Five stars hands down...... The owner who originally was cook for a Greek family restaurant. No one better to own a restaurant one who has cooked all his life... He did a great job.. listen first we started off with the chilaquilas cooked to perfection. Not soggy. Not too spicy. Absolutely delicious. Then we tried the country on let me tell you. I think this omelet had a whole pig in it bursting with sausage .... And I have to say and I'm I'm not a pancake person, but these were light and fluffy. I will be coming back. We have a group of between 5 and 10 who dine here Sunday mornings. The service is excellent. The coffee cup and water pitchers never get empty. The coffee is very good and always hot. We order a variety of items and everyone has always been pleased with the quality and quantity of their food. It is not s problem to split an order. We all agree the staff are efficient snd friendly. I really enjoyed my experience! My grandma and I often try new places with hopes of making it our regular place for breakfast. We found this place on yelp and decided to try it out, I am glad we did! The places is small, has a very family feel to it and I actually believe I saw the owners sitting having breakfast. We got seated right away and the waitress was super friendly! We ordered French toast, and an omelette. Everything was super tasty and the coffee was not too bad. Due to the staff and the food being good we have decided to continue to talk about this place and will come back again! If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping in for a traditional breakfast! read more

I had posted a bad review approximately a month ago due to seeing the Owner yell at his waitress in front of customers I really bothered me because nobody deserves that disrespectful treatment especially in front of customers she is a hard worker we go for the food which very good I will say . She was let go so we stopped going we won't support someone like this ! UPDATE 12/3/23 we returned to My Waffle and had breakfast the food was great as usually and our favorite waitress was there too something changed we were happy to see her what ever happened to make manager change his mind we thank you for reading and listening to your customers read more

This is now called My Waffle and is a really nice Joliet neighborhood place. Staff is very friendly and the food is GOOD. Our waitress was really friendly and pretty darn good. I had the 3 meat omelette and Deb had the cinnamon swirl breakfast. Close to home and change from our regular places. We will be back. read more

This is our new favorite breakfast place! It's nice that it's a bit off the beaten path (not in Jefferson or Rt 30). Everything is fresh and made to order. All the waitresses are professional. Great breakfast! Place was packed but service was excellent and food came out promptly, great corned beef hash, as well as chorizo.

My wife and I were regular customers for years. We liked the owner, who was always there greeting customers, and the waitresses were great. I brought coworkers to that place because it was good and I like helping small businesses. But I won't be going back. My wife ordered sour dough toast with breakfast and noticed it was moldy. Told the waitress who apologized and brought another one. Since we're regulars we were expecting something taken off the bill but that didn't happen. When I went to pay the owner, as usual, asked how everything was. I told him my wife was served moldy bread and he looked and didn't say anything to me. Unfortunately the owner and waitress didn't take this seriously. My wife couldn't gotten sick. If they would've said, "sorry the coffees are on me" or something to that affect we would've chalked it up as an honest mistake. Perhaps the children that are working there were assigned to the toast detail and don't know how serious this is. But the lack of concern, especially to regulars, is shocking to me. This review was written in the hopes this doesn't happen to anyone who can get sick, either by keeping them away from the restaurant or by the restaurant seeing this and adjusting. I stayed overnight in the area on my way home to Colorado. I ordered take out breakfast from here before heading out. When I called, the woman I spoke with was friendly and took my order. The food was ready in the time frame she stated and she greeted me at the door when I went in to pick up the food. She was just as nice as she had been on the phone. She poured my coffee while I paid. I thought to myself that the bag of food was heavy but when I opened the containers I could not believe the amount of food there was. The price was very reasonable. Truthfully, it was cheap as I can get at least 3-4 meals from the servings. Even better, the breakfast was delicious. I am so pleased by the kind service and the inexpensive and tasty food. Ate breakfast here yesterday for the first time and it was fantastic! Great service, all items cooked to perfection, and best of all, great service. Took my 92 year old mother there and the staff was simply wonderful in helping her to the table and totally attentive to her needs. I for one, will be visiting this place again very soon! read more

Mr. Waffles has an extensive breakfast menu including several different kinds of pancakes. The coffee is better than I've had in most restaurants. My wife is disabled and made several requests of the waitress. When we apologized for being so needy, she replied that it was ok because she is there to serve. She also replied that they've only been open a few weeks and are still upgrading a few things business wise. (Older reviews in Yelp may be referring to the previous owners as this location was closed for awhile. That place closed a while back.) The place is very clean inside and I highly recommend it for a good, filling breakfast at a good price. read more

Visited Mr. Waffles and what a hidden gem. Food is hot and excellent. The girls that serve you are the best. This was our second time. The first time had awesome crepes and bacon, when did you ever get bacon and it comes out hot, well here it does.
