I was told that I would love this place because I love trinkets, and boy were they right. Trinkets as far as the eye can see, with the movie labyrinth playing behind the bar. It's such a quirky place, I only wish I would've tried some of their cocktails. It was a bit busy and hard to find a spot to sit, but overall, the atmosphere was so lovely. read more

This was a fun bar to visit! It was very busy but we were able to find a spot quickly. The server was really great, too! We didn't try food, unfortunately. We wanted to play games but they were either taken, or missing some pieces so that was a bummer. But we enjoyed our time anyway :) read more

I went here for a drink before an event with 6 of my friends. I typically have a great experience but this time was majorly lacking. Service- there was zero. Even though a service was coming around to different tables, he didn't come up to us once in an hour! We had to order our food and drinks at the bar every time. Drinks: my beer was extremely flat and tasteless. I love the atmosphere and fun rooms so I'll go back, but something was off this night! read more

Good spot for a summer night if you want to eat and drink outside. We were looking for a spot and we're drawn to the outdoor seating area. I liked my Watermelon on Mars cocktail as it was light and not too sweet. The Quinoa Salad was pretty good but the Portobello Mushroom Burger was my favorite. I read the other reviews about the off service but didn't experience this on the Thursday night I went. I'd recommend for a late night drink. If you sit outside, there is very little light and you may need your phone flashlight to navigate around and find a table. Overall, I liked the vibe and had a great time! read more

Ah, Forest Room 5, what a funky and unique spot, if only your staff were the tiniest bit nicer. The bar has taxidermized animals, mini dioramas, hidden rooms, a tepee, a library, and many more things I have yet to discover. I love to take people from out of town here for a unique experience. The rotating draft list is decent as are their drinks and I was pleasantly surprised by the food I've gotten. However, do not expect to get the warm fuzzies from the staff. They seem to take pleasure in being nasty and curt- we even had our happy hour menu snatched from our hands at 6:01 the other night. I think it's meant to be part of the whole vibe, but I'd love to feel a bit more welcome there. read more

You know that Cards Against Humanity Card that reads: "What would grandma find disturbing, yet oddly charming?" Yeah. That pretty much sums ups this bar. As I walked in, I was immediately greeted by a wall of horrifying antiques, including: old dolls, bad taxidermy, vintage books / toys, old teddy bears and more! The drinks were pretty good and the outdoor patio was great. However, I just couldn't get past the feeling that I had just walked into some serial killer's hiding spot from the 1970's. We came here to grab a drink while awaiting our spot at the Truffle Table down the block and were pleasantly surprised to find such a cute bar with an impressive cocktail menu! It was too cold to sit outside, but they had fun lit-up tables on the patio that we will be back for in summer. Inside was just as fun and eclectic with random items stacked to the high ceiling behind the bar and one long table down the middle, again with muted neon lighting underneath. I had a hard time deciding which of their unique crafted cocktails to choose, but given the weather I went with the "It's ok, we saw it on TV" which is essentially a spiced cider hot toddy and it was incredibly rich and delicious! The perfect winter warmer! Our waitress was super sweet as well. We'll be back to try more and perhaps some food next time! read more

Ambiance is great. Service has harmed the experience. The male bar tender with the long hair refused to split a check simply because we were all sitting at the same table. Been here a few times, and always had the same bar tender. Each time he's snarky and inattentive. Better staff will immediately improve this bar 10x read more

If you're in the Highlands, this place is a must stop! An inside bar that feels like you're outside. Bonus...they also have a sweet outside with fire pits. Make sure to try one of their unique signature cocktails. I recommend the Huckleberry Lynx and the Bear Heaven! read more

The bartender working tonight, Adrian, was about as bad as they come. Rude, unhelpful and argumentative. The owner was there and he after I explained how inclined I was to go anywhere else when they had overheard me telling my date we should find somewhere else to go, and instead of any sort of apology he just told me it's a problem they don't have. I'm sure it's great when it's busy and you're just ordering the "go-tos" walking up to a crowded bar it's fun to be here especially with the setup but if you're planning on having a quieter night this ain't it. read more

Very interesting bar - definitely has a woodsy, outdoor vibe to it. We sat in the basement which was pretty dark but still cozy. Our server was incredibly nice and accommodating for our group. I love theme bars and anything gimmicky, so this bar had the potential to be one of my favorite spots. Unfortunately, the bartenders are just super unfriendly and unlikeable. I can literally feel how much they hate their jobs. I've gone a handful of times and every time I assume that it's a one-time thing, but every time they are rude, annoyed, and unpleasant. The drinks are also way too expensive for how mediocre they are. read more

This place is weird and relaxed. It's got all sorts of nostalgia and old cartoons running. If you want shots and beers, it's cool. It's roudy. There's gum stuck under the bar and tables. It's dirty and easy. Lots of locals come here after working their kitchen shifts. The bartenders are surly. It's a fun rambunctious crowd. It is not a place for a refined cocktail. Go here, but know that it's bizarre. You'll be ok. read more

I have been coming to this bar for several years, but recently lost a very valuable and sentimental ring during a very cold evening. After noticing it was gone just after closing (around 2AM) I went back and spoke with management. THEY WERE INCREDIBLE. I wish I had a name for the guy who took full responsibility for finding the ring and returning it to me. Not only did they return the ring, and declined a cash offer, but he called me several times to ensure I was aware of what was happening and when, if at all, I could return to get my ring. Clearly, there was a lot of anxiety surrounding this as they do not open until 4 and I was trying to remember how my ring could have possibly fallen off, but I was thrilled when I received the call stating they had actually found the ring. I do remember the name of the cleaner, Colleen. The integrity, honesty, and all around kindness has 100% earned my return, and forever, business. HUGE thanks to the whole staff at this location. I kind of hated this place. It's a hipster bar and unless you fit into the crowd or are already a regular, you'll have a hard time getting service. If you're lucky enough to get a drink, savor it, because the holier-than-thou weirdo bartender probably won't get you a second drink. Also, the bar stools are literal tree stumps. Super uncomfortable. Seriously. I don't think I'd come back here. read more

Forest Room 5. 5 stars. This outdoorsy themed bar was just the spot to top off our wilderness adventure. It was a nice night, so we enjoyed our bevvys in their outdoor seating. I'm talking tree stumps for seats, TPs to hide out in, fire pits, and trees and other brush that truly make you feel like you're in the forest. My PICs and I claimed the TP and camped out all evening. Unfortunately, I didn't take a close look at the cocktail menu, but I enjoyed a couple of old fashions. They were made to perfection. I used to love this bar (prior to COVID) for its atmosphere, food, and drinks. It's definitely gone downhill and employees don't seem to care. Service is extremely slow. It took over 20+ minutes to get one cocktail and a draft beer brought to us. Only saw one waitress actively doing her job. The other employees stayed inside the bar and from what we could see from outside, not helping out at all. It was quite empty for a Friday night and service shouldn't have been this slow with so many employees just standing around doing nothing. read more

This place is so ~hip~ and honestly a gem in Denver!! If you don't walk past it (which you might, tbh), it's honestly worth the venture to come inside. Loves: + Outside patio that feels like an intimate, enclosed campsite (hello, tree trunks and baby fires!) + Cool & not NYC-priced cocktails + Swing upstairs on 2nd floor + Just tree trunk vibes all around!! What's to not like? The bar can get too crowded... as in never sit at the bar on a weekend unless you want people hovering over your date. But beyond that, I'm a fan of this tree-loving bar. read more

This bar has caught my eye many times as I walked around Laver Street, there's always music…read morebumping, and you can see the neon life leading you downstairs, underground, enticing. I grabbed some dinner next-door and decided to pop in and see what it looks like. The vibe was great, several rooms with the swampy decor and atmosphere, the menu is seasonal, and the cocktails are constantly changing, I can't remember which one I tried, but it was good, I recall it not being exactly what I expected but good. It was a Friday night around eight and was starting to get busy, when I turned around there was 10 people in line at the bar. Seating is plenty full, but since the bar was packed, it was limited, but we were able to rearrange some chairs and make a little space for ourselves. Definitely a good place to stop with friends on the way to something else, maybe not somewhere I'd spend the whole night as the cocktails are a little pricey for that and it starts and noisy, but definitely a smooth vibe

The music is good, mostly. But you may need to hop around as it can change so much. So, wander around, you might get lost, but you'll find you way again! (or just ask! ha) Not as great, the drinks are SO weak. It's a little ridic. If I'm paying $15 or whatever for one shot and soda, please let me taste the alcohol? Like, come on! I can buy a bottle for that. Just let me taste it. Bartenders can be hit or miss. I've had some totally cool ones and some really strange ones that seem to have personality issues. Not as much lately, though, just overall in the times I've come here over a few years. Maybe the current bar manager (who introduces themselves as such when you walk in) has got it whipped more into shape. Can you just tell them to include booze in drinks?! The drinks were well balanced and flavorful, but our server who took our order was behind the bar polishing glasses instead of making our drinks. One of our friends gave up and left. Speed it up! There was a line outside to get in. If drinks were made in a timely fashion you would get a lot more business! It would have been nice to see a menu to try something unique as well.
