasy and the meat was quite salty and chewy. One other thing worth mentioning is the additional charges. For parties of 6 or more, they automatically add a 20% gratuity, and if you pay with a credit card, there is an additional 3.5% credit-card fee. Given the slow service we experienced, the mandatory 20% gratuity was especially frustrating. Overall, the slow service, mediocre food, and additional fees made this a disappointing experience. If the restaurant had been packed, I could understand the long wait, but with only three other tables occupied, the service was much slower than expected. I probably would not return to this location.

It was decorated super cute for Christmas and it was warm inside with the space heater. Our server was very attentive, prompt and friendly. The food came out quick, hot and tasty! Both appetizers were delicious! I liked them both so much and can't pick a favorite because they were equally satisfying my taste buds. For our main course, we ordered a traditional thin crust pepperoni pizza and a gluten free sausage pizza. Both pizzas had nice perfectly cooked crispy crust. The gluten free crust was just as good as the traditional crust. The pepperoni was flavorful and had a spicy kick to it, which I enjoyed. The sausage on the gluten free pizza tasted like it was homemade and fantastic! The sauce was a little sweet for my liking but not bad by any means. I just prefer less sweet pizza sauce on my pizza. I would definitely return again whether in their igloo dining in the winter or anytime through the year on their patio or inside. Highly reccomend!

As a treat, we traveled from Evanston to mark our anniversary by returning to the site that served our special day. We are unsure what shifted here. Service fell short of the 2024 standard, and we sat in a nearly empty room. After ordering drinks and appetizers, we waited a long time; the appetizers arrived first. The server returned for entrees, which we ordered, though only one of us had a drink by then. Our second drink appeared nearly 15-20 minutes after we arrived. Our entrée had already reached the table by this time. Regarding food, the pizza remained excellent. The new polenta pops were impressive. We had the pork belly in 2024, so sampling the updated version was pleasant. Meanwhile, the balsamic skirt steak declined. We recall adding it last minute for our wedding in 2024 because we loved it during the tasting; that was not true this time--it felt lacking, and I am unsure what changed. Overall, while we love this place, it will be a long time before we travel here again. Something changed over those two years, and it is not the same restaurant that catered our wedding. We hope things change for the better, since it holds such a special place in our life.
