SO Grateful, I had to Yelp Them!!! Over the years, my Dad (Military Veteran who refuses to get help from ANYONE for ANYTHING) has always relied on this place to fix whatever obscure issue his or my Mom's car was having. He wouldn't OPENLY admit it, but this Father/Son team has literally NEVER FAILED him and has SOLVED PROBLEMS that he couldn't. So when I needed some straight answers regarding my 2008 Honda Accord, I went to Dad and he told me about this place (Tx Dad).... Going to SKIP the VERY Long list of details/examples of how my previous dealership and smaller shops (who I trusted) screwed me and made me feel ok about it at the time *sadness* (ex: "premium brake pads" = part # associated with O'Reilly auto part store on the corner and charged for "PREMIUM Part"); brakes lasted just long enough that they were no longer under the job warranty (Murphy's Law). I guess you never know until you find a TRULY HONEST MECHANIC and they (THIS PLACE) had to give me the bad news. I had Foreign Auto Center (Car/Auto?) do my 110K, 120K mile service (I was at 116K and need to stay in warranty), also front brakes (it was time) and then Oliver found a handful of minor things that needed replacement to avoid MAJOR work in the future. His attention to detail is... dare I say, OBSESSIVE. He KNOWS his stuff. I explained *using a variety of sound effects* some of my concerns with my front end that nobody could seem to diagnose (he never laughed at me, NOT once).... And he gave me a preliminary diagnosis and assured me that it wasn't going to break the car and I could hold off of the repair for now.... Later that day, he couldn't let it go and investigated, then FIXED my OBSCURE ISSUE and charged me for the part (his actual cost) and a FRACTION of the time that he actually spent investigating the issue. I literally hugged this man - TWICE!!! Needless to say, I literally can't trust anyone else with my car. Yes, I have shopped around (ALWAYS) and while they may not be the absolute cheapest, they are HONEST (brutally honest) and don't cheap out on parts to make a profit. When Oliver writes "Premium ceramic pads" on my invoice, I did research online, he didn't mess around, he put some meaty azz premium ceramic pads on my V6 *love this guy* PROS: *KNOWLEDGEABLE (like scary, google amount of info on my car & it's deficiencies... i.e. obscure caliper pin issue on my year of accord, not yet recalled, Oliver knew about it.) *HONEST (seriously, brutally honest) *REASONABLE (dare I say, cheap for the level of quality and attention to detail) *I don't anticipate having to return for quite a while *BIG Smiles* *Family owned and they've been there for YEARS!!! So not worried about them honoring the warranties... they do. CONS: *They won't let you do an oil change if you're just a person off the street; good clients only. *The place is ALWAYS BUSY, so you really have to call ahead (like most shops). ~NOTE: BE RESPECTFUL to the people who literally make your car go! The owner was talking to me about my car and some idiot pulled half-way into the shop and HONKED for service?! Are you f*ing kidding me people? DO NOT DO THAT. It's just rude! Joseph and His Son Oliver are two of the best, most knowledgeable mechanics I have ever had the pleasure of meeting!!! Aside from their their vast knowledge of automobiles, they are HONEST! Oliver and his dad Joseph are really great people and one of the best mechanics in Vallejo hands down. I been known them for many years doing there Smog's for there customers vehicles. In my 5 year career as a smog technician there wasn't any car Oliver and Joseph could not fix for any vehicle that they had repaired. I've smogged many cars in Vallejo from many shops you name it I know them and most of the time there vehicles fail.. but not only once. More like two to three times they'd have to bring it in for a re test. Oliver is hands down a scientist or chemist in the automotive industry lol this man can diagnose anything! My friend had a 2004 fx35 that other shops cannot figure why the engine light was throwing a code for a 02 sensor and they had replaced it few times and not even the Nissan dealership can even figure out wth was wrong with that car. We took it to Oliver and he figured it out through extensive research and that he had to replace the computer it was running too rich. Once he repaired the fx35 the vehicle passed Smog and runs way better. The whole time it was a computer issue that the other mechanics miss diagnosed it and the vehicle was sitting at there lot for months trying to figure it out . Overall, if you want your vehicle done correctly and right this is the place to take your car. You get what you pay for! If I could I would give Oliver Kish @ Foreign Car Center 10 STARS OUT OF 5! My steering on my Nissan Altima Hybrid was totally whacked out. I went to Concord Nissan and another mechanic shop in a Vallejo and they BOTH misdiagnosed the problem! Took it to Oliver Kish, diagnosed it RIGHT the first time and did it for half the price base on what the dealer was going to charge me. And the Concord Nissan dealer misdiagnosed it incorrectly and fricken charged me $185 just to find out what was wrong---what a complete RIP OFf! Been going to Concord Nissan since 2010 but I'll never go back there again. Oliver fixed the problem right the FIRST TIME and my steering is like new! He and and his father Joseph also fixed my BMW Z4 and now my electrical problem is gone! Oliver and his pops Joseph are very trustworthy, honest, and charges a very reasonable price to fix your car right the first time.....all their business comes from word of mouth referrals and they're BUSY..they do NO advertising.....must be doing something right after being in business for more than 35 years in Vallejo....they are SECOND to none. Amazing levels of skill, knowledge and craftsmanship. You won't find a better shop anywhere. Oliver is simply brilliant when it comes to all things mechanical or electrical, and always takes the time to review the options with his customers. After having my son's Nissan Maxima towed to a local shop in Benicia I was informed that, after 10+ hours of diagnostics, they had no idea what was wrong with the vehicles electrical system. On the advice of a family member, we had the car towed to Foreign Car Center and were blown away when Oliver quickly figured out the problem and recommended the correct fix. He even saved us hundreds of dollars by replacing a chip on the cars cpu instead of the entire cpu. Definitely a shop you can trust, work that is done right and a standard of craftsmanship that I've never experienced at other shops. Well done!! read more

We have been taking our cars to Joseph and Oliver for 10 years.They are honest and genius at their craft. Yesterday we took our 98 Tacoma it has over 300k,and we thought it was done, Joseph just listened. Pop the hood, reconnected a hose and we were on our way!!!
