Both ladies I spoke to were nice. The storage unit was a disappointment. Day one I found a dirty full sized mattress in it and it hadn't been swept. I called them no answer. Forest Creek Mini Storage isn't just any storage facility. I've had others in the past where I wouldn't even let my mother in law walk in. At Forest Creek Mini Storage it's so clean I'd let my mother in law sleep there. All kidding aside this place is top notch. The lady they have running this place is nasty, miserable and rude. You would think this was a storage facility in the hood instead of Forest Creek. I went in to buy boxes. She had a rude tone of voice and cut me off while I was asking her a question. I told her I'd be back and she threw her pen down and let out a loud sigh. My Son had been a customer at Forest Creek for a few months, and had spoken highly of his experience. What took place when I went over with him to the storage facility was quite another story. We had a family emergency and he lost his key to the storage lock. My son called the manager and she was kind cordial and courteous. She said that she would call the owner to see if he would come give him access to the storage and remove the lock to accommodate us during our emergency. The owner drove up in his truck, told my son he didn't give a d*** about my son and continued to say that it wasn't a f******* emergency, that he was the owner of the place and he didn't consider this an emergency. He was rude, belligerent and profane. Neither my son nor I said a word to him regarding his behavior during this tantrum. My son and I are African Americans, and being a Pastor of a multi-racial Church, we teach our congregation to respect all people regardless of their ethnicity. We were talked to as though we were slaves before emancipation took place in America. My son asked him if there was something else wrong and the owner whining said his stomach hurt. Both my son and I were injured from lifting so many things in our move. I could barely turn my head because of the injury to my neck. That still would not, and does not have given me the right to talk to anyone the way he talked to us. When he drove off my son called the manager and again she was kind courteous and polite. He complimented her for her excellent customer service and stated that he would pay whatever was necessary to get out of the storage units there at Forest Creek due to his treatment (or should I say mistreatment) by the owner. She, following a pause of silence apologized to him and said that he didn't owe them anything and she was sorry that he had to experience what had just taken place. She was the one bright spot in the situation where the owner seen to be a whiny racist baby acting is though he was entitled and that he had the right to mistreat anyone who felt like. Please be aware if you intend to rent a storage unit from this man. Be sure to bring an extra dose of professionalism and maturity, because from our experience, HE HAS NONE TO OFFER! I've been a VERY satisfied customer of Forest Creek Mini Storage for more than 10 years and the manager, Stephanie, has never been anything but professional, pleasant, cheerful and helpful towards me. There are MANY storage facilities in the area and I've used a couple of them on a short-term basis purely for convenience in specific circumstances but I've always ended-up renting the bulk of my storage space at FCMS and will continue to do so. One reviewer here blasted her, then went on to trash another local business that same day. So I guess she was either having a bad day or maybe she just loves to complain. Consider the source, but please don't blame Stephanie. The other review is clearly totally made-up because, for example, FCMS doesn't close at noon on Saturdays, they close at 1p and that fact is clearly listed on the FCMS website and on the front door to their office. On another point, that same reviewer claims that they called and spoke to Stephanie at 4p, when once again, FCMS clearly closes at 2p on weekdays. If you are going to trash a person's reputation and livelihood, you should at least get your facts straight! read more

My husband called at 11:30 on Saturday, wanting to get a parking spot to park our trailer. The rude lady who answered told us that they closed at noon. He said he'd be there in 5 minutes, but she said it would take too long to fill out the paperwork. Fine. I called on Monday, at 4:00. I explained that she had spoken to my husband on Saturday and that we'd like to come in and get the spot. What time did they close? She very rudely informed me that she "had told my husband on Saturday that the hours were 9-2 during the week." Seriously? Such rudeness before we even became customers? We'll take our business elsewhere. read more
