A hand is holding a wine glass filled with red wine, positioned in front of a scenic outdoor landscape featuring green fields, trees, and a blue sky with scattered clouds. The background includes a distant horizon with some buildings and a body of water, suggesting a rural or vineyard setting. The glass has a small decorative gecko design on it.

I really enjoyed this winery. I'm not usually a Rieseling drinker, but the Bullhorn was very good, especially in the hot weather. My favorites were the 2019 Cabernet Franc and the Merlot. Basically, every wine I tasted in the 6-wine flight was solid, though I prefer reds. The complimentary tasting of the Red Newt wine in a bag was also really good. I honestly didn't know wine in a pouch could be that good!!! The views are lovely and the patio is shaded. Excellent vibes all around.

So glad to see that they brought back the hot lunch menu at this winery . We really enjoyed our lunch. There were ample options for lunch and great wine too. This has been a favorite place for many years. I highly recommend a visit!

We visited for a wine tasting and enjoyed the wonderful wine and beautiful views. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly and the Gewürztraminer was so good we couldn't leave without getting a bottle to enjoy later. A great spot for anyone who appreciates a good wine!

Pretty good wines with a nice view. Very relaxing atmosphere! Our server took our tasting flight choices, brought them to us at our awesome seat outside, and then left us alone, just coming back once to see how we were doing. They have several tasting flight options, but the wines in each are chosen for you, rather than you going down a huge list and choosing four. I'll definitely be back!

On our recent visit to the area, my wife & I stopped in Red Newt Cellars. It came highly recommended by friends we met on our trip. Glad they did. The person who did our wine tasting did a great job. Very friendly. Explained the wines well (forgot her name). We found their wines had such a great taste. Full bodied. Sooo good! Must have been. I know I bought every wine from my tasting. I usually never do that. We bought a case and probably 3 bottles beside that. Just like other wineries in the area, tastings were very reasonable. It was very clean, and staff was very friendly. View of Lake Seneca outside was great. We would definitely make this a stop when we go back. I know we will be purchasing many bottles again!

Need I just remind people that this place got a solid 95 points from James Suckling?! My boyfriend and I went there on a Saturday afternoon, arriving around one of the peak hours. We made the reservation ahead of time and was able to be seated without any wait. Our server are very friendly and attentive. The menu is divided into glasses of choice, tadpoles of choice, and food section. For wine tasting, you have to order food. We ordered a bunch of food and wines, but here is my favorites: Charcuterie board - it comes in larger portion than I had expected. This includes three types of meat, some candied pecans, small assort of cheese and jam, and baguette slices. It comes in a cute black cheeseboard and taste very good. One thing that surprised me was the candied pecans lol. It's so good, and it's topped with honey Tango oaks Riesling - one of my favorite from today's tasting! Very floral and light. I don't know too much about wine but this clicked for me. On the menu it uses the word "elegant" to describe it. I don't know how elegant is a taste but it sure did taste like that. The Knoll - deserve the 95 from James suckling! This has a very vibrate and complex taste, and definitely one of the best dry Riesling! Overall the Red Newt is worth a visit, for the quality wines it produces!

We arrived and were greeted. The winery inside is large. They were seating everyone outside. They were not doing any wine tastings, flights etc; how are you supposed to know what you like. That to me was a big turnoff. Other places were finding ways to make it work. I ordered a glass of a red wine, it was okay. My wife ordered something white that she like and got a bottle. We had to purchase a food item as well. To me it was a waste.

Great gluten free options!

New discovery - the Red Newt Cafe is our new go-to for lunch on the east side of the lake. They are educated about gluten allergies and I had tons of options. I had a side salad, spicy tomato soup and fried pickles chips!! (Soups and those fried appetizer type items are really uncommon for those with gluten allergies.) Everything was delicious! The rest of our party had sandwiches (pork, blt) and mac-n-cheese and they all loved everything. The post lunch wine tasting was 6 of choice for $6.

$6 for 6 wine tasters I had the: - 2013 Riesling - Tango Oaks - This is a nice Riesling, voted best American Riesling - 2013 Riesling - Lahoma - great brunch wine. Very fruit forward, but not too sweet - 2017 Cabernet franc - forestry aromatics, big fruit flavors, and a slight spiciness at the end. I really like this one. I can imagine it going great with all the foods. - 2013 merlot - glacier ridge - went to barrel for 12-15 months. Great for red meats and big game. Big bold flavors. - 2012 merlot - full bodied, great with vegetarian food dishes. - hellbender - super strong wine. Comes with chocolate chips. The thing is to do wine chocolate wine. The chocolate chips definitely change the flavor of the wine.

Called ahead of time to make sure dogs were allowed and was told yes but got turned away when we arrived because of an event. Never again.

We had the chance to try some great beers, and one unique experience stood out: mixing two beers together, a concept similar to a blend in the wine world. As the bartender put it, "It's a game we like to play." On tap, they had a solid lineup: 1. Hector Logger - A traditional lager (4.9% ABV) 2. Goatmaster Kölsch - A crisp Kölsch (5.1% ABV), which I tried and really enjoyed 3. RedBeard - A Red Ale (5% ABV), a reliable go-to beer 4. Cream Ale - A bit different at 6.7% ABV, more robust than the typical lower-ABV versions 5. Golden Crush - A hazy IPA (5.1% ABV) that had nice fruit-forward notes, but not overpowering 6. X IPA - An Imperial IPA (7.8% ABV) Mosaic! Mosaic! - A Pale Ale (5.2% ABV) that followed the traditional pale ale profile and was very enjoyable 7. Goatmeal Stout - An Oatmeal Stout (8.1% ABV) Then came the blends--something I hadn't seen much of before. The only one I tried was 1. Goat Juice, a 50/50 mix of Hazy IPA and Kölsch (5.1% ABV). It was bursting with amazing flavors, the best of both worlds. Some of their other blends included: 2. Red X - A mix of Red Ale and Imperial IPA 3. Goatgasm - A Kölsch and IPA blend 4. Headbutt - A Stout and Cream Ale combo I tend to gravitate toward Hazies, Kölsches, and Pale Ales, so this place hit all the right notes for me. I can't wait to come back and see what new creations they have on tap next time!

Located off Lake Keuka, The Olney Place offers a good variety of sandwiches and other food items as well as nice craft beers in their tap room. I went here with my family and friends for lunch. My friends told us about The Olney as a great place for sandwiches and craft brews, and I was totally down for it. The Olney is a big shop with indoor and patio seating areas overlooking Lake Keuka. It has counter service. We ordered three sandwiches. One was the Mustang, the other one was Scotsman, and the third one, I can't remember. The Mustang had ham, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, oil, and vinegar on an 8" bread roll. The Scotsman originally came with tuna salad, banana peppers, bacon, and tomatoes in a wrap, but I asked for chicken salad and on an 8" roll instead. The sandwiches were flavorful and delicious. Mine hit the spot. I also had a Hawaiian Punch Sour beer from Rising Storm brewery, and it was refreshingly delicious. I had a good experience and would go back here. Check out this establishment when in the Penn Yan area of upstate NY.
