This spot is really beautiful and from what I understand they did an update to the vineyard. They have a private tasting room along with the other tasting room. They have a fire pit outside and a few fireplaces inside. It's light and bright and comfortable. They have their own wines on the walls along with other notables and they have a sister vineyard in France. Staff is knowledgeable but....when I asked for a spittoon for my wine I got the side eye. I've done trade tastings before so it's usually offered or a glass of water oh well. The wines on the only flight they had were Riesling so and one Pinot Noir. Unfortunately (which I did not know Rieslings are something they are known for for) I found the four of the ones I tasted were bone dry which is fine but these were a bit agressive and although the nose on these wines were pretty good I found them to be flat. Yes I understand 100% wine is subjective. The Pinot Noir was very light in color and the nose was not exactly pleasant. The wine itself was ok at best. Now I understand in a tasting room things might taste different considering items may have been colder but bottles sitting out to be poured into vessels for a tasting ate different than if you have a bottle at home and you gave it a 30 or more cool off in your fridge. There were a few other things I wanted to try but they did not offer them by the glass. I get it you want to push the bottles and the charcuterie I get it.. The vibe I got was it's warm but had a hipster vibe and trying to find this spot was not easy. No signs or a small sign to find it. You will have to rely on your navigation to find this place. When we left the only way you know the name of this place was "Forge" on the mailbox no joke. I think they want this place to be a niche wine type of situation.Basically you got to know where it is and like their wines. I'll give them another shot by buying a bottle at my local wine shop and asking what they think I should try after my tasting and how it went. It's a 3.5/5 They have a parking lot

    Stunning view and delicious wine!

The view was stunning! The staff was knowledgeable and attentive! Outside was a beautiful chairs and fire pit. We had great conversation with a few people. A wonderful experience!

One of the best wineries we visited... Impressive wines, impressive views, impressive atmosphere. Don't miss this one!

The views from this place were great. The wine was decent, not amazing, not bad. We split a bottle as it was a better way to go than various different glasses (even the employee said to get X bottle instead, more cost effective). The best surprise here was the cheese plate, was pretty good.

We came for the Riesling and stayed for the small charcuterie board. Service was awesome!

Great stop on the east side of Seneca Lake while doing the Finger Lakes Wine Trail. This winery only does Riesling & Pino Noir, but does them well and helps show the differences of the grapes. They are starting to grow their own but also get grapes from multiple vineyards for different flavors. You need to make a reservation for tastings and these are currently limited to a couple tastings on the weekend (Friday 3p & 5p, Saturday 10:30a & 2p, and Sunday 12:30p). You can stop by to purchase wine during other times as well. There are no signs so look for a barn with black siding and barrels at the driveway. The tasting is nice and as small group up to 16. You will arrive at a large barn with open seating areas that have beautiful stained wood and then they have table set up for the tasting in the room also used for sorting and processing the grapes. With the small group the tasting included 7 wines and great stories and explanations of the wines & grapes. They also allow you to re-taste to help compare between the wines. The wines were very tasty overall and it was interesting to hear what other preferences were between the wines and why. When we were there they had one 2017 and the rest were the recently released 2018 wines. They also had multiple that were single vineyards which really helps compare the same grape variety grown in different locations along the lake. You can tell the team is passionate about the wines and learning about what makes the grapes taste how they do. I highly recommend setting up a reservation here, you will enjoy the wines and the informative staff as you taste them.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I am picky but this place has no flaws, I would live here if I could. We where welcomed with no reservations into a large patio area made with beautiful aged wood (the place smells of aged wood) and given the only flight they have. It doesn't matter if you like sweet or dry, every wine they have is amazing. I highly recommend the cheese plate with it. It's goat cheese with Amish honey and salt and it's an amazing combination. Between the view, the cheese, and the wine a highlight to any trip to the finger lakes. -just beware a little pricier then most but still worth it.

We stopped at Forge last summer based on our B&B owner's recommendation during our FLX vacation. It was love at first tasting. Their bone-dry rieslings are superb. (We returned again this month when visiting FLX region). Each variety is grown on small blocks along the eastern side of Seneca Lake hills. Forge partners with each farmer who owns the plots. Their tasting facility is an open-space whereby their walls slide open to allow an expanse of Seneca Lake. A new tasting space will open soon, if not already.

Great combination of quality wine, stellar views and friendly people. We did a private tasting and our host, Josh, was very informative and super fun to listen to. His pours were very generous too. All of their wines were very refreshing and tasty, perfect for a hot summer day. After the tasting we bought a couple bottles to enjoy with the amazing views. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

During that visit we sampled some good wines, so we knew we wanted to try it again. On this visit the service was very prompt and the place was not busy on this visit compared to the summer. During our initial visit the employee at the tasting counter first seemed annoyed that we wanted to taste wine an hour before they closed (The attitude improved when we said we were buying a couple cases).  The view is amazing from the large deck and dining area. One could sit on the deck and sip vino all afternoon. As with many wineries on the Finger Lakes their wines tend to lean to the less dry/sweeter side, but we did find some very tasty medium reds and red blends. The lunch offerings were simple, but very delicious. They offer a variety of sandwiches, burgers, and shareable items. One thing that stood out was their Hellbender-balsamic onion jam that they make inhouse. It was so tasty that my wife inquired about purchasing some to take home.  We look forward to returning at our next stay at the RV Resort.

His deep knowledge and passion shone through as he shared the rich history of the winery. The owners originally purchased land in Bucks County for farming but later moved to the Finger Lakes region, where they expanded into winemaking, a bakery, and a deli--a true craft-driven endeavor. Tabora was offering a special deal: buy one tasting flight, get the second free. Normally, I gravitate toward the drier the better, but the Winemaker's Jam caught my eye. My flight included: 1. 2021 Pinot Noir 2. 2021 Cabernet Franc 3. N.V. Heritage Noir 4. 2021 Maréchal Foch I started with the Pinot Noir, a light-bodied wine with aromas of cherry blossoms, strawberries, and dried fruit--absolutely sensational. Keith explained that all of Tabora's wines age in used French oak barrels but never for more than 18 months. Instead of prolonged oak aging, they transition the wine to stainless steel, preserving freshness while imparting just a touch of oak influence. Next up was the Cabernet Franc, which had soft tannins, a light body, and notes of raspberry and green bell pepper, with a slight oak finish--and wow, it was good. Then came my hands-down favorite: the Heritage Noir, a blend of different wines that was dry yet bursting with layered fruit flavors. It was truly an incredible experience on the palate. Finally, I sampled the Maréchal Foch, a sensational, jammy wine with hints of blackberry and pomegranate and a beautifully smooth finish. But Keith wasn't done yet--he had me try a few more, including an unoaked Cabernet Franc, which became another favorite. Aged 100% in stainless steel, it was bright with red fruit, hints of cherry, vanilla, and a touch of chocolate on the finish. Beyond the wines, Keith himself was a standout. As we sipped, he shared his life journey--from New York to Hawaii, a path shaped by his mother and sister. His stories were captivating, and if he ever writes a book, I'd be the first in line to read it. Cheers to Keith and Tabora for an unforgettable experience! #fingerlakes

It was a pretty rainy and crummy day, but even though a few other couples had the same idea as us to hit a winery to avoid the rain, we did not feel crowded in the space at all. The winery is certainly one of the most well decorated spots we visited. They really lean into the barnstormer and plane vibes, with appropriate decor in every facet of the interior. It was very tastefully done and gave the winery a certain fun and unique vibe. We were seated at the bar for our tasting. The bar was quite large, holding a number of different couples but giving us all adequate space to spread out, have a few glasses in front of us, and not cloud the others' conversations. You could chose from a few different preselected tastings, and I opted for a mixed red and white tasting while my husband opted for the all red tasting. My husband enjoyed all of his, particularly liking the merlot. I enjoyed the whites in my tasting more than the red (I had a weird after taste from one of them which tainted the red experience for me), favoring the chardonnay of all things (I am not a chard gal). We appreciated how our server engaged with us, telling us a bit about each wine but also navigating hte entire bar without lingering too long in one place. She answered our many questions about the wine, being knowledgable but also approachable. We had a great time and enjoyed our wines. That being said, we did take a bottle home with us, so I'm looking forward to enjoying that on a special occasion!
