From my first consultation, throughout two cataract surgeries and subsequent follow-up appointments, I found Dr Keamy and her entire staff to be informative and supportive. Prior to my first surgery, Dr. Keamy explained in "layman's terms" exactly what the surgery would entail. On the day of surgery I was extremely nervous, however, Dr Keamy put me at ease and the experience was far less stressful than I had anticipated. Not only is Dr. Keamy a skilled surgeon, she is also passionate about what she does. My vision is far better than I expected and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. With absolute certainty I would recommend Dr. Keamy for any type of eye procedure especially cataract surgery. I am an eye doctor in New Jersey and was trying to help a patient of mine who was working and living in Massachusetts He had a severe conjunctivitis in one eye and I thought it would be prudent to have him checked locally. I called Dr Keamy's office and this staff member decided to make up a diagnosis herself over the phone (she would not listen to me or get the facts) refused to continue with making the appointment for my patient. She put the patient at risk for potential loss of sight. When I tried to talk to her she would yell and then hang up the phone. The Patient ended up going to Reliant Medical Group and was treated immediately and appropriately for conjunctivitis.. Dr. Karalekas has proven to be a very competent and caring physician. She was recommended to my by…read moremy optometrist after I became very disenchanted with the ophthamologist that I had been seeing. Dr. Karalekas is an excellent listener and has a great "bedside manner". Her office staff and assistants are also very caring and attentive. Dr. Karalekas does have a busy practice but wait times are not excessive. But more importantly her staff is attentive and makes sure that they go out of their way to pay attention to you during wait times. My wife has also become a patient of the Dr. She has had cataract surgery in both eyes this year. Both procedures were very successful and she is quite pleased with the results. I would recommend Dr. Karalekas to anyone in need of such care. One final note; the previous Dr. that I became disenchanted with had his practice in Worcester, a much closer drive then Dr. Karalekas' Marlboro office. However, Dr. Karalekas also has a satellite office in Worcester, which I can usually use.
