I got my first Google Glass last month. While Google suggested that I go to one of the approved providers I chose to go to Weston Optical where I know and trust the people and am glad I did for they know me and they know my eyes. The Google frames are rather limited in styling but, of course, that is not the point. Despite the newness of the whole thing, getting prescription lenses installed and Google Glass operational was a breeze. I was very worried about the lens part of this but Weston Optical made it a non-event. What was supposed to take two weeks took one. They know what they are doing. read more

Only interested in selling you expensive services. Many years ago, I purchased a very expensive pair of glasses. Service was excellent and product was as well during the initial purchase and when I replaced the lenses. About 8 years ago, the left arm broke. They tried to "convince" me to purchase a new pair of glasses with the story that the bridge or right arm was going to be compromised. I declined and they reluctantly replaced just the left arm. About 5 years ago, I had cataract surgery on my left eye and vision was corrected so I replaced the left lens with a clear lens. Again, they gave me the hard sell to replace both lenses or at least have scratch proof coating ($150) on the new lens - lenses will look different, scratches on the old lens, etc. Again, I declined and they reluctantly replaced just the left lens with a clear lens w/o coating. Just recently, I got cataract surgery on my right eye, so I called them to see if I could just replace the right lens with a reading lens. After looking up my glasses, they claimed that my left lens was a progressive lens and that they could "only" replace my right lens with a like product. When I told them that was not true and I only wanted a quote for replacing the right lens with a non-coated +1.00 reading lens, they decided I was no longer worth their time and effort . They told me "I have another customer waiting for me" and hung up. So, if you have money to spend, they will fawn on you. But once they figured out that they cannot make anymore money off of you, they will literally kick you out the door. Sad read more

Family owned, not a chain, this is a small eyewear store with a great selection of high end eye wear. Old school customer service, as in they help you until you have what you need. It's so much fun going in there. When I work with Jesse he takes the time with me. I am a daily glasses wearer and get stopped in the street with "I love your glasses, where did you get them.". It's no pearl vision so if you want the factory style in and out this is not for you. But if you're into style, quality and looking good, go here. AWESOME!!!! What a gorgeous establishment and professional atmosphere. I went in for just a nose pad on my favorite Gucci sunglasses and lo and behold Jesse overhauled my glasses. He tightened the temples, replaced both nose pads and totally cleaned the lenses and added a silicone covering to the lenses. He was so friendly too. I felt like family! I have been a customer of Weston Optical for at least twenty years. Ten years ago, when I bought my "new titanium frames", I was told they were indestructible and they would long outlast me. Since the frames were a small fortune, I was very pleased to hear it. This week. one of the arms of my "indestructible" frames broke in half. When I took them back to Weston Optical, I was told the proprietors would never say frames would last forever and then I was charged $150.00 for the repair. Weston optical was defensive, borderline hostile and now I feel that instead of having been sold indestructible frames, I was sold a bill of goods. The staff is exceptionally competent and patient. They have a great selection of the latest frames. My two children need glasses, and they are patient with both of them. They have a few small toys for the kids to play with also. The glasses are wonderful; and they keep the paperwork, so if the child breaks the glasses, they help with the warranty. Great customer service. We go in often to have the glasses adjusted. This is a family business, and they definitely treat you like family. I deal with son Jesse, who grew up in the business and is carrying on a tradition of trusted, professional advice. They don't try to sell you the most expensive frames; just what's right for you. You can certainly buy cheaper frames -- or frames, cheaper -- elsewhere, but the level of service, both before and after the sale, is unsurpassed. That makes a difference, when you go in, periodically, to get frames checked/adjusted at no charge. They're not trying to make a sale, they're trying to build a relationship. They have great frames, of course. The optician I normally went to retired and I needed to find a new place for glasses. I ended up browsing at two different optical stores, and Weston Optical was by far the best. Not only is there a large selection of frames, but the service is wonderful. Another reviewer used the word 'impeccable'--I could not agree more. Russell was very attentive and helped me in the selection of frames. I was not rushed at all. Because of my complicated prescription, I was concerned about getting the prescription 'right'--- the final result is that I am thrilled with my new glasses--they look and feel great.
