We really enjoyed our wine flight here, and our server was so nice as to give us a taste of their cider as well! As good as the wine is, you could get lost checking out all they have inside! The venue is tremendous with outdoor seating, a cafe area, and wall to wall wines, cider and other trinkets. Hard to not bump into something because there's so much! I particularly liked that they did cheese pairing with each of the wines in the flight, and they also have a hot sauce that they serve with one of the wines, too! I would certainly come back if I'm ever in the area again!

We stopped in and shared a wine tasting. A lot of great merchandise to peruse. The cheese paired with the tasting was great. The staff person who helped us was delightful and informative. We didn't buy any wines but we enjoyed the experience. A beautiful setting.

We did a wine and cheese pairing tasting at Magnus Ridge and had an awesome time. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance was so welcoming and inviting and cozy. We loved some of the cheeses and wines so much that we bought more to enjoy again later before leaving. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes wine or cheese.

Get the traminette! I should've bought one or five more bottles...... The interior shop is supercute and they have so many wonderful eclectic gifts. The gentleman working on the evening we were there was extremely helpful and friendly. I wish we had more time here. Will definitely come back on our next trip

We have visited the fingerlakes wineries for fifteen years now, but have yet to visit a place like Magnus Ridge. Magnus is not a part of the traditional trail, and my husband and I found the winery to be an incredibly unique and intimate experience. You are given a menu at the cash register that includes a wine and cheese pairing (built for one person, not meant to share), or a selection of wine-only tastings. You pay and then are steered towards one of the tasting rooms. We sat down with two other couples, and the server guided us through the wines and their cheese pairing. It's amazing how some of the wines changed as you tasted them with the cheese, or how the cheese changed taste entirely. The last cheese and wine pairing tasted like strawberry cheesecake. This is my new favorite winery on the trail. We will definitely be back!

Great winery. The staff was friendly and the wine was fantastic. We did the wine and cheese tour. The wasabi cheese and the toasted onion cheese was soooooo good. I also really enjoyed a few of the wines!

What an experience this place is. They pair all the wines with cheese or some other food to compliment each other. I appreciate the science that goes into doing that. They server was very nice, explained everything well, and answered any questions we had. It was all outdoor only because of covid. Wines were good on their own. But of course better with the cheeses they were to be paired with. Would return.

Magnus Ridge Winery is quite charming and worthy of a visit if in the area. Upon entering, we were redirected to the opposite side of the room for our tasting. Magnus charges $5 for eight tastings with cheese included. The service was attentive. Visually Magnus is slightly different that other vineyards. It has a certain mystic, is dimly lit and oddly charming. Every space is filled with items for sale, ranging from wines and cheeses to t-shirts and home decor. The shopping experience here can be as interesting as the wine tasting itself, if you are in search of knick knacks. We went with a bottle of wine, the Magnus Garlic Cheddar Cheese and a tomato marinade that was literally mind-blowing. Their tasting selection is on the dry side, however if you prefer sweet, they substitute. We were pleasantly surprised by our impromptu visit and wouldn't hesitate to revisit in the future.

With COVID about wineries have been taking the appropriate steps to insure safety. Magnus is no exception. With a list of different tasting flights all accompanied by cheese which for the price is a great deal, you call in to a number and it is brought out to you. The vineyard itself has been turned into an outdoor tasting room where you can take your flight tasting find a table in a beautiful vineyard overlooking the lake and enjoy! Fast friendly service awaits by a simple call. Bottles of what u like no problem. Tables sanitized as soon as someone gets up. The wine was spectacular and the cheeky monkey dip is addicting. I cannot recommend this winery enough it is not to be missed. When you call ask for Sandra she was a true joy to speak with!

They do a system where it's contactless and you order on the phone and they call your name when the order is ready- really smart! They gave out cute little glass bottles for each sample and it came with cheese and a dip. It's $20 for a tasting for 2- with 5 wines and 2 sets of 5 cheese. We also got their 10 chocolates for $10. You get to sit between vineyards and it's super cute. Make sure you go when the weather is nice!

Soheila is fantastic. She has been so warm and welcoming each time we have stopped. Helpful and fantastic with us/customers. Lemberger first time, pinot noir second time. Gret combination of wine, setting f, and customer experience.

My group reserved same day wine tasting and it was so worth it! They take your temperature at the door and you enter the shop. The tasting rooms were absolutely beautiful and clean. We were in a tasting room by ourselves (covid friendly). There were 7 types of wine paired with 7 different cheeses/pasta. Dan welcomed us and explained the process of the tasting. He was super friendly and came to check on us a few times. The traminette paired with the wasabi cheddar was the group's favorite! We also loved the toasted onion cheddar cheese. Overall, the pairing of each wine and cheese/pasta was well done. We even got to keep the wine glass at the end of our tasting. The only complaint is they were understaffed but the staff was still calm and friendly. There were other guests who were not understanding about that.

Out of the wineries we went to tdy, this one was hands down my fave. I enjoyed each wine paired with its own flavored cheese. If they could ship to nevada, i am not sure which ones I would hv bought-they were all lovely. Outside seating was serene. And they r open til 6!

We did not have a reservation, but easily found ourselves a spot at the bar. It was a pretty rainy and crummy day, but even though a few other couples had the same idea as us to hit a winery to avoid the rain, we did not feel crowded in the space at all. The winery is certainly one of the most well decorated spots we visited. They really lean into the barnstormer and plane vibes, with appropriate decor in every facet of the interior. It was very tastefully done and gave the winery a certain fun and unique vibe. We were seated at the bar for our tasting. The bar was quite large, holding a number of different couples but giving us all adequate space to spread out, have a few glasses in front of us, and not cloud the others' conversations. You could chose from a few different preselected tastings, and I opted for a mixed red and white tasting while my husband opted for the all red tasting. My husband enjoyed all of his, particularly liking the merlot. I enjoyed the whites in my tasting more than the red (I had a weird after taste from one of them which tainted the red experience for me), favoring the chardonnay of all things (I am not a chard gal). We appreciated how our server engaged with us, telling us a bit about each wine but also navigating hte entire bar without lingering too long in one place. She answered our many questions about the wine, being knowledgable but also approachable. We had a great time and enjoyed our wines. Barnstormer was a great rec from our various servers etc while in the Finger Lakes - while the wines themselves may not be at my top, the vibe and service did stand out. That being said, we did take a bottle home with us, so I'm looking forward to enjoying that on a special occasion!

The Bubbly Catawba 2023 and Abby Rose were standouts - bright, playful, and so easy to enjoy. The Niagara 2023 had a similar profile, leaning a bit more grape-forward, but still refreshing. The winery is slightly confusing because it is named Hickory Hollow as the Yelp page suggests, but they serve Nathan K wines in addition to Hickory Hollow wines. It can be confusing for those looking for one or the other! But with some searching, we ultimately found the location we were looking for. We stopped on a pretty overcast and rainy day, and we found ourselves to be the only ones in the tasting room. The room is large indoors and with ample seating on the patio outside for nicer days. The interior features a lot of wood themes with low tables as well as bar seating / standing for the actual tastings. Lots of open space, so it would be conducive to a group of folks or even a party! Upon arrival, we decided to do a tasting. We did a tasting with the only employee on the ground, who we learned is the daughter of the owner and brother to Nathan K. She was really lovely to talk with (loved chatting about city vs FLX life and the food scene in all parts of NY and PA with her), but she didn't provide the *most* detail and explanation for each of our wines. No big deal, but having a server or sommelier walk us through our tasting is our preference to really make the experience shine. The wine was solid - not our favorite that we went to, but their reds definitely stood out from the rest. We had a nice time chatting with our server, and we were happy that Nathan K himself walked through the room during our tasting so we could introduce Nathan K to Nathan K! We wound up leaving with a bottle of Cab Franc, which was one of our faves from the tasting and of course, bore the Nathan K label, which my husband adored. I would definitely like to make it back and enjoy the outdoor area with a more informed wine tasting in the future! But thank you for indulging my husband with his own labeled wine!
