The Eye Care Center in Hudson, MA was a wonderful experience. They welcomed us the moment we entered the store, allowed us to try on glasses without someone hovering over us, yet they were available to answer any questions we had without waiting, there was a good selection of glasses in various price ranges, there were many lens offerings, the service was given with care and a smile. This was the best experience we have ever had purchasing glasses. And, to top it all off, they accepted my insurance too! Do yourself a favor and stop here first to purchase your glasses, it will be a pleasant experience, and you will leave with a smile! It only took 9 days to receive my glasses in the mail and they are perfect !!! And, we were told that if we needed any adjustments to the glasses to come back and they would assist us right away. No need, but nice to know. Everyone working there, including the manager did their job well and made you feel they wanted to be there helping you. :) Awesome people! Just remember to note their hours because unfortunately, they are not available every day. read more

I am so happy with the exam and new glasses that I got from them . My vision is bad and the new glasses that I got from them has changed my world seriously ! I thought the prices were very fair in fact lower than I expected, no one tried to pressure and upsell to me. If you want good service done right go see them and not these chop shops read more

I went there for an eye exam. I was apprehensive because I feared I had any number of issues with my eyes. Dr. Johnson took her time with me and I came away relieved and with solutions. I totally appreciate her kind, intelligent service. I can't imagine a better Optometrist. read more

they were able to fix my sun glasses at no charge even though I bought them somewhere else and apparently the original place didn't cut my lenses right as they would occasionally fall out. some ingenuity and they have been perfect ever since. as if that wasn't enough few weeks after my original feedback I accidentally scratched my right lens, which was my fault and stopped by to buy a new lens. nope... got me a new lens at no charge. this is customer service at it's best! I took the time out of my day to write my first Yelp review, because of how dissatisfied I am with the service of this place. I came for eyeglasses, and my exam was fine. The optical doctor was pleasant and very professional... But the good service ended there. Upon searching for a pair of eyeglasses, I was shown to a wall of glasses. Most of which are out dated brands, or 3rd rate quality. Which I'm sure is a sales technique, for higher profit margins. I was shown several frames I did not care for. I happened to notice they carried Ray Bans, which is the brand I wanted. But they did not have the exact model I wanted. So Scott (I'm assuming he's the lens guy or the fitment specialist) told me they would order the frames I wanted. I must add, this guy "Scott" was condescending since the get go. Making comments about "that's not how the world works" after asking them to order the frames I wanted. Telling me it's going to cost more money, for no apparent reason. Which, is in fact the most popular frame and size Ray Ban makes now. The "New Wayfarer 58mm" A week later the frames came in and they called me in to "check" them. Which I found odd, because I told Scott exactly what I wanted. So the frames were the wrong size, they were the smaller size, that the manufacturer makes. (Big surprise) Scott insisted that was the biggest size Ray Ban makes. And I assured him that he was incorrect. I had previously checked online! He did not like that I mentioned looking online at the manufacturers website. And But instead of trying to make it right, he immediately offers me a refund and suggested I buy them elsewhere. Scott was not transparent, and definitely not customer oriented. I do not appreciate being talked down to. When in fact I was lied to throughout this ordeal. I would strongly discourage anyone from using The Eye Care Center. At least as long as Scott "the condescending liar" is working there. And if he stays working there... I'm sure they won't stay in business very long. They just lost a long time customer. I'm off to LensCrafters. read more
