This time, they were actually running a 50% off special on some brand name glasses. We picked a pair and loved how it looked on my husband. Since it was 50% off, we couldn't even find a cheaper price online - believe me, I tried. I had expected the lenses would be outrageously price but they were actually quite reasonable. The staff took the time to chat with us about the different options and understood our needs. My husband got the new progressive lenses, which are apparently pretty top of the line and ultra thin. We just picked up the lenses the other day and my husband loves it. Everything was adjusted perfectly. They were even kind enough to adjust some other glasses we had around. One thing I love most about the customer service here is that they dont spread themselves too thin. When they are helping you, they are dedicated to it and don't try to take care of too many clients at a time, even if that means these new people who walk in have to wait.

Really frustrating experience. I made an appointment for eye exam to get new glasses and contacts…read more Glasses prescription was fine, though I got glasses elsewhere. The contact lenses were a nightmare! First contacts prescription was completely wrong. Could barely see with them. Went to an appointment to get them corrected but I accidentally forgot the lenses, asked if they could reset my appointment for any time later that day...NO. I had to wait 2.5 weeks to get seen again! At the next appointment, they "corrected" the prescription but it took them one month to have them available. Despite multiple inquiries about my contacts, emails and calls to their lens center, the contacts were sent to a different office, about 35 miles away! I asked if they could either transfer to my doctor's office or mail to me...NO! They insisted on a whole new order. Yet more waiting! They did expedite the order but the prescription is still off. I need to hold small print about a yard from my eyes to able to read it. There was no follow up on their part. Totally frustrated, I am going next week to a different doctor and company to get contact lenses that are supposed to be right for me! To add to the frustration and my negativity was that I was there three times a week asking for my lenses (only because my physical therapy was across the hall) and each and every time they asked my name (you'd think they'd remember after 10x, assure me that they would call me as soon as they would come in; when they eventually came in, nobody called. What a waste of money and time!!!

They made them right there on the premises. With Focal Point you are not dealing with a chain who has to wait for the manufacturer to make your lens and glasses. From February through June, I tried one contact lens after another with this other practice, and they still couldn't get my prescription right. It was a nightmare! I was running out of time, contact lenses and patience, since I rely 100% on contact lenses for vision. Out of desperation, I booked a visit to Sudbury Eye Care. In contrast to the large corporate practice, Dr. Labiento: 1. Took as much time as I needed for each visit; 2. Had a huge inventory of trial contact lenses in stock, which she could tinker with as needed by applying magnifying lenses; 3. encouraged experimentation across a broad range of contact lens brands, including many boutique brands. Within a short time she had optimized my prescription, each eye with a different brand. When I showed up at Dr. Labiento's door my eyesight was so bad I couldn't legally drive. I now have 20/20 and 20/30 vision. I would give her 10 stars if I could!
