5 stars for the Cherry Hill Cafe in Joliet, The prices are very reasonable, they have breakfast and lunch, and the food is good. Service is also very friendly. There's plenty of seating inside with booths/tables and seating at a breakfast bar. I enjoyed the omelette - very good food and experience overall - I'd recommend if you're in the area in search of a small diner. read more

So. A second time. This time was breakfast. Plain waffle. Sausage patties. Coffee. Basic. Executed perfectly. Again the service was great too. I swear if I lived here I'd be here daily. I can't understand why it isn't busier though perhaps because I'm here on weekdays and off hours but I hope the business is doing as well as it deserves and it deserves all the love. read more

We do love this place BUT...some menu items say "toast & pancakes" but if you mistakenly ask for your choice of toast thinking you will ALSO get pancakes, you'll be told you have to pay for them. When you mention it's not your fault the menu is wrong, they argue. Well, the one server argues. That's not cool. Fix the menu please; otherwise it's false advertising that leads to bad feelings from regular customers. I'd like my pancake please. Oh but the skirt steak is delicious; char broiled and done exactly to order. And they burnt the hash browns as requested for a change so that was also good. read more

Just say no. It is located in what looks like an abandoned strip mall. The car out front with no hood looked like it belonged. I harbored seconds thoughts about going in but I was really very hungry. To my surprise and relief it was much nicer on the inside, not exactly fine dining but would do. As it wasn't busy I was told to sit wherever. Almost immediately I got a menu and placed a drink order, which is to say coffee(very good coffee). In that was the last time anyone came to my table. The Farmers skillet looked good but I will never know as no one came to take my order. Not sure how long I waited but I did read seven pages in a rather heavy book on French history. The coffee ran out with two pages left in the chapter. I finished the chapter, slipped $4 under the coffee cup and left. To the girl in the green shirt, the 75 cent tip was because I don't have a quarter on me, not because of the service. read more

First time here... and just when I was about to give it 5 stars, I had to subtract a few foe a ridiculous policy they hsve: I ordered a Southwestern omlette. It was fantastic. I only ate half of it, so I asked my server for a souffle cup of the Hollandaise sauce to go. She saud, there would be a charge. Ok...I'm thinking a quarter?? Nope. Half a buc?? Still no. $2!!!? ARE YOU FRIGGIN KIDDING ME??? for a little plastic cup of sauce?? If I asked for a soup cup...yeah maybe. She said I should have asked for extra when I placed my order?! And of course...I wanted her to explain that. He said because they would have to reheat that little bit for me and have to charge accordingly. GET REAL!! I've worked in restaurants....I know how sauces are lined on on the cook line. Just throw some in a cup and make my day.. Judt poor management. Well how was I to know that I had going to need extra sauce?? read more

Great atmosphere !! Food extra special and help is all quickly served! Attitude is great from FOOD and Help

I was in the cafe on 10/14/2021. My bill was $18.13 and I have a $4.00 tip for a total of $22.13. My charge on my card was $26.13. I know it is only $4.00 and not a huge deal. This is just a PSA to check your receipt as they might be padding their tips! Beware! read more

Excellent service and the food is great. They make their own hot sauce and it's perfect for me. The French toast is also great.

Fast service, great food choices at a reasonable price, clean environment. Definitely try the Tex-mex menu items.

My husband and I went there for breakfast, I knew my husband would be unhappy quickly. But we have been there for breakfast and the food is excellent. My husband does not like to eat outside and on a picnic table. I got the cinnamon French Toast, I recommend it, and the sausage patties were good. I over salted my eggs, but that was my fault. One other thing that was bothersome was the bugs that wasn't anyone's fault. My husband got some kind of skillet, which he enjoyed. He got pancakes, but after he had a bite of my French Toast, he pushed the pancakes away and helped me with the French Toast. The service was excellent. And all the other things could not be helped, so I have nothing to complain about. read more

Been living in the area for 33 years. Hubby and I wanted to get breakfast and everywhere was crowded and there was a wait, we didn't have time and to be somewhere. Saw Cherry Hill Cafe on Yelp and thought let's check it out! We were not disappointed, the service was excellent and personal and the food was delicious. We had breakfast, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage pattie's, biscuits and gravy! Wow! Delicious and we were stuffed! The whole team from the waitresses to busboys to hostess worked together providing a great experience! We will be back and will be bringing our kids and grandkids! Thanks again. read more

I decitex to go somewhere off the beaten path for a late breakfast with my nephew. I was so pleasantly surprised by this little gem near New Lenox. It's a quaint cozy little breakfast place with wonderful energy , super sweet waitstaff and good food. Servings were large and tasty When I'm back in New Lenox I will absolutely stop by for breakfast again read more

Great traditional diner. Did take out and everything was well priced and order was ready in a timely manner. Scrambles are large and tasty!

This is a gem in New Lenox! Great food, great people, clean place. Had the Farmers Skillet. Delish.

Their carryout service was so fast. I placed an order at the restaurant and our food was ready in about 10 minutes. I loved the gyros sandwich. The chicken tenders kids meal had plenty of meat and fries. The chicken wrap included fresh veggies and had great flavor. The waitress wore a mask throughout and kindly brought the food out to my car (upon request). There was social distancing in the restaurant and a large outdoor seating area. read more

Ordered carry out breakfast on a Monday morning after moving to Cherry Hill and was very impressed. Both of my girls had the pancakes (large and delicious) with bacon and ham and my wife had the biscuits and gravy (which she inhaled in about two minutes). Phone ordering was super easy and friendly and order was ready exactly when they said it would be. Can't wait to visit them again to try more of their impressive menu read more

Food was really good and they have lots to choose from. Only down side was they were cleaning up for the day and smelling the cleaning solution was very strong. It was 1:00 and they didn't close until 3:00. read more

The food was kinda weird. Their menu was something i haven't really seen anywhere else.Tasted like something I would do when i bunched up spare ingredients I had at home. The hubby liked it. Around 8-10$ a dish. The place is super outdated. Looks like a cheap hotel from the 70's. I ordered a "pancake sandwich", which consisted of a slice of ham between two pancakes and egg on top. Hubby ordered a, "buffalo chicken egg benedict." I personally disliked both of the dishes. Perhaps their breakfast is not a forte. Sometime in the not so near future i might try some lunch. The place left me with very little to say, as besides some menu parts, everything was pretty ordinary about the joint. read more

I had the Reuben sandwich, which came with fries and a cup of cream of chicken and rice soup. Everything tasted great. I would definitely eat here again. If you like a fancy or unique decor, you'll be disappointed. But if you're like me and it's all about the food, give them a try. Fast, friendly service too which is one of the criteria which affects my choice of where to spend my dining dollars. read more

If you are not a meat or lactose eater person, but order eggs from this place, expect remnants still in your scramble/omelette. They clearly use the same spatula and cooking surface for all eggs. I ordered simple scrambled egg whites. When I got them, they had ham, peppers, and even sausage particles in them. Cross "contamination" is not ideal for someone with dietary restrictions. I will still go back and love the place, just next time I'll get toast and fruit. read more

We were wanting breakfast and this place got reasonable reviews - there IS a dearth of good sounding places in the area, so we decided on Cherry Hill. The bathrooms were dirty and the trash bins were overflowing. They just couldn't have had that many customers that day - if I'd gone in there first I'd never have even ordered food. I ordered Heuvos Rancheros and it was a couple of fried eggs, gloppy refried beans, and tired rice with a "red" sauce on top. Really unappetizing in looks and taste. I think there must be better options than this place. Friendly staff, though! Good service. read more

Went to this restaurant to pick up my food and was told it would be right out. After sitting for 20 minutes asked where my food was and was told it was being remade because it was given out wrong and was never informed that. I snatched the bag from the employee and was called a bitch. I called and spoke to the manager and she did nothing about it and said the employee was justified in calling a customer a bitch. read more

My family and I (3 people total) went after seeing this place had 4 stars on Yelp. I suppose it is my fault i didnt see the the reviews were from YEARS ago. This place was a big disappointment. After our order was placed, it took a while for them the bring our food. I asked to place a quick to go order as soon as out food came, and was told my the waitress she had to attend other customers and would be right back. We finished our food, never was able to place a to go order, and was handed a receipt where they incorrectly charged us. They called a young lady over who proceeded to say she "confirmed" the order before walking away from our table... however, the young lady was not the waitress who took our order. This place would get one star if not for the fact they removed an item from my check. Still, $28 for a bad experience is pretty disappointing. I did see that they were fast at getting carry out orders together and out the door, that might be a better way to go if you want to still give this place a shot. read more

Stopped by on my way to work for breakfast. They open at 5:30am which is great for me because I have to be at work at 6:30am. The waitress was very nice and polite. I ordered the Joliet special (2 pancakes, 2 eggs 2 slices of bacon). The cakes are nice size and I got 3 slices of bacon! Very good flavor. The eggs were Ok. This is a good place for breakfast especially for us early birds. I will have to try their lunch next. Did I mention how nice the staff was and that the meal was around $7! read more
