The real problem is that when you try to check on the status of the order you can't get anyone to answer the phone. if you leave a message no one returns the call. Over the past month I have visited For Eyes in Natick twice. Both times there was one optician working. As a result I had to wait 30 minutes although there was one person ahead of me the first time and two ahead of me the second time. I am not please with the service that I received from the store in Natick. I had a eye exam and purchased new glasses in September 2022. In December the frames broke and I lost one of the lens. The store ordered new lens, for which I had to pay for which I think should have be covered under a warranty, since I only had them for less than 3 months. When the lens came in, they were not the same has the original. The replacements were miss the transition lens. In order for them to remake the correct lens they need to ship my current frame back to the lab. This would leave me without a pair of glasses which I need 24/7. First off, I need to make it perfectly clear that this review is in no way a reflection of the incredible Optometrist, Dr. Fattahy. I no longer live in the Natick area, but I make a point to drive over an hour from the North Shore, just to see her for my annual exam. I also used to come here because Tom was so stellar at helping me pick out glasses, but he no longer works here. Earlier this month, I went in for an eye exam and got a new prescription for glasses. Great experience with Dr. H, very lack luster experience with Tammy, the otherwise distracted and dismissive sales person. Now, I've been unemployed since March due to COVID, so there was no way I was walking out of there spending $400 on new glasses and sunglasses, as much as I need them. This morning, I called For Eyes, after not receiving a return call I had requested last week, and unfortunately Tammy took my call. I asked about obtaining my PD for my prescription. PD - Pupillary Distance - is a number needed to order glasses online. Now, I know they have my PD on file, because Tom measured it when I bought my glasses there last year. This number does not change year over year. Tammy proceeded to sort of scold and lecture me on how much training is involved in taking a PD measurement, and told me that if I wanted that number, I would have to fork over $50 for it, because they absolutely do not give it out. This isn't what I needed, Tammy, amidst a terrifying pandemic in which I am a high-risk individual, unable to buy food to eat, and borrowing money from my long-since retired parents to pay rent for my husband and I. By law, updated 12/12/2017, the Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure and the Board of Registration in Optometry states: "The Board requires that - upon patient request - the inter-pupillary distance be entered on any prescription. No additional fee may be charged for providing the binocular PD." Further, under the Federal Trade Commission's "Prescription Rights for Glasses and Contact Lenses," the FTC states that "After you get an eye exam for glasses... your eye care prescriber has to give you a copy of your prescription - whether you ask for it or not. It's the law. To get it, the prescriber can't make you: request it, pay an extra fee, buy eyeglasses or contact lenses, or sign a waiver of release." Again - in the state of Massachusetts, that prescription explicitly includes the Pupillary Distance number, as described above. A complaint has been filed with the BBB. read more

My annual eye exam went smoothly. I got a reminder post card in the mail to call and scheduled an appt. Making the appointment was easy and so was my time there. The staff are professional and all went well and I was in and out within 30 mins. I've been going there for a few years now and have been happy. I got a set of sample contacts to try and paid for my appt with my FSA card. Good to keep the eyes in check. read more

The For Eyes employee was super helpful and able to get my daughter comfortable looking at glasses. We were both even laughing! The glasses fit her face much better than the ones we found in other stores. They were buy one get one free too! Tom filled out the insurance paperwork and had it all ready for me to send off for reimbursement. They will adjust the lenses if her prescription changes in the next month or so. So this was an interesting experience. I went here October 2017 for an eye exam for a new pair of glasses. They specifically asked me if I wanted to get a contact fitting as well which I declined with the woman at the front. When the doctor came in and the eye exam started, it was very apparent that I was getting a contact fitting so by this point I just laughed to myself but decided that a few boxes of contacts that I could use later on wouldn't hurt. I was told that my contacts were not in-stock so they had to order me a sample and they would give me a call when it was ready. from October to December, I heard nothing from the eye care place. I didn't really need the contacts in the first place so I just put it on the back burner until I wanted or needed them. Today, I came in and I asked whether or not my prescription was still active which they said my glass prescription was. I inquired about my contact prescription and they said that since they allegedly called me to try the samples months ago and I "never came to try them on" so my prescription was never written up. Not once did I get a phone call or the "multiple messages" they left me. Okay cool, can I get those samples and my prescription than? Nope. On top of being out the $75 for the contact fitting that I didn't want at the time, they literally told me that the price had gone up and that I should just do another contact fitting. For what? So you can swindle me again? No thank you. Fool me once shame on you For Eyes. Not letting you fool me twice. read more

Worst experience ever! I showed up to my appointment on Monday at 10am and they said that I didn't have an appointment scheduled and Jesse spoke down to me and asked "are you sure you didn't make it at lens crafters?" I showed them the appointment confirmation email that I received and then Dr. Maryann Fattahy came out and there seemed like mass confusion. The place was empty, and they were all just standing around, but Jesse said that "it wasn't feasible" for them to do the appointment. After more confusion, they said that they actually could do the appointment. As I was filling out the consent form for Jesse, I asked a question. Jesse was explaining it to me but then Dr. Fattahy interrupted him and said "the patient can read the paragraph and if he has any questions he can ask me in the appointment". Just then, I got a really bad vibe so I told them that I would rather just take my medical records elsewhere. They couldn't find the consent form to release my records and then had to make multiple calls to get the consent form. Again, mass confusion! As they were photocopying my records, Dr. Fattahy changed her tune and said " are you sure you don't want the appointment, it will take less time to do the appointment then to photocopy your records". I told her that Jesse told me that "it wasn't feasible" (his exact words) and I took my records and made an appointment at lens crafters. After 27 years as a customer of For Eyes, they have lost my business!!! read more

Awful scheduling services. I called to make an appointment and the answering service told me to make an appointment online. I do and received my confirmation email and text. I show up to the appointment where they are told there is no record of my appointment. Apparently the online service is not hooked up to their other appointments. Therefore, they wouldn't see me. I would be giving Four Eyes in Natick no stars if I could - I scheduled an appointment over a month ago, and just got a call less than 24 hours prior to that appointment to cancel it. Apparently the provider "had not yet been certified" by my insurance - I'm not sure why that was not flagged much sooner or why there was so little notice given. I had arranged to take the day off work and even used a vacation day in order to get this appointment in and juggled some scheduling logistics - oh well! In addition, I left a message requesting a call back from the optician office - which was ignored - and the store manager is conveniently on vacation for the rest of the week. There is no one available to resolve any issues before this weekend, and no one who can answer any questions or who is willing to speak with me. Luckily, I was able to find another provider who CAN fit me in tomorrow. read more

I would like to say thanks again to the doctors and staff at For Eyes, in Natick, MA, who recently were able to help my 15 year old son to finally wear contact lenses. I really thought that it would be an impossible mission, but they were very nice and did a great job to achieve it. Before going over to their store, unfortunately I took my son to another (horrible!) doctor, who traumatized him. So, I knew that he wouldn't be an easy patient, but doctor Fattahy nailed it in just two visits! I can't remember the name of the man who helped me (a redheaded younger guy), but he was great. I walked in eight minutes before closing and didn't feel rushed. Instead of pushing me to speed things up, he helped me to find the best deal on the frames I wanted. He worked quickly but thoroughly, and the price was comparable to what I've paid in the past at Pearle Vision (and less expensive than at independent optical shops and mall chains like Lenscrafters). Although a standing AAA discount would be nice, For Eyes seems to offer enough coupons that there's usually a deal applicable to most customers. The glasses were ready in half the time they promised (nice!). The only other thing I'd wish for would be slightly longer hours---though they're open a couple of nights until 8, I'm one of those shoppers who loves a 9:30 closing time. Decent supply of frames. None of the promotions apply to thin lenses, that's expected, though. Thin lenses start at $99. However. Salespeople will flat out lie to get the sale. They highly promote the 3-5 days to get glasses. When I asked the salesperson on a Tuesday if I could get glasses by the end of the week, I was told yes. Friday, possibly Saturday. No glasses. Next time, I'll got to www.39dollarglasses.com - they have next day delivery. Update: They refunded the entire purchase price of the glasses I never received. Since their prices are about half of Lenscrafters, they could be an option if you don't need glasses quickly and if you don't deal with the salespeople. read more

I visited the Natick store several times and each time I have consistently received attentive, helpful, and friendly customer service. Each staff member I've interacted with seems very knowledgeable about store's product lines and seemed genuinely interested in helping me find items that met my needs rather than just being focused on making a quick sale. I feel as though the staff here go above and beyond to take care of their customers whether it is a financial/insurance matter or getting the right fit on your new glasses or even just scheduling an appointment, the Natick staff has always been professional and courteous. It is very rare these days to get that warm fuzzy feeling from a corporate store but this is just the Natick staff has made me feel. This store was quite a surprise. I had left a high end super chain in disgust, and had expected poor service because of their pricing. I could not have been more wrong I called The Natick store Saturday morning and Justine answered all my questions. I asked if could call with a credit card on Sunday. When I called Sunday I spoke with Joe who processed my order for me very professionally. This was without a doubt the highest level of customer service I have experienced. I have been to this location a few times with my girlfriend after she had some frames adjusted and she didn't even buy them here. They adjusted them with no questions asked and even cleaned my glasses for me. Because of this I went to purchase my next pair from Thomas Sheils at the Natick Location. As with the other staff members, Thomas was knowledgeable, helpful, not pushy about making a sale, and informed me of the different pricing options. The staff is so friendly and professional, i would strongly recommend this location to anyone searching for their nnext pair of glasses.
