I went thru the drive thru, and a big guy who obviously has problems went to give me my order, and boy he is rude, then said I got another coke, so he gave me my drink then stuck out out another drink with the window open like it was for me, I said surprisedly "Oh for me?" Overall it's an Okay McDonald's and probably one of the last locations left it seems with a playland. Staff here was friendly but I came here for a McChicken deal. Service is okay, I say this because some people let me do multiple orders in drive thru and some won't. Food won't be crispy if you don't ask for it specifically. Expect a soggy piece of chicken or fries if you do not say well done. Also double check that you don't get toppings you dislike. Must say, the place is clean and in a good location. read more

It's official, I'm boycotting McDonalds all thanks to the Lemont location. To be quite honest, it's so easy to grab a quick happy meal for the Littles or a Diet Coke for myself. I wasn't against them until this last visit which resulted in me never returning again. I ordered an Egg McMuffin without Canadian bacon for my vegetarian self via their app. I arrived in their drive through and obtained said meal. I had gotten all the way to down State Street and took a bite. It tastes weird. I then pulled over and opened up the sandwich. There was a green substance that appeared to be mold. Please see pic. I immediately turned around and headed back. I decided to walk in. While waiting to speak with someone (which took at least a good 3-5 minutes) I observed the chaos which was staff working. Finally, staff asked what would i.loke to order and asked for the manager. I then showed it to said manager and she made the excuse that the egg used was old and that's how they look. What the? Why is a corporation using old eggs?!?! She made me a new one, but I was already disgusted and threw it away. I then proceeded to call Corporate and report this. They informed me someone would get ahold of me asap. Three days later and no call. I called on the fifth day, again. They said the supervisor had attempted to contact me, but to no availa. What? I noticed no new numbers and had not received any new voicemails. I informed them this was inaccurate and she said they would reach out, again. A week later, still nothing. I called again and this time i was told they had reimbursed me. Uh, no you didn't. I would have seen it on my CC statement online. They informed me it can take up to 5 business days. Well, we had already surpassed that. I said I would prefer the manager/supervisor still contact me. A couple days later, still nothing. I called Corporate again and they reiterated everything they had been telling me. Wow. McDonald's is a disgusting joke. Corporate couldn't even make it right even after I spent time and energy contacting them four times. A few days later I received an email from said owner/manager: Hello Hellene: Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at the McDonald's located at 1152 State Street . As the Area Supervisor of this restaurant, I apologize that you were not satisfied with your visit. I made several attempts to speak with you personally, but I was not successful in reaching you. Let me assure you that food quality and safety are among our highest priorities. We are committed to providing only high quality and safe products. Please be assured that we have shared your comments with our restaurant staff. Your feedback serves as a valuable reminder that our customers are our priority. Today's experience at McDonalds was uncalled for. Complete rundown: I ordered from the mobile app, of which I have nothing but positive feedback for. The app is great and easy to use. Drive thru pickup, as I typically find this experience quicker than curbside pickup during late nighttime hours. The person that I spoke to on the speaker drive thru was excellent: Pleasant, welcoming and easy to understand. Gave my order number and was told to pull up to the second window. Server at the second window gave me my happy meals and drinks, then proceeded to ask me to pull around to curbside for the rest of my order (deluxe chicken sandwich and a large fry). Server informed me that they were cooking a fresh batch of fry's, of which I was pleasantly surprised to hear the honesty. It's not typical of someone at McDonalds to tell you the reasons why, let alone without my asking. But it goes downhill from here. No one came out with my order for a while, 15 minutes total of waiting curbside. The car behind me received their order and drove off. The car in front of me drove off without receiving their order. The server then came out with one bag asking if I was the one that ordered three orders of fry's. Im assuming this was the person in front of me that drove off. The server then came back with my complete order, after reminding them twice of what my order was. During this 15 minutes of time, I watched several high school student's at the inside counter ordering and receiving their orders. Many of which having full on conversations with the employees filled with smiling and laughter. To top it off, getting home, I find my kids hamburger happy meal missing the hamburger and the chicken nugget happy meal missing the ranch dipping sauce. Luckily my kids were appreciative enough to split their 4 piece nuggets together. Oh, on a positive note, the chicken sandwich and fresh fry's were exceptional. Always my go to order. I rate 2 stars for great tasting food and initial positive customer service, but extremely poor execution and ending experience. Although this is my first review, dedicating time to become a yelp reviewer has been something I've wanted to do for some time now. Everyone deserves fair and honest feedback. If only I could put less stars. Went for a little snack shortly past 9:00pm. Asked for a shamrock shake and was told they do not have the stuff to make it but can make an Oreo shamrock McFlurry....? I made the mistake of stopping at this location for lunch. I've learned, from past experiences, to avoid this place after breakfast, because the people on duty thereafter are mostly young, ignorant, and don't pay attention to taking orders, making change, or fulfilling orders correctly. I ordered the chicken sandwich value meal (the supervisor who took the order did so correctly), was given the locator placard #21, and so sat down. The young woman (late teens?) who eventually brought me my order (only after walking through most of the restaurant, despite the fact that I was sitting across from the entrance to the registers!), plopped the tray on my table, and asked rather smirkily: "Is this your order?" Well no, it wasn't. I didn't order a double-cheeseburger! As this was the third or fourth time I've had issues with this place in a very short period of time, I was fed-up and simply left. Although I was out $5.50, that allows me to write this review. And the truly ignorant young lady in question should be told to stop rolling her eyes and smirking at customers. Being that I work in this area, there aren't a lot of choices for a quick breakfast so unfortunately it's either McDonald's or BK. Because I had a gift card for McDoushbags, I went there. Every time I go to this McDonald's the service is poor and the attitudes of employees is worse. They don't seem to know what their app specials actually say and argue with you about it even when you pull it up and show them. You ask about condiments and the drive up people look at you like you have two heads then mumble so with the masks you can't hear them then you ask them again and get a nod then get pissy with you when you comment on their lack of effort. I have complained numerous times but the management /owner obviously does not care. And these workers think they deserve $15 an hour? I don't think so. Not until they can get orders right AND provide service with a pleasant attitude. You can fake it for whatever hours you get paid for it. read more

I am sorry to read the bad reviews. I was a manager here at the old McDonald's in 2004 We tore down in August 2005 and reopened in December 2005. (During the rebuilding months, I was loaned to the Woodridge location). I remained in Lemont until I was transferred to the Thornton Gas Station location in Woodridge for a promotion in May 2006. Our Management Team ran the restaurant really well along with a great crew. We provided excellent customer service, great food, kept our restaurant very clean and sanitary. We became a 24-hour drive thru Thursday- Sunday nights. I was the overnight manager during those days. I hope that Lemont McDonald's is still holding onto the values that made it great in my day. Worst McDonald's I have ever been to. I have lived here for most of my life and the staff at this McDonald's used to be good. However recently they claim that the location is undergoing maintenance late at night and will refuse to take your order. At least until you call the number and ask them why they aren't serving customers. Then it's all Lickety splits. The line in the drive through was long when I went here around 10 a.m. I had no choice but to go in here because I wanted something quick and, at the same time, I was craving their food. The food is definitely not quick because I had to wait a long time in the drive through. The good thing is that I did not wait any longer after I ordered and paid for the food. The staff in the drive through are also pretty nice and friendly. My order was basically just a chicken sandwich, fries, and a drink. The food was given to me accurately, and it was also fresh and hot. I definitely do not have any problems with my food, and in fact, I love it so much. It was literally a craving satisfied for me. The chicken sandwich is tender, crispy, and somehow juicy, which is why I love it. I have been eating it ever since, and never have I ever gotten tired of eating it. The fries have a generous portion. They are hot and crispy and taste perfect with enough salt. I also like the fact that the drink is so cold but still flavorful, just the way I want it. read more

Negative 5 stars How about staying open and having all food on the dinner menu readily available in allotted hours of service? Used to be 24 hours then Covid happened and now the times changed but evidently staff is taking advantage of that and shutting down machines 30 minutes or more before closing time. Be blessed it's not still 24 hours and have fast food available until posted times on door. It says open til midnight not until 11:30 now you can only get certain food until 11:30 not midnight like posted. How about putting a sign up no coffee, no hot chocolate and a 15 min wait on frys. Hot chocolate when it's 37 out and snowing, what kind of nonsense is that!? Asking for cocoa when it's snowing, flabbergasted. NOPE, sorry machines are down or whatever bs excuse you gave. Frys!? What? Pull around to the side and wait 15 minutes while we turn the oil back on to make the frys. Astonishing that people are coming to this McDonalds Lemont establishment at 11:30 pm wanting burgers, frys, and a hot drink in fall weather. Who does that?!? Unheard of I know. Their food is great! All the staff is very kind. The inside looks amazing. And the play place is great for kids between the ages of 3-7.

I would give 0 stars if was an option. After standing at the counter for 7 minutes without being helped, a girl who had been standing around finally came over to take our order. When I ordered a quarter pounder I was informed they were out of beef!?! We then started to walk out, and the manager started making ignorant and sarcastic comments to and about us. We had not said anything, just were leaving. Maybe the manager should stay on top of ordering his products and spend less time being a jerk to his customers.
