From the moment you pull up and see two antique Ford's outside by an old time gas pump, you knew you were in for something special. Then you come inside and are greeted by the hostess, you feel at home. Then we met Megan, our server. Polite, friendly with excellent follow up skills. She took out drink orders and refilled three over areas simultaneously. We gave her a challenge with our food orders, switching out buns and me ordering Onion Rings instead of fries. But both orders showed up moments later, perfect as ordered. The place is nicely decorated with tons of flat screens showing games and Models of antique Ford's everywhere. The manager stopped by for a moment checking on our experience. That means a lot to me. Another sketchy review ... Ford's garage is a really cool joint. They easily accommodated our group of 7 urban sketchers and set us up near the bar so we could sketch, eat and drink on a hot Sunday afternoon. Yesterday we came for a birthday dinner and we were disappointed since we had made a reservation for 7:15pm but didn't get seated till 7:35pm. When we first walked up to the Hostesses one named Kennedy and the other girl with the long braids they looked at us with a blank stair and I had to greet them, not very welcoming. They told us with a hostile tone "you're checked in". After that when we were at the table the server told us he would be bringing us the check but me and my cousins looked at each other puzzled because we weren't done ordering. We accepted it due to the fact that we felt like we were getting kicked out. First time, everything exceeded my expectations! Our server Madison gave us the best experience. The food was phenomenal! The appetizers- the tower of onion rings,cooked to perfection. The chicken wings were enormous and delicious. Then we got to our Ford's Signature Burger, juicy with some much flavor and served on a brioche bun! Chef's Kiss for the entire meal! The Ambiance definitely fits the name. Ford memorabilia is everywhere. Very creative touch. Even the restrooms go all out with the theme. Five of us for lunch and service was excellent. I'd say the food was good, but definitely not great. The menu for lunch at least is overwhelming with how many choices of burger, sandwich, and salad variations. We sampled burgers and salads for the most part. The standard or basic burger was good and cooked to order, but nothing to write home about on the meat flavor. The server we had so so sweet! We took my dad here for father's day and the atmosphere was fun with everything being car themed. Went here for an anniversary and had a blast. This place is part museum, part restaurant, part bar and part art gallery. Between the curated and sensational menu of classic southern style food or traditional dishes, their massive bar with a huge range of options, their historical plaques and displays about the Ford Motor Company, or my favorite part of the restaurant: the creative decor!! Saw this place from the highway and had to turn around and check it out, and we are glad we did. Right through the door we are greeted with enthusiasm and welcomed in like they were expecting us.. The atmosphere puts off a welcoming family and friends vibe. The bar has sports on the screens and the dining area was nice. The servers were friendly and quick with our food which was just perfect. The staff that I spoke with were very knowledgeable about the company and food, and the Manager was very helpful in answering my questions about Ford's Garage and its history. Service appears to be going down. Went today with my wife for dinner, place was about 1/3 full. They made us wait 5 minutes to be seated, ok, no big deal. But then we spent 15 minutes just looking at each other and no waiter came at all to take care of us. Walked myself to the front to talk to the greeter, who seemed to be completely uninterested to take care of us, to ask whether or not we had an assigned waitress, he said yes and pointed to the one, I ask if she even KNEW she had a new table to care of, answer was "SHE SHOULD KNOW", go figure Went back to our table, wife and I waited 5 more minutes, nothing. Adrianna (I think was her name) assisted us all night and she was lovely. She was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. This was our first go and he had the pulled pork nachos as an appetizer. We'll probs give that a 7/10ish. All of the goodness was all on the top, which was great, but then the middle and bottom parts were dry. We tried the High Octane Burger (10/10!!) and the Burnt Ends Sandwich (my hubby rates that an 8.5/10). The theme of the restaurant was intriguing and we loved looking at all the convo pieces. If you want a burger this is the place. I had the modest Roadster - Brisket Ranchero. It is a 1/3 patty with burnt ends. It was plenty and satisfying. This roadster does not come with lettuce and tomato. I asked for some of the side but I didn't need it because the burger was juicy enough. I opted for sweet potato tater tots upgraded side. If you had your tail gate stollen from your 70's model Ford pickup, it very likely that it was sold to the Ford's Garage restaurant for their interior décor. You may be entitled to compensation. The auto repair garage theme is present from the gas pump nozzles used as door handles on the front door, to the radiator hose clamps used as napkin rings. Authentic and reproductions of gas station and auto parts signs, equipment, engines and cars fill the restaurant. The attention to detail is obvious. Very nicely done. The decor is entertaining. The food served here, displays that same effort and attention to detail. I had the Chicken Henry: Grilled Chicken Breast, Topped with Chardonnay Lemon Butter Sauce, Goat Cheese, Basil, and Sun-Dried Tomatoes. This meal comes with the choice of two sides. This is my favorite "Italian" dish. Ford's Garage made it right! My wife went with an excellent Blackened Salmon Salad: 8oz Blackened Norwegian Atlantic Salmon, Mixed Greens, Cherry Tomatoes, Red Onions, Cucumbers, and Avocado. Excellent service. Really cool environment. Ford parts and signs everywhere. (If you've ever been to Boomerjacks.. it's very similar environment). The food itself was really good- we got the onion ring tower and burndt ends brisket grilled cheese (I would like to note that the brisket pieces were very fatty and chewy- so if you're a texture person- you will not enjoy). Ford's is a really neat place to watch sports in a unique setting. There's a car propped up on top of the bar and plenty of televisions scattered around for the sport fanatics. The food was okay and the cocktails were so-so. We did have a very attentive server so that was a plus. read more
