So messed up! They had my prescription incorrect two times! I still don't know if it is correct! They take forever to resolve anything and try to sell you products you don't need. my family and I have been going here for 20 years, but it has changed over the past couple of years. I have been to the office twice in the last 2 weeks and was very disappointed to see 2 of the staff not wearing their masks right each time! 1st time was, the girl with short red hair who did my tests was talking on the phone with her mask down when I was leaving after my exam. 2nd time When I walked in the male staff had his mask under his chin. I know many people don't take this pandemic seriously, but I would expect a Medical office to do better and follow the safety rules! Review based on three years of family visits. Positives: Nice facilities and a convenient location. Friendly and competent staff. Reasonable quality of care. Negatives: Your experience depends on which doctor you see. We had pleasant experiences with Dr. Green (no longer there) and Dr. Thamel. We cannot recommend Dr. Ricciardi, who in our experiences was more concerned with pushing products than responding to our eye care needs. Factor in the routinely long waits, and it contributed to a rather disempowering experience. (One upshot to the long waits: plenty of opportunity to observe Dr. Ricciardi interact with other patients - suffice to say, product pushing is more generalized than just our experience). We've ultimately chosen to take our eye care needs elsewhere. Hopefully you'll have a more consistent experience, but go with 'open eyes'! read more

My appointment was quick and thorough. The staff was very helpful. The lady who helped me order my glasses was funny and informative. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars (for now) is that I've been waiting almost 2 weeks for my glasses when I was told 5 business days. I've called the office twice in the last week and both times was told "we will call you back with the status of your glasses". I have yet to receive that phone call back. IF I get a phone call back, I will bump up the review. But as of right now, there's something wrong and I'm not being informed fully. read more

As long as you have an appointment and the appropriate insurance information, they are great. I went in as a new patient after not having been to the eye doctor in a few years. My doctor (unfortunately I can't remember her name) was very nice, thorough, and accommodating. We chatted the whole time and she was very clear about the eye exam procedures and results. I ended up needing glasses and she was very helpful in telling me when and when not to wear them for best results. I went in to try on frames without an appointment. There was a wait (understandably so, as they are a busy office) but they were able to squeeze me in and my glasses arrived in under a week. Overall, I was very happy with the experience. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Ricciardi's for over 15 years. As a young child, my dtr was seeing double. Dr Ricciardi identified it right away on an initial visit (my daughter never told anybody) and Dr Thamel provided her with vision therapy which corrected her condition. Dr Ricciardi is kind, efficient, personable and explains everything she is doing. I have never had a long wait and the friendly staff is helpful and don't rush me with finding the perfect frame in their large selection for my face. I highly recommend them! read more

Well for years I naturally had excellent vision. But about 5 years ago it was starting to get blurry or fuzzy. I work on a computer all day. So I had made an appointment at Vision Source on Park Ave Worcester, it was the one of the best days of my life getting my vision back. I Can't thank that office enough. With good insurance I pay it's normal copay for the yearly eye exam (Yes I pay a copay, I happen to work in Medical Billing and it is correct) and do pay out of pocket to have the scan that isn't covered by insurance. I will start my review with the doctors. I saw Dr. Ricciardi for my initial visit. She was great. She lowered my prescription which alleviated the issues I was having. I had a second follow up visit with Dr. Horn. She was very nice and was accommodating with changing my contacts to two week vs the monthly. I would definitely like to go back as long as the receptionist wasn't there. She has zero interpersonal skills and a bad attitude. On my second visit (the follow up to check the fit of the contacts). She told me I had a $40 copay. I questioned it bc it was a follow up just to check the fit. Major attitude. Didn't check with anyone else just "if you see the doctor it's a service". Ok. Then I asked the doctor and she confirmed I was right. My account was credited but all I got from her was a sarcastic "sorry". If she's not there or working on the day I come in I'd love to go there again. But that rudeness and shitty attitude is not acceptable to me. 5 stars if not for her. read more

Audrey, the woman who sales glasses is the most racist person there. If you're late, and she doesn't like you, she would just give you a very lousy customer service, and will say "I'm sorry, what did you say?" Yo everything you said to let you know she doesn't care what you're saying, and will also ask you WHY you're late evening those she still is not going to let come in late. Of course, this doesn't apply to everyone, if you're white and have no accent , she'll treat you better. I called to let them know I was running 15 late, and ask if my kid could still be seen, Audrey said NO, you're late and we have the next appointment already waiting, so I ask to switch, she said NO. When I got to the office, the Dr Haake told me they are running late because earlier customers where late. So, it is ok to take other customers late, but not me??? WTF?! If I didn't call to let them know I was late, they could've made wait about 20 minutes anyway, because they were already running way late. And this was a 10 am appointment. The person who has a 10.20 appointment was called at 10.25., to go sit on another waiting area. read more

So I was very disappointed in my visit today. I've been here a couple times with my dad. The people are nice and helpful, but they really don't know really know what they are doing. I was there today for a contacting fitting and I made this appointment a week ago. When I made this appointment the told me my insurance will cover 130$ towards either contact fitting exam or my contacts. I have never worn contacts before and I was planing to use it towards the contact fitting because what if I don't even like contacts and it would be a waste. So when I'm all done and ready to pay. One of the ladies called to "double check" and when she got off the phone she said it was only 60$ off my exam. So I'm very upset because why didn't she call to double a week ago before I made this appointment and when we were discussing the numbers of what I would be paying. This was a very disappointing and upsetting experience and I will not be returning. read more
