The wrong pair was ordered (though i said i wanted the sample they provided which i was told was in my chart) and shipped to me and then i had to call over 8 times to get in touch with someone. Two weeks later I provided my credit card and was told the new contacts would be in. I called 1.5 weeks later and was told they will need my credit card to order. There is a clear disconnect between front and back office and it is difficult to manage when each conversation is repetitive and continues to cause a wrong next step. It is now over 5 weeks since i first ordered my contacts :( this is frustrating. Great clinical care, but be wary when ordering contacts/glasses. I'll likely be looking elsewhere to avoid this experience again.

We arrived right on time and the eye doctor asked us to wait a few minutes because she was finishing up with a sales rep. She and the sales rep sat at the front talking. After about ten minutes I asked the assistant there if we had our time wrong and he told me that the doctor and the sales person were just being "chatty cathys". After fifteen minutes, they looked up and said it would be a while more. I asked them to try and wrap it up and the sales rep got very angry with me. He glared at me kept going with Dr. Civetti and then went into the back room and said that we were "kicking him out". We decided to leave and skip the appointment. I could tell that my daughter was really uncomfortable and it just didn't' seem worth the conflict. I completely understand things running over, but it is hard to justify it with a sales rep rather than a client. Also, communication would have gone a really long way. Even if she had been running half an hour late, a heads up would have let us go for a walk or get a snack. Overall, the vibes weren't great. I will say that Dr. Civetti left a voicemail later to check in about what happened. I wouldn't recommend this place, but it could work out better for other people. If you have anxiety or need clear communication, definitely look elsewhere.

Clearly that response posted was not meant for me, but rather a manipulative attempt to discredit and dismiss me. It was not a misunderstanding or an exception. Through my work as a mental health care provider, I've become pretty adept at picking up on intentions and understanding what's being communicated by taking in the totality of verbal and non-verbal communication, not to mention calling BS when someone is trying to deflect responsibility. Weston is a small town, we tend to be able to communicate about what's going on in it pretty efficiently. While I will only speak about my experiences, this was not an exception, and there is absolutely no indication of any substantive "commitment" against this kind of gaslighting at the store.

From the initial consultation, the staff were friendly, patient and understanding of my nerves. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Giles was great and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The procedure took less than 20 minutes and was painless. After the procedure I experienced very little discomfort and after a few days, any discomfort I did have completely went away. I experienced dry eyes for the first week, but since then that has also gone away. Being able to see is the greatest gift and I am beyond grateful to TLC for giving me the gift of eyesight. If you are nervous to get LASIK, know that I was too, but wish I hadn't been so nervous because in the end I had such a positive experience.

I called to get the price of a contact lens exam, which isn't covered by my insurance. I was quoted…read more$80. They charged me over $132. I said that when I called I was quoted $80, but they didn't care. They told me that contact lens exams start at $80 and said she should have told me that. Whose fault is that? But I'll take that up with the AG's office. I also had a regular eye exam, which was covered by my insurance. When I looked at the prices of the frames, most were between $550 and $750, and that was without the lenses with all the special coatings they were pushing. Then you have to wait after picking out frames because there's only one person that handles the ordering. When it was my turn, she made the comment that she really liked my frames. I said, "Good, put lenses in these frames" and I took the glasses off and handed them to her. (I prescription shades in the car.) The frames I was wearing were much nicer than any that they had. And my glasses only cost me $325 INCLUDING LENSES at Waverly Eye Care in Belmont. I would have gone to Belmont, where they only charge 50 bucks for a contact lens exam, but it was toward the end of the year and they didn't have any appointments before my benefits would expire. (My bad.) I should have known when MyEyeDr was the only outfit that had plenty of appointment times available. It's because they're so wildly overpriced, deceptive, and upsell driven. In addition to all that, the trial contact lenses that they gave me had expired over 7 months prior to my appointment in December, 2025. Is that even legal?
